Lucky Star in Wigan

Ordered 2 sweetcorn soups, 1 spare ribs, 1 fried rice and chicken and mushroom. Total price 29.30. When we asked about the total price being a little high we was told to go elsewhere and had the phone slammed down. Will never get my business again after using this place at least once a fortnight for the last 3 years.

Ventured in on my way home from work my usual golden dry was a 35 min wait so starving I odered my food and waiting the worn down building site wait for my noodle box to get home fourth mouthful in —-STONE IN MY NOODLE BOX,A ROCK/STONE

Ordered King Prawn with Bamboo and water chestnuts. There was not ONE water chestnut in the Tub.What are we paying for @£6.60 Special Fooyung, Packed out with onion,egg did not touch both sides of the tub,eggs are not expensive Also£6.60 If the restaurant is scrimping like this AVOID. I will not be using this restaurant again VERY POOR

There aren't many takeaways in the area with a vegan section, but fortunately Lucky Star is one of them. There is a good selection of dishes for all dietary requirements and the food is very tasty (and generous portions!). Would definitely recommend.

There is not many good Chinese places around with a high food safety rating. Lucky Star has 4 stars out of 5 which makes it a safe place to eat. Majority of places you will find on Just-Eat are rated 3 stars by Wigan council. I would never touch any food from a place that is rated below 4; Very glad we found Lucky Star where we can eat with confidence. The food is lovely. I love the vast selection of not only Chinese but also Thai. The Thai chicken roll is great, so are the curries and dumpling. We are mostly happy with everything. The only thing I would improve is the Won Ton soup. I love how it has a lot of vegetable in it like cabbage, carrot etc, however I would add spring onion and improve the flavour and consistency a bit. Its still a good soup and the dumplings are some of the best I had from a takeaway in a long time but the broth needs a bit improvement. Lucy Star is a great place to eat with safe and tasty food that is always consistent.

We found this Chinese around 3-4 months ago. It isn't our closest living in Glazebury but we're never disappointed by the food quality or the customer service.

Just had a takeaway from yourselves, the food we received yes was nice however we didn’t receive what we wanted we were missing two salt and pepper chicken and one satay sauce, when I then rang them to explain he said they would send it now however it would cost me a further £10 when I had already spent £43 on four meals which meant it would then be £53 for four meals and when we had added it up on the menu it actually only came up to £26!! What a rip off! The delivery driver wouldn’t give us the food without paying the extra £10 which I wasn’t prepared to pay considering it was there fault and we hadn’t had that much food anyway!!! How pathetic, won’t be using them again terrible service!! 😡😡

We ordered food two meals left of and we’re over charged by £26 absolutely disgusting service the food we did receive was nice but will never use this place again.

Over priced, soggy salt and pepper box, all tasted stale including the chicken wings which had a distinctive taste to them, rang the shop back to state our concerns to be rudely spoke to and the phone put down, clearly they are used to these complaint by the way they handled our call, stay clear!

this is a disgusting place the food is awful its un clean never wasnt on time its over priced and i cannot tell you how rude the owner is very disgusting and told me he didnt speak to woman only dealt with men

We used to order regularly from here but quality went down rapidly...found out it has new owners and thought we'd give it another try, much better! We will continue to order from now on.

We went to this takeaway tonight because there wasn't any others open with it being a Sunday. We ordered a simple fish and chips, chips and curry; and everything was undercooked and tasted very poor. We ended up throwing the food away after having a few mouthfuls!!! Would never buy again.

We placed a telephone order last night. The starter for 2 is wonderful. The food was excellent and delivery very quick.

We use to go here lots of times but we moved away a few years ago. We recently had a delivery and you know what it was still really good. Miss you guys but will certainly be calling again when back.

This Chinese takeaway is great if you want a meal delivered to you door ,just phone it in give them a delivery time and hay presto its there and with a smile , I would recommend this takeaway to everyone who wants a good meal when you say and plenty of it.

They use frozen chips and the duck came already shredded which was also probably frozen and out of a packet. When paying £14 for half a duck not what I expect, the sauce that came with the duck was very watery. Disappointing and won't be ordering again!

