Overpriced full breakfast, on the plus side, very nice eggs and coffee was quite good. The bacon, not sure whether it was bacon or alternative bacon, sausage was edible but not great quality, toast was very hard. £21.95 for plate of breakfast and two cups of coffee, pretty steep in my book for something so unremarkable.

We chose this restaurant so that we could start at the top of Portobello Market and walk down. It was perfect. Service was friendly. The corn fritter stack was delicious and a nice change from the usual fare. The green breakfast was great to see after a vacation without a lot of fruit and veg. Such a cute neighborhood with great people and dog watching. The art on the lattes made us smile and gave a great start to the day. We all have different diets, and it was easy to find great choices.

We were seated outside ordering brunch. It was cold outside so after having passed the order, I just crossed the street to get in a very nice men’s shop to buy a pullover. I hade time to try several pullovers, time to discuss on the colors... It took me at least 45 minutes. Fearing that the food was already served I paid and got back to my seat but nothing had arrived yet! We still had to wait 40 more minutes to receive our drinks and ten more minutes for our food !! Enough time to get a nice cold !

Yeah this place is now on my sh1t list after last weekend. My friend and I stopped by here about 3pm last Saturday, where there were PLENTY of empty tables at the back and there wasn’t a queue. We were undecided on food or drink. Yet the woman at the counter said the tables were reserved for those eating brunch only. It was THREE O CLOCK FGS. Would be happy is this place closed.

Amazing little cafe. Lots of homemade stuff, from cakes to pancakes, harrisa to hollandaise, everything they serve were yummy. Great tasting Monmouth coffee, price is good considering the location. They do get quite busy especially during weekend, I can see the staffs are working extremely under pressure due to the size of the cafe, people need to show some appreciation, they are human just like us. Anyway, well done guys, keep up the good work. 😊

Ci sono tornata oggi e devo dire che la mia esperienza è stata completamente diversa rispetto alla precedente. Dopo esserci accomodati al tavolo, aspettiamo 20 minuti per ordinare e 40 per ricevere il piatto (una fetta di pane, due uova, un po’ di avocado e qualche verdura). Costo per due piatti 30 pound, un po’ caro rispetto a quanto mangiato e al servizio ricevuto. Non ci ritornerei.

My partner find this beautiful , cozy coffe shop in portobello market for my birthday since there we always love to come back!!! I came here several times last summer. I love the vibe, the service, the food and the neighborhood. I had the best Salad with chicken EVER and I dream of it. I also loved the breakfasts with lots of veggies.

Had eggs Benedict with streaky bacon. I usually hate streaky bacon, but this time I really enjoyed it and it was amazing! My friend had smoked salmon, which he said was amazing. The service was brilliant and the venue was small bit lovely. I’ll definitely be back again.

My partner and I sat down last sunday morning early and we ordered a coffee after a short wait for our order to be taken, I noticed inside was full of people ordering (and they were served above everyone else outside as time went on). We waited 10 mins and the server told us we cannot only order coffee if we want to sit down, we had to order food which we didn't want to. Then after agreeing to leave once the drinks arrived, we waited over 15 mins for everyone but us to be served, so we cancelled the order and left. Funny that another couple shared a pastry but they were allowed to sit down! So much for wanting to support a small business, they value money over their customers. Safe too say we wont recommend or be back there anytime soon!

Awesome location, wonderful coffee and outstanding service! We were quite boring, going for a latte and an Americano but the coloured drinks (the table next to us had a beetroot drink, bright pink and tasted nice and earthy according to our fellow customer) looked awesome. Their carrot cake is nice! Slightly too sweet and a bit expensive given the size of the slice, but the right amount of cream and moisture. Staff is friendly and make sure everything is Covid-safe.

If you like avocado, this is the place for you! I've been breakfasting here for years and it never disappoints. The portions are very generous, the staff are lovely and they always have a great playlist!

This is by far one of the my favorite places I have been to in London. It is a small cafe but so cosy and cute. The food was just AMAZING. The chef made it practically in front of us and you could see the care and love he put into the dishes. We had the Salmon Benedict and the Breakfast Special which was avocado toast, egg and chorizo. Fast service as well. Smoothies were great too. Highly recommend!

En la cima la calidad de la comida es muy superior a la de los otros lugares, la limpieza impecable y la presentación de los platos tratados como un restaurante de 5 estrellas. Very nice small place which has plenty of character. Few tables outside if it’s a nice day. Food was good and came out very quick. I had the avocado, salmon and egg on sourdough bread.

Imagine you wake up one day and you decide to call a bunch of friends and open a coffee shop in your own kitchen.. That it’s what I like to think happened to Lowry & Baker. When we arrived the place was packed and we’ve been offered to share a table with another couple that was waiting to be seated as well. It didn’t feel awkward at all, actually it felt as if we had all been invited at someone’s brunch party. They have a very colourful selection of ceramic plates and tea cups that captured my eye. The vibe was amazing, the food was outstanding, the staff very welcoming and polite. You can see they do their job with passion and you can feel the extra care they put in every single plate they prepare The magic happens right in front of you: the cooker, the ovens, the fridges, the juicer, they are all just there in a tiny little space with 5 super coordinate friends running around.It’s just so much fun, I personally loved it. I was so fascinated from what was going on behind the pass that I struggled to listen to my partner talking (don’t tell him :) ).

