Firstly the bus cafe wasn't open here, and you need to wear a mask to purchase from the shop. They do some lovely produce and the baps are amazing value, it is a proper rustic food lovers paradise. A good selection of meats, pies, fish, vegetables and beers and ciders are available. Nice place to visit, pick up supplies if your passing by, also about the only thing close to the nearby Holiday Inn. Good spot..

We stopped by as we were on our way to Weston super mare we arrived and we’re very unwelcomed by rude staff who would not accept the fact we are exempt from wearing face coverings, they hit us with the it’s a “company policy” which at this stage it is down to the persons choice whether they wear one or not and they can have zero say in whether we do or don’t. They kept asking us whether we would wear one or not even though we had already said that we are EXEMPT they were refusing to serve us so we ended up showing them exempt cards in which they said “well I can’t just assume that you are exempt” which was after we had told them we were exempt when we first walked in. Very poor customer service would not recommend and will not be visiting again!

Having eaten here before when parents have visited, they both wanted to go again. The chef has changed as has the menu since last visit. However the quality hasn’t changed and both days we were spoiled with good breakfasts served by the chef / waitress. She seems to do everything but nothing was too much trouble. Quality bacon and sausage cooked well by someone who cares about how a breakfast looks and tastes. Great coffee as well. Definitely recommend this gem. The breakfast is far better value than many I have had closer to Bristol and better ingredients.

What a find on way to Bristol airport. After discovering nothing else was open at the time we were travelling when we discovered this hidden gem. We ordered two breakfasts which can only be described as the most delicious breakfasts we have ever had. All the food is freshly cooked in front of you, the ingredients are from the local farm shop next to this food outlet. The owner and chef is a lovely friendly man where nothing is too much trouble for him. The bus idea in which he has set up this business is such a unique idea, although small it was nice to have our breakfasts in such a comfortable bus. We would happily have paid double what we paid and cannot recommend this place enough. This business deserves to thrive and prosper in every way.

I had to travel between Winford and Burnham on Sea in the West Country and happened upon this quirky cafe. Housed in an old single decker bus it provided a welcome quick bite. There is not a huge amount of room but providing you find a seat the food is good. I didn't have time for the full breckie but it looked great as it was put out for another customer. Both myself and companion had a bacon buttie and tea. The bread was quite thick and the bacon was superb, the tea strong but this could be adjusted by taking the bag out of the mug earlier if required. A great pit stop to top up on basic but good fare. Look at their website page, Lye Cross Farm Bus Cafe for more details of what is available, I only found this today when seeking the postcode for this article.

I have been here many times over the last 6 months, with various friends both from the UK and abroad. I would like to recommend more than one dish but I always have the breakfast (either small or large). You do not have to worry how far your meat has travelled as it is superb local produce. Even the coffee is bought from the next town down. And if you like a caffein hit you will not be disappointed. The sausages & bacon are so good they are now a regular purchase for me from the farm shop. Real good value for money with the small breakfast which includes a hot drink at under £5.What makes the experience even more special it is all served on an old British single decker bus. Lovely and comfy bus seats and quaint little table lamps. The service as well as the food is always superb. You always get a pleasant greeting and great table service. I have often passed the Bus Cafe and been curious. Today my hungry husband decided to stop off for a bacon roll and I was tempted by a sausage one. The Bus is an old bus (no surprise there) with three tables for four and a long bench table. It isn't designed with glamour in mind and it is basic. BUT the rolls were soft and fresh, the bacon devoid of that nasty white fat inferior cafes like to impose on unsuspecting customers and the sausages were delicious and grease-free. A healthy couple of sausages! Customer service great, and customers actually greet each other. I totally recommend this clean, welcoming, value for money cafe and I want to go again.

I'm a great lover of all things quirky and vintage, so to spot an old single-decker bus kitted out as a cafe on the way to/from Bristol Airport was quite intriguing. On Saturday at about 1.45pm my husband, son and I finally had the opportunity to call in. There were three other customers and us. We were told only sandwiches and toasties were available, which was fair enough (the menu also has breakfasts, cakes etc but we weren't bothered about that). We ordered a cheese and chutney sandwich and a brie and chutney toastie. Took about 30 minutes to be served and when the food came both items were served as toasties; not a real problem but suggests the cook/waiter wasn't really listening when we placed the order and since that was the sum total of our order, the fact that 50% of it was wrong is a bit poor really. The toasties were served with a nice fresh salad consisting of sliced peppers, cucumber and tomato plus a very generous serving of crisps. The fillings were tasty but the bread used appeared to be just bog-standard sliced brown; considering the cafe is next to a farm shop I sort of expected a fancier bread. All in all I would say the food was fine if you're not expecting anything out of the ordinary. However, the cleanliness of the entire place leaves something to be desired. Before we sat down I wiped our table over as it had a few large spots of grease on it which I didn;t want to get on our clothes (please note, I'm not one of *those* people who go around sanitising everything, but grease + clothes isn't a great mix); when I looked at the wipe I'd used, it was grey with grime. The lamp on the table was covered in old cooking grease and dust; there were used cups on the long side table, a carrier bag with what looked like rubbish in it, a scrumpled up piece of blue kitchen towel, and none of this was moved or cleaned the entire time we were there, even though it wasn't busy and the cook/waiter walked past it several times.Suffice to say we won't bother going back, not will we go to the attached Farm Shop if this is the standard that we might expect in there as well.

