Lotus House in Huntingdonshire

Food was good but arrived over an hour and a half after we ordered it, with one item incorrect. When we called to complain and ask for a partial refund on the missing item, we were told the best they could do was offer a free dish on the next order. A shame because we won't be ordering again.

The food is extremely fresh and so flavourful, and the staff friendly.

I've had better from there. Chicken balls were definitely reheated.

Consistently good food served fast. Always a favourite.

They must keep changing chefs every time their food is different last time it was terrible reheated and covered in soy sauce as not make it fresh

set off the main town center run with a 4* hygiene rating food is prepared quickly. orders for take away delivery drivers are also prepared and dispatched via the various home delivery opparaters around town, the waiting area is clean and tidy with a bench seat or stand and wait. a comprehensive menu and set meal options are available and pricing is fair. wheelchairs users will struggle to enter the door due to narrow street location and parked cars and delivery collection vehicle's alongside a narrow footpath outside

Worst Chinese I have ever had. Don’t bother. The food is shocking . Less grease in a bottle of sunflower oil 👎👎👎

Went here last night for some king prawn rice, excellent customer service, really nice people inside which made the atmosphere enjoyable. Was also reasonably priced too and the food was really flavourful 5*+++++

Always use this take away. Food tastes great. Portions are generous. Sometimes delivery times can be a bit lengthy but food has never arrived cold. Recommend a try.

I was away with work in a local hotel and did not fancy paying ridiculous prices for a burger. So called here for food to take back to the room. Customer service was great, very friendly and welcoming. Ordered salt and pepper chicken and spare ribs in Bbq sauce and very nice it was aswell. I will defo be returning next time I'm down here.

Small Chinese takeaway that delivers around the local area. There is always plenty with their dishes but in my opinion a little expensive for some of the dishes. But very tasty

Food 20 mins late and when called would not talk or offer any compensation. All I could hear is the staff shouting in the background. I would not recommend this restaurant at all as would also question how they treat staff never mind customers

Food turned up 25 minutes late and not all that. When I called to ask where the food was all I got was ‘oh it’s on its way’ when questioned why late was shrugged away. Therefore asked compensation and they refused to speak to me and staff were shouting in the background Will never order from this place again

Used to be good, now very poor. Chicken balls cooking varies. Had to throw most of last order away as dangerously undercooked. Bland burnt noodles in too much oil Rice often burnt and always flavourless This is based off past 3 months. Often seems rushed and thrown out the door. Shame really as used to be the premier takeout in St Neots

Good food but have consistently forgotten items of my order despite delivery and collection methods. Both times they offered very little help and recompense for the inconvenience. Very disappointed with Lotus House.

Do not order from here, delivery took way longer than they said and called to just be repeatedly told it was out for delivery when it clearly wasn't. Took well over an hour and a half when they originally said 40 mins. Definitely avoid if you can

Nothing special about the special fried rice. Just rice and a few peas. Hardly any meat

Lotus House is a great establishment. The food is always delicious and the menu has a lot of choice. Their delivery time is always good and the food is still hot. Highly recommended :)

Great service tonight ordered on the App at 5.10 and finished eating it by 5.45 😀 very fast service and pipping hot

The Google website was linking to the wrong take away, menu looked the same so we had no way of knowing as didn’t check contact us page weirdly because found website on Google and just assumed new look menu with new colouring. Despite being linked clearly to same company and the website being on Google to the wrong Lotus House we can’t get a refund on the items placed. So no food and out of pocket with zero customer service. Be careful if you order online. Now magically the website updated again but yet they know nothing of the error.

Used many times before for delivery. Placed an order online (as usual) this evening only to get a message saying you are too far away for delivery and your payment will be refunded in 3 to 5 days! Not happy 😡

Best bar-b-que spare ribs in Town big and jusy full of meat unlike some others were all you get is a little bit of meat and all bone. And I don't know where Martin Land is coming from with his review must have got mixed up with another Lotus House brcause 01480 is a Huntingdon number not a london number

Nice takeaway but just lately they have been slipping. My order tonight- beef and chicken dry chow mein, really nice. Sweet and sour chicken balls..... BURNT not so good. Chips........ Passable but not great, a bit well done. Chicken balls have been like this before so won't be ordering them again! Not all doom and gloom, alot of the menu is very nice.

