Brilliant service, the staff were very attentive and provided brilliant complimentary food. The food was perfect! Would recommend for a great dining experience and really high quality food. We were a table of 11 and had no complaints.

To celebrate my Mum’s 80th she chose Luigi’s restaurant for the 9 of us to celebrate. The restaurant were very helpful cutting our pre taken cake and singing Happy Birthday making it feel very special for my Mum. The only criticism was, even though we booked 6 weeks in advance having said it was an 80th birthday celebration they put us on two round tables meaning I had my back to half the party including my Mum. The food was delicious, everyone enjoyed it and the service brilliant. The review would definitely have been 5 star had we had a better table.

First time visiting the Cleckheaton restaurant.Staff were friendly and welcoming.Ordered the Pollo a la crème for myself and my partner had the King prawn a la crème with a dish of vegetables and chips which we shared.The food was delicious,ate everything we were given,would definitely recommend a visit!

First time visit with our friends who live local and they go fairly regularly - it was very nice! Great food and great music playing created a good atmosphere. Service was swift and staff were very friendly - very good menu with lots of offers on the specials board - we will be back :)

Hotel OK except bar closed @ 9:30 p.m. Found a couple of nice local restaurants but there was no simple way to find out about them without insider knowledge

Been coming to Luigi’s regularly for years , it’s our favourite family restaurant and we celebrate all our birthdays and special events here . Luigi is a brilliant host and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The food is amazing, from the steak to the pizzas. I also highly recommend the house white wine - my favourite!

Perfect every time. Food ready fast and fresh, i ordered spaghetti carbonara and Luigis didnt dissapoint.

Saddened to write this review, our family have been visiting this restaurant for years but what we experienced Saturday night has changed our views and we will not be returning! There were 6 of us visiting for a belated 50th birthday celebration due to covid. First thing we noticed was there was no atmosphere at all! The topped off with the staff looking miserable and not wanting to be there at all! We felt like a burden being there and that they didn’t want us. Very abrupt and snappy. We wanted to order starters first and then mains afterwards so its such a big menu we couldn’t decide. The gentleman didn’t look impressed and kept bugging us to order mains. Starters came and they were ok nothing amazing, or flavourful. As we would expect. FILLET STEAK THATS NOT FILLET STEAK! Our mains, the birthday girl ordered fillet steak medium rare. THIS WAS NOT FILLET STEAK!!! They served is a different steak to fillet that was prices at £25. The steak was COLD and the chips were awful, cold and looked re fried! We we told the staff member they had a face like thunder and said “it is fillet” not “i do apologise” or “is there anything else i can get you” “can we take it off the bill” he just wanted to argue with us. My partner is a chef, immediately he said “thats not a fillet” as soon as he laid eyes on it. But nothing was done by the staff, when we told them it was cold all we got was “medium rare darling it will be cold” is this a joke?! The risotto… i ordered the risotto, i ordered this without onions. However it came with onions so i told the waitress and they sent this back. The gentleman approached the table and said to me “ it didn’t have onions in the first place but we will do you a new one”!!!! How rude!!! I know there was onions because i could physically see them, i didn’t even taste it. As soon as the second one came out that was correct- with no onions however the risotto rice WASN’T COOKED It was rock hard in the middle. When we told them it was greeted again with “aldente darling” thar isn’t aldente its not cooked. All the vegetable sides were extremely poor and frozen veg, they were cold and rock hard in the middle. Again we complained about this and they didn’t like this. When coming to pay we complained again and we was just greeted by both luigi and the gentleman waiter and nothing was done, nothing was taken off the bill. THEY DIDN’T CARE. Arrogance and rude. If you enjoy the food they love you but if you complain you are not welcome and they are rude. WE WILL NOT be coming again after all the years we have been visiting. Do not come here, take your money else where there is a gorgeous Mediterranean restaurant opposite wetherspoons 100% better than this in brighouse, spend you money there not here! BOYCOT!!

We as a couple and family eat out a lot and I have to admit am picky but this is my favourite place, it's amazing, the staff, the food, atmosphere, everything please don't take any notice of any negative reviews it's one of the best restaurants around and I am picky !!!

