First time ordering from lotus & I was not disappointed. This has got to be the best Chinese takeaway I’ve had hands down. I got the share box which was massive and the portions were incredibly generous, speedy delivery also. I’ll definitely be ordering again. Thankyou 😊

Me and my fat nephew eat here on Monday fatty said its the best starter's he has ever tred he had Hot and sour soup. Barbecue ribs with salt and pepper ribs. with salt pepper chicken wings. with .spring rolls with crispy seaweed with crispy Aromatic Duck. For starters just eat rest of the chippy really for a maine meal. I had chip's. He said the foods wonderful

This was the second takeaway out of maybe six that we have ordered since it opened that was really poor and below standard. Each of the dishes we ordered had obviously been lying around for a while. We ordered just before 5pm and maybe if we had ordered later when it gets busier it would have been better . The other times we have ordered from them apart from the two bad experiences were really good so to me it’s obvious it’s it the food it’s just sometimes the amount of time since they had been cooked to when the customer eats them at home is hit and miss and yesterday was a really disappointing miss unfortunately. Tried Lotus for the first time on Friday and it was the best Chinese I have had in a long time. Fresh, flavoursome and delicious. This is definitely my new go to takeaway. I had starter share box for 2 - delicious and Special chow mein - delicious 😋😋😋. I'm not really a spring roll eater but the meat spring rolls in the starter were amazing

We moved to Chorlton 6 weeks ago and we were giving up hope to find a decent takeaway that didn’t cost a fortune, we have had Caribbean, Lebanese and Indian and 2 cost over £50 for 2 people and to be honest I could have cooked better! and one was just awful. I saw Lotus advertised and there description on their website made me giggle, so, last night I thought I would try it and OMG thankyou Lotus your food was amazing, the delivery was amazingly quick and ordering from your website was a breeze. I had beef in blackbean sauce and green pepper and it was delicious, the beef melted in your mouth and there was plenty of meat in there, succulent, beautiful beef, the black bean sauce was so tasty and went perfectly with my boiled rice and I even enjoyed the salt and pepper chips I ordered as “a just in case”, in fact I ate far too many they were that nice. My son had Beef chowmein and as he was eating he looked up and said “at last I have found my takeaway” he really enjoyed it, tasty and perfectly cooked beef. I also ordered a beef fried rice but we were too stuffed, so that will be a bonus tea for tonight. We also got prawn toast starter, which I was informed, were really nice, what we noticed was everything was so fresh, the vegetables were really fresh and good and to top it off we got free spring rolls, prawn crackers and fortune cookies. I honestly can recommend Lotus highly, the price is right and it’s the best Chinese I have ever had. Thankyou Lotus family it was beautiful and we will be ordering again very soon.

Ordered again this evening and decided to leave a review. I think between me and my housemate this has been our favourite chippy in South Manchester for a while and we've ordered from here more times than I can count. Always happy with the quality of the food and pricing.

Secretly the best Chinese in chorlton. Recommend crispy chilli beef and chicken satay. Really reasonably priced. Lovely people and some solid takeaway staples.

The extra spring rolls and fortune cookies are such a lovely treat. Salt and pepper chips, sweet and sour, noodles, broccoli - all delicious. Staff always very pleasant, and quick to deliver. 1st time visit to Lotus and was extremely happy! Singapore Vermicelli noodles, beef in black bean sauce with green peppers, soft noodles, salt & pepper chips...all absolutely delicious,generous portions and good value. Clean plates all round.

We have just moved to Chorlton and found this little gem round the corner from us and all I can say is AMAZING!! This is the 2nd time we’ve ordered from here now and the food and service is exceptional, we have even got our friends addicted to this restaurant. We were staying overnight at the Didsbury west premier Inn and decided to visit Lotus Chorlton because of the good reviews and proximity to our hotel. We are so happy we did, we ordered the salt and pepper combo box which was amazing and a meal in itself. The chicken and sweetcorn soup was delicious and the beef in black bean with egg fried rice was very tasty with just the right amount of spice. The service and friendliness we received was outstanding with complimentary mini spring rolls, prawn crackers and fortune cookies.Forks,spoons,and chopsticks were also supplied and the packaging was perfect.The value for money was exceptional (this order cost a little over £21) We are delighted to give this takeaway 5 stars and thoroughly recommend it.

