Tried this place for the first time. We ordered online for collection. Food was ready and waiting when I got there. Girl on the till was friendly and chatty. Food was tasty. Look forward to going again soon. Been there several times since. Always great food! Service still good too.

First takeaway for a long time, Ordered on the phone, went to collect. Food was good portions, tasty food and good value also got free crackers on the set menu (thank you) Only thing is they do not accept card payments in the shop so was just lucky I had my wallet and cash on me. Just something to know if your ordering to collect

1st takeaway for a while. Treated ourselves and our elderly neighbours. Lady on phone taking order, very efficient, clear and pleasant. Food arrived in time stated, still very warm. Delivery driver was very pleasant. We all agreed Food was gorgeous and plentiful. We'll done. Will be using again.

Ordered takeaway away on a Friday night. The lady who took my order was easy to speak to and very helpful and polite. My food was delivered only 30 minutes after ordering! The prices are decent for the portion size and the food was absolutely delicious!!! I only ordered for me me andy uncle but we still got free prawn crackers 😃 5 stars all round from us. Always on time and lovely food lovely delivery people

Ordered from here a couple of times over the years, used to be ok, Not anymore. The Chinese lady in the shop is absolutely vile, her attitude stinks. The way she speaks to her staff and customers is rude. The food is disgusting and not authentic cuisine at all. It’s a congealed mess of fat and shame. The lady behind the counter and the delivery man is kind. But the owner needs a lesson is respect and cooking.

Very poor customer service. Firstly they only accept cash as to tight to pay 30p card transaction plus prob fiddling the taxman. Secondly simple request yes not on menu so asked for sweet n sour chicken but without batter. Bluntly told no we don't do it, it's not hard put some plain chicken in the pan! I have ordered this from many other takeaways without an issue they just couldn't be bothered to do it or they have no comprehension of customer satisfaction. Subsequently I went to Minh's Chinese takeaway up the road ordered exactly the same not a problem as it's about going that extra mile to look after your customers no wonder this place has so many bad reviews.

Order from here at least once a week and the food is always amazing probably one of the best Chinese in B31

I found the food to be very nice from here....

Ordered for delivery unfortunately our taxi was delayed so didn't get home in time for delivery! However, we had already paid for the food so they should have left it.... our fault absolutely! But instead they took the food away and put us down as a no show bit like a taxi firm. We ring them up and we get abuse on the phone for not being home for our delivery. We paid for our food so just leave it on our doorstep and we will take it from there. How dare you disrespect us when we phone you when we ask where our food is. Would not recommend. Shocking customer service will not use again!

I have ordered Food yesterday and we are very unhappy,the food was not Fresh! !! I just wasted £56 for nothing, the food had lots of oil in it, the food had no taste, it felt like it was cooked and then put in a microwave to make it warm. The meat was not Fresh, the food was disgusting!! I do not recommend. !!!!!!!!!!!!!😡😡😡

Tonight (22nd September) I ordered two vegetarian meals and received two meat meals. The shop refused to change them. Will never order again.

Food average, unprofessional behind counter came once before and thought I'd give it a second chance but should of listened to my head and avoid think you need some customer training won't be rushing back that's for sure save your money and source a more friendly place customer service is shocking

Got dinner here, egg fried rice was stodgy and inedible also the yuk sung smelled off and was inedible but the chicken chow mein was alright and the special chop suey was ok, over all not worth it I will never eat here again.

Place an order at 1848, an hour and an half later call to know what happened and said is in their way, in 3 minutes should be there. 2 hours 20 minutes after place the order. Didn't arrive. Don't waste your time with them.

Been a customer here for many years. I saw the reviews on google stating new owners and was a bit weary of ordering as the reviews weren't very good. We ordered BBQ Ribs, sweet chilli chicken x2, boiled rice x2, chips, sweet and sour chicken balls and we got the wings free (was worried as always had these with our usual order it says you now need to spend £40 to get these but did recieve 👍). The food was great, you could tell certain things were a little different but not in a bad way. These bad reviews must have been teething issues as we didn't have any issues with quality or quantity. Will deffo use again in the future 👍👍

Was a regular customer, noticed prices have gone up which I understand but when the food is not the best and up to scratch it disappoints, the salt & pepper chicken wings and prawns are triple fried the batter is so thick and dry, the curry is very bland will not be using again very disappointed ☹️

Tbh, I'm not too keen with this place. The only food i found good was the chicken chow mein, the rest of the food was...dissatisfying. I guess it's good for people who like "fast food style British/Chinese food", but this is my first time trying this and I'm not really a fan.

Ordered from here tonight, food was not very nice at all, the Special Curry was bland and meet was very chewy, egg fried rice wasn’t tasteful at all. I won’t be ordering from here again.

New owners are ripping customers off. Prices have increased and portion sizes decreased to a third. My container was only a quarter full with 6 prawns and about 5mm of peking sauce. Plus they forgot to deliver half my order. Free items on bulk orders removed. I was a customer here for years but this take away must this customer are stupid. Stay clear!

AVOID. SCAM TAKE-AWAY. 2 hours to receive my delivery in a normal week day. And then it was missing things. Portion sizes are ridiculously tiny and takeaway box was half empty. New owners are conning customers!

