L'oro di Napoli in Ealing

I used to love this restaurant, it was super busy and loud and fun. Service could be chaotic but always friendly and ultimately good. When I visited last week it was pretty quiet and remained so. The food was ok, it does feel like it’s not as good anymore. Maybe that’s because other, better places have opened but maybe it also is the quality of the food. Service was sketchy. We ordered desserts and they never came after 45 minutes so we gave up. We couldn’t attract a server to find out where they were. They do seem to do a decent take away business so their attention was on that. I think mostly it feels like it’s a takeaway that has tables these days. I asked for the bill and after 30 minutes nobody had come to take the payment. We had no drinks or food and were keen to get away as we’d been stuck in this little place for nearly 3 hours waiting over an hour for desserts that never came and to pay. I got up and asked to pay and was told it was cash only. I said quite worriedly that I only had my phone on me, I didn’t know that they didn’t accept cash. I was told quite bluntly that there’s a sign on the door and I should have read it. I didn’t notice it, nor did the two friends I’d met. I was told I could transfer by bank if I really couldn’t get cash so I did a bank transfer. I was told that I couldn’t leave until I’d proven I’d paid. I said I didn’t want to show them my bank account and a little guy started making noises behind me, punching his other hand, clearly in a threatening way. I showed them only the transaction I’d made and was allowed to leave. I said the service was terrible and that they should have told me it was cash only when I sat down. I was told I should be able to read. I said I’d ordered desserts that never came and was told that the waiter had left work and I should have chased them. I said that I’d had to wait over 30 minutes to pay and was told “you’ve been here 3 hours it can’t have been that bad”. I said I’d wanted to leave nearly 90 minutes ago but had been waiting for desserts that never arrived and to pay, the waitress became quite angry and was shouting at me to get out. So I did, quite happily. In all honesty the waitress seemed imbalanced and incapable of understanding why this had been a bad experience. I left and said all that they had to do was apologise for the bad service and she started shouting again. I promised to never return. Dreadful and quite scary.

The food here is quite superb, from the fresh mozzarella to the mouth watering salads to the beautiful pizza’s and quite amazing starters, all accompanied by wonderful service in a clean and relaxing atmosphere that all lends to making a most enjoyable experience. I cannot compliment them enough on the high standard of the food they deliver, amazing. There are few other Italian restaurants I could name who could learn a thing or two off these guys.

You'll instantly recognise authentic food after I had enjoyed their divine traditional wood-fired Posillipo Pizza from this Italian pizzeria in West London, who've stayed true to their delightful recipe from the heart of the Naples from it's irresistible base throughout till the crust and cheese, right up to the flavourful signature sauce as well as their very well considered delicious toppings. Well worth trying any one of this great selection from a unique menu, as I'll continue returning for more for my takeaway.

Can’t rate L’oro Di Napoli highly enough. My favourite pizza in the UK. The 40 mile round trip from High Wycombe is definitely worth it. Lovely friendly staff and good value for money. Pizza was so delicious forgot to take photos!

Last min decision to head out for a Birthday dinner. No need to book as its Tues and only two of us. Got a table outside in the warm evening sun. We shared the antipasti starter. Delicious artichoke, mozzarella, grilled aubergine etc. Both had the wood fired oven pizzas for main. Also delicious. Good vegetarian choices. Washed down with chilled moretti & then an even more chilled complimentary birthday limoncello. A lovely little restaurant which retains a cozy friendly atmosphere even with constant bustle of takeaways flying out & buses sailing by.

Ate here yesterday and had bruschetta and parmigiana for starters which were both delicious, the parmigiana in particular I loved. We then both had pizzas which were good and had a nice base and fresh ingredients. Our waiter also gave the best friendly service - I really recommend and would come back again.

This one of the best pizza restaurants we have ever eaten in. Lovely atmosphere, very friendly and very fair prices. It’s only small however so I would recommend reserving a table.

I have been coming to Loro di Napoli-Hanwell since it has opened. And we love it! Reason why we come almost every week! From the kitchen to the front door staff is always very nice, polite and friendly with us. Book your table in advance as they can be very busy! A must go for who enjoys good pizza! And goo

We enjoyed a lovely meal at L’oro di Napoli on Saturday night. The service was quick and friendly, and the food was delicious. The dough was so soft and the toppings were all really fresh. We were pleasantly surprised by the total bill - an extremely reasonable price for such a great evening. We’ll be back!
