Great food but 45 minutes later than first advised. Poor.

Absolutely stunning curry. Madras was fantastic

The onion bhaji were slightly burnt. The goan curry was too mild for my taste, i was expecting a hot curry.

Great food, My Biryani was missing the side sauce, I rang them and the delivered the sauce promptly along with a few poppadoms . Thank you.

BRING THE OLD OWNERS BACK !! I wish I’d read the latest reviews before ordering… I had no idea they had changed hands. It did not take long to realise as soon as I unpacked my food. The ‘Chicken Tikka’ was like the chicken tikka you buy for sandwiches… sliced thinly and 100% had been cooked twice. It had that horrible overdone chewy yucky taste to it. My naan bread might have well been a flat bread. The mint sauce was ACTUAL mint sauce from a jar mixed in with yogurt. It was foul. My salad was brown with funny colour water leaking from it. It was not worth the hassle to call them to complain as this was so not fixable or saveable. I am so so gutted and disappointed they’ve changed hands. Food went in the garden for the fox - hopefully he likes it. Bring back the old chefs and owners !

New review updated, Never had a bad meal from here, consistent quality, wouldn't bother going elsewhere. GUTTED, What has happened, 13 years of outstanding food, but, went tonight 24th Feb 24, must be new owners and chefs, the food was terrible, it was unrecognisable to the food of the last 13 years, please can you tell me where the Chefs have gone so I can go there.

Another storming curry from the madras. I love the dansak (because I'm mad on lentils) but also enjoy the chicken kochi (with thinly sliced fried onions) and chicken saag madras hot (spinach). Give them a go!

Been using this place for a while and, I'm sorry to say, it's gone downhill. Used to be good but the last two meals I've ordered from them have turned up late and been very poor quality. Last night's was over two hours late and stone cold. Won't be using them again.

This is the jewel in the crown of Indian food in Sketty. It’s take away only but thats ok. I have ordered many times, trying different dishes, and have always been very impressed by the taste and quality of each dish. You can have the food delivered to your door and I have done this several times especially over lockdown periods. The food always arrives in good time and is always hot and well packed. Great place.

We ordered 2 curries rice nann and bahjees The curries were Ok not a lot of meat but tasty Rice was Oknann should have had sultannas but didn't Bahgees were freshly cooked but unfortunately not on the day I bought themThe whole delivery came in it's own bag of ghee

So disappointed. Not been since re opened, used to be much better. Prices gone up quite a bit and some v bland food. Good naan and bhuna but sag paneer, special biryani and bhajs were extremely bland. Really hope just a blip!

I have ordered here a few times and have usually been very impressed with the food, however tonight I am very disappointed. Absolutely no flavour to the food at all. I ordered a biryani along with three other people and all of us were very disappointed. No flavour, very bland. Not good at all.

I have been getting takeaway from this restaurant for a couple of years now and I can’t remember a bad one. Lots of food and very tasty. There can be a bit of spillage in the bag occasionally but that’s the only minor issue.The madras is great (obviously) as are the Saag dishes

Very friendly and helpful staff. First visit here and we ordered several different dishes. Onion bhajis were ok, not very flavoursome but they were not greasy which was great. We also had the chicken saag and bhoona both looked good but again just lacked that great flavour that curry’s have. Nothing wrong with them but just unfortunately very average. Poppadoms and Chutney tray was good as they do the coconut! Was expecting a lot from reviews and the amount of people collecting food but sadly it didn’t quite live up to expectations

Always our first choice when having an Indian take away. Good size portions with plenty of meat and tasty sauce, do agree with earlier reviews could be spicier. Also make good use of the delivery service.

OK - I couldn't give Madras a 5 star - because they don't tend to make their dishes hot/spicy (no matter how much you ask them!) BUT they focus on flavours. And the flavours are simply sensational.The chicken tikka pieces starter is simply the best Indian starter I have ever eaten. Good selection of meats/chicken/lamb. Prawn I don't think is worth it.So if you like flavour over heat in your curry dishes and big chunks of soft tender chicken - this is a very good takeaway.Overall a great curry house - close to 5 star but not quite there yet.