This place is very homey and offers an incredible and tasty experience for your morning. I heartily recommend. The coffee is great and the food is simply delicious and filling.

Nous nous promenions dans Notting Hill et j'ai trouver ce restau sur Google, nous y sommes aller et n'avons pas été déçus ! Il restait 1 table dehors, l'endroit est très petit. Le temps que notre commande arrive une table s'est libérée à l'intérieur et nous avons pris place. Nous avons pris un brunch avec 2 cocktails. La cuisine est ouverte et les repas sont préparés devant les clients. C'était délicieux, on s'est régalés ! Le personnel est très agréable et souriant. Je recommande cette adresse absolument !

We sat outside for brunch on a Saturday morning. There are probably places for ten people outside and afurther ten plus inside. Despite being small this place had a steady stream of customers all the time we where there. We chose toasted sandwiches and coffee. The food choice was good, vegan options and alternative milk was also available. Prices were very reasonable. Staff polite and efficient. There was free WiFi and also free water with coffee. Good spot to start shopping along Portobello Road or spend a relaxing time people watching.

This place is a very good place for brunch! I had an avocado toast which was very good. But the real star of the show for me was the iced matcha latte, made with coconut milk. It was delicious, would highly recommend. The staff was really friendly aswell

we used to go to this place to have brunch a few years ago. staff was nice and food good. i walked in there last week, ordered a coffee and a croissant. after 20 minutes, they asked me to change table. then 10 minutes later, i was asked if i wanted to order something more, i declined. then 10 minutes later, she asked again and said you have not ordered enough to stay more time. and she asked me to leave. looks like the staff/management has changed from a few years ago. You will be asked to order, eat quickly and leave in 30 minutes.

Scoperto questo posticino ci siamo tornati una seconda volta prima di tornare a casa. Personale gentile, luogo molto piacevole.. Piccolo ma ben curato, fiori freschi sui tavolini, bella musica di sottofondo.. Piatti e tazze classici ma originali! E il cibo è superlativo, preparato in modo semplice ma eccezionale, colazione ottima.. Pane tostato con ricotta frutta e bacon da provare! Lo consiglio assolutamente! Complimenti!

Got food for takeaway last Sunday. Although it’s a cramped and kitschy place, the staff was quite friendly. I ordered the falafel and quinoa salad and the artichoke, red pepper and Brie cheese sourdough sandwich. The salad for lunch a day later was great! Three crunchy, tasty falafels hit the spot. The dressing, which I had on the side, had a nice lemon flavour. The sandwich was a decent size for the price and the fillings were extremely tasty. This place would definitely be a favorite if I lived nearby!

This afternoon I popped into Lowry and Baker off of Golborne Rd for a quick lunch. The beef brisket with fried egg, avocado and home made horseradish on brioche was delicious. The staff (waitress and chef) were both professional and friendly and the music was on point. Would definitely recommend a visit.

I came for a solo brunch and was seated at the only solo table (an old school desk) it was so cozy! Perfect for a solo brunch! I got the smoked salmon eggs benedict. The whole dish was good, but the english muffin was SO good! I also ordered the turmeric chai latte. Turmeric can be a tricky ingredient - too much and it can taste earthy. That was the case here - so I can't recommend the latte, but the atmosphere, service, and the brunch as a whole more than made up for it.

This tiny little cafe serves the best coffee and breakfast ever. I’ve been here 3 days in a row. The food is sensational. Great presentation and very fresh and tasty. The staff are friendly and efficient. Coffees come out quickly and nothing seems too much. So refreshing.

Top quality food, super helpful staff, don't let their exterior fool you, once you had been there, you will not go anywhere else in that area. It is very warm, and welcoming cafe, absolutely loved it.Thumb up to the owners who work there 7 days a week, they put so much effort to make sure everything is top quality. That is probably why they are so popular among locals and tourist. Try their breakfast special or the green special with homemade pesto, yummy! They had the best poached eggs so far I had in London.

Este es un lugar pequeño pero estupendo para el desayuno y el almuerzo. El menú no es tan grande o variados, pero lo que ofrecen es muy agradable. Los cafés son muy buenos y el servicio es fantástico. El personal es siempre muy acogedor y atento. Este es mi sitio al que ir si estoy en la zona. Recomendado, pero ten en cuenta que conseguir una mesa en los períodos puede ser difícil debido a su tamaño. Mi única crítica se relaciona con los cuchillos que te dan con su comida, que no estaban lo suficientemente precisa. . A veces tienes que luchar para reducir el muffins o cualquier otros platos que tienen pan como parte de la comida.

