All round great experience. Food ace, simple menu, excellent attentive smiley service from the two lads, and perfectly lit. Well done all, highly recommended for a simple eat with some interesting cocktails to compliment.

We were not disappointed. The service was well informed and friendly. The atmosphere was lively, warm and relaxed. Me and my girlfriend had the spicy veggie ramen, two types of gyoza and a delicious vegan dessert. All made with care and attention to detail and flavors. Highly recommend.

The perfect cafe. I've eaten here 3 times now and I always feel satisfied. The coffee alone is excellent but the food is where this place shines. I think the owner was going for more traditional English cafe grub but more elevated. Which is great because they have still kept the prices really reasonable and achieved their goal. All the food is delicious. The service is excellent and child-friendly and the atmosphere is perfection. Mid-century jazzy feel. Very comfy atmosphere. I can highly recommend. I hope they stay along time (and open another cafe in Hanham? Please? Hanham hasn't got any cafes right now and locals would LOVE this) Cheers guys - keep doing what you're doing!

Came for the Tomo no ramen pop up and it was impeccable. All the flavours of ramen were excellent, and the staff are the loveliest!

Beautiful cafe with retro atmosphere. brunch here is absolutely outstanding, sophisticated flavours and fun takes on classics. added extra the music is great and not played too loudly so great environment to be able to talk and relax.

Lovely staff serving British traditional food with a flourish. Spartan but a nice “vibe.” Fantastic coffee. We enjoyed ham, egg and duck fat fried potatoes and also Welsh rarebit on sourdough bread.

Totally amazing find on East St. Ahead of its time. But in there early for the influx of new flats in the area. Totally unexpected flavours, every dish spot on. Unusual wine list - orange wine from Puglia a taste sensation. Lovely staff and fab cork ceiling. We’ll be back soon. Well done guys.

A most delicious brunch offering!! The square sausage sandwich left me grunting in delight. Spaghetti hoops had the right balance of savoury and sweetness, with a good whack of cheese on top. Duck fat potatoes give QCH in London a run for their money too. The food is cooked with such generosity, and we left happily stuffed. The staff were equally as wonderful too and always made sure we had everything we needed. If only more places were like this! It has a clear identity and the quality of food speaks for itself (despite some reviews claiming it has no idea what it's about).

Popped in last night for our anniversary meal and so so glad we did. Everything was great from the decor, the staff, the menu, the cocktails and the music. I rarely leave reviews but this was one of those places you visit and just want to do well. Every dish we had was lovely with a unique twist - especially recommend the eggs and asparagus… Had a lovely chat with the owner who clearly cares so much about the food, atmosphere and general customer experience. It’s truly impressive to effortlessly cultivate an atmosphere that’s simultaneously cool, relaxing, and inviting. This establishment excels in doing just that. From its decor to the warmth of its staff and the evident passion infused into every aspect, it deserves top marks. Though I had food envy, I would definitely recommend if you’re in the area!

Chanced upon this place almost a year ago, and I’ve been several times for brunch ever since. Amazing place with gorgeous interior design. Their coffee is excellent!! I always order a latte here. I’ve tried most of the brunch options, including the anglesey eggs, tattie scone, lucky hoops…Would recommend all of them but especially the anglesey eggs (as pictured)! Service is also incredible; you feel welcomed the moment you step through the doors. Can’t recommend this place more :)

Nice spot, great service. However the size of that "tattie scone" was an outrage (as a Scottish man living in Bristol). At £8, you'd hope for a couple of them let alone one at the size of a finger.

Hands down the most incredible spot in Bristol. The food is amazing, the staff are perfect and the atmosphere is just to die for. We’ve been for brunch and dinner and on a few occasions and it NEVER disappoints. BS3 is so lucky to have this literal GEM of a spot. Thank you guys!!

One of our favourite spots in the whole of Bristol! As regular drop ins we recently visited with a bunch of friends and everyone was chuffed to bits with our time spent in this mid-century marvel. As a large group, we had varied dietary requirements and had some last minute changes to the number of guests able to make it on the day - Tom was super helpful and the chef put together a brilliant crafted set menu that completely blew our socks off. Classic cocktails hit all the right spots and the food is next level - seemingly humble portions pack a proper punch and the attention to detail is top tier. Looking forward to our next (and nowhere near last) visit to East Street's finest.

You peek through the window and get the feeling that this can't be quite real. A mix of 70' charm and Wes Anderson esthetic draws you in. Surely, this is some sort of experience or game. No, it isn't. However, the food is just as comforting and nostalgic as the vibe and decor. For a brief moment, you forget about the miseries of the world out there. Ambitious project having this kind of restaurant in East Street, however it stands out while simultaneously blending in perfectly. A great addition to the area to provide respite from the hussle and bustle from the high street. If I was a Michelin guide I would tell you to make a detour. It's worth the trip from wherever you live in Bristol.

I love this little place. They sell the best coffee in East Street and the food is incredible. I like the limited menu, it means everything is chosen with care and done incredibly well. The menu, although small, has options for different dietary requirements and seems to change regularly. The interior has a very mid century modern vibe about it and the staff are just lovely.

