Was very dark No one in there when I arrived Smelt like a Greasy spoon cafe Floor very dirty Condiments needed wiping Staff talking so loud Won’t come again It used to be so nice when I lived in Heaton 6 years ago always had people in from the community

First time ordering from lunch monkey cafe today and my order came with in 25 mins the food was piping hot no grease plenty of It all cooked to perfection, very hearty and homely, the delivery driver was really friendly too, will definitely be ordering from here again and definitely going to recommend to friends and family 5* from me

proper good, that! like popping 'round your auntie's for lunch. hearty, no-nonsense grub. hot and fresh, too. really enjoyed it. i had the lunch monkey club with a size if chips, plus a fanta lemon and a mars duo, and it was £7.80. can't argue with that!

This is the best English breakfast in Bradford, good portion of food. Staff friendly they have eat in or take out. I definitely recommend this place.

The food was really nice I haven't had food from a cafe like this before, there was no grease like other places. normally I would never go back to the same takeaway but this one I will and have and I will be going back again soon. I love the fact they have a card reader and explain how to save money when ordering, the delivery man is really nice I sooo recommend.😊

Really good home cooked food. Very generous portions, varied menu, student specials, friendly & clean. Free wi fi. A proper 'caf'. Only moan is giant mug of weak coffee but that's a personal thing!

This is one of the last proper cafes left in Bradford. Proper cooked dinner specials daily. Definitely worth a visit

Sometimes one bad experience can change everything. Was really looking forward to a jacket - nipped to lunch monkey cafe and was terribly disappointed when i got back to work to see id spent money on a potato with this burnt jacket. So sad 😔

Decent scran and a cracking brew (cups are massive!) Friendly service, nice and quiet.....What more could you want fer your dinner?

Lunch Monkey This cafe is a real gem, serving excellent home cooked food. I have lived in Heaton for many years and seen this business go through many phases from a great Deli to a range of usually not very good and short lived cafes. This is not only the best of its kind that Heaton has had but possibly Bradford! On a par with the legendary Italia. As well as the amazing breakfasts and hot sarnies, including black pudding- fresh pan fried mushrooms, they have an ongoing range of specials - spaghetti carbonara was the best my daughter had ever eaten, the Jerk chicken with rice exceptional and most recently panfried lamb steak with minted roasted vegetables and scalloped potatoes. There are specials for kids, including toasted sarnies, baked potatoes, great salads and excellent chips.. They also have a selection of home made cakes and goodies with great fresh coffee and pots and mugs of tea. Go as soon as possible - but beware - make sure go when you are hungry - the portions are immense