Love Luigi’s. We visit 2or 3 times a month. It’s great authentic Italian food. Friendly staff and pleasant ambience. Definitely recommend

We booked a table to celebrate my sisters birthday and we were a party of 8 visiting on a Saturday night. To start 2 tomato garlic breads were brought to the table which we didn’t order and were advised that they would be added to the bill. A couple of the starters were ok.. but the pate looked and tasted more like tuna Mayo. These were sent back. Various mains were ordered the steaks were ok, pizzas were salty some had excess cheese and others had no cheese and what looked like raw mushrooms. The spag bol was watery and didn’t really taste of anything and my pasta dish would have tasted better if my 9 year old made it. Also from an Italian that advertise macaroni but get penne isn’t great. Apart from the steaks most dishes were sent back not touched or only slightly eaten. When we advised the staff of our thoughts of the food their attitude completely changed and they were rude. My sister said that they spoiled her birthday night out and the older man said to her … no you spoiled your own birthday. This really is unacceptable when we were giving an honest opinion on the food that we were served. When advising about the spag Bol that my daughter didn’t eat the man said she is just a kid it was fine.. this is how bad it was that my 9 year old that eats anything didn’t eat it. If you are looking for authentic Italian please avoid this restaurant, I have had better and cheaper takeaways.

So we have lived in cleck for many years and when I mentioned Luigi”s my partner sort of pulled a face. Undeterred by his face which I usually am I decided to book a table for three one Sunday evening. We arrived for our 7pm and were warmly greeted by I guess Luigi! We were shown to our table in the conservatory and given the menus. We ordered drinks and chose the whitebait and pizza garlic bread to start. Both gorgeous. For mains both my daughter and I ordered the spaghetti Vesuvio and my partner the pizza diavola. My partner said the pizza was divine and we both loved the pasta. It was a lovely chilled atmosphere and like being on holiday. The prices are reasonable. £67 bill for 3 and the service was excellent. I was gob smacked that we’d not been before! Gorgeous evening and will return and recommend. ❤️Luigi’s xxxxx Ps my partner has just said that was one of the best pizzas he’s ever had!!!!!

The food is always amazing and so is the atmosphere but I really need to say thank you to (who I would call the head waitress ) serving us (6.30 12th June). She’s just brilliant and keeps the show on the road. Just brilliant service. Thank you

This place is a hidden gem.Absolutely beautiful food, lovely welcoming staff who are great with kids and adults alike.Highly recommend! Even got a free cap although someone does not like having his photo taken haha I will add that if you can’t make your booking make sure you cancel!Sad to see that they turned people away for tables and then the bookings did not turn up!So disrespectful! We will definitely be back!

Absolutely beautiful, really enjoyed every part of it! Ready within half an hour and the Mediterranean prawns were fabulous! Can’t fault it and will definitely be back for many more takeaways in the future

Usually really good food, kebabs and pizzas are fantastic but I’m slightly confused as to way the burgers we’ve just received were so bad. Just 2 pieces of extremely dry chicken inside a dry bun, that’s it? Really disappointed as your food is usually perfect

My wife and I have eaten here a few times now and I thought I should write a review not something I really do.I had a fantastic freshly made pizza and my wife had the paella which she thoroughly enjoyed. I can only recommend this little bistro a visit and you can enjoy for yourself.

Another family meal at Luigi’s.We had our usual table and between us we ordered pizza, garlic bread, spicy prawn penne, lasagne, squid and a yummy tiramisu.Always very good, always hot and pretty quick.Luigi was there and his usual self.A great little spot.A little confusion over the early bird menu and costings which we thought about afterwards but we will be back soon !

We've been to Luigis twice in the past month. It's a lovely place, very nice atmosphere with friendly staff to match. The first visit I had sea bass, the second time risotto. Both were equally delicious.

