LS6 in Leeds

Having just seen the insta would like to say thank you to all staff past and present that have served me. Shame the owners have driven it into the ground.

Quick stop off for drinks. Excellent coffee and “proper” mint tea. Friendly service. Nice place. Food menu looks great too.

Great little cafe in the heart of Headingley I have visited a few times, usually just for a coffee. The staff are helpful and friendly, and the whole cafe is very clean Excellent choice of real coffee, which is obviously made with great quality ingredients

We ordered the pancakes with syrup&bacon expecting fluffy American style. Unfortunately they we’re around 3/4mm thick (crepe like depth) and very small (was 3 in total). They were cinnamon flavoured, but didn’t say that on the description. The bacon was 2 medallions. I’d say adequate for £1.55 extra. So for £7.65 it was extremely underwhelming. One of the group got a Yorkshire English breakfast, the beans and mushrooms were cold. The toast burnt and cold and not given butter initially. The cafe has a good reputation for its stylish interior and nice vibe but I believe the food was a disappointment. Thankfully the coffees were lovely and my 2 friends enjoyed their breakfast burrito.

Arrived at 9am as stated on the website to find out that the kitchen wasn’t open until 10am, although food was coming out of the kitchen to the staff ! We ordered drinks and at no time was we told that they was only offering a limited menu!! One of the reasons for visiting was because our daughter wanted the French toast ( this was not on the limited menu so we was disappointed).We was told by our daughter that the Yorkshire breakfasts was lovely as it has nice fresh bread, our breakfast did not have fresh rye bread as advertised on the make do menu! The breakfast was very quick from ordering but also luke warm which suggests this wasn’t cooked to order and was just being kept warm perhaps the chef needed the hour to cook it all on mass. I have to say we was looking forward to this breakfast after looking at the trip advisor review but on reflection I feel I should have stayed at my hotel and had the breakfast they was offering this breakfast was distinctly average perhaps students don’t expect a lot.

Visited for Saturday brunch and enjoyed fantastic food and a great buzzy atmosphere. Excellent services too !

Had lunch at this gem of a place today. The first impressions were really positive - a nice welcome and we were seated at a great table. We ordered the Eggs Benedict, poached eggs on smashed avocado toast and the chicken Caesar salad along with some drinks. We were all so impressed by the quality of the food and can’t fault the amazing service. We were given time to enjoy our meal and never felt rushed. It’s a really cool place in a good location and the staff are super friendly.

Loads of great options for food for veggies and vegans. Loads of cocktails, wine, beer, spirits and coffee selection . Service was good and food arrived really fast. Will definitely be back.

I visited the cafe with my friend and chose a sundae each. We were greeted by unenthusiastic staff, who were rather unhelpful and lacking manners. The waitress who spoke to us looked at us horribly, rather rudely. She then dropped the spoon from our food and rather than replacing the spoon right away, instead offered a napkin to clean the spoon with. We both chose the chocolate sundae and were very disappointed with the glassware, presentation and overall feel of the experience. We were presented with a juice glass from IKEA with a stale brownie and one scoop of ice cream. A rather disappointing visit after hearing such good reviews about this cafe. We will not be returning and was absolutely not worth our time.

This place is wonderful! Delicious and beautifully presented food and drink, lovely cosy atmosphere, friendly staff and quick service. Cannot fault it and would definitely come again. Highly recommend this amazing cafe. They have the best tastiest breakfast in town for sure, good portions and they’re always high end on the creativity of the plates. Service is 10/10 You couldn't ask for more

Bacon, hash browns and sausage obviously pre cooked and dropped in deep fat fryer. I know it is hard to find good chefs that you can afford but please do not accept this very poor standard of food you can do much better and have in the past. Very poor indeed.