WARNING: Do not under any circumstances order online from this establishment. This is a scam, pure and simple. I paid (and it has been debited to my card) and when we went to collect it they denied having received the order or the payment. Look very carefully at their website and you will see it has a London Phone Number!

Me and the Mrs ordered a Chinese from here and they said it would be about 45 mins. It turned up with in 8 mins how they cooked it in that time 🤷‍♂️. Some of the food was not up to standard I only asked for a part refund they heavily declined. Customer service not up to standard

Portions always good price no difference as most take aways limited parking an issue . Most dishes full of flavour beef chewy in most dishes and ribs over cooked even with a sauce . But take away itself is one of the better ones around and I always go back and order from lotus .

I always get a very good service when I buy from here. The lad on the counter at the weekend, Sam is always very polite and helpful, especially when I can't decide what I'd like. I'm a pescatarian, so often order the Thai king prawn curry all the salt and pepper prawns or Tofu which is always very nice. Recommend.

We’ve had a couple of takeaways from Lotus House. 1st meal was great, however the 2nd meal had a missing item. I will go back, however I’ll check my order before I leave. Update. I'm no longer going to this takeaway. They have on numerous occasions got the order wrong, which beggars belief when the orders are mostly just for 2 people. In a time when allergies are making headlines, they don't seem to grasp the importance of checking the order when between it being taken through to completion. Good luck getting hold of the manager. They put the young lad on instead.

My family loves this place, it is the best chinesse take away we have tried in the UK in 5 years! The chicken in lemon sauce is superb, so nice and tender!!

Chicken chow mein was watery and greasy, sweet and sour vegetables had veg which looked like they were 2 weeks old, mini spring rolls were dry and no taste. Beef curry was the best thing, I think we threw more away than we actually ate and it cost us almost £30. Won't be having food from there again. Very disappointed

First time ordered from the Lotus House as we normally go to the China Dragon or Yumi-Yumi however we received their new menu through the post and thought we'd give them a try as the prices were cheaper too. It's always a risk trying somewhere new as we tend to stick with what we know however THIS WAS THE BEST CHINESE WE HAVE EVER HAD!! The delivery time was spot on and the food was piping hot, we both have a chow-mein and it was the best we have ever tasted, it was so juicy and flavorsome and the duck spring rolls were filled to perfection. Will definitely be using the Lotus House from now on!

The best Chinese take away in St Neots!

I don’t live in the area but was staying at a local hotel, phoned for my order to be delivered and asked specifically if they could provide a receipt and was told yes no problem. When the food arrived the driver hadn’t been gievn a receipt, he was very polite and said for me to call the shop back and ask if he could leave me his delivery slip (which was almost like a receipt) but the women said not possible and she’d forgotten to give receipt and if I still wanted it I’d have to drive and get it!! Not at all apologetic, so I said to take the food back (may have been great food but I’ll never know) but poor service from the women on the phone. Clear English speaking, so doubt it was the owner.

Poor service with rude employees and bad communication. The order was over 2 hours late. And when arrived chicken balls were raw and arrived with no sauce. The chips were stone cold. We then rang them and they told us that there was nothing they could do and with a 30 minute phone call they began to tell us all different things such as paying for delivery when we already had payed £38. They told us they were only sending out chicken balls which left the rest of the food stone cold. The food got all sent back. We then waited another hour as they said food was being sent out and we rang them back and they said they was not turning out to us again and hung up whenever we tried talking to them. Never ordering from here again !!

Probably the worst chinese meal I have tasted for a very long time. Bland and greasy, plus the rice had so obviously been cooked earlier and heated up to order. Egg fried rice I think not. Also a few bits of brocolli and onions is not beef and stir fried vegetables. Thought I would try it after the new menu was delivered. Never, never again. A shame as the original Lotus House was fantastic. So sad but happy to cross town to get a decent chinese meal. Avoid!