Lovely fresh food. Spare ribs are amazing

Very nice and friendly lady behind the counter. Even though I got there 5, 10 minutes before closing they took my orde and she helped me go through the menu and choose what I want. The food is delicious, loved all of it but the hot and sour soup was especially delicious. Great food, great customer service from the nice lady and I also like the look of the establishment. I strongly recommend it.

Food nicely presented. Salt and pepper chips tasty however old warm chips mixed in with fresh chips. Still tasty food though. Will be back.

Belting!! Best Chinese in the world, no other Chinese compares, so good!

This chinese is legit power and is consistently brilliant whenever i order. Salt and pepper chips were literally the best ive had in my life. BBQ ribs were so succulent and juicy that they literally fell off the bone. Singapore vermicelli was also really tasty and had just the right amount of spices in. Also the portions for the mains are proper massive so i always have loads to eat the next day. If you're thinking about it give this place a try, you really won't regret it.

Absolutely my favourite Chinese takeaway in Manchester, especially their starters, which are especially delicious to the point where I often end up ordering just those. Their satay chicken skewers stand out as the best I've had from a takeaway, with strong a creamy peanutty satay sauce coating the cripsy chicken. The delivery lad is always lovely too. Excellent.

The chips tasted like frozen chips and was dry like yesterday's reheated. Also barms had no butter and wasn't asked if I wolould like some. Forget to put in my curry sauce which was annoying as I was charged th £1.80 for it. The last was friendly and nice but I wouldnt eat there ever again tbh.

This is going to be my new Chinese from now on, food was delicious fresh clean food, salt and pepper ribs omg was beautiful and coated, great prices and tasted great if I had to say one thing would be the chips weren’t chippy chips but frozen ones but I can live with that, Sorry edited yeah my partner said they weren’t frozen chips, my bad, delicious all the same 😋

Great Experience! I have awful anxiety and got food with my boyfriend here on Sunday when our local Chinese was closed. Had the best experience dealing with the staff/ owner on arrival who was a lovely woman and made my evening. She was really cheerful which put me at ease so I would have been happy anyway. I’m never very pleased with takeaways, I’m quite particular but this was really tasty, I’m not sure id get the same order again but that’s no fault of theirs. I’ll definitely be back to try some more things.

Wonderful rice noodle. Well cooked and in huge portion. Very nice and very full after the dish. Definitely a great choice for winter cold weather.

My new go to Chinese, the best for miles around (and I've tried quite a few over the years) The food has been amazing both time I have ordered. Very quick friendly delivery so the food is always hot. Great portion sizes. I can't recommend the House Special Platter enough as a starter, the meat falls off the bone of the ribs and the satay chicken skewers are to die for. Highly recommended!

Lotus is the best Chinese I have ever had. Really bloody delicious. I have never been that impressed by other Chinese but The Lotus is fantastic. Super quick service as well. The best. Get on it while you can. Awesome!

Always had a number 1 'go to' chinese local to our area seeing that a good Chinese is rare to come across however driving past Lotus daily and receiving a flyer through the post I thought lets give it a try... Wow ! The food tasted super fresh, prices are fantastic when compared to the portions they give, delivery guy was friendly and to top it off found out that we received some freebies ! Lotus hands down is the best chinese I've experienced within chorlton and the surrounding area and all the family is now super full ! Will definitely be ordering again in the near future Thanks for a superb tasty meal guys at Lotus !!

Absolutely delicious! Only just found this restaurant but will be back again. Very generous portions, super fast delivery and even threw in some complimentary items which was very nice. I was never previously a huge fan of Chinese food - wherever I went the quality never seemed to be very high - but I endured it becasue the wife likes it. Having ordered a couple of takeaways from Lotus however, I think I am now a convert. Their ribs are unbelievable, so tender with the meat just melting off the bone. I also need to mention the chop suey rolls -these jumbo spring rolls packed with bean sprouts and a variety of meats are just amazing. Their website and delivery service is as efficient as deliveroo. They are also very generous with the complementary appetisers. Massive thumbs up from me!

Lovely food. Had the salt & pepper combo for myself and it was a massive portion. Tasted so nice, especially loved the ribs! Free prawn crackers were very much appreciated as well.

Been looking for a decent Chinese takeaway for ages, been sorely disappointed up to now (well, I am from Singapore). but last night’s delivery was spot on, the free fortune cookie should have said “you were lost but now you’re found “ very happy!

This chippy was fantastic till the new owners took over..chips taste like they've been refried over and over..the gravy is the worst I've ever had.. the pie would have bush and blair looking for it (wmd).
