Lumen Cafe in Camden

This place advertises that it’s open for breakfast and at 930 it was not. Poor information on Tripadvisor which is misleading.

Delicioso, simple, recién comida casera en un oasis de calma cerca de Euston. luminoso Servicio amable y un ambiente único en un espacio con su increíble iglesia transformada de haft icónico de luz característica y una galería de arte. Gran lugar para una comida relajante e informal.

Este es un espacio atrayente lleno de carácter. El menú para todos los gustos sean carnivore o vegetariano. Tuve con nata champiñones en tostadas granero, que era abundante y delicioso y mi pareja tenía el desayuno vegetariano que era imaginativo y abundante. El personal era amable sin ser intrusivo. Mirando la preciosa vidriera y 'cono de espiritualidad 'añadida a la experiencia. Es un espacio lgbt amable. Nos encanta.

Una visita para desayunar antes de ir a trabajar esta mañana. Agradable, ventilado, luz café en una calle tranquila. Buenas opciones de menú, para todos. El desayuno inglés es recomendado, y bien de precio. Un buen café. El personal era amable y servicial. Se abre a las 8, y estábamos allí en ese momento, un viernes, pero desgraciadamente no hay otros visitantes en absoluto entre entonces y cuando salimos alrededor de las 9.

Comida de café, es decir, no esperes Boeuf Bourguignon, pero la comida deliciosa, preparada con cuidado. el personal es muy agradable y acogedor. Lo uso principalmente para reuniones y la mayoría de los asistentes terminan invariablemente y felizmente en el café para el almuerzo. Las salas de reuniones también son muy buenas, con equipos actualizados. Lo recomiendo altamente.

a great little place to eat 5 mins from Russel Square & Kings Cross Station with a great selection of healthy whole food [I'm a veggie & there's always plenty of choices] Beautiful windows create a sense of space & peace and the toilets are clean & spacious.

I only discovered this place recently despite walking this way frequently. It's not obvious from the street but great little cafe for a light bite. Quick service. Good value. Wifi. Decor quite basic. Lots on menu. Tasty food and basic presentation. I think it's part of another building, maybe a church.

We used Lumen URC for a corporate event and couldn't have been more impressed. The staff were all friendly and incredibly helpful. The venue itself is fantastic and the catering was perfect. Their flexibility to meet our requirements was really appreciated and we can't wait for our next event with them in a few months.

Black Olive Cooks at Lumen Cafe: A place to eat and type, drink coffee, and eat cake and salad and hot food, chat a bit, and charge my phone, and think a while - of life and love and last night's telly, a place to stare into the future, reinvent the past, and doodle tiny swirls and spiky stars and upward/downward spirals whilst all the while thinking about the report I came to finish, beneath modernist, bronze sculputures in the settling, calming peace of the Lumen, as I worry about little things, big things, distracted by delicious smells and the whooosh of the Instanta, the growl of the coffee mill, and art, and I reflect a little, and let the monkeys sleep for a brief, precious moment, and feel contentment, or regret, maybe - or perhaps not, and watch other people do pretty much the same. I will surely return very soon.

I always look forward to holding a meeting at the Lumen cafe. It is a great meeting space, and they are a brilliant team to work - always so helpful and accommodating. The catering is fantastic! Excellent quality, delicious, freshly made and good value = very happy delegates. I would be very happy to recommend the Lumen Cafe to anyone looking for a brilliant meeting space in Central London.

Sitzen hier im Lumen Café, dank TripAdvisor, haben ein sehr köstliches, liebevoll frisch zubereitetes Frühstück bekommen. Es ist eine Kirche, im vorderen Teil das Café, mittig ein runder Gebetsraum und im hinteren Teil die "Kirche". Sehr nette, meist ältere Angestellte, die sehr auskunftsfreudig sind. Alles auch to-go.

Excellent if you want a very reasonably priced delicious lunch or snack in central London in a calm and friendly casual cafe atmosphere. Also in an inspirational architectural award-winning space. This is absolutely the ideal place to come for lunch or a snack if you have been to the British Museum or elsewhere in Bloomsbury e.g. The Thomas Coram Foundling Museum or shopping in quirky Lamb's Conduit Street or if you work nearby. Open mostly on weekdays during the day. Excellent for vegetarians e.g. Stuffed aubergine and interesting soups. Staffed by friendly volunteers. The space is multi faith, the building design has a real WOW factor and the history of the building is fascinating too. Also host interesting exhibitions- the current exhibition showing till end Dec 2016 "a different point of view" focuses on pictures of London's landmark buildings and architecture in nature.

