Lucky 8 in Luton

Home delivery so can't rate atmosphere. If I could give 10 stars I would. 2nd time we've ordered from here and both been good-a year apart. Last time I ordered garlic king prawns,very spicy but tasted fresh,not rubbery (but that's on me as I've never ordered that dish before). This time the beef in oyster sauce was magnificent,fresh tasting ingredients. Definitely a winner. Whole family were very happy and full from their meal: Chicken in black bean sauce Sweet and sour chicken balls Beef in oyster sauce Beef fried rice Singapore fried rice Chips Prawn crackers This maybe our forever go to takeaway. X

Everything was cold and tasted like salt

Ordered Chicken Chow Mein, Chicken Fried Rice, Chips, Pancake Roll & Curry Sauce. Everything except the pancake roll had way too much salt, one mouthful of the chicken fried rice must have had a large lump of salt in it as that was all I could taste. Wouldn't recommend this takeaway to anyone.

We looked about local places for takeaway meals as we’re working away this came up highly rated on just eat. We ordered food nearly 50 pounds worth the chips were clearly oven chips the salt and pepper chicken was cold and undercooked three of four sauces were cold the spare ribs tasted soggy and slimy the size of the chicken was like kids popcorn but smaller the rice was so undercooked pale no flavour frozen king prawns soggy also… highly unimpressed with this meal. Look somewhere else

Food was lovely. The man was very nice and friendly when me and my children arrived. He aloud the kids to play the piano while we waited for food. Chicken curry, plain rice, curry sauce, and Chowmain was all lovely.

Currently the Best Chinese in Luton! I don't write reviews but this place is amazing! Will be ordering again and trying out new items on menu! Thank you again for this experience!

Food was cold was over 2 hrs late and would like a full refund as guests missed there food due to late delivery and onward travel plans the whole evening was ruined as the family reunion was a disaster because of the food situation

A bit pricey, but the food from here is delicious! Much better than 'Yummy Yummy'; which is located on Park Street. Will order from Lucky 8 from now on. Friendly people.

Excellent service, food was awaesome and massive portions, delivery was very fast.

Beef curry and Kungpo prawn were so salty they were inedible..Egg fried rice resembled risotto..House noodles were ok

ordered a duck chow mein literally NO DUCK in it the rest of the food wasn't that great either

This shop was an absolute joke the portion sizes are tiny for the money paid and then when I went back to the shop to complain the owner was very rude and eventually attacked me but putting his hands around my throat avoid at all costs

although order was late the driver did apologise as the restaurant was extremely busy.food still hot aswell

Having to move on from ordering from Lucky 8, very sad. Their food is amazing, salt and pepper wings to die for and best hot and sour soup in a country mile. Unfortunately just can't ever order from them anymore. Every time I place an order, they accept it on just eat, then 10-15 minutes cancel it. Guess they could be busy but then why accept the order to begin with? Been this way for a few weeks now and can no longer get my favourite Chinese.

Every item including the rice and prawn toast was incredible salty made it inedible

No flavour In there food, all the chicken was the same apart from the sauce, the duck didn’t taste like duck, the beef taste like chicken the chicken taste like beef it’s all just a mess, avoid

They've changed recipes. We've ordered from here so many times and now not sure if we will be back. Two of our favourite dishes taste totally different now. The house special chow mein is now spicy, when it never used to be. It's not too hot, but it never used to be spicy at all and it totally changes the overall flavour. The hot and sour soup is now just spicy, vinegary and sweet. It used to be full of fragrance and depth, now it just tastes like sweet and sour sauce in soup form. Shame really as we love the food here.

Chips felt like it was microwave and breach of data protection act which theirs address on the wall next to the paino so personally I will not order food only pop in as data protection has been breached also the floors where dirty and also the women don't even smile when infront of customer not being rude but if customer are in you meant to be smiling

The meal was fantastic as always - delivered early, with a bon mot and a smile. I can’t recommend them highly enough !

Food is lovely but the place is filthy with dampness on the walls with loose plaster dirt on the floor and the same in the kitchen what a shame

The curry sauce was that salty it made my lips swell!!!

This is the worst Chinese food that I have ever had. The food was tasteless and the portions were extremely small. This was a bad experience.

Very tasty selection. Good deep fried chicken dumplings and Kung Po prawns especially, but all good.

Always get my chinese from Lucky 8, they are always earlier than the time says. Food is always hot and tasty, portions are great. Just an all round good chinese. Definitely worth it.

I got delivered wrong meal as part of my delivery

Tried to get a refund as the food was stale and clearly sat for a while. I was told by just eat that because you all use diffrent recipes that my food will be diffrent. So as I've been advised that this is your usual. I won't order again The chips were clearly old , £4.50 for a handful of chips that by the way is salt and garlic chips not salt a pepper. The rice was over cooked and mushy. The praw crackers were hard and stale. The sauce was more like vinegar than sweet and sour. But as advised. This is your usual and should be accepted.

The place provides no sirtting, only take away. The price was a bit steap for the size of the portion that was somewhat small and without some much required rice portion. But, that must be the best ever sweet & sower chicken I have ever had. Definitly recommended for take away.

The chips were anaemic and soggy, the soup had a couple of julienned carrots and no meat or prawns.

Salt and pepper chicken was completely dry and verry salted , we were feeling like we were eating stones !

I have had to put a complaint in as the sauce was pure jelly revolting not edible and the soup was like water.