Gone downhill over the last year also the chicken has turned into the rubber type chicken and meals just not consistent anymore, pity used to be one of my favourites not anymore

Used to call in regularly for a take away. A few decent places opened up closer to home, so hadn't been in for a while. Been a bit disappointed with some of the others I'd been using so started using Madras again. Food is always good and staff friendly. It's usually easy to park nearby which is a bonus as Swansea Council now have the van with the camera to fine you £30 for nipping into a take away.

Madras you have to be the best prepared Indian takeaway food in Swansea Three times running I could not fault the food I received I give you 10/10 I'm also glad to see that my Lamb Sag had plenty of the main ingredient Spinach as other takeaways have reduced their Spinach next to nothing Please continue to give outstanding food

Best takeaway in Swansea, never fails, always fresh produce, highly recommended. We have been going here for over 5 years and wouldn't dream of going elsewhere having a delivery service and being able to pay by card over the phoneor on delivery is a bonus

Has anybody else noticed a change for the worse at Madras? I have loved it and been singing it's praises for a long time, but after my last 3 visits I am now considering going somewhere else. Orders messed up, waiting an hour, and quality not as expected. Seems too much of a coincidence and very disappointed after loving it for so long.

Best take away in Swansea. After 5yrs it's still the best, I have never known a food outlet to be so consistent with fresh quality Good, well done guys.

Me apetecía un curry después de unas copas de vino, así que necesitábamos un lugar que entregar. Encontramos Madrás en Sketty via internet y llamó para ver si entregar a cruzar al oeste. Afortunadamente no colocarse y que la orden era entregado a su puerta en unos 40 minutos. Estaba delicioso. Preciosa bolsa de samosas con ensalada muy fresca, pollo tikka bhuna balti y gambas con el mayor de los langostinos que jamás he tenido una comida para llevar. También par de platos de arroz y verduras que se naan delicioso y caliente. Hombre de entrega también muy amable. Creo que este será mi nuevo vaya a llevar.

Great Indian food at reasonable price to take away.

After trying several Indian takeaways since i moved to Swansea, I hadn't found one that i enjoyed so much so that i would stay loyal to..that was until i found 'Madras'. The curries are delicious and definitely the best i have had in Swansea. Also, the chicken is so tender. No minimum order charge which is great, Especially if it is a meal for one, (as sad as that sounds)

Not had an Indian for over a month, thought I would had back to my favourite Indian ever. Well what can I say you never get it wrong, every meal I have ever had off you is perfect. Don't ever change we love your food sooooo much.Well done.Would have added a pic but it was not on my plate long enough.

What a taste sensation, the freshness and flavours of each dish was tantalisingly good. The prawn puri is about the best we've tasted and the garlic chilli chicken, korai chicken and special fired rice do not disappoint. This will be becoming our regular no matter how far we have to travel. We liked that you can see in to the kitchen and the staff are really friendly.

I love this place so much. I ordered a chicken tikka madras with rice, I don't know what they do to their chicken but it melts in your mouth.I would recommend this curry house to everyone. My husband and I have a takeaway from there very regularly, also the good news is they deliver as well. Please please try it out its lush.

Have had the pleasure of having quite a few deliveries from Madras, I usually take a random selection from the menu, and to be fair I have enjoyed every one, very helpful staff on the phone.

We had a takeaway from the madras and once again it was spot on.the jalfrazi has got to be the best around loads of chillies realy nice. The wife and daughter had chicken tikka massala and both enjoyed will keep on munching take aways here as the portions are huge at least 9 to 10 pieces of chicken in each meal well done to the staff as well always friendly and good food.

Been here tens of times and not once disappointed!

Bought an indian on way home, food was absolutely delicious, especially Keema Nan. My daughter had Chicken Korma which she absolutely enjoyed and I had a mild chicken curry with vegetable rice. A first for me and I absolutely enjoyed it. Parking a bit of a problem if it is busy but definitely worth finding a parking spot and going there.

