Didn’t know what to expect but this was a wonderful experience. The staff were lovely and the food even better. Thank you so much we can’t wait to come again.

The food, service and atmosphere was fantastic. The clams were better than I have had anywhere. I cant recommend this place enough. The staff members are all welcoming, professional, courteous and friendly.

excellent food, as characterizes good Portuguese food, but the service by the manager is terrible, attracts the attention of the employees in front of the customers and shows an uneasy and rude character. doesn't treat employees with respect which shows lack of manners .good food good hygiene but bad manager. Very agressive maners and very loud .

Great food at a very friendly Portuguese restaurant. The owners and staff made us feel at home and added in free extras such as a welcome drink of Sangria and a plate of nibbles which included octopus. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the seafood pot made us all feel that we were at the harbour side in Lisbon. I strongly recommend anyone to try out Lupulo - we will certainly be back in 2022 to try some more fabulous dishes. You will not be disappointed by Lupulo!

Have never been here before and wanted to go somewhere different. Didn’t know anyone else that had been so went on the strength of reviews from here. I have to say that we all had a great evening. The atmosphere was good, the service was excellent and as for the food…. It was amazing. Thank you Lupulo for hosting a great evening and we will see you again soon.

Sadly The George doesn't live up to it's reputation these days. We recently ate in the Oak Pannelled Dining room, we had to pour our own wine as the waiting staff seemed oblivious to empty glasses. The roast beef was delicious and the accompanying vegetables tasty. Sadly the cherry chocolate roulade tasted as if it had been bought in (mass produced) & lacked the sour cherry tang and the chocolate was disappointingly insipid. The cheese souffle we had to start was ok, rather overpowered by the mustard sauce. We had to request the biscuits to accompany our coffee. The Christmas decorations were not as opulent as previous years. The waiting team were all pleasant but seemed inexperienced and unable to deliver a high quality service. The bill was not insignificant and did not match the experience. Shame really, because the building is impressive and there is a huge opportunity to enhance the ambience and without doubt the service needs to be elevated. This being said we will most probably revisit in the summer as the outside courtyard is lovely.

The King's Head is good at any time of year. The Christmas singalong is just plain stellar. There are always really unusual guest ales, and even beers brewed especially for the pub. Friendly staff complete the offering. Stamford is full of pubs. The King's Head is some thing special, small but perfectly formed.
