Magic Chef in Wellingborough

The best Chinese locally we have found, really great food. Also very good for gluten free options, very knowledgeable and able to adjust dishes as needed. Highly recommend.

We fancied a takeaway before a weekend trip away and so visited Magic Chef or the first time. The food was lovely and the portions very generous (if we hadn't been going away we would have had enough for the following day). Will definitely visit again.

We love Magic Chef! Every time we've been there with friends, they have always been amazed at the large servings and value for money. The food has been great every single time.

Magic Chef never disappoints. Always fresh, hot out the pan, colourful and flavourful every time. We haven't been since before the pandemic, but the standards have not dropped in the slightest. They are just as brilliant as they were when they opened. Very worth the visit, please do check them out!

This is by far and away the best Chinese takeaway I have ever found. The food is always cooked to order and is still piping hot even after a 10 minute drive back home. The food is fresh and flavourful compared to many of the other bland offerings in the area, We have been looking for a long time for a takeaway that was able to serve fresh food with the traditional flavours and spices and ingredients that used to be offered before prepared frozen foods became the norm. Well this is it! The servings are larger than usual and full of the main protein, and are very good value for money. They do not deliver but are worth the drive to pick your order up. By the way, we have never had anything missing from our order despite there usually being over 10 separate dishes. Try the Magic Garden once and you'll never go anywhere else - I promise.

This is the very best Chinese takeaway food we have ever eaten. It's home-made, using the highest quality ingredients. We have used this takeaway twice now. The first time we ordered, we got home and could not believe what we saw and tasted. I felt I had walked away only paying half the bill...I felt guilty for not being charged more! Then we visited again, and I was so thoughtless because I realised later, that I could have left a tip. I will do this moving forward. Thank you so much Magic Chef. Such lovely people too.
