Very accomidating for my family of 4 sat downstairs but service was well timed food was amazing and asked if kids food should come 1st well done sir. Gluten free option was perfect too and asked chef or powers that be anything he didn't know. Well worth a visit, didn't catch waiter's name.

Very good restaurant, we ate very well. The staff is friendly.

The food lacked flavour and seasoning. I was really disappointed by the swordfish I had, I usually love Italian cuisine but this meal missed the mark especially considering the price.

No problem getting a table on a Wednesday night. Really quick service and staff very attentive. Food good but quite pricey although portion sizes are generous.

The location is great! Very close to Embabkment and Charing Cross stations. I have been here twice and I have enjoyed the food.

This restaurant is really good. Quality of food and presentation were both terrific. Our waitress was so lovely - super efficient but with great warmth and humour. Thank you for a lovely evening. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Nice service, nice place. The food is decent, but the food is not entirely "Italian" -> pizza with very salty cheese.

Good little Italian restaurant. The dishes are good, plentiful and reasonably priced.

The food was quite delicious. Even though I made a wrong order, they immediately corrected the situation and brought me the food I wanted. The service was really successful.

I was very disappointed, disappointed that I hadn't found this gem sooner. After a hard day working around London, dodging tourists, you sometimes need a decent place to relax and eat, and L'ulivo is the ideal place.

Nice italian food, finally a restaurant with a soup!

The food was delicious and the drinks were great! The service was prompt and thoughtful (I went to the bathroom, my party ordered for me, and the waiter passed me on my way back and confirmed he had what I wanted correct). After several days in London having not had a satisfactory meal, this was a welcome relief! Our group of 8 was thrilled with the food and left full and happy!

We were tied and hungry and this was close to the Embankment Tube Station. Food was above average, service was disjointed but meet our criteria for a decent situation down meal

This was a last minute find, and I’ll be honest, we expected it to be your standard overpriced London restaurant. It was a very pleasant surprise to get such large portions and fast service. The staff were absolutely wonderful with the kids too. Will definitely be going back next time we’re in town. Highly recommended.

The service was ok. Some of our food was tasty but after careful instruction about a food allergy, my son had an allergic reaction after eating here.

Nice place, not at all friendly waitresses and good food but with some poor quality dishes, like the salmon salad with a pesto sauce that tastes like cologne or deodorant. Discussed with the waitress and they have not taken any action on the matter. Disgusting!!!

What a gem I’ve found and such a great location. The food is amazing and not the usual depressing moment when a small bowl of pasta comes out but tasty and a good size. Pizzas looked amazing too. The staff were lovely and attentive so all in all a WINNER!! Well done all.

I have had two good meals here but last Sunday's lunch was a big disappointment. It started with the waitress who couldn't break a smile or be even a little hospitable. My starter was insalata tricolori- huge slabs of very cold and rubbery mozzarella on equally cold and tasteless slabs of tomato. The avocado looked like an afterthought. My main course was fegata. It looked like a brown dog's dinner dolloped uncaringly on the plate with a ladle of nasty-looking mash and no greenery. The only saving grace was a passable bottle of rosé- not cheap at £30. It's a shame, as this restaurant is very convenient for the W End but won't be going again.

Food awful, tasteless and thrown together . Ongoing was the portion size

Food was below average, calamari was frozen and bruschetta was carelessly made. The presentation was not the best. Portion sizes were good, only good thing really. Pizza was bland , undercooked , they had no aioli for the pizza crust. Gave me cheap packet sauces, not even Hellman’s. Service wasn’t too bad. Music was a bit loud. I would stay away. Especially if you’re looking for real Italian food.

Good food, good service, fair prices

Generally solid Italian eatery, Risottos good, I went seafood based. My wife went more basic…Lasagne. I never understand because I make lasagne a lot, why it’s better when I make it and so much thicker, more meat😂 However, overall it was solid and decent with a good atmosphere on the way to Piccadilly.

Food very disappointing for the price! Although decent portion sizes the food quality was lacking. If you decide to give it a go, AVOID the calamari and also the meatball starter. Even the bread it was served with was on the stale side, just as well because the meatball sauce was not appealing at all! :-( Both Seafood Pasta and Risotto dishes were very oily, actually felt sick afterwards. Service was good and attentive. Situated in a nice location with good decor and very clean restrooms. Hopefully they can improve on their food quality.

We stayed in London for 2 days and always had dinner here for two evenings. I think one of the few places where you can eat a good, excellent quality grilled steak. The place is very nice and welcoming and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Background only Italian music. Well done.

