Lost In Leith Bar & Fermentaria in Edinburgh, City of

To be brutally honest, we ended up here by accident. We wanted to try Campervan Brewery and my partner made an error between here and the taphouse. Given the taphouse is seldom open we tried here and wasn't disappointed (accept for one beer which ran out). It's down by Tom Kitchen, so good location overall. The inside was good, and would be cracking with a good summer. Plenty of variety on tap (even highlighting what's coming next), along with a fridge full of beers. Managed to secure some good local, and guest beers and happy to say we'd happily go back.

Super petit bar/pub avec une ambiance cave voutée. Des alcools locaux, les serveurs étaient supers sympas. Mais si vous ne vous promenez pas un peu dans les rues vous ne le trouverez pas tout de suite. Nous le conseillons à 100%. Petit plus que nous n'avons pas testé par contre : la livraison dans le pub de pizzas.

Stopped of for lunch and while the coffee was excellent the baguette was incredibly disapiinting and ceratinly not worth £4.50!

Really fun quiz and relaxing building and atmosphere. Staff were friendly to talk to too but took us about 10mins to order our drinks at the bar. However, they were busy and had a new member of staff on. The mojito I had was nice enough if not a bit expensive. I would like there to be more snack options but that’s just me picking at things

Sehr gute und große Auswahl von Bieren. Ich fand's trotz der Große recht gemütlich. Leider war es für den Garten zu kalt, dafür kann aber die Bar nix. Deshalb TOP!

Fantastic little hidden gem in leith. Great varied craft beer menu which the staff were more than happy to talk us through, you can tell they are very knowledgeable and passionate about beer.

We found this place whilst staying nearby for a weekend last year and were keen to return! We love the ale so much we didn't try other flavours we'd intended on, so will have to make another return visit! The waiters were very friendly and professional, the beer is reasonably priced and the atmosphere inside was good with decent music.

Second time in Scotland and came here when visiting Edinburgh, good call. Great venue, tables outside for smokers and tables inside with cosy atmosphere. Even though my mate had a great selection of beer they still had a good range of cider for myself. Some super sour apple thing really recommend. Super fit bartender was totally my type gave us loads of samples when choosing. 100% my type of crowd and brought some bottled cherry beer they made back for a mate. Sound venue, good vibes, attractive staff.

Very enjoyable surroundings and our choice of beers were very good. Choc orange stout, rhubarb crumble. Not too pricey either.would revisit.

We stopped by for a quick drink while we explored Leith, the staff were incredibly lovely and super knowledgeable giving us some great advice on which beers we might like. The beer and cider menu has lots of choice across different styles of beer and the option to have thirds, halves and schooners meant we could taste quite a few to see what we liked. Will definitely be back!

Aw. We wandered around a lot to find this wee treasure. Your staff are a credit to you. All the lads who served were polite, knowledgable and very quick. Location is great - your outside area is perfect for sunny afternoons/evenings and your seating area inside is atmospheric and comfortable. Toilets Smelt great which is a massive plus for me. If you can take time out to make sure the toilets are okay- then the rest of the place follows. We'll be back!

Great service and excellent range of locally made beer right in the heart of leith. We sampled four different beers, you can get 1/3 pints, and they were all fantastic.

It's set on an old quayside which in itself isn't a problem but the other side of that is a carpark so the view out the front windows is a bit drab. The beers were quite good but what's with not serving pints, only schooners, halves and thirds? I hope, post pandemic, they drop the ordering from an app, or at least allow you to go back to ordering from the bar.

Really loved our visit here, Oscar and Isaac went above and beyond to make our visit special. Great recommendations and was very accommodating for birthday celebrations. Would recommend :)

Very over priced wine bar /pub . The app they use is very confusing you can’t download you have to reload every time . Prices on draft and bottle beer a cider were way over priced . Would never visits again . Very slow service . Need more staff

Visited on a nice warm day so sat outside. Very busy. Friendly server. Prices ok. Variety of drinks good. Cannot understand why they only serve 2/3 pints rather than full pints but would return

Very poor customer service. After asking a question, the manager was very aggressive and confrontational. Response to our question was “you can always leave.” Have never experienced such poor customer service in a pub in Scotland. Will not be going back.

Really good set up with covid restrictions lifted. Table bookings and order on your phone then drinks brought out. Great buzz and really tasty drinks! Would highly recommend

Nice location to sit out on a pleasant evening - lovely selection of all sorts of beers. Relaxing and funky - will definitely be returning!

I went once before they (and the rest of the world) had to close down. It was fantastic then, and I'm so glad they've been able to open up again. Prices are appropriate, staff are friendly. They have a good selection of their own beers...