Very nice Itailian restaurant good food at reasonable prices with very friendly efficient staff. They also do a take away menu for you to collect and it is the same food as the restaurant. Would advise booking at peak times or if a large party.Will be coming again

Luigis cleckheaton is a wondeful little restaurant. Great menu with plenty of specials you will not be disappointed with a visit. Pizzas are some of the best around with thin crisp bases, we always start with the garlic bread with tomato sauce which is wondeful when eaten fresh from the oven. Staff are very friendly and you are always made to feel welcome. If you have a large party or visit during busy times it best to book ahead.

Just had a lasagna and tomato pizza bread from Luigi’s. The food quality is just great and the staff very nice indeed. Luigi’s has always been a brilliant Italian restaurant in this area and should be visited, soon.

We tried to book but as it was full, we decided to take out from the menu.

As per the title really. The service was a tad over friendly and I don't take kindly to being called a "guy" as in "are you guys okay" etc. It would have been nice also to have been able to remove our coats and become seated before staff pitched in with asking for drink orders. The food, lasagne & carbonara etc, was acceptable but run of the mill in the scheme of things. Finally, there's no hot water whatsoever in the toilets/washrooms which is bad form and if you are going to fit new doors it would be wise to paint both sides and not leave them in primer coat.

Small but perfectly formed; this restaurant has a cosy atmosphere and lovely staff. The food is really excellent.

We didnt book, huge mistake on our part! However due to a cancellation they kindly squeezed myself and my husband in for a meal as long as we finished within 90 mins. I had a pasta dish and my husband had the calzone. The main course was delicious, the pasta was lovely but I had a sneaky bite of the hubs calzone and it was amazing! So fresh, so well filled with lots of sauce! We enjoyed the main so much we stayed for dessert of profiteroles to top off a lovely meal!

This is a small, very friendly Italian restaurant. The staff are excellent and a close eye is kept on the whole business by Luigi himself. The food was good an plentiful. It felt like we were eating in someones house rather than a restaurant. You definatly need to book.

This is a lovely, small authentic Italian restaurant. It’s sister restaurant, Papa la pizza, which is next door is also excellent. The food and service are great and as a true pizza lover, their pizzas are the best around and are available to take away as well.

Visited for a friends birthday, and everyone else’s food was beautiful. However in my main course (lobster ravioli) I found a hair in the middle of the filling of the pasta. Explained this to the waiting staff quietly as the plates were taken away, which obviously I had pasta visibly left on my plate, who merely took the plate away and came back to say that it was a fibre from a jumper or something, bearing in mind this was in the centre of the piece of ravioli, that’s still not acceptable. No apologies offered, and having worked within hospitality for years I am very aware as to what a hair in food looks like. Completely disgusted at the way the issue was dealt with.

Went here for a family meal, the food was beautiful and the service was excellent the staff could not do enough to please and were very polite. Birra Moretti on draught too what a great beer and so in keeping with Italy. They only have limited space so booking is recommended. All in all a very nice experience in simple clean surroundings.

My favourite local Italian for takeaway pizza. Collection only. Pizzas are authentic; stonebaked with plenty of topping - good selection of topping choices. The set pizzas are all very good in my experience, I highly recommend the 'vesuvio' and 'nostomo'. The garlic tomato bread is also delicious. Good service, popular spot. I have yet to eat in the restaurant, so watch this space!

Working in the area I had tried a few other restaurants within a few miles with varying results. I had driven past this venue a few times and finally after a referral from a colleague stopped by.

Great hot food ! Seated straight away ! A pleasure & we will call again soon , drinks were lovely & cool , staff were very friendly & had a laugh with them ! We did book so they were 20 of us ! All were happy with everything & nice clean place & lovely atmosphere x

It was my daughters birthday and she wanted to return so 5 of us came down and it was very good.

You can easily drive past Luigi - but don’t! It is small and feels like you’re in an Italian home with the same attention, portion size and warm welcome you would expect!

This restaurant is a gem, staff are very nice and friendly. We both had different starters and main courses, both were delicious. We'll definitely go back, would recommend booking.

I times have eaten with Luigi a few times and have never been disappointed.

