Yesterday, Mum, sister and I visited Lo's for Mothering Sunday and I had a truly wonderful special afternoon tea at Lo's in Pimperne. Prosecco, abundance of finger sandwiches, cakes and clotted cream/ jam scones, tea/coffee. They even gave each of us Mums a posy of tulips and daffodils! Highly recommend for a dog walk and coffee/lunch/afternoon tea sometime 😋

This is a cracking cafe, ordered a Brie, ham and chilli jam toastie. It was really lovely and the chilli jam was served on the side, so you add as much or as little as you want. My husband had the sausage and bacon bap and said it was lovely. My son absolutely loved his cheese, bacon and sausage toastie, which in itself is no mean feat, as he’s such a picky eater! The cost may be a little more than other places, but, it is really worth paying! We will without doubt be revisiting before very long.

Lovely little cafe in a quiet village location. Great coffee and cake although a little overpriced for small portions. Located outside the door to the R Lukins gym. I'm sat there watching the gym goers going in and out and thinking I should go instead of sitting around eating cake and they probably come out of the gym wishing they were eating cake. So win win really. There's something for everybody, healthy snacks were available. My only suggestion would be a little kids play area to make it nicer for everyone! Will definitely go again as there is lovely walks nearby.

Really friendly staff, very helpful, cake menu is varied and delicious, seating area is very spacious and well arranged, dogs were made welcome, only downside for us was a lack of high chairs for younger children. Some lovely walks around the area also. Would definitely recommend going and will be returning soon to try other things on the menu.

We held our daughters baby shower for 25 people here at the weekend, Alex put on a superb buffet and drinks (non and alcoholic). So helpful in letting us set up the room beforehand with a balloon arch and arranging a few tables. Everyone commented on what a lovely venue and how nice and friendly the staff were looking after us all afternoon. Alex and his teams award winning cocktails are a must to try,

We popped in today as our usual cafe was closed! I can see now why we don't visit the black cactus. This isn't the first time, but the two members of staff, who weren't busy dealing with lots of customers, weren't the most friendliest unfortunately. I completely understand they were writing the memo board and sorting that out, but I don't understand why they cheerfully couldn't have explained they would be with us in a minute. There were no happy faces etc. Then the flap Jack's we had weren't the best, but you win some and lose some. When it came to leaving, it was like we weren't even there. No goodbye, thanks for coming, nothing, and to reiterate, they were not busy serving customers. I'm sure many people have had great service there, but unfortunately we have not. So we won't be returning.... Shame!

Soup was awful, tasteless, not even a trace of leek and potato as described. Waste of money , dreadful. It was hot flour and water , like bechamel sauce only thinner.