An oasis in the heart of Bloomsbury serving a good value and tasty cooked breakfast. Good veggie choices too. Equi distant from kings cross/st Pancras and Russell Square stations, worth the walk for the food, friendly staff and interesting RIBA award winning building.

Just off the main drag you'll find the Lumen Cafe offering great home cooked food in a relaxing and calm building with a wonderful patio garden. There's even an art gallery with regularly changing and provoking exhibitions (free). The menu is fresh and healthy, starting with great breakfasts with good quality coffee, lunches with seasonal food, all cooked to order. Staff are friendly and helpful, and always able to help with with recommendations. Well worth a visit !

Este lugar es un pequeño capricho. Tuve el mejor Macarrones Queso con ensalada que he probado, seguido por un muy generoso desorden Eton. Cocinar en su mejor momento.

Esta es una hermosa cafetería en Lumen DDN con complaciente y servicial personal, ofrece comida fresca y deliciosa. El gluten opciones gratis son buenas y el buen ambiente para un almuerzo de trabajo o comer en su propia mientras correos, etc. Su limpio y acogedor, así como central.

It opens at 8.00 a.m. weekdays which was a little late for me. It is inside a church and the staff have that Churchy feel - very friendly and welcoming though a little proper! The inside is beautiful - very high ceilings, clean and loads of light. Chairs are plastic and uncomfortable. I was the only person in there at that time. The cooked English breakfast was outstanding - quality sausages and bacon, and fried egg cooked to my liking. Good quality coffee. I enjoyed the visit and I will return next time I am in the area.

This cafe is part of the Lumen Centre. It is a lovely place for lunch, a beautiful space full of light. In summer there is a quiet garden for al fresco dining. The food is of a high quality and very reasonably priced. I had a fresh and tasty risotto but they do do a range of dishes and snacks. Wi-fi available and friendly staff. A real find.

Such tasty homemade dishes and soups changing daily; unique location with outdoor patio. Always a veggie option. Charming staff - what more can I say. A real find; not to be missed.

Lovely venue, fabulous staff! So popular when we were there they sold out of lunch before 2. Because they are newly reopened this was a surprise to staff but they did the best they could to put some plates together for us. Really lovely looking food. Had the soup which was beautiful!

The lumen has now re opened under new management it is offering home made cake and good fresh coffee

The cafe is now closed, which I think is a terrible shame. The food was always really great, and was a great place to visit either for a coffee or for lunch in a light and airy space. The place had a real community feel, with some of the people who had worked there came from disadvantaged or difficult backgrounds. Always great service, always great food.This has left a massive hole in the community and I really hope the decision to close the cafe is reversed.

Very friendly atmosphere,great service. Food is five star and of a wide choice for all taste. Great range of desserts.Tried their breakfast as well and it's definitely worth the money. I can only recommend.

Attended a meeting here today with lunch first. Very impressed!As you walk in you can not fail to be impressed by the windows and the glass treatments.The food we were served was excellent and the staff were amazing.The meeting room had an excellent view into a courtyard garden shedding lots of light into the room.We were served tea/coffee and homemade biscuits - fantastic touch.All the people attending the meeting said they would use the venue again. All the food here is organic and delicious. Urban oasis under a really high ceiling with one massive window. Courtyard, too. Really lovely. Very friendly staff. Good for breakfast, a cup of coffee and a piece of cake, or lunch, or a large function. Highly recommended!

Great place in the heart of Bloomsbury to grab a quick bite in stunning surroundings. The soup and bread is reasonably priced but bigger meals on offer. Very friendly and welcoming with a courtyard for those summer days. Has art exhibitions and a good buzz about it.

This is a wonderful place to come for lunch or to have a meeting in a very spevial location. It is a church building turnrd into a community centre and cafe and sometimesthere is live music. The service is very friendly and the food vegetarian and mediterranean is excellent