Outstanding food and service, very reasonably priced. Would particularly recommend the roast celeriac with stilton custard and, for non drinkers, the locally made kombucha

Wow, what a cool twist on a British brunch! Absolutely loved this place. The chefs are so creative, the food was delicious and the staff are super friendly. I’d highly recommend the lucky hoops and spiced pumpkin and cashew pie. Just heavenly comfort food.

Exactly what I hoped it would be. Thoughtful food, quirkily presented and delicious. The 70s theme was a joy, down to the doilies under the dessert dishes. Service was warm, funny and genuine without being over the top, pitch perfect. Lucky Strike has a really friendly vibe, you can see the care that goes into the food and the welcome they offer. Properly lovely local gem, we’ll be back soon to try brunch. I hope it continues to be busy as it deserves to be.

Unreal food, vibe and people. Nostalgic 70s decor with a fresh twist, coffee is superb (from local Triple Roast Co), and the service is warm and super friendly. Absolute must try are the lucky hoops - can’t express how good they are, gourmet but nostalgic all at once. Will be back!!

First visit and thought food and cocktails were amazing.

Tonight I visited Lucky Strike for dinner after having a delicious brunch a few months ago. The service was warm and welcoming, menu explained and dishes described perfectly. All the food was so yummy, my favourites being the pork rillettes, Glamorgan sausages, poached pear + chocolate and beetroot torte. I love that the portion sizes are slightly smaller here so you can enjoy starter, main and dessert without feeling ridiculously stuffed and at a great price too. Definitely one of my favourite Bedminster spots

I ate with friends one evening and we all enjoyed the food, it’s a regularly changing menu of English classics with a contemporary twist. The 70’s ambience couldn’t be better. This place is fabulous and I’m looking forward to the next visit.

FANTASTIC! Amazing mid century style British cafe serving unexpected and delicious dishes at extremely good prices. They also serve great cocktails and we found the server to be highly engaged in the menu which enhanced the experience. Enjoyed brunch and dinner and will definitely be coming back for more soon. Bristol should be shouting about this place, highly recommended!

Awesome little spot. Passed this a few times and had been itching to go. The service was fantastic, awesome friendly and funny staff. Amazing coffee, the spare sausage sandwich was great (my photo doesn’t do it justice). Top negroni’s and the pineapple cherry upside bake was top. Definitely gonna be back. Incredible British food in a local neighbourhood caff. We had Rarebit, Lucky Hoops, and the Ham Egg and Duck Fat Potatoes. The atmosphere was great and the staff were lovely - we especially appreciated the offer of a high-chair for our little one. A comforting and nostalgia-inducing spot. We'll be back.

Cannot recommend this place highly enough. We only had an hour as we off to see a show so went for a mix of starters and puddings plus a couple of cocktails. Entire bill came to less than £50, the service was friendly and knowledgeable and the puddings are unmissable. Could've happily eaten everything on the menu. Just a lovely lovely place for great food, relaxed atmosphere and incredible value for money. Oh, and the cocktails aren't bad either!

I've been wanting to visit for a while and it did not disappoint - the food is tasty, novel, fun and well priced. The cocktails were great, as was the service. Just came for brunch - cool interior and one of the nicest places in the area. My partner loved the ham egg and potatoes - it was almost like a dauphinoise. I liked the square sausage bap too. Definitely a cool and modern take with modest portions, not where to go if you want a greasy spoon.

Maybe my new favourite place in Bristol! Impeccable food, incredible drinks, amazing, thoughtful service and a gorgeous, relaxed atmosphere. Such a special spot and worth visiting for lunch, or dinner, or drinks or anything in between.

This is a great spot for brunch. Very friendly staff, fun menu. The Bloody Mary is the best I’ve ever had. The grapefruit is amazing. The iced coffee is good. The hoops were a pass for me. The crockery is really fun. The theming of this place is cool.

Love this place. We live locally so we've been a handful of times now, both for brunch and dinner. The food is great and pretty unusual, you're often trying something you've never had before, I think they take inspiration from traditional dishes from the British isles. The cocktails are fantastic (would personally recommend the amaretto sour!) and the general atmosphere and decoration is really nice. Tom (the owner and front of house) is lovely and service is top class. Would definitely recommend and the bill was cheaper than expected! The pricing is very reasonable!

My girlfriend and I had coffee in this lovely little cafe this morning. Its inn a great location, on East Street in popular Bedminster, nestled within a row of other shops. When we arrived, the staff were friendly and welcoming. They had a few options for vegans and considering the size of the menu, tjhis was appreciated. The interior is straight out of a mid-century diner, very low-key, beautifully put together. Despite being low-key, they got the basics right, I had a flat white and it was lovely. We are going to be back to try the food in the near future, for sure. My girlfriend and I did comment that we would like an option along the lines of tofu scramble on toast but otherwise we enjoyed everything about this place! Would definitely recommend.

A comfortable and lovely cafe, with delicious food and coffee. I didn't expect to have homemade spaghetti hoops on toast and say "that's delicious", ever but they have somehow cracked it. The staff are friendly and the seating and all around look of the place is great.

Had a lovely oat milk latte while my partner had a double espresso and we shared a honey brioche-type bun which is their answer to a croissant. Coffees were both great and the bun exceeded expectations. Great service too. Will definitely come again to try the food (and definitely another bun!)