I have been using Lucky Star chinese restaurant now for over 8 years and to this day ive never had a bad meal yet. The delivery is always on time and the food is piping hot. The staff are friendly and can never do enough for you. I always enjoy everything, however the combination starters and the chicken and sweetcorn soup are amongst my favourites. Its really well priced too, especially if you order a banquet. Ive tried others in the past but always come back to Lucky Star as it always tops the rest! Make your booking over the phone.....its at your doorstep within 45 mins! Excellent!

Not much sauce with crispy sweet chilli. It was dry. And salt and pepper chicken not what I expected. Was very amateur. Frozen chips too. Not great.

Hot and sour soup was good... Duck and pancakes were good ... salt and pepper chips were oven chips and they were horrible and the curry space was bland and watery... the worst chips and sauce I've ever tasted

To say I wouldn't feed it my did is a understatement absolutely vile it was that bad I rang and got them to pick it back up!

We have ordered before from Lucky Garden, and the few quality was good and fresh. This time the food quality was poor, chicken was hard and we requested prawn crackers and these was not included. I rang to discuss but was then advised that the offers was just for phone orders. I was dissapointed as they could of contacted me to tell me before delivery so I could of added this onto my order.

We've been trying a few different Chinese takeaways recently after our usual one closed and this was by far the best. We'll definitely be using them again. Food came a bit late but it was worth the wait.

Over 30 minutes late with no phonecall. When I phoned the shop and wanted an explanation the man told me the driver was lost and to ring his mobile as he couldn't call me as he had no credit! Very rude! The food was nice but cold as a result of this.

What a joke!!! The food that came was nothing what I ordered and I rang up and the idiots tried to tell us it's how they cook it. Never ordering again they need to give there head a wobble.

Really disappointed with lucky stars customer service. When I rang to explain I had ordered incorrectly I thought I had ordered crispy aromatic duck and when it arrived it was crispy aromatic chicken. I never knew that there was a dish called crispy aromatic chicken? Anyway I rang them with a view to reordering the duck and the guy in the phone was so rude and arrogant stated I wouldn't be doing business with them anymore. The sad thing is I have used their takeaway many many times and feel they could of dealt with this better. I wasn't asking for a refund or for any attitude just good customer service.

Chips a bit soggy, that's cause they travelled such a long distance. They were still good. Rest of the food was lovely. It came sooner than expected delivery guy was nice. All in all very enjoyable mmmm

We have just ordered from here and although the food was ok, the service was not! We ordered a bottle of Coke, and when it arrived, the seal had been broken and the contents had been watered down! Also, the delivery driver just left the food on the front doorstep. Please think twice before ordering from here. Who knows what was inside that Coke Bottle? When I called and confronted, they didn't disagree with what I had said. They made out that some customers prefer their coke watered down. Sounds like a crock of shite to me.

I gave delivery instructions and a land line, waited by the phone until I hear a guy shouting hello, go to the window and he's screaming and shouting saying I called you... He didn't. Opened the door and he spent a good 2/3 minutes screaming at me, me just standing there gobsmacked and intimidated. I'm a woman who lives alone without neighbours, it was really distressing and I didn't even eat after it. Absolutely disgusting, I'll never use them again.

Chips were like last nights warm ups. My crispy shredded chicken was more like rubber shredded batter. Ordered before and always been good but this was awful. Happy New Year.

Wouldn't even bother, waited 1hour 30minutes for delivery. When it came the soup was all over the bag, the prawn crackers where stale, the fried rice container had cracked which resulted into plastic in the rice. Half way through the crispy beef, it looked like there was mud in the meal! I will be not ordering from here again! Disgusting!

It took just under 2 hours to come as they got mine and somebody else's order mixed up so the driver had to go back to the shop. The food is lovely, the only thing letting them down is the time it took. Not sure if it's like that all the time as its only the 2nd time I've ordered there.

Don't know what's happened to this place, so much salt on the food it tasted of nothing else.. Feel like I've just drunk a gallon of seawater. Delivery was fast but no free prawn crackers again..... Dissapointing