The Exquisite Food, especially the Lasagna. EXTRAORDINARY Attention, Better Impossible! They serve you in large numbers, all friendly, all helpful. The food arrives quickly and hot at the table, and is accompanied by a smile from the person who brings it to you. On the ground floor, there are incredible bathrooms. The entire place is decorated with very good taste and there are excellent details everywhere. The prices are appropriate, logically they are not cheap, but they are not excessive either, but considering the quality of the dishes, believe me, they are worth every penny. We visited it twice on our trip to London, and I recommend that you do so without hesitation too. FIVE STARS FOR YOU! Thank you very much for serving us so well!

We had an awesome experience with Ivan! He was super patient and kind to us. We recommend a lot this restaurant because of the food and the great service! We'll definitely come back.

Vibrant Italian restaurant on a sunny day with outside seating. Good quality food, lots of vegetarian options and the staff were friendly and efficient.

So really, really not great. The place is pretty but that’s the only asset. Pizza not good at all, no taste, greasy, few ingredients. To avoid, there are surely better elsewhere and not so far... but good neighborhood without the homemade cuisine.

3adults and a child ordered a main each but waiter did not even recommend the portion to us. Was shock at the huge portion of the food. Ordered their steak but menu did not indicate the weight. Requested for steak to be medium but was given medium rare. Had to confirm with the waiter but he seems clueless about the doneness. As it was too bloody, i requested for kitchen to redo to medium but gotten a well done instead. Truely disappointed at the quality of food. Signature pasta was a little too bland as well. Food and service definitely not worth the value

Lovely late evening meal after a day in London Food and service was good abd good value for the West End of London

We came here for a quick bite and left with many memories. Sweet Georgian lady serving us, free shots and a birthday surprise. It is a bit turist trap, but with a big company it is still a nice place to visit!

I relied on the positive reviews of L'ulivo and was not disappointed. Airy, good atmosphere and food. Service was equally good. All in all great value for a tasty meal for two.

Too noisy ; the waitresses are not pleasant. Too bad quality price. I do not recommend

Mediocre food, slow service, surly staff. Drinks took ages to arrive. Had to remind staff to bring half the order. Waiter knocked over the salt pot, then half heartedly ran a cloth over the table leaving most of the mess there. Wouldn't care if it was £10 per head but this was £70 for two mains, two sides, two drinks. There are many, many better places to eat round here in that price bracket.

The Service is very bad. They brought me abasket of half eaten bread. I personally think that the pizza was ridiculosly large and the cheese felt like chewing gum. The five guys just nextdoor was probably better.

We went here for lunch after an exhibition. After a shaky start we met the lovely Rosa who looked after us perfectly. She was warm and attentive and we enjoyed talking to her. We shared a few things and the food was delicious. She is a credit to this restaurant

Came here as we needed a pre theatre lunch. Told our server. Service was excellent and the food came promptly and was to tasty - pizza and pasta ordered. In and out within 50 minutes. Best place for the West End and Strand.

Food was prepared in a careless manner. Caesar salad with huge chopped meat pieces, bruschetta on pizza base. Did not enjoy.

Fantastic food at reasonable prices. Wine a little expensive, but on the whole, an excellent meal

Although the food was good and plentiful, we took the the rest of our meal back to our hotel. We also ordered a salad rock something or other, we asked the female server what kind of salad was it, she said it was green. I asked what was in it, she said she didn't know. She NEVER said to us, wait I'll ask. You know, common sense???

Stumbled upon this place and had a very nice meal here ! Donna & Pavati were very friendly and nice. They both took very good care of me and I appreciate how personable they were as I was a solo diner. Would definitely come back here !

Could be very good with a bit more thought. Server offhand, bordering on rudeness. Tepid white wine, with the only response being ice cubes. Asked for side salad and told not possible, and would have to order full salad main to accompany meal. Such a shame because the food was excellent.

Awful. Food was such poor quality. Plus my child found a small metal piece in her pasta. When I showed this to staff member he just took the piece away without saying a word. Left the actual meal, like just continue eating it. (Then presented a full bill. I had to ask for the item to be removed from the bill as, of course, I wouldn't let her eat the pasta she just found a small metal piece in! Shame didn't think to take a picture of it to post it here...) The rest of the food was tasteless, staff completely uncaring and inattentive. Its an overpriced place for tourists so staff don't give a damn as there will be more tourists the next day. Recommend to avoid it and take your money elsewhere.

