Lucky House in Blackpool

Am staying around the corner small restaurant with good service I had my usual chicken and sweetcorn soup followed by prawn in bean shoots with fried rice which was hot and enjoyable

Amazing Chinese! Quick service, friendly staff and food was top notch. Did takeaway.

Been to blackpool on holiday and we went to the lucky house for dinner.and the owner watched us from the minute we sat down until we had finished our meal it was very off puting.the food was disgusting and very tasteless.they were very forward and kept asking if we were finished.we wont be back it was horrible and the food is disgusting.

We went in to get a take away, lady wasn’t all that friendly, we were looking at the menu and she passed us the paper one rather than the eat in one, saying abruptly wrong one, sitting down we waited for our food to be cooked, she wasn’t chatty

I've not had the chow mein yet but had the starter and the ribs were horrible hardly any meat and just fatty and greasy never again will stick with golden bird

Got a delivery tonight as a treat to myself not had the chow mein yet but had the combination for 2 starter was really enjoying it till i got to the spear ribs hardly any meat and just tasted like grease and fat was horrible straight out of the window for the birds definitely not worth the £25 i paid think from now on will stick with my normal Chinese takeaway golden bird never any problems with them

We went in last night and just worked out the prices, and was over charged by £20, unless the website has not been updated. Food was lovely though !

Food isn’t cooked properly, soggy chicken, cold chips, the ribs were black, sauce watery, all good wet and soggy

Possibly the worst Chinese I’ve ever had, salt and pepper spring rolls were soggy, chips were dry and like cardboard, fried rice was mushy and curry was tasteless, the soup I ordered was also spilled all over the bag so had next to nothing left in.

Had the Vegi duck and wraps. This was nice, but Vegi Curry was very bland. Also, I added it together when back in the B/B, we got overcharged according to the menu I picked up.

I ordered a takeaway. Never again will I order from here, the bbq sauce was nothing like bbq sauce. Was watery and tasteless. The chips was hard and overcooked. I ordered a curry sauce with peas and onion. curry sauce was full of black bits. Photo attached and swamping in grease

The lady can come across as brusque at first which some people have interpreted as rude but it is just the business-like Chinese way to be direct. She had a nice chat with us. I like the set-up and the food is cheap. If you think it’s dear, go elsewhere and see how much they’re charging. A set meal for two is 17 quid each. It costs that at lunchtime for soup, fish and chips in most pubs. As usual the drinks are way too dear and it’s cash only - which is annoying. So negative marks - £2.30 for a can of coke, Hmmm. Pancake roll was still cold in the middle. Beef smells nice bit has little real taste, and the batter was too soft on the sweet and sour chicken. It needed more frying. I saw the chips on another table and I could tell exactly how they would taste having had disappointing chips in numerous Chinese takeaways. Unless they do ‘English style’ chippy-chips, never have chips in a Chinese. They can’t do them They’re always unseasoned, flat, powdery and dry. These were. Fortunately we had fried rice for two which was lovely, just a bit on the stingy side.

Good was stone cold and on delivery boxes where broken

Delivery was good, but the guy took no note of my message. I was unhappy with the Quality of the sweet and sour dip were the sour king prawns some of the wasn't cook and thay fell to bits If I could I will the quality a 0 STARZ

I have travelled from glasgow to blackpool. Visited the restaurant on many occasions. The results are always the same. Great food. Warm welcome.staff are very nice. Pay it a visit .

I defo wasn’t impressed with the food i received second time i went to this place. First time curry rice ships ok price and food. Next Singapore chow/ curry sauce/ chips i was charged £21 no singapore kick thin sauce chips ok. But price and taste its a big fat no! Sorry

Come here after a long journey. Welcome me is a warm environment and a super cute grey fat cat called Penny. Ordered fried rice, super big portion. It taste good . Boss lady is friendly

Possibly the worst Chinese I’ve ever been too . Cat on the table next to us , seriously this is one bad eating ( loosely ) eating establishment . I we had to pay by bank transfer because we never seen the small cash only sign . Will never never go back .

The food was definitely out of date and didn’t taste like Chinese for definite. Had to put it all in the bin, I have been eating Chinese food for over 20years now, I was so disappointed.

