Magic Chef in St. Helens

First time ordering from here and never again food was cold chicken was dry and the chips are frozen very disappointing.

Horrible staff horrible food come freezing cold and like it had been sat in the box for over 2 hours the delivery driver had a horrible attitude when I rang for my money back n to come and to collect the food then I get threatened by a woman on the phone I'm a chef my self and no way would I send food out like I received

We waited hour and half for our food to be delivered to then ring and ask how long it will be & the lady said one of the drivers had broken car so had to get another driver in, going onto 2 hours we cancelled. The lady was rude on the phone and blunt. Order from here regularly, won’t be doing from now on. Was a 20+ order too.

Absolutley everything that was ordered was awful. I've ordered from alot of Chinese chippys across St helens and this was by far the worst. Crispy Chilli beef - what we expected and what we received was the total opposite end of the scale. It was mostly stale batter and no beef,extremely bland, no flavour whatsoever just spice, watery and disgusting. Fried rice - more like boiled rice with dried and stale chunks of egg in. Stuck to the container, clumpy, dry, luke warm and clearly made in bulk and sat for hours waiting to be sold. Deep fried combination - prawn toast, greasy bread with sesame seeds, dry and bland, spring roll was average, ribs where average, chicken satay sticks where that dry, stale and cold like they had been made the day before and kept warm. Salt and pepper combination box - everything had thick stale cold batter covering it, tough to eat, the ribs we bit into was raw, chips where soggy. Unedible food and a waste of £24. They have 5 star ratings awards put up on the wall inside this chippy and I confirm that not one of the stars given are for the food. If you want fresh, hot and food that actually tastes of something your better off avoiding this chippy 👎

Always a lovely meal and served by a very pleasant lady!! I have absolutely no hesitation in returning to Magic Chef whenever I fancy a takeaway!!

Ordered from here tonight, won’t be again!! Beef curry was very thick, like sticky toffee!! Spring rolls definitely not worth the money! Think they had just taken them out of an Iceland party platter and fried them! Very disappointed

Ordered from Magic Chef lots of times and have never had a bad meal. Staff are always lovely and friendly.

Ordered a vegetarian hot & sour and when I got home I found it had strips of meat in it, I called the takeaway and the girl who took my order said she didnt know it had meat in it and apologised. I then went on to the main meal and found it had the wrong sauce with it, I called back and this time they were having none of it and rudely hung up on me...charming
