Low Slow & Dough in Wirral

Popped in here for a vegan burger and fries, unfortunately they were both not hot at all, just luke warm. We should have said, but didn't mention until we were paying. The front of house staff were amazing and so so helpful, even ordered us a taxi.

This place is absolutely gorgeous. The food and cocktails were exceptional and the staff were amazing. We were also really pleased with the value for money and the atmosphere. Definitely somewhere we’ll be visiting again and recommending to all of our friends and family 🙌🏼

Definitely a 5 ⭐ review from me. Don't say this lightly but that was as good a burger as I've had that last night. Servers were great, had a bit of a laugh with them etc... Vibe is cool and the location spot on. My only criticism is the no fries with a 17£ burger. Even if it was a smaller portion than the side plate I feel fries have to be in the with the burger. Can't wait to come back that said. Good job 👍

This place is absolutely wonderful! The vibe is great, the staff are lovely, and the food is to die for! They even play fabulous music 😃. The vegan burgers are so tasty, and the cocktails are exquisite! Callum is a lovely dude and keeps you refreshed at the bar, slinging out drinks like a mofo! Absolutely and totally recommended 🥰.

Really great burger place. Staff were really friendly and helpful, food was excellent and the portion size was great. The location in Oxton village was a really pleasant surprise as we had no prior knowledge of the area.

Bit of a mixed night for us. The mushroom starter was truly awful but redeemed by very tasty burgers all round. Beer and wines were good, but disappointed to hear 'no cheesecake' when we tried to order. Could have done without the smell the ciggie smoke blowing in from the kitchen door when the kitchen lads were enjoying a break, then very surprised by the unexpected 10% service charge which appeared on the bill. Not cheap either, so overall, I'm not sure we'll rush back.

One of the better burger places around, nice staff and easy to choose from menu. Will be back again for another.

Came here with my wife for our 8th year wedding anniversary. Was disappointed that they wasn't serving tacos because they only had one chef on. They also ran out of shrimp beef briscut and discontinued the Mexican jarritos. Overall the food we had ordered was gorgeous and didn't put me off returning.

As you can see by the photo the food got eaten before the missus could take a photo. That itched parts of my body I didn’t know existed 5/5 and probably the best food on the Wirral

Booked for My partners birthday, booked through email due to the party size of originally 10 and then they happily added 2 more guests last minute. Tom and the staff were great, no messed up orders, all the food came out smoothly, had no issue with my two young boys sharing a meal and Happily done brought the birthday cake out I provided too. Thank you.

Unfortunately, we only had drinks as we received a phone call that our daughter was unwell. However, the staff in particular, Tom, were very accommodating and helpful. Our drinks were great and we definitely plan to be back to actually eat the food this time!

We just had small plates and nachos but they were all nice. The buffalo chicken was a bit hot for me but my husband loved them. The oyster mushroom wings and Mac and cheese croquettes were particularly nice. I was happy with size of my cocktails

What a lovely place to eat. We went on a Wednesday afternoon and though it was almost full seating downstairs it didn't feel crowded and the atmosphere was good, the only issue I found was that the music was slightly too loud, my partner disagreed though! So obviously a personal preference. Service was exceptional, all the staff knew exactly what they were doing, orders taken quickly and efficiently, food came in very good time, we had the birria tacos, dirty cow nachos and the burnt ends small plate and they were all spectacular, for pudding we had the house cheesecake which was a white chocolate milky way - probably the best cheesecake I've had in my entire life. We had two cocktails each the house marg and the spiced marg and both were delicious and came promptly. Over all experience was amazing, didn't feel rushed to leave, bathrooms were clean and tidy, staff were polite and very friendly, price for the food was good. 9/10 would eat here again tonight without a second thought!

Great burgers and just as important were the great staff. Very welcoming of a family of four with 4 and 5 year olds. The kids are already insisting we go back.

This place is absolutely fab. Food is fresh and delicious and the staff are brilliant. They have a ridiculously good lunch/ early doors deal running at the moment (beat the clock) which I’d highly recommend. The churros are well worth indulging in and try the loaded tots….

Second visit here and it didnt disapoint. We both had burgers and shared a Bang Bang Shrimp. Food was gorgeous, everyone is really friendly and the background music is fab. Great place for a relaxed evening out

Service was really good but the star of the show was the food. Chicken tenders were amazing and the burgers are delicious. Great selection of beers and the margaritas are better than mine!! Can’t wait to go again.

This is our second time back to Low Slow and Dough and it’s still just wow. The vibe is just permanently chilled, the staff are just amazing and they make you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. Gorgeous beer/larger selection, we favour the LS&D pint, and the Mexican bottled beer. The food is just 10/10 every time. Super juicy, tasty, and cooked to perfection every single time. We love this place, it’s our date night go to place and we can’t wait to come back soon! Thanks guys!

Had the best the clock menu which was incredibly good value. Two of us had GF burgers and the quality of both the burgers and buns were amazing. Genuinely don’t get better burgers than those in LS&D. Very helpful and attentive staff. Highly recommended this restaurant, never had a bad meal here.