My family & I visited this unusual venue ( formally called 'The Food Hut' ) for breakfast last weekend & found it to be a great experience !! This café with a difference is a single deck bus, which has been converted & fitted out with tables & chairs with a kitchen at one end & this enterprise is run by Daniel, who is ably assisted by Georgie. They can provide breakfasts, light bites, lunches, salads, ploughmans, home made daily specials & soups. The bus is open seven days a week. Some of us plumbed for the full English breakfast & others had the cheese ploughmans & all agreed that they were very tasty in deed & the view of rolling countryside out of the bus windows was an added bonus !! There are also picnic tables outside if you wish to eat alfresco. Situated next to Lyecross Farm Shop is a parked single-decker bus and if you fancy a snack or something more substantial, this is is the place to visit. The interior of the bus is fitted out with tables and chairs on one side and a shelf with stools on the other - the counter is at the end and after studying the menu, this is where you go to place your order. The menu has all sorts of snacks available (from bacon butties to toasted tea cakes) and more substantial fare (very good filled baked potatoes and so on) not to mention hot and cold drinks. We had the bacon butties which were delicious and a mug of tea to wash them down. On a another visit, tea cakes with butter and jam finished off a nice ride in the countryside. The young man behind the counter was very friendly and service was quick. It's open Mondays to Saturdays throughout the year and as it is on the main road, a short distance south of Bristol Airport, it's a handy place to stop for refreshment before your plane takes off!

Do a monthly shop at Alvis's Farm Shop (great for cheese, meat and veg). Dorothy, the Food Bus, is handily tucked round the corner of the car park - just right for a quick snack before heading home. The menu is pretty basic, though good value for money (there's a specials board for those wanting something more filling). Can thoroughly recommend the cream teas. Certainly not the largest around - one scone but with plenty of home-made jam and clotted cream and tea or coffee (with a refill thrown in if wanted). Tastes great and excellent value at £3.95, or even better at £5.95 for two! Shopping at Alvis's is a pleasant experience, the cream tea makes it memorable. Can't wait for next month's visit!! The question is, why Dorothy? She seems to be living a double existence. According to the painted out name by the entrance door, she's actually Valerie!! There's obviously more to this than meets the eye. Can anyone throw any light on her secret life?!

Popped in here today for a light lunch & was sorely disappointed! We ordered our meals & cups of tea & when they came out was very disappointed. The paninis came with 3 slices of cucumber as salad & a random packet of Lidl crisps each. My breakfast did not come out as ordered (fried bread ordered & had toast delivered & no eggs requested but egg sat on toast!).Was really looking forward to eating here but don't think I'll be heading back any time soon.

Now courting couples on the back seats of this single deck bus but a fully equipped kitchen offering basic food at great prices. The huge plus here is the wonderful atmosphere and the mix of people. Whether you just want a quick cup of tea or a breakfast after your flight this is well worth a visit. No Michelin stars, not sure about the tyres.

Had a fantastic full english breakfast on this beautiful old bus. Staff bend over backwards for you. Received a lovely warm welcome on arrival. Highly recommend the homemade food. Will be going back very soon. Well done!!

Yet another AMAZING brunch/breakfast! This really is the perfect place to go!! Can't imagine where some of the low score feedbacks come from?? Or why? I've been in the hospitality business over 30 years, and what is offered here, is as good as it gets! Great service, great value, and super quality... can not fault it!!! Thank you for the service You provide. And your plants are also super quality, and great value. See you next month... :))

Had an excellent breakfast here this morning. I was very impressed by the friendliness of the staff. Spotlessly clean and has great decor inside. I am also looking forward to trying the special nights planned. Fish and chips, wine and cheese and a traditional Christmas dinner nearer Christmas. My only moan and groan. I have lost count of the times I have passed these premises and never ventured in. But now I realise, I have been missing out on a little gem. And I'm happy to say, I will be visiting with monotonous regularity from now on.

I was looking for something tasty to eat on Clevedon beach while waiting for my car to be serviced. This cafe makes the most delicious baguettes - it was difficult to choose which combination to pick - eventually, I opted for one with mozzarella, spinach, pastrami, and pesto - highly recommended - I will try a different one next time I visit :)
