Best Chinese in hull! Forever my favourite.

Used to be really good, now poor ingredients, too expensive and favourite items removed from menu 😔

I recently found Macau Chinese Takeaway, and it's become my favourite spot for tasty and personalized meals. Salt and pepper club is amazing

Probably the best Chinese takeaway in Hull.

Super rude delivery service, made us walk all the way to his car and then told us we shouldn’t order from them again as it’s too far for them to deliver. If that’s the case they should never have accepted the order. Such a shame since the foods nice.

Food arrived 50 minutes later than the 1 hour advertised on website. Starters cold and covered in condensation in the packaging ; mains were tepid. Staff unhelpful when phoning to chase why delivery hadn't arrived...

Been using this takeaway for years never had an issue until the last month. Its now really dropped in quality and the last 2 times it's gone in the bin. Sort it out Macau !!

Decided to give this place a go. So the first problem came with delivery. I did leave instructions to call me once here so I can come out and pick up the food. Since I live in a shared house. The delivery driver did not call me but knocked on the door which to no surprise I did not hear... Other than that the delivery itself was fast. The food is decent for a takeaway and I got what I ordered. Will I order again? I will give this another go for sure.

They have 1 job - to take food orders and they can’t even get that right. Every single time I order it’s always wrong and they “forget” the prawn crackers yet still charge for items missing and guy on reception is so rude. Shame because the food is normally nice but just awful service.

Don't miss out on the spicy munchie boxes they offer. Worth every penny and you get enough to feed 2 from. Box came packed to the brim. Foods always been spot on. If you want delivery you have to use the macau website. Cheaper to call in though

I’m a regular at this restaurant & I definitely recommend. Great food, good service & honest staff. I once accidentally overpaid & they sent me my money back. I recommend the spicy box, Thai green curry & crispy chilli beef. 10/10.

Absolutely lovely service if you go in. However the delivery is hell if you order online unfortunately. By the time the food arrives it can be quite cold. But when I popped in and ordered in person it was really good.

The salt and pepper chips here are unmatched, same with the chow mein! I’ve been here a fair few times now and definitely my favourite Chinese. 1000000% recommend!

Very nice food, very polite staff.

So went tonight to collect a portion of egg fried rice. Was gutted when I saw they just microwave it. Makes me wonder how long previous the egg fried rice had been prepped ready to just be reheated.

We Eat here a lot and it just seems to get better every time. Tonight 5/02/22 we ordered duck satay, roast pork satay and Singapore noodle. Taste 10/10 Service 10/10 So many amazing flavours. Thank you Macau and see you again soon.

1st time I have used this place and having worked in the restaurant trade for 20 years this was by far one of the best chines takeaways I have had in a long time. I would highly recommend this establishment. Food was hot tasty and spot in flavour. See u again soon.

Food is great and good friendly service. The quality of the meat used is fantastic. I can especially recommend the special fried rice, which isn't the normal dry offering given by most takeaways but a complete meal. Even comes topped with a mini omelette and sauce. Would recommend.

We got a spicy munchie box, which came with rice, chips all piled in the same box! Wasn't very nice at all, very tasteless, the chicken too yung was cold, won't be going back, £18 wasted!

Food is very fresh, best garlic and chilli squid I’ve had and great fried rice too. Can’t fault!

Hate to leave bad reviews really, but thought this was worth the share, had a really awful meal with my boyfriend from here and haven’t been back in about 8 months, but I fancied Chinese, everywhere else was closed so I went tonight for some chips and chicken balls and it was all pretty gross really. Undercooked grey chips, dry chicken balls in about three inches of doughy batter. I thought it may have been better after recently getting remarked from a 0 score on the door and having a holiday period. But I won’t be going back ever again.

Definately one of the best Chinese takeaways in Hull. Their vegetarian food is clearly marked and delicious. I reccomend essentially building your own meal by ordering the chilli tofu starter and a pot of sauce of your choosing. This makes for a great veggie meal when paired with fired rice or noodles.

Had take out for the first time on monday evening, it was very tasty, portions were generous , we will certainly try it again soon

First time using macau takeaway snd i have to say it was one of the best chinese food we have had in quite some time. Everything was nice and hot.The duck with pancakes was amazing one of the very best duck i have had in years.The duck was beautifully cooked and the hoisin delicious. The cantonese beef chow mein amazing. The special curry delicious a nd the sweet and sour pork hong kong style fabulous. Overall very impressed. The delivery time was fine. The driver very polite I Will certainly be using you again and woll recommend very highly.

Decor is okay, and the people are quite friendly but don’t go above and beyond to help you or provide excellent service. Last time I ordered from there the service was really quick which was great, but the quality of food wasn’t very good, particularly the vegetable spring rolls which tasted really quite awful. I won’t be going back any time soon.

NOT IMPRESSED tried this Chinese takeaway for the 3rd and will add last time delivery charges £3 for less then 3 miles away from my house charges warranted ??? In my opinion no when food finally arrives over an hour after ordering it the food is barely warm enough to eat. It is not a case of trying it once and this being the case it is all 3 times.

Went out looking for a chicken in sweet chilli sauce with fried rice, but unfortunately menu only had chicken with spicy chilli sauce listed. Chef attempted to accommodate but wasn't until home and opened that the substitution was noted to be a breadcrumbed chicken burger, cut into slices and covered in Blue Dragon. Disappointed that real chicken pieces could not have been used, as in my partner's chow mein. Therefore despite ingenuity, a disappointing 2 stars.
