Found this cafe by accident when I was had gone to visit one across the street which was closed when I got there. This is a home bakery with a cafe up a few steps at back of shop. I had a latte and a coconut pink éclair type donut. I got some cheese and bacon sodas to take away also. The place is spotless and the staff super friendly. They do a limited lunch menu and stay open until 5.30pm which is good. Priced fairly. I will be going again for something.

Going here for years, nice place, food and service.... At times it could do with a deep clean that includes the toilets...

Staff where very good to us, although quite un-organised and not overly helpful towards each other. My meal was over cooked especially the chips. I was disappointed with the food. A little back ground music would help make the experience more enjoyable/interesting. Most likely won't eat there again unfortunately.

We had a really great meal, from a varied and interesting menu. There is a lovely calm atmosphere upstairs in the restaurant, followed by a lively busy bar downstairs. The service was fantastic from a really knowledgeable ’server’, Lauren, who clearly takes a lot of pride in doing her job well. The manager, Keith, was also very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend The Plough Inn for a great meal, and a fun night out.

Arrived after stating that we were coming as 2 adults and a child. Weren’t offered a high chair. Asked for the Liverpool match to be turned on to be told the box was playing up. Beers came and tasted like the lines had been cleaned. Asked for a drinks menu and nobody came back to take a drinks order. The kids meal came with beef that was so tough I couldn’t even get a knife through it. Went to the bar to order a drink and there was nobody serving. I got the beef to start which didn’t even have batter on the lukewarm and cold strips of beef it just fell off and wasn’t fried properly. The main I got was ok. Ordered a drink and it never came by the time I finished my meal. Waited 15 minutes on the bill. £90 later - Never ever again.

Good food, best I've had for a breakfast anywhere. The staff are all very friendly and the place has a nice atmosphere. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good fry