We visited on a cold Thursday evening and were warmly welcomed by both the waiter and the owner. We both ordered tagliatelle (mine with salmon and my husband's the Luigis special). They were served before we'd even had time to finish a bread roll each and were tasty and hot. We each had a very reasonably priced and palatable glass of House White Wine. My husband had the home-made Tiramisu and I chose the Limoncello dessert; both were lovely. Complimentary glasses of Sambucco were served with the very reasonable bill.

Called to book a table so my family and our friends could try a local italian, the man that answered the phone was very abrupt and rude, i asked what choice they had for children and he said he didn’t have time to talk to me know as he was busy so could i call back another time ? Rude, rude, rude !!!!

Spur of the moment to try this restaurant. Only a few diners in so shown to a table straight away by friendly owner. Nice clean & well decorated rooms with view (if wanted) through to kitchen & take away area.

Driven passed for ages without really noticing, but called in for a takeaway just before Xmas - not realising there was a restaurant there. Had my takeaway which I loved and went back last night for a restaurant meal. Extremely good Pizza in a great atmosphere and very reasonably priced. Good selection of food and drinks cannot fault it, we will be back

Eight of us went to celebrate an 80th Birthday. Food was superb as usual and Luigi was the perfect host. Excellent evening enjoyed by all.

Had family over so decided on a takeaway from here even though quite expensive. All i can say is never again, food clap cold and the pizza dough wasnt cooked properly and dont even get me started on the chips and lasagne. Overpriced crap.

Have just had a takeaway from here and the lasagne was cold and tasteless, the pizza was bland, cold and half cooked, the chicken stroganoff was cold and had very little chicken in and the cheesy garlic pizzas as dry and the cheese was hiding. Never again!

Great small restaurant that concentrates on quality and service. Great food in a great atmosphere with a great host. We went for our first visit with friends who go regularly and we were not disappointed. For a Tuesday it was busy and there was also a singer on for the evening who just added value to the experience.

Visited Luigi's for my birthday, on recommendation with my husband and another couple. We arrived to a warm welcome from the friendly staff. The restaurant is small and yet offers good sized menu but don't decide before you go as there is a large specials board. The restaurant filled up quickly and there was a good atmosphere so I'd recommend booking to avoid disappointment! We weren't left waiting to give our orders and the drinks and food arrived quickly. Between us we had mussels, deep fried cheese, pancakes and stuffed mushrooms and all were delicious with no complaints from us. For mains the Calzone (my husband's favourite) was great and the pizza with all the toppings chosen by one of our friends was thoroughly enjoyed. Our other friend and I went for pasta and whilst she enjoyed her choice I was disappointed. Lasagne is my all time favourite and always my choice at Italian restaurants and although the lasagne here is very nice it was too herby for me but that's a personnel thing. A relative who's eaten here loved it! This won't stop me returning as there's loads of choice. There's also an early bird menu offered which looks interesting. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend.

We have visited Luigi’s at Birstall and when he had the Liversedge one many times so thought we would try the Cleckheaton offering and it was excellent.

What a fantastic meal and service. Very reasonably priced. Lots on the menu and specials board. Will definitely be coming again.

I ordered take out. My son is a pizza perfectionist and said it is the best he's evet tasted outside of Naples and I totally agree. I also ordered lasagne. Unfortunately it was very runny...dudnt wuite hit the spot. I will definetly return for pizza.

I am a very frequent user of Luigi's, in my mind it is the best Italian take away now restaurant in the area by far, however ringing for my usual Friday fix and being abruptly turned away because your are busy so you have decided to shut the takeaway section down for the night!!!!! SERIOUSLY, I appreciate it can get busy but on a peak night, surely just ensure you have enough resources available, this place started off as a takeaway and has evolved into a takeaway / restaurant but shutting loyal customers down with a poor excuse especially when a certain pizza outlet has just opened in the area isn't going to help what looks like a now thriving business just don't forget the people who were using you every week when things weren't as busy!!!

We had a delightful evening, the food was delicious,the service excellent, and the atmosphere and background music made our evening. Thank you Luigi we will certainly come again. Please remember to book as it's a very small intimate restaurant.