Popped in for a quick coffee after being sent here by a local. Wow. The place was entirely empty expect one customer on their way out.I wasn't greeted or even acknowledged for a good few mins. It wasn't until my glaring stare at the staff was I actually spoken to. (I was actually about to walk out and go elsewhere!) The coffee was good, strong and satisfying but not enough for me to go back and be subjected to such mediocre treatment by the staff. I don't ask for much but a smile, good morning, even a hello would suffice. Other coffee shops nearby were packed, perhaps this is why.

Small and quirky little spot for lunch! While service isn't fast, the staff are a small team and really put the effort into the food - so is fantastic quality!

I've just tried this place for the first time (must have walked past it 50 times) and had an amazing banana cake. I'm actually hesitant to write a review because I don't want anyone else to go and steal it from me. I didn't think the staff was rude but I didn't really pay attention (so they were not openly rude for sure). We went there in the middle of the afternoon so we didn't wait. Definitely a great afternoon hang out spot (it's tiny so I'm sure it gets very crowded at brunch time)

Tiny and cozy place with casual and friendly atmosphere (and old good music helps here). Amazing poached eggs, yummy homemade cheescake and very good coffee. Your meal will be cooked with smile and in singing mood that is always half of a success. Just mind that it can be a bit smoky from stove so your clothes might keep that (nice) baked&fried smell after. But anyway I love this place and definitely will come back.

Coffee stone cold as are the staff!! I work and live locally, so I know there are so many really good coffee places around them. They should sort themselves out! If I was the owner I would sack the lot of them soooooo rude! Or maybe the owner is one of those rude staff!

Sabato mattina arriviamo a Portobello direttamente con borse da viaggio e quant'altro. Leggiamo bene di questo posto e decidiamo di provarlo. Brunch. Ordiniamo due brunch con salmone, caffè e te. Ore 13:20. Alle 14:30 le persone che si sono sedute di fianco annoi mezz'ora dopo si trovano il piatto davanti e noi ancora niente. Chiediamo informazioni e si scusano. Così ci offrono dell'altro beveraggio. Ordiniamo di nuovo caffè e te, e invece arriva un latte caldo. Che nessuna di noi poteva bene, lo rimandiamo indietro. Finalmente alle 14:45 mangiamo. Bella location. Ottima posizione. Peccato per il sevizio caotico. E inoltre metterei una cappa nel locale, non si respirava per il fumo della cucina e a un certo punto hanno aperto la porta per fare girare l'aria con fuori 2 gradi e noi desolate e affamate in mezzo alla corrente.

On a recent visit home this stands out as a lovely café for a well made coffee and catch up with friends! Loved the décor and very yummy sweet treats! Coffee was very good and service was good, could clearly see the staff were very busy however I don't feel the service suffered and we really enjoyed this place.

I was quite shocked to troll through some of the negative reviews here, then again, everyone has bad days ☹️My experience was very much the opposite. I felt I had walked into a café that had been tailor made for my friend and I. Though the service might appear brusque initially, with some patience and a bit of conversation I found my server to be open and delightful, as were the other staff, despite being extremely busy and clearly working to the max ( this place packs them out!). She suggested we leave our food up to the cooks and am I glad we did! Homemade green chile Harissa with organic chorizo , perfect eggs and lemony guacamole all piled on homemade sourdough toast. My friend ordered a special dish inspired by the flavours of the Middle East with sumac, za'atar , Labneh and fresh herbs. Completely Devine and all made by their staff in the kitchen, a rarity in most small cafes it seems. I could go on about the peerless coffee (Monmouth, of course) and the stunning pumpkin cheesecake (heaven) but I'd rather end my review with a thank you to this place for its eclectic originality and creative vibe, a true gem in an otherwise mostly commercial area.

Terrible experience. Extremely poor customer service and mediocre food. We waited 15 minutes for two cold coffees to arrive and about 30 minutes for overdone, overpriced poached eggs on toast. We were sat at the back amongst a load of boxes, one of which was a package the server began to unpack. When asked to make coffee by the manager, he replied that he had "made enough coffee this morning" and the customers had only just ordered and could therefore "wait". One member of staff spent most of the time on her phone. Upon complaining, the manager did not even make eye contact and didn't apologise once. Will never go back especially as there are a plethora of better places nearby.

Nous nous sommes régalés . Accueil sympathique . Le gâteau à la banane comme le gâteau au chocolat sont excellents. Un très bon moment.

Druk, klein, smal, niet echt schoon, ongeinteresseerde bediening. Eten goed, granola goed, gepocheerde eieren met bacon en avocado prima.

We had a huge group of 30+ people and the incredibly friendly staff catered for all of us with fantastic food. Well cooked duck, nice couscous and a lot of delicious side dishes. Often when you're cooking for big groups it's easy to make tasteless and overcooked dishes but not here. Atmosphere, size and decor is really cosy. Highly recommended!

Warm welcome in this small, but cosy café in Nothing Hill. They serve outstanding coffees and tasteful breakfast & lunch dishes.