Just OK.. nothing special. Decided to try this restaurant and dined in. Small restaurant, a bit ran down. Staff were polite, food severed fast. The food was mediocre, portions were generous, a bit over priced considering the area. Fizzy drinks were from a can, curry sauce tasted like it was out of a packet. Definitely had better Chineses but it was “OK” I wouldn’t really recommend anyone to go there for the food, much better Chineses in Blackpool. It’s a convenient place to go to if you want somewhere that’s quiet, your food fast and no thrills (worries about dressing up etc)

Food was flavourless and cold upon delivery

This was delivered on the night when the Trams were cancelled due to the storm. Well done, thank you, Lucky House. The food was great too! And the food was delivered within the time specified.

The waiter was really nice and helpful. Food was abysmal and served on plastic plates. Overpriced, weird tasting and the fact they charge £3.50 for half a pint of orange squash is a joke! Especially when they charge £2.50 for a can of pop. The curry sauce tastes like it comes out of a packet too.

Fantastic little restaurant. Visited on a Tuesday night, no probs getting a table. Seated, ordered and served food within about 10 minutes. Food was delicious and the lady serving was excellent. Portions were large, spice level was superb. Son was very happy with size of kids meal. 2 adults and a kids meal- about £30 was amazing for the amount of quality food we had. Totally recommended if you are in the area. Only thing to remember is its cash only, other than that, loved it.

This place needs closing down asap. Absolutely revolting food and a service that matches. The Chinese woman who takes your money in the filthy cafe is the most obnoxious rudest woman I've ever met. She's absolutely vile in every way. She should be ashamed of herself having that little boy sitting at a table all night in the filthy cafe playing on his tablet. Avoid this place at all costs.

I've been reviewing restraunts for 6 years this is by far the worse 1 I have ever been in avoid at all costs 5 king prawns don't start me on the beef disgusting tough vegetables that were raw if your going tonight please avoid

Reasonably priced good food with great service

Food very bland had roast pork fried rice hardly any meat in.and what there was is full of fat.bbq ribs aswell.thats what they were bones very little meat.and sauce watery £13.50 wasted never again

This is the second time visiting the Lucky House during our visit to Blackpool and I wasn't disappointed. The staff were very polite and friendly and the food was very good and very fairly priced. It's well worth seeking out this small and friendly establishment when you visit Blackpool.

The food arrived on time and was piping hot. The issue is the taste. Bland and tasteless. I ordered from here as the choices on Uber eats aren’t great but the hygiene rating was one of the better ones. The food does seem fresh I just have found it to be tasteless. I wouldn’t order again unfortunately based on the flavours.

Way earlier than expected and the food was freezing cold literally not even warm. I had Cantonese chicken and it was vile the veg was soggy and the was half a mushroom in it I feel like got someone’s unwanted order

Finally you have to judge a place according to the price and the price was cheap, so I don't think you are going to get better quality for such a low price.

Food was cold and not very nice the ribs where very fatty

Went into the restaurant to order take away. The staff receiving the order didn't seem to care and looked super miserable. I ordered fried rice with veg springroles and asked if it was possible to get more springroles on the side, whereas no answer only rolling eyes and sights was the answer. The fried rice was fried rice ... but the springroles were small and overcooked, and the sweet and sour sauce tasted more like jam. I am not coming back here again. They only receive cash.

My husband and l went here on Friday 2nd Dec it was lovely , l had roast pork chow mein and he had beef curry fried rice and chips, one can of carling and a bottle of Chinese lager just over £30 and all served by a lovely little waitress. It was so good we ended up back on the Sunday night , just as good if not better. I have a problem with my stomach and both times l never had any problems which is amazing. Will definately be back next time in blackpool

My husband went into this takeaway to order our meal. Unfortunately the person taking the order didn't speak good English and as a result the main dish of our order was not supllied, Will not use this place again

Thought I would give this place a try . It was very good value for money and the portions were very generous but the food was lacking taste and flavour . I could tell the chips were frozen and just a poor quality the meat in the rice was small and burnt . It was ok but I've had alot better from other Chinese takeaways but can't complain for the price .

Called in over the fireworks evening with my wife and daughter, thoroughly enjoyed the Singapore vermicelli and would recommend the starter platter.

Went and ordered from here on Thursday night all I have done since then is been to the toilet and my friend has been sick all night Friday we are both not very well at all

Terrible. Never seen a Thai curry tasted of nothing at all was awful . Won't ever go this place again food was so disappointing.

A minute after ordering the waitress brought our bill which was the first time ever. Food was good but she wanted us out which was obvious and this was at 6pm and we were the only customers.

