So I came to this restaurant last night. I actually went there last year as I was passing to get a takeaway whilst working. I thought it was one of tastiest pizzas I've had. It took me a while to find it from memory but eventually found it online and then looked at the reviews. I was in shock at how poor the rating was. I went there yesterday with a pizza connoisseur of sorts. I was very sceptical to go after reading the reviews. I thought surely they've changed ownership and it's gone wrong now. If your reading this don't listen to reviews. All I can say is wow. The pizza was AMAZING, just how I remembered it. I think their secret ingredient is magic. I highly recommend this restaurant. Ok it wasnt busy, probably due to the false reviews I read. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The place was clean the atmosphere was nice. I can't think why anyone could give this a bad review after having a pizza from here. It is definitely worth trying, well worth the money and just opened my eyes to the fact that people complain about everything. I cant comment on the other food but go for the pizza and you'll leave with a smile on your face and that is a promise.

We went to eat here as by our hotel, but what a mistake. We were greeted by a grumpy lady who before even asking about a table immediately said you have 1 hour! So we sat down, the menu was nothing but mediocre and drunk extremely expensive, asking for £7.90 for a glass of small wine. We ordered 2 pizzas, My partner thankfully passed the kitchen and witnessed pizzas being prepared in an unsatisfactory kitchen and saw 2 small pizzas being prepared. He immediately came back and said we weren’t staying, with what he saw in the kitchen area. Really bad service and not risking the food, I’d avoid at all costs.

Meal for 2 cost £33 1x pizza - obviously from a supermarket packet base heated up rubbish 1x veal Milanese with salad - inedible old meat of various colours seemingly reheated with old salad not in any way fresh - virtually inedible 1x house wine which was rough and almost as bad as the food I suspect the 2 names of this place ( La Pergola and Lorenzo) is to throw off the bad reviews. The place is awful - just don’t!

My partner and I had one of the finest Italian meals we have ever enjoyed. The scampi starter was the most delicious scampi I have ever tasted. The accompanying sauce was so fabulous, I was tempted to lick my plate clean. Fortunately, the staff were happy to bring me more bread, which saved my partners blushes. The mains were bountiful and cooked to perfection too. My fillet steak melted in my mouth, and my partner enjoyed a mountain of Tagliatelle covered in fresh vegetables. I was pleased to help her finish her plate. Simply the best food, and we will be back. Thank you.

the waitress was awkward but very very nice with good intentions. Cook came out to make sure we enjoyed the food and everything was okay. Amazing pizza and very good pasta. Prices were cheaper than other restaurants in the area.

Durante una gita in gruppo fuori porta a Londra purtroppo ci siamo imbattuti in questo ristorante spacciato per italiano. L’ambiente non è sporco, è più che sporco e mal tenuto! Si trovano scarpe sulle tovaglie, foglie dappertutto, soppalchi traballanti e odore nauseabondo. Il menu è improponibile, abbiamo optato per una pizza (ovviamente surgelata) sfornata con un ricco strato di olio esausto. Tocco finale: qui il tè è solo caldo. Mangiare non era nel programma della serata e il conto è stato assai salato! Un rapporto qualità prezzo inclassificabile. Il servizio è pessimo: la cameriera (inglese, a differenza del titolare di origini italiane) è villana e scortese, anzi scortesissima: si è resa utile e disponibile dal momento in cui abbiamo cominciato a dividere e pagare il conto! Mai più! Do una stella perché non c’è valutazione peggiore da dare!!

we thought it was a nice authentic family owned Italian restaurant, but it wasn't. the waitress was rude and unprofessional, and the food was terrible, nothing like traditional italian. the pizza was like a frozen pizza from a shopping mall, poor quality, and my boyfriend's lasagne was nothing like a lasagne. it was basically some nasty pasta with bolognese sauce, and it had a weird sour taste. also the place was kinda dirty and the prices were high.

We enjoyed our Friday night dinner at Lorenzo's during our recent trip to London. We were looking for traditional fish & chips, but didn't want to drop a bundle of cash for such a simple meal. Most restaurants that we looked at in the area wanted over 15 or 16 pounds, Lorenzo's sign out front said it was 7.95. We found the service to be friendly & prompt, the beer was cold, the food was tasty, and overall we really enjoyed the meal. Not sure about all of the negative reviews, but our experience was definitely a positive one.

Même un simple spaghetti avec sauce tomate n’était pas bon! On a aussi commandé des champignons grillés et on a reçu des champignons frits très huileux et sans goût. Fuyez!

Picked it as it looked authentic in an area full of chain restaurants. Yes the service was not great, but not horrendous. Food was acceptable 3 of us ate and we all finished our food. I eat out a lot so can speak from experience it might not be 5 stars but it’s not terrible

Stay far away. If I could give it 0 I would. This place is nasty. The food is nasty, the restaurant is nasty, the atmosphere is honestly scary.

Went here as it was opposite our hotel and it was late - BIG MISTAKE! We were almost dragged in by a very scary woman and sat in the window of otherwise deserted, dirty room. Menus were sticky with food residue and the whole place grimy and shabby. We should have left then but foolishly braved it out. Grandsons pizza was burned on base and strangely oily. Asked for 2 glasses of wine and pressured to buy bottle by aforesaid scary woman - we didn't. Owner shuffling around in slippers and dirty clothing. 15% service charge a (bad) joke. However sensing any complaint would result in a showdown we paid up and got out as quickly as possible. Should have read reviews beforehand - they are all totally accurate. Do not know how this place is still operating. God only knows what the kitchen is like. The worst "restsaurant" I have ever visited.

