THIS PLACE HAS GONE WAY DOWN HILL . Awful food. 😖 , chips tasted like they were 5 days old. The food was bland. , and the pancake roll was swimming in Grease. I mean swimmin. , turned me sick 😫 👎

Just had food from here everything burnt even the soya gravy Been very ill after it vomiting and stomach cramps. Won’t have food from there again 😡

Missed special fried rice of the order .got home before we realised.

I've been going to this place for 20+ years. Good quick service, consistently good food - what more do you want from a Chinese?!

The man can be rude and abrupt. Lady much nicer. Food on whole is very nice. Curry very spicy. Chicken balls dry and spongy but crispy outer Fried rice really good not greasy nicest around. Shame curry too spicy as didn't use to be as used to go weekly after night class in college sir gar. But nicest chinese on whole in Llanelli and tried them alll!!!

Used to be 10/10 and our favourite takeaway. Now unfortunately 2/10. Portions have been cut, standards have dropped, less chicken in the curry and more onions instead, service horrendous waiting 45mins longer than collection time provided. Won't ever go here again. What a shame!!!

The food here is pretty good most of the time, however tonight I ordered the chicken in lemon sauce as usual but the majority of the chicken was so tough it was inedible. We placed an order at 6:30pm and were told it was a 20 minute wait - 50 minutes later we received our food. They don’t start cooking it until you have paid so would recommend going down asap or even placing order in store. Watched a guy place 2 big orders in store and walked out 10 minutes later with his bags - despite placing his order 20 minutes after our telephone order. This is a frequent occurrence, so be prepared to wait double or near triple the time you were quoted unless you go down straight away.

Really disappointed with takeaway, Chicken inedible hard as a rock. Bought a family meal spent 38 pound couldn't eat it.

Having always ordered from Lotus so disappointing to have a meal that was incorrect and the food substandard- tasted burnt. Called to politely explain and was basically told to enjoy and had phone out down on us. Understand this business was busy at this time of year- however very rude and dismissive on phone. After all these years will not be returning.

Food is good. Telephone orders are a waste of time now. They don't put the order in until you arrive and paid so no point in phoning in your order

What’s happened this used to be my favourite takeaway. Tonight however, egg fried rice was so dry it came out of the carton in one piece, and so so dry. The crispy beef was, tough and even with my own teeth I couldn’t chew. The chilly sauce was almost solid but certainly well congealed. Let me advise you, do not reheat food and sell it as freshly cooked and charge £20 for the privilege to bin it.

Had many different meal's from here which is unusual for me as I tend to stick to the same thing but as the food was so good very clean fresh tasting I wanted to try other thing's. A huge variety to pick from.

Wasn’t as nice as it was, had sweet and sour chicken Cantonese style which was really vinegary, the chips weren’t nice tasted like cheap and cooked in old oil and the fried rice wasn’t as nice. Disappointing.

Stopped here between jobs and what a nice takeaway. A very friendly woman served us and the food came out quick and was amazing. My Kung Po chicken was gorgeous and the Singapore Chow Mein was nice and spicy. They even threw in a poppadom ! Definitely recommend 10/10 😁👍🏻

Have been going to Lotus house for the past 30 years or so. Placed an order by phone. Food ready for collection in 10 mins. Was told the cost over the phone. Had to pay by cash. Food was extremely tasty, good value and I fully recommend the venu.

I find the curry is far too hot for me and can't eat it

After reading such good reviews i cannot believe my food was so poor, it must have been overheld after being cooked and the fact that i collected 10 mins before closing, i have no idea, but will be my first and last visit

For the food alone? Literally 5 stars. However the lotus house do lose half a star due to opting out of delivering food. The other half of the star is lost due to missing menu items like large portions of rice (instead, you must ask for the price), sweet and sour pork (which they refuse to make) and no section for appetisers/starters.

First time to have on the weekend. The order was absolutely delicious and definitely be returning. My only issue was that I ordered over the phone told a time but still had to wait a further 25 minutes. Rather been told to come later

Have been going to the Lotus House for last 40+ years. My favourite is and always has been the English style chicken and chips. How they make the soya gravy is a well kept secret but worth every penny! Update (July 2020) Just spent the last hour and a half waiting outside (social distancing) for my meal. Never again. This is just plain ridiculous, by any standards! I know they are busy, but my patience ran out when peole who had placed their order after me were getting their meals before me. I was even forced to ask if they had forgotten about me! I'm sure they had! Anyway I am very disappointed and will not be returning!

Awful meal tonight food was overcooked!! Sweet and sour chicken in batter was so hard could have broken my teeth. Definitely will not return.

Portions can be on the small side, and it costs a bit more than other local Chinese. They make up for this by their food being a lot more freshly prepared, and incredibly tasty, definitely use a lot less salt than other places.

First time here and was glad as food was really good and it was extremely busy...also best pancake roll I've had for a long while.

I laugh at what I here folks say. Why, because, i here things like best food around here, that's most likely true. The only why it can be the best is because you've not left here if you had you'd know it's the worst food ever. I love Chinese food, tried from tenby to Pembroke dock to haverfordwest. Come on people the only way take aways will get better is if we stop buying from them till the food gets better.

tried every chinese takeaway in llanelli and Lotus House!!! tops the lot by a country mile. very busy so you know that your always getting fresh food. Love the place and shall not be using another takeaway ever with regards to chinese food. Unfortunately no delivery service but id happily walk knowing that its from the LOTUS HOUSE.;-)

Always an excellent meal, have tried a number of Chinese restaurants in Llanelli and this is by far the best.

By far the worst chinese takeaway I have ever had. Everyone of us were extremely disappointed with our meals. Vile! What we were told by staff was definitely not what ee had.