Love this little cosy Italian, the food is always amazing, and the service is very personal, prefer it over the raucous hustle and bustle of the other Italian in Cleckheaton. There take away's are just as good as sitting in.

I got a take away. Lived in local area for a long time and never had take out from here. Cheaper than dominoes better quality than dominoes or persicos. The pizza was awsome that's all I can say order now if like Italian.

I cannot fault this small Italian restaurant,we eat here regularly and always get a warm welcome. You can simply sit at the bar whilst waiting for your takeaway or sit in...the menu consists of a main menu and specials board,something for everyone. Children are welcome and sometimes it is best to book but they will try and accommodate you. Whether you choose pizza,pasta,seafood or specials you will not be disappointed. Excellent service,excellent chef and relaxed atmosphere.

Having visited the restaurant in birstall many times thought I would give it a try. Wow. Really impressive service, ordered a calzone and it was the best thing I had eaten in years. Really impressed that I now have a fantastic and genuine top quality Italian restaurant on my doorstep.

Highly recommended !!!. Amazing food. I order pasta and my wife pizza. We ask for soup they didn't have so they did tomato soup special for us !!! Everything was delicious !!! And don't forget to try Italian lager. Me and my wife will definitlly come back there ..... many times !!!

A Confession. Italian food isn't my favourite dining out experience, but on my Wife's bidding, I went along. First impression, nice place, friendly staff, 90% full, always a good indicator. Another Confession-- I can't stand cheese! Well, there wasn't that sweaty, warm cheese smell that usually pervades Italian Restaraunts. The food-- a shared starter of Mushroom, Garlic and Chilli in a warm, white wine sauce, absolutely splendid.Main courses of Lobster ravioli in spicy sauce, and Spaghetti Vesuvio, Black Olives and Hot Salami in a rich Tomato Sauce, all washed down with a couple of pints of beer.The Staff were excellent, nothing too much trouble, and the Owner came out and added the personal touch. All in all, a fine evening out which I am sure will be repeated very soon. Excellent Value for Money, would tell everyone to pay a visit.

My cousin visited from Buckinghamshire and I tried to book a table but it was full so we opted for a take away. We walked down and ordered our pizza. The pizza was delicious and we ended up getting a cheeky cheescake to go with it. Will definitely go again and hopefully book a table .

IT was Saturday night and a take away was needed to eat during movie night. Opted to walk down to order a pizza rather than have a long wait for a delivery from somewhere else. Limited take away menu but it contains all the favourites including puddings. We had a calzone and a ham and mushroom then thought begger it and got choc fudge cake and tiramisu. Naughty naughty. My pizza was divine but would only give the tiramisu 7/10 as it did not pick me up as the name suggests. Would return for more pizza.

Went here with some friends one Sunday evening and it was excellent. The staff answered my Facebook message confirming my table booking within minutes. Upon arrival the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food and service was superb from start to finish. I would go as far to say that this was one of the nicest pizzas I have ever had! I can't believe we haven't been before given that it is within walking distance of where we live. We will be back for sure!!! Thank you.

Luigi has been serving up great Italian food in the area for many years and this relatively new venture carries on that tradition in an informal atmosphere. We have only tried the takeaway and the pastas are deifinitely restaurant quality. You can eat in also.

This is a little gem of a restaurant! We've eaten here twice in the last two weeks and it has been fantastic both times. The food is excellent and all the staff are really friendly, which creates a lovely atmosphere. The takeaway food is also of the same high standard. We'll definitely eat here again!

I was a little concerned when I called on Saturday afternoon and they could manage a table for 14. But I needn't have worried.

We started off on a bad food when I wanted to order a glass of wine, and the barman was rude to me. However the food made up for the poor service, and I enjoyed my meal of gnocchi and salmon pasta. The rest of my party were pretty happy with their choice of food

Nice good and service but as most Italian eateries it's as though your rushed into your meal as if there's a queue waiting go jump into your seat

When I visited with friends, everyones order arrived but mine. My friends had nearly finished their meal before my pizza arrived. One good thing occurred and we got a bottle of wine free - whether by accident or omission. It was welcomed.
