Realmente disfrutamos de nuestra visita a Madre. Habíamos reservado una mesa, pero íbamos a llegar tarde y así que contactamos con el restaurante un sábado por la noche y preguntamos si podíamos hacer retroceder nuestra reserva - estaban más que felices de acomodar esto e incluso recibieron una confirmación por correo electrónico. Cuando llegamos el ambiente era bueno, ocupado y animado. Recibido por un amable cortador y mostrado a nuestra mesa. El personal era amable y tenía buen conocimiento del menú y hizo recomendaciones. Todo lo que comimos fue delicioso y sabroso. Teníamos 5 platos pequeños entre nosotros dos y luego pedimos dos más ya que estábamos siendo cerdo.

Vinimos para una cena temprana por recomendación de mis hermanos y nos quedamos impresionados con el ambiente y el servicio. Pedimos dos lados y tres porciones de taco entre dos personas, así como bebidas y esto era comida más que suficiente - solo la crítica de la comida de mi lado sería la cantidad de cilantro, pero no soy un fan, así que esto no era realmente por parte del restaurante. Los papas con crema eran increíbles, y estaba tan emocionado de ver que tenían Jarritos!

Great food, venue and staff. Good flavours together, not compromising on ‘westernising’ it, proper Mexican flavours. Music great!

Perfect meal - great food, drinks, and really helpful with allergies and ingredients. Had some of the Christmas menu too - sprout tacos, which were great. Thank you!

Realmente disfrutamos de nuestra visita a Madre y tuvimos una gran variedad de auténtica comida mexicana, incluyendo deliciosos tacos, elegimos la espinilla de res y el abadejo. Aunque nuestro pedido original salió incorrectamente chapado, tuvimos que recordar a nuestro servidor el pedido exacto. También disfrutamos de nachos y churros. El lugar estaba bastante lleno con un gran ambiente, pero la música de fondo, para nosotros, era demasiado alta e impidió una conversación fácil. Además, la iluminación en el pasillo central de los asientos del mostrador de la cocina era de un rojo bastante desconcertante, ¡que jugaba malas pasadas con los colores de los alimentos!

Went with friends. Has the oysters, sea bass ceviche tostada, tuna tartare tostada, mushroom and fish tacos. The guys had cocktails, the watermelon salad and the chicken, halloumi and beef tacos. No one had mains. Everything was spot on. Fab and tasty. I wouldnt bother with the oysters again as I felt mine were small and not good value. The guys were happy with theirs. Food, service and atmosphere excellent. Great spot for lunch. Not cheap, but then again, nothing is these days. Would defo go back.

The first time we went here (a few weeks back) we thought it was amazing and unreal flavours and quality of food and amazing service however when we went this week the menu had changed and sadly not for the better - all the tacos we had just had a base of either fish, halloumi, mushrooms and not much else in them, quite disappointing as it would be so easy to do this at home, I really want more and a dreamy taste combination from a taco. Also second time round the service was no where near as good.

Quite simple the best Mexican food I’ve had, outstanding and authentic. Really nice vibe about the place too. Wish there was a Madre near me in Newcastle! Will be back.

Amazing restaurant!! The food is delicious, the pork belly bites are insanely good. Beautiful restaurant as well, gorgeous design and cohesive theming throughout. Industry deals are so so good too!
