Lotus Takeaway in Manchester

Failed to deliver our order. Was on the phone with the driver for 25 minutes when he was trying to find the address (despite me giving it to them on uber eats) and then he just gave up and cancelled the order. Shambolic. Shame on them.

Worst Chinese takeaway I’ve ever had.The rice was burnt.

These latest reviews are a joke honestly these were a joke 2'' long and tasteless spring rolls x3 £4.30, that goes for the most vile curry sauce, the salt n pepper ribs were so dry you couldn't snap the meat off the bones, i also ordered the Singapore fried rice it was tasteless , now Singapore fried rice should have red and green Chilli in it their was none. total bill price £25.10, but Uber had to add their bit on to the bill total charged £30.11

Ordered for first time tonight, collected within 10 mins. Portions were good size and super nice spice. Curry sauce was best I’ve ever had in Manchester. Will get again

I would not recommend. If I could give it less than 1 star I would. Gave me and the two others I ate with food poisoning.

Ordered for the first time on Uber as there was an offer. Great food! Generous portions, ordered Black Bean and Szechuan and both had a good amount of meat (not just onions and peppers like some). Also ordered the Crispy Assorted Dim Sum Special which was great value and had the thickest Prawn Toasts I've ever had! Definitely worth every penny and will be ordering again

Really expensive. And not good. They got the order totally wrong and didn’t offer to reimburse. £5 for a tiny portion of salt and pepper chips. £4.30 for 3 spring rolls which tasted like playdough. King Prawns were tasteless. Didn’t even get prawn crackers included in a £45 order. Very disappointed.

Absolutely love Lotus, the service and food excellent, I've been going to lotus for at least 15 years, the staff are really lovely and so nice.

Can't fault anything we've ever ordered. All really fresh and tasty. Our No. 1 go to.

Prices have sky rocketed! You expect a slight increase given the current cost of living but £38.50 for what usually is a £27 takeaway is ridiculous! If anything we ordered less than usual. The food is good here but putting the prices right up without informing customers isn't fair

(Posting as a mother) They just called my sons mobile, we live over 250 miles away from Manchester, so called to ask why they had called and let them know this is a minors mobile number. In return I got ignores, phone hung up and refused to answer why they had called my son. I wasn't rude just wanted to know who they was and let them know. In the times we live in , we can't be too careful, I did ask them to communicate with me why they had called. They refused to communicate with me, and of it was a shear accident then all they had to say was, sorry wrong number, but nothing.

We have been going to lotus for over 20 year's. We absolutely love the food and staff. I highly recommend the chicken and sweet corn meal 😋

Lovely taste ,but don't say it's char Sui pork when it's Obviously chicken , just change the menu people really don't mind 🤦

The salt and pepper chips could be the best ones I’ve tasted within a Few mile radius. I really like the won ton soup. I’m not a great fan of Chinese food so everything else I’ve ordered has been a bit mediocre. They make the food super fast! Very hard working take away but sadly the food is so hit and miss.

Good food at good prices cooked whilst you wait. Good varied menu.

Awful. First time I've been to this place and all I got was an appetiser but the ribs were awful and tasted like they had been cooked a good while before - the portion size was awful for the price (£1 a rib) and yeah I won't be going there again...

Always get Chinese take out from here. No where else is better in south Manchester.

Best Chinese I've had in Manchester. Crispy chicken in OK sauce highly recommended. Friendly staff. Best kept secret in south Manc.