We've been getting take aways from here for about 5 years. We have never had a dodgy meal - always restaurant standard food - and good sized portions. It's not the cheapest take away around - but the quality and consistency more than makes up for this. Can get very busy at the weekend but it's worth the wait. Highly recommended.

very very friendly staff who know you by your name when ordering. Very welcoming staff. Modern interior, with an immaculate open kitchen. The curry club from the Dunvant club have eaten curry from here for the past 3 years, and we have never had a bad meal. I used this takeaway a long time ago and it was crap but circumstances led me to use again some 2 years later and what a difference the chicken is no longer the processed muck they used to call chicken the meals we have had since have been consistently good the sauces which ever you choose are spot on and portions are huge nan bread always great trust me I have eaten curries regularly for 45 years give Madras a shot

Have ordered from here a few times and usually nice and speedy delivery ! To night was a different story , was told an hours delivery (acceptable on a saterday night) rang them to chase up after 1 hour 20 minutes to be told it would be another 20 minutes then hung up before we could reply !! 30 minutes later food turned up and driver handed it over and ran away before any comments could be made !Food would probably be nice if hot but was stone cold+

Had a take away which about 45 mins to delivery but a large order. Food arrived, driver very friendly gave the driver a small tip, started with out kebab mix starter and wish I tipped more as the food was fantastic and cheap.

Visited madras after reading the reviews on trip advisor. Rang order through. Was advised it would be ready in ten minutes. It was. Polite staff. Average takeaway prices. Both chicken madras and pathia were delicious. Generous portion of rice and chips. Chips were ok, bit soggy but edible. Curry flavour was spot on. Thoroughly enjoyed

ordered a delivery, it took three hours to arrive. Absolutely appalling service, all they offered us as an apology for this was poppadoms, no chutney just poppadoms. Very disappointed

Just ate the most beautiful takeaway (delivery ) I've had in a long time. Madras in Swansea, beautifully cooked,fresh, tasty and hot, nothing disappointed about this meal. I heartily recommend the tandoori king prawn and tarka dahl whilst the onion bhajis were gorgeously crispy and light. Yum, yum. Don't think I'll get an Indian takeaway from anywhere else in future.

Popped in to this takeaway on the off chance... Very glad we did! Chicken vindaloo was perfect, as was the rice & naan. Chicken was tender & sauce was hot without being overpowering & the flavours of the spices and fresh ingredients clearly came through.Will definitely be returning.

We have been using the Madras for over a year now and we think it is one of the best curry houses in Swansea. Excellent choices, friendly staff who are always happy to help and the food is always fresh and tasty.

My third time having a takeaway from madras and it was lovely! I am a real fussy person that likes fresh, healthy food and madras seems to hit the spot. Great food and friendly staff!

only Indian takeaway I use now, the only criticism is that you get too much food but rather too much than too little! plenty of meat and not had a bad meal, recommend.

Just no flavor huge chunks of tough lamb had to cut it up to try to eat it no curry taste wanted to support local take away sorry it was awful all went in bin we had two diff dishes

For many years I have been enjoying Indian cuisine and have visited all restaurants in Swansea. Now that I have children I more frequently get food in and use take-aways. I have used various ones. At times you find a good one but then it turns poor.Then I found Madras in Sketty. I have been using Madras frequently for about a year now. Never has the quality of food been any different from the last. Consistently good and never disappointing. I mostly get food delivered. All delivery drivers are polite and friendly. Living several miles away from Sketty they usually say within an hour although I have never waited any longer.The quality of the food is superb. It is far superior to other take aways in the area and is more of a restaurant quality. You can tell that the best and freshest ingredients are used.I have tried various meals from the menu which is broad and covers all bases.If you visit the venue then you can see the cooks preparing the food which in my opinion speaks dividends. When I have been there many other customers do too which shows it is popular. The cost is fair and not excessive. I have also asked for meals not on the menu and they have always delivered to a high quality.I would definitely recommend Madras if you are looking to order an indian meal. You will not be disappointed.

I've never had anything less than a beautiful curry from here. Not only do they deliver, (which is great in itself) but the portions are large, the people who work there are friendly and they're always pretty prompt time-wise. It might take up to an hour for your food to arrive, but that's just because they're presumably so busy. 10/10. I recommend them all the time. :)