Found this restaurant round corner from our hotel the food was super tasty and very good prices, this staff were lovely too definitely be back when we visit Blackpool again 🤤

We found this wee restaurant/ take away / delivery Chinese 4 years ago. We had stayed in The Brema Hotel opposite it. We looked at the reviews and thought that some were very harsh, so thought we'll give it a try. It was as good as we had remembered and the delivery was good timing. Salt & Chilli Wings were lovely, Chicken Fried Rice was tasty, as was Sslt & Chilli Chicken and Chicken chow mein. Staff were lovely on the phone too. THANKS.

A lovely step into China at extremely reasonable prices. Walking inside you are greated by very friendly owners and wonderful Chinese décor, this is a hidden gem in all sense of the word, not in the most ideal location but easily accessible to find, quick food to table after you order and extremely tasty, full plates! (Side note they was playing really nice music all the time we was there)

Food arrived about five minutes after i ordered, egg fried rice was cold and hard, egg was chewy. Mushroom curry was luke warm, very slimy and mushrooms were undercooked. Salt and pepper chips were disappointing, half cooked chips with chilli flakes on top. Worst chinese I have every ordered, most went in the bin. I will be pursuing a refund.

By far the best place to eat in the whole of Blackpool. Eat in or takeaway, this place never disappoints. The staff are always so lovely, delivery is super quick, especially considering we are near South Shore. We’ve never had a bad meal, quite often they will include extras. The kids meals are also absolutely spot on. We recommend Lucky House to everyone that asks, absolutely our go to takeaway and we can’t wait to have it again!

Ordered a family takeaway we use these quite often but this will be the last time absolutely disgusting food this place is going down hill a little Chinese boy sat on a iPad I take it it’s the owners son he is a very cheeky little boy while I was waiting for my order he asked me what I was looking at and continusely looking with a nasty face plus the women that was serving is very miserable and not very polite

Amazing food and customer service

Maybe they have had an off day but this was a wast of £50. Where to start, the starters where straight out of Iceland! Chicken wings dry and flavourless. The fried rice was slimy and had chicken that tasted like it was 3 days old and made of rubber. Basically if the food wasn’t frozen it’s over over cooked. Nothing from this takeaway was fresh.

Orderd for delivery chips where hard, salt and pepper chicken had no flavour to it as did the rest of my order, made me question if id lost my sence of taste but my friend also daid the exact same. Wouldnt order again awful

Walk in without booking, made very welcome, dining room very clean and tidy, service very quick and polite , we ordered to set meals for one person each, chicken curry, sweet and sour chicken balls, fried rice and spring rolls, very large portions could of ordered just one set meal and shared, Would recommend to friends and family if staying in Blackpool in the future NE HOW

Food was disgusting and the Owner was very rude to us.

The soup could of done with a little more seasoning, and the chicken & cashews was bland and the lack of cashews was disappointing.

A lovely restaurant located on Coronation Road away from the hustle and bustle of the main attractions. This is a small but friendly restaurant with a great ambiance fast and efficient service and fantastic authentic food. Very reasonably priced and well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Not really sure how you managed to cook salt and paper chicken, salt and pepper chips and chicken fried rice and then have it delivered to me within 9 minutes of me ordering the food. Not being funny but the food didn’t taste good at all and was binned.

Only problem we had was 1 wrong thing chicken in oyster sauce luckily no one was allergic to it we ordered chicken chow mien but did not ring to complain as never normally get things wrong very very nice food

Salt and pepper chicken was unfortunately awful. Looked like reheated, old chicken. Did not taste fresh and was swimming in grease. So bad in fact most of the meal was binned. Called to complain, told the food was cooked fresh and to bring back the food to the restaurant. We brought back what was left and got a measly £7-50 refund. No apology. What a complete farce. The food wasn't good enough guys - its that simple. Outside of that food was delivered quickly. Would not use again.

Great delivery time the food is always hot. I use this place mostly and never had any problems it's been late once out of the umpteen times I've used it but they were mega busy. Cannot fault it x

I wondered wether to order from here after the watered down curry and sweet and sour sauce we got last year when we were looking after a friends hotel (even though I have a hotel up the road). I walked in got "asked" if I was takeaway, and I said I was. The answer was wait at the counter she will take your order she has gone to the toilet. I have manners but I should not have bothered. It was like I was doing them a big injustice just by ordering. Be ready in 5 mins. PRECOOKED. Literally 5 mins later my order come out. Will not do it again. Cold from 1 min away. Hoteliers send business your way. Won't happen again and I will pass it on to everyone I know