Worst take on food there can be. Hardly can be considered worthy of any cuisine, but not Italian at all. Pure fatty oil on top of dirty plates.

Really looked forward to going to this place on recommendations from my parents. Left very disappointed. Service was very slow - had to chase drinks service, forgot our tap water we ordered, had to clarify what we wanted with our server, food was very tomatoey which overwhelmed everything - the server also got mine and my dad's food mixed up as they looked so similar due to all the tomato sauce poured on top. Service charge added automatically- 12.5%! Ridiculous. Would I return - no.

We ate here as a party of 5 Monday night and had booked. We did struggle as a 5 to book anywhere in this area. We were seated on the ground floor, the atmosphere is nice with fairy lights and olive tree decor. Between us we had starters, mains and desserts. We all enjoyed our mains in particular, for me the tortelloni was the real highlight, really fresh and with great flavours. I found the garlic bread a little overdone and lacking in flavour, the same for the panna cotta. At ~£20 on average for the mains I did find this quite expensive but do not live in London, so maybe this is the normal now. We not served particularly well and were often without drinks, and the main order for two of our party was incorrect and so was redone. When paying for the bill the server, the card machine was held over one of the cards (even though there were three cards placed down to pay) whilst we were in conversation with no discussion or consent to do so, which was surprising. The card declined so we were able to ask again for the bill to be split, which we had to articulate a few times and was eventually resolved. Overall our experience was pleasant but was rather let down by the service.

My friend and I ordered the same dish. Hers was twice the size with all the spinach and salmon in. I just got the tagliatelle and sauce. The service was rushed and a bit pushy. I wouldn’t hurry there again.

The food was good, service was efficient but not professional. For the desert, the Tarte au citron was too small for my liking but excellent taste. I would recommend going!

Stopped by here randomly on our way to SoHo. Service was so-so. Food was 4/5. Had the salmon and roasted potatoes with a drink, seemed overpriced. Would not come back or recommend

Had to ask 3 times where our drinks were abd even then they didn't bring the sparkling water. The service was poor they just couldn't be bothered

Great location for theatres. Staff friendly but a few things were amiss. As we were sitting closest to the kitchen and the bins we noticed that One of the waitresses clearly had a cold, blowing her nose with a tissue but walked around the whole time delivering plates with the same tissue touching the food. I think they were also short staffed so one of the chefs would come out empty some bins in the corridor and start cooking again without washing hands. We’re both tea totallers but My partner is in bed with food poisoning so can’t really say anymore. The final bill comes with a 25% compulsory service charge. When I asked for the bill without this, I was told that only the big boss can remove it and that they were not around. The table next to ours also tried to remove it. I usually pay a significant tip but Don’t like the idea of being forced to give a tip.

Duurt bijna uur voordat ze de tafel afruimen. Zalm besteld en je krijgt er niks verder bij voor 22 euro. Zalm zwom bijna zelf terug naar de zee door de vele olie op het bord. Verder rekenen ze 25% servicekosten toen we de rekening kregen... Pure afzetterij. We zaten boven, erg warm door laag plafond. Pizza's weinig smaak. Pizza met ham die ver te zoeken was. Ik zou even verder kijken voor dit geld....teleurstellende zaak

La nourriture trop salé, les plats avant les boissons et les boissons sont arrivés sans alcool alors que c’était des cocktails… La serveuse fait tombé les couteaux par terre et nous les donne ensuite et en plus de ça elle se nettoye les yeux et essuie sur les barrières qu’on va utilisé pour montrer les escaliers 🙄

Busy and noisy. The food is ok, but not exceptional. Service is a bit hit and miss. However, a first for me: 25% SERVICE CHARGE. Best avoided.

We have been here several times but not for a while, however today was awful, so never again. We were squeezed into a table where there was no room to move and everyone was so close one lady's hair was touching our table. Waited ages to order our drinks. When they arrived, my margarita came in a tiny martini glass which was only half full for £11.50, literally 3 small sips and it was gone! We waited a long time for someone to take our food order. We caught a waiter's attention and asked if we could order. He looked at us blankly. We asked him again, still no comprehension, then he sent an English speaking colleague over. Starter eventually came, the calamari was not fresh, bought in frozen. Waited about 30 minutes for the next course to eventually come and it wasn't worth the wait. We had to call the waiter over again to ask for the bill as he never approached our table. To be honest, this was a blessing as he had the worse BO I have even had the misfortune to come across. The smell was so bad it assaulted our senses and we were forced to hold our breath when he was near. The bill finally arrived along with another shock. BEWARE: The service charge is 25%! Nowhere on the menu or website is this mentioned. Having eaten in the Savoy, The Ivy, Windows and many more excellent restaurants, this is the most extortionate service charge we have had to pay for such bad food, bad service and a waiter with disgusting personal hygiene. My advice would be to steer well clear of this one.

