A cloudy day in this beautiful city, perfect to enjoy a very good and authentic Lebanese meal, I can say that the food is very tasty. The place is very clean and cozy.

Thought we'd give this a try tonight for takeaway on Great Western Road, very glad we did. Friendly, helpful staff, we ordered some of their home made breads, some chicken off the grill, stewed aubergines (heaven...) and bits and bobs. Even the pilau rice tasted smokey and lush, the whipped garlic and chilli sauces were delicious. Falafels were little pillows of crispy gorgeousness. Very reasonably priced. We will return. Thanks, guys!

Eaten here a few times. If you want authentic high quality Lebanese/ Middle Eastern food then look no further. Their Falafel is the amongst the best I have ever tasted, crispy on the outside and golden soft inside. Great value and service too. Complimentary mint tea a nice touch.

This review is for the Lotus Restaurant on Great Western Road which opened not that long ago, and has helped fill the gap left by the closure of Byblos Café last July and serves excellent Lebanese food with a good varied menu and a fine selection of middle eastern beverages. Well worth a visit for those who like Lebanese cuisine.

We have eaten here as a family group before, and had excellent food. My recollection was that we had too much food, so this time we tried to order sensibly - and failed!! We ordered olives and a tomato onion salad as starters. Unfortunately they arrived at the same time as our mains - perhaps i should have said beforehand - and the bowl of olives was HUGE! The olives themselves were small and nice - we each ate about 15, and this wasn't even half o the bowl! For our mains we had a mixed shawarma and a mixed sandwich, with rice and chips included. We also had two mint teas. The food was excellent, but in no way did we manage to eat it all. The waiter offered to make up a doggy bag for us (neat boxes actually, so we went away with a lot of food for the next day. How much did it cost? Only £32.50!! There is no drinks licence by the way. Scotstoun has virtually no sit in restaurants, but this one is a little gem. There is always parking nearby, and the food and value is excellent. Try it!

Visited Beruit about 5 years ago, and since then have got the taste for Lebanese food, and luckily for me, Glasgow has a number of great Lebanese Restaurants. One that took me a while to get around to visiting was Loyus on Dumbarton Road in the west end of the city. Nice settings, and friendly staff. Prices are excellent, and most importantly, the food is brilliant! Their chicken shwarma is very tasty. If in the area and want a quick meal, then I highly recommend here.

This Lebanese restaurant is near my son's house, and we have often eaten a takeaway - this is the first time we have eaten in. It has been recently refurbished, and is nice and clean. Service was very prompt, and the food very tasty. We were given a free plate of falafels - nice touch - and everyone enjoyed the food. Certainly not a complaint, but the chips seemed totally unnecessary - the helpings were more than ample with them! I noted that there was a steady stream of folk calling in for takeaways, as well as the restaurant being full - a good sign. Very good value - I would thoroughly recommend Lotus to everyone.

The lamb shawarmas were either pure fat or just uncooked. You could keep chewing it like a chewing gum and not be able to break down the meat or swallow it. It was like chewing on rubber. When complained we got pure abuse in return. No concept of apology or trying to make up. Extremely rude and arrogant staff. Very disappointed.

Tucked away in deepest Whiteinch you might be forgiven for thinking Lotus is just another greasy kebab shop take-away but nothing could be further from the truth! Lebanese food is renowned all over the world and Lotus does an amazing job of bringing this to Glasgow. Delicious wraps and beutiful falafel. I would especially recommend the Beruit hummus, you havent experienced hummus until you have had this! Available to sit in or take away (delivery charge was quite hefty so best just to pop in). Resturant space looking great after the renovation and the staff were excellent. Overall cannot recommend enough!

Came here for lunch with my daughter today and had a lovely meal of small plates. We had moutabal, Hummus Shawarma Mixed, halloumi, Manakeish Lamb and Batata Harra & Fried Vegetables. Every dish tasted amazingly good. The service was warm and friendly. There was a slight wait for it to arrive, however with everything cooked to order it was certainly worth it. The proximity to my daughter’s and the fact that they do take-always means that Lotus will be a regular haunt now. Ron McKenna is rarely wrong - another winning restaurant!

Great selection of Persian food. Light but very satiating. Lamb from pot just melting in the mouth, spotless shawarma, very nice falafels, wonderful fluffy rice sides. Good for carnivores, vegetarians and vegans. Very attentive staff helpful with everything. And quite affordable as well. Top notch.

Food quality is amazing you will taste delicious dishes prepared with the most fresh ingredients, lamb meat is the tenderest ever tried. The owner and young guy with glasses are wonderful hosts, welcoming, attentive, friendly and always with a smile yet professional. They are a wonderful example of how customer care service should be performed: smiling, listening, being resourceful while delivering consistency! Well done and cannot wait to come back to try more dishes!

Lovely lamb khabsa with very soft and tender meat served with broth, out of the world taste Grill for one was quite enough for 2 And the falafel with hummus starter was absolutely scrumptious served with 2 large naan ♥️ We ended the evening with tea for 2 which was a nice end to the great meal The seating could be better and more spacious but that aside the staff was very friendly and provided excellent service
