Brilliant place for a large family gathering, staff were wonderful and atmosphere lovely

Owner was so rude. We had booked but still attempted to move our table twice. Awful can't rate the food as we left without eating. Terrible. Not worth a star

Printing shop I use regularly on Smithdown road recommended this restaurant to me. I had lovely evening with my parents and we really enjoyed our meals. Everything is freshly cooked,tasteful and big portions.

Another Greek restaurant canceled on us half an hour before we were due - rang Yiamas and they fitted 15 of us in last minute. Food was gorgeous as ever.

Very welcoming and friendly staff. Made you feel welcome and not pushy by trying to get you to buy drinks. An extensive menu featuring all the Greek favourites. We ordered the sharing platter with a starter. The waiter did say we didn't need the starter as everything was included with the platter. Most waiters would just take your order and not say a thing. As to the meal, it was excellent. Can thoroughly recommend this taverna, a great place to visit if you get a chance.

Beautiful restaurant. The food is always of the highest quality and genuinely delicious. And the staff are friendly and respectful and are always willing to help and can accommodate depending on the needs of your group. Been many times before and have never had an issue. Would highly recommend.

A hidden gem on the way to the ferry. Lovely food, friendly service and good value. The kebabs and roast potatoes were very good.

This was our first visit to this restaurant. The food was lovely, we ordered moussaka and a mixed grill which was really good. Service was excellent staff very friendly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will be visiting again.

One of my favourite restaurants! Food, atmosphere and staff are always amazing! We always have the Greek Meze. Everything tastes delicious and very reasonably priced. We were in Friday evening and Andy the owner was very attentive and welcoming as always.

A real find for great value supper en route to the ferry in Birkenhead Slightly difficult to find but owner guided us to the car park Food was very tasty - early bird supper of starter and main course for £15.95 fantastic value With extra starter ( not needed in the event !) 3 glasses of wine and a tip total bill £50 for two Heartily recommended if travelling on overnight ferry to Belfast

Stopped off here as a result of excellent Tripadvisor reviews and wasn’t disappointed. It’s in an odd stop at the bottom of a pretty grubby lane, but once you see past that, it’s great. An extensive menu, with a £15 weekday dinner is super value. large portions and all perfectly prepared. Staff are accommodating & very chatty. I’ll definitely visit again when I’m next passing.

Our favourite Greek outside of the Greek islands itself, we have been coming here for over 20 yrs and still love it as much as the first time we came. Ate here on christmas eve with our family. Although it was christmas eve they still allowed to choose for the set early bird menu which was excellent value for money. Been here a few times always had great food and service.

This place is SO good!! Went here this evening for a birthday meal. Two of our table of 4 were fussy eaters, and one vegan (me). Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves, so much so that we are already planning our next visit. Three got steak, and I got a mix of dishes including, Briam, rice, chips, salad, plaki, and spinach parcels with dips and olives. I was so pleased with the vegan options as we've eaten in other Greek restaurants and not had a great choice for all of us. This place ticks every single box. The portions were large and we have brought some home to eat tomorrow. Those homemade chips were so good! The venue is lovely. It feels cosy and authentic, and is spotlessly clean. There is parking at the venue or at the street next to it so it's handy to drive there. The staff are so attentive, and there was nothing that was too much to do for us. Absolutely wonderful and made us feel so welcome 😊 Top marks for everything here. I highly recommend a visit. Thank you for a great evening! See you again very soon!

We had vegetarian Moussaka and Spanakopita. Both dishes were lovely and served with rice and very delicious potatoes as side dish.

What a hidden gem the Yiamas is! You step inside and feel like you’ve been transported to Cyprus! The staff are so friendly, amazing with recommendations and really look after you. My chicken kebab was juicy & tender and the lemon potatoes are to die for! All food was fresh, tasty and portion sizes were huge. There were clean plates all round and we all absolutely loved it. Ive been recommending you to everyone and will be back again soon!

I came here last week with my Grandma for her 89th birthday and to say I was shocked is an understatement! They told her to get out of her wheelchair and run to the table.. One of the servers then pushed her out of the wheelchair into a pool of cooking oil. I will be reporting this to the local council.

I have to say the atmosphere, service and food are all a 10 out of 10 . I used to go eat here regularly as teen with my family, however Havnt been for 6+ years I went for a 3 course meal tonight ( end of august ) & I already can’t wait to go back. Food is very presentable generous sizes & tastes so so good. Service is brilliant - from my experience , very well mannered younger guy & a very funny & chatty older guy! No other word for it, except *superb*. The Greek food is absolutely exceptional. We tried the Fillo Feta Parcels, the Greek salad, pitta bread and Moussaka. The restaurant was really busy, but the team managed to fit us in and seat us at a nice table, take our orders and serve the food quickly and efficiently. Tremendous food, great service, excellent value.

Was quite noisy on arrival. Some girls voices really piercingly loud, laughing and talking over each other. Think a little too much drink may have been the cause. When they left it was lovely. There was still talk and laughter but on an acceptable level plus, you could hear the music. Food was nice and hot, good wine and well priced. 3 starters, 4 mains, a bottle of wine, 2 lemonades £88. Great atmosphere after the noise left. We've been before but were disappointed so thought would try again. 1st time a glass of milk was sour so asked for a fresh one. Same bottle used so still sour. Put other peoples food on our table for 5 minutes then took it to other table after some of it was eaten.