Im Restaurant “L’ulivo Charing Cross” erlebten wir köstliches Essen und einen ansprechenden Wein. Das Ambiente war angenehm, jedoch wirkte das Personal leicht unorganisiert und gelegentlich unhöflich. Die automatische Hinzufügung von 25% Trinkgeld zur Rechnung empfanden wir als inakzeptabel, weshalb wir stattdessen 10% gaben, was angemessen erschien.

Good pizza, and very quick staff. A bit tight and crowded. The waiters gave us the dessert menu instead of the bill and left us on hold for a long time. Otherwise a good experience

Das war heute die reinste Touristen-Abzocke die ich bei vielen reisen erlebt habe. wir waren zu dritt heute dort essen, der kellner war nur ein mal am tisch um drei Hauptgerichte und drei Getränke zu bringen. abgerechnet wurden 77 pfund plus 25% bedienungspauschale. das ist nicht nur frech, sondern moralisch schon verwerflich! natürlich haben wir den Quatsch nicht bezahlt! der kellner sagte, die wurde man berechnen weil heute Weihnachten ist. ja und? finger weg, Touristenfalle! leistet service und ihr bekommt ein ordentliches trinkgeld, aber nicht auf diese art, denn das ist schlicht und ergreifend betrug! ∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆∆ Today was the purest tourist rip-off that I have experienced on many trips. The three of us ate there today, the waiter was only at the table once to bring three main dishes and three drinks. The charge was 77 pounds plus a 25% service charge. That is not only cheeky, but morally reprehensible! Of course we didn't pay for the nonsense! The waiter said they were charging for it because today is Christmas. Yes and? stay away, tourist trap! Provide service and you get a decent tip, but not in this way, because that is simply scam!

First time I've been not sure I would rush back ..other than the young lady who greeted us at the door service staff sullen and at times rude...no pleasantries at all to the point I stood up to put my coat on a waiter pushed past me behind I have s bad knee and it unbalanced me no apologies The food was ok other than chicken in the salad dry tastless And they need to cut the pizza through properly at least into 4 It's impossible with the knife you have and if your sharing you don't want to handle it Or give a pizza wheel with it. I definitely would not have left the £12 service but it was already added not good should be eared this was not I am ready to tip over the amount for good service willingly I've been in this business for years and didn't want to embarrace my guests so I reluctantly paid Get your act together front of house staff definitely letting this restaurant down shape up or ship out..I had to call the attention of 3 talking staff in a huddle that a lady on her home needed something.....really!

Restaurant pas du tout intéressant . On ne vous le recommande pas . Nourriture grasse (gnocchi) avec peu de saveur, mal cuisiné( trop cuit) Prix très cher pour la qualité de ce que l’on a à mangé Service impolis et à revoir complètement : Le serveur nous a retiré les verres et les assiettes alors que nous n’avions pas terminé la dernière bouchée . Ensuite il est venu avec son terminal nous demander de payer . 2 étoiles car propose des plats Vegan à la carte et le décors du restaurant était sympathique Passez votre chemin

Great Italian food, one of our London favourites. I recommend booking, can be quite busy. Service fast, handy if in a hurry or going to theatre.

We came in for pre xmas girls catch up. Food was ok but customer service nonexistent. Had to wait for ages to order despite the restaurant being almost empty only two other tables were taken. Then we had to wait for over 30 min to be given desert menu after which we didn't get to order it as no one came back to take our order. A German couple next to us left too as couldn't get served despite staring at all the chefs and waiters. They looked everywhere but at customers. We decided to leave without desert and only when we stated putting our coats on a waiter run up to us to give us the bill. Apologised for the wait but didn't offer explanation. We won't be back for this reason as clearly staff don't care to upsell or even just sell any food.

Very surly staff, I requested dressing 3 times for a dry salad nicoise which had ingredients which didn't seem fresh. Staff just ignored me. Unprofessional and rude. Would not recommend.

Really disappointing lunch here. Of the three starters, only one person enjoyed it. The pear and goats cheese special arrived charcoaled and the pear too hard to eat. The ravioli main had no flavour and the chicken and mushroom main tasted like Sunday gravy.