We had a fab night tonight great atmosphere lively soon as you walk in, very welcoming, staff fab, advised us on menu as we couldn’t decide . We had several small plates a bit of everything and it was just all so delicious and just enough too. Definitely be back can’t wait to try the rest of the menu …. And their famous burgers they looked amazing. Great addition to Oxton village.

Amazing burgers. Stumbled across this late Saturday afternoon. The staff were so welcoming, clearly enjoying providing a wonderful dining experience for their customers. The set menu was great value for money. We will be back !!

Excellent food but I really take exception to the service charge being added to the bill. I know a lot of places do this these days but personally, its enough to put me off going somewhere. You're not entitled to the tip so don't presume people want to give it.

Incredible gem, you will not find a better burger place on the Wirral. Staff are beyond wonderful, the food menu is super inclusive and served beautifully. Beef quality was heavenly, compliments to the chefs. Cocktails were some of the best I’ve had, and the entire atmosphere created by the staff is one of a kind. The whole experience was perfect.

Recently booked Low Slow and Dough for a 30th birthday party. The staff were very attentive, food came out quickly and was hot and delicious! Only got nice things to say about this place. Great cocktails too!

The fish tacos are amazing fresh tasting white fish with all the appropriate accompaniments, nachos are perfect for sharing, salty, full of chicken (our choice , others available) and loaded with creama and pico Last visit we had burgers and I have travelled extensively and I can honestly say that the burger I had with habanero jam was OUTSTANDING, ( sorry cant remember the name) We will keep this as a firm family favourite for us and travel 40 minutes to visit as the food is that fresh, tasty and well worth the drive, OHHHHH nearly forgo DO NOT VISIT WITHOUT GETTING A PORTION OF BURNT ENDS BRISKET!!!!!!!!!!! BEAUTIFULLY juicy chunks of smoked brisket that is simply an art to be able to cook so good Good selection of beers and wine And cocktails are available Last visit we were served by Mikey who was great full of recommendations and information about the menu and beers on offer, And Tom one of the owners I think is always popping over to see if everything is satisfactory food wise and if everything is okay for my son, FANTASTIC place and we are looking forward to going this weekend Keep up the great work

After having had a few issues in the past this time it was a great experience and the Hot Vegan was so nice! Good to see theyve listened to feedback too and changed the name of the Hot Vegan as it used to have the same name as a burger on the meat menu which led to confusion last time and i ended up having the meat version by mistake so I am really impressed this time! The cocktails are amazing too! My only down point is how loud it was. But that was mainly all the people there as it was busy cos its so good! The music could be turned down a bit though. Is it quieter upstairs? If so can I go up there next time?

Visited for the Valentine's special and it was delicious!!! Steak and veggies cooked perfectly, amazing dipping sauce, insane pud! We had our baby with us and they made sure we had plenty of space. The two chaps who served our drinks/food were just lovely, especially the guy who welcomed us, he took pride in how the restaurant looked, constantly keeping on top of the tables, and making sure everything consistent with a smile. Cocktails were lush (blueberry margs <3). We’ve ordered delivery from LSD in the past too, couple of burgers and tater tots, fit!

Really glad I found low slow and dough on Instagram the food and service absolutely spot on. smoke house burger and loaded fries highly recommend one of the best burgers I've had and the cheese cake was special will definitely be back 👌

This place is all round fantastic. It’s spotlessly clean, burgers are the best I have ever tasted, atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff go over and above to make sure your every need is catered for … it was definitely a place to return too … in fact we booked again before we left.

Not cheap. Menu limited. Best atmosphere downstairs. Staff excellent.

Starters were undersized, overpriced and very average. Burgers were ok, but better at fat hippo, GBK or honest burger. Too expensive for what it is. We payed £13 for 3 tacos which barely had any filling and tasted like something you could manage at home with little effort. Nachos came in a little bowl with not enough topping.

We came here for a family & friend Christmas meal. The whole experience was excellent, from the food to the staff we couldn't fault it. We where a part of 11 on a Saturday night, we did secret Santa and the even did some last minute changes for us as we pre ordered and it was no issue for them at all. I ordered delivery from Uber Eats and it was amazing! I was so surprised to be honest as getting food delivery is hit and miss but wow is this my new favourite burger place! I had a bacon cheese burger and tatter tots, my partner had the smoke house burger. Definitely ordering from here again!

Visited for the first time tonight, we've been excited to go since Low Slow and Dough opened as its really local and looks lovely decor wise. We ordered a bacon cheese burger, vegan corn dogs and jackfruit tacos, the burger was perfect and the tots that it was served with tasted homemade and better than most. The corn dogs were nice enough and the chilli dip it came with was amazing. Unfortunately the tacos had a large amount of coriander in which wasn't stated on the menu (it was stated on the sweet potato tacos which is why I didn't order those) for me this ruined the taste completely as I cannot stand coriander. The staff were very kind but did not offer to rectify this in any way so I picked around and ate some of the plate but left around half of it because it was so unpleasant to me. We likely won't be visiting again as leaving a restaurant hungry after paying a decent amount has left me feeling a bit rubbish. It's a massive shame as I say my partner loved the burger and the place really is stunning but I can't justify going out to eat at a nice restaurant if the menu doesn't reflect the food and when pointed out, not being offered an alternative.