Great food , big portions on the set menu can never finish it also great value for money I have been using lotus blossom for a few years and never had any issues, the woman on the phone always gets my order correct which is rare at alot of places . Highly recommended

Ordered from here tonight as we usually do, we never really have that much issues but have noticed everytime we have ordered has been bland and tasteless to be completely honest but Chinese’s don’t seem to be that nice round here anyway, but tonight was a different story, waited an hour for food to be delivered to receive the wrong food, to then call the restaurant and be told that we didn’t order what we wanted, I was literally sat next to my partner when he made the phone call, so I know he had it right! The lady on the phone was completely rude and had really bad customer service. After spending near enough £30 tonight and saw how the restaurant act towards there customers when there clearly in the wrong. It will be the last time I order tonight, I’ll be looking for a new Chinese. One that actually has compassion for there food and business. The woman on the phone clearly needs to find a new job as it seems she doesn’t like what she does, I was more annoyed because as a restaurant your meant to fix your mistakes and please the customer not tell them that they didn’t order what they wanted when I know for a fact I did. I don’t normally write reviews but I thought I would tonight, and if you have got this far reading I suppose you don’t order from here either, complete waste of time and money.

Had half a aromatic / crispy duck with pancakes which without a doubt was the worst ever it was slimy not at all crispy and seemed like it was duck they had bought from a Chinese supermarket and then fried in a frying pan . Absolutely dire

Food was really nice portion for curry a bit small not enough to go round with rice ? I think best opinion here is put rice in curry tub & curry in rice tub. Best Way to do it should be perfect portion for both then 🤗

Best Chinese in South Birmingham from my experience, recommend it

I'm appalled with the new delivery drivers you have and will sadly be giving the restaurant a miss in future. I was at a family get together last week and we ordered from our usual. A new driver in a blue car showed up and my mums asked where the usual old guy is that delivers to us. Your delivery driver stated "he's been sacked, he's robbed them" my mum personally knows this driver and has befriended him in the local area aside from ordering from Lotus Blossom. He's always polite and punctual, comes with the correct change, throughout the second lockdown my mother ordered regularly and this driver was the usual one to deliver, he was always kind and really polite, and couldn't do enough to help and always went the extra mile. I think it's disgusting this new driver has said what he has so willingly and would slander a man without hesitation. He was rude and abrupt in his delivery and generally had a bad attitude, and has made accusations very willingly to someone he doesn't know. 100% will be avoiding ordering in future if this is who they chose as the face of their business.

Disgusting customer service, DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE THROUGH FOOD HUB you order locally but it sends the order here and these vile people refuse to refund even though it's not your fault? Appaling, they deserve to go out of business.

Had an excellent takeaway meal of spare ribs, mini spring rolls with sweet & sour dip, beef curry and king prawn curry, egg fried rice & boiled rice delivered tonight. After quite a long wait (I had been warned this would be likely), the meal was delivered it was hot and tasted absolutely delicious. Would recommend...

Food mediocre at best, customer service even worse. Danielle was extremely rude and left loud speaker on, and was bad mouthing me to staff. I have been nothing but a respectful loyal customer and this is how I was treated.

this place really gone down hill past 12mths we had couple meals from over past few weeks and came down with bad stomach both times ..so hard try to find decent chinese

Absolutely vile! We used to use this regular when it was our local, it was called the Mayflower then. The chicken curry was in a thick hideous bland sauce with a few chicken pieces thrown in, oh and a pea!! Our son had his usual chicken chow mein and couldn't eat the dish, he normally gets two meals but we had to throw it! The BBQ ribs could have mended a hole in a leather shoe, so tender wasn't the word. I could go about every dish but i won't as they were all sub standard. To be clear i do not write reviews, in fact i can't remember the last time i did, but i'm that annoyed at the £30 odd quid i spent on this awful service i felt i needed to warn others!!!

Fast delivery, friendly delivery driver, really good sized portions, friendly staff. Food always fresh, hot and tastes amazing. Please don't close for a month, where else am I going to get shredded chilli beef as good as yours! Really impressed that the delivery driver was wearing masks and gloves!

Really got us out of a hole when our Chinese orderd elsewhere wasn't delivered. The Lotus Blossom got a huge order ready in under half an hour. The food was excellent, will be making this very much our first choice next time. Thank you for your help and fantastic food

Had a take away a few times, as far as I remember they don’t have a card machine so worth getting cash out before heading in although there is a cash point not far away too. Food has generally been good, it’s hot, even if delivered. The sweet and sour sometimes tastes a little weird but in general we have enjoyed it

Since this take away has changed to Lotus Blossom we've not had a single bad meal and the service is excellent. They delivered an incorrect meal one evening and when we called they were back in 10 minutes and let us keep the 'wrong' one.

Mayflower used to be great. It's now Lotus Blossom, and it's awful. They batter everything, there was a hair in our Gung Po Chicken, and the crispy chilli beef was sickly sweet & almost entirely batter. The Mayflower was great. The Lotus Blossum isn't.

Long wait and the food was 110% tasteless! No spice no kick no flavour! Taste like water! Very poor.