Where do you start this is Kensington!! Shameful food cucumber on top of a pizza. Grey battered fish refried with side ordering of hair. 15% surcharge avoided the issue insisting we pay, really the council needs to visit to check the hygiene apparently 3 stars on the door saw on the way out this place the s filthy. Em minha ultima noite em Londres, resolvi jantar nesse restaurante, mas não encontrei o que pensei. Pedi uma garrafa de vinho Valporicella (Folonari) e uma garrafa de água e um peito de frango com legumes e bacon (o bacon passou bem longe). No final fiquei observando por um tempo o vazio: do prato, das garrafas, da taça e do copo. Resolvi levantar e dirigir-me a um balcão. Aí alguém apareceu para acertar a conta. Não recomendo. ✍

Where can I start .... the food arrived undercooked and and dripping with oil and oily. The staff are obnoxious and treat customers like battery hens, they did not accept the complaints but dismissed my confusion at the plate of hinge they produced in front of me. I sincerely appologise to anybody who has since endured a forkful of this refuse.

Over charged us by $40! Thank God we didn't give them our credit card without checking. I would like to give them the benefit of the doubt, but judging by the low reviews...

Por desgracia, mi experiencia en este restaurante era terrible. Cada paso del ciclo de servicio nos decepcionó. No sólo era el frío, comida grasosa y difícil, pero también el servicio era asqueroso. Probablemente el peor servicio que he tenido en mi vida. La camarera era irrespetuoso y grosero y no podía hablar inglés, lo que nos hizo sentir, los clientes, y distante fuera de lugar. Cela fait tres longtemps que je mange en restaurant quasiment tout les jours et je croyais avoir vu pleins de choses mais maintenant je peut vous dire que j'ai vécu la pire expérience de ma vie et je suis pas de ce qui ce plaigne facilement mais la j ai mal au ventre apres avoir manger une pizza avec une bierre ma femme des spaghettis carbonara qui en ont que le nom le tout pour 28£ et on me reclame 4£20 de tips " pour boire" pour un repas qui n avais aucun gout et un service déplorable ca fait cher en plus le cadre est pas genial donc je recommande vivement de fuir devant cet établissement

Auténtico restaurante italiano. Comimos pan, ensalada, pasta, carne y vino tinto. En realidad la comida es realmente bonita. El camarero es atento. El servicio es rápido. Altamente recomendado.

place is filthy, waitress rude, toilet omg I have no words there was human waste on walls all of the side of the toilet brush and you could wash your hands as they had watered down the soap! The table cloths are disgusting the walls have old food on them and the food is simply microwaved and shoved on your plate like something found in their bathroom! Charged for service said well your toilets were disgusting and the service was terrible, never offered to take it off! £40 for 2 cokes and 2 disgusting meals ... please avoid you will regret it

Chose this restaurant on convenience only and wished we hadn't! The decor would give the impression of a traditional Italian restaurant and the menu seems to be heading that way but we were very disappointed with the food and service. We chose pizzas which seemed to annoy the waiter - he probably was hoping we were after the more expensive meat offerings! The pizzas were no more than greasy dough base with tinned tomatoes and cheddar cheese and neither were of a decent size! A small supermarket bottle of beer was £5:95 and was served tepid. Not cheap either! The aforementioned pizzas, one beer and a can of coke £32!Just walk on by - there's better choices down by the tube station.

We visited this in October '16. Food was nice and plentiful. restaurant is quite casual but selection was good. Can't fault it for the price offered.

Cenamos una noche y fue lo peor que se da en italiano. Una carne sin más historia y la peor pizza de mi vida. Gorda y cruda....la devolvimos para hornear más y la devolvieron practicamente igual....estaba vacio, no me extraña. Solo comeremos los incautos turistas

An important family meal for a special occasion we entered hoping for a good experience, however the food was incredibly salty and lacking any taste, ham was served in meals which had not been on the menu in turn affecting someone eating who was Muslim.The waitress bought the bill without being asked and while we were still in the middle of our meal, she then waited watching us eat for payment, this was so that both waitresses could leave for their lunch break at 2:30pm. The menus are dirty and the English medieval royal family pictures on the wall are odd, the owners own self portrait next to Henry VIII.I don't normally write negative reviews but had to for this one and only eating experience at Lorenzo's Restaurant.Avoid if you want good Italian food, truly shocking in the lack of quality and care for customers, it is clear they do the bare minimum to reach eating standards all round.

Not a nice place to eat. Dismissive staff small portions and overpriced drinks. Keep walking, there are lots of better places nearby.

Jamás he estado en un restaurante tan malo, no solo a nivel culinario sino a nivel de trato al cliente. Ya desde que entramos, el gesto de la camarera-jefa fué bastante desagradable, pero todos tenemos malos días por lo que no le dí tanta importancia, pero empezaron a traer los platos pedidos y aquello era cualquier cosa menos comida y además faltaba una pizza de peperoni, pues bien, nos discutieron hasta hartar que no lo habíamos pedido y tras la discusión, como haciendonos un favor, la pidió a la cocina y después de media hora nos traen una pizza irreconocible con rodajas de salchicha en vez de peperoni e insistía en que eso era peperoni y cuando le "explicamos" la diferencia entre uno y otro comenzó a gritarnos, realmente intolerable, por lo que le pedí la hoja de reclamaciones y ella dió la vuelta a la factura hecha a mano y sin membrete oficial y dijo que escribiera allí. En fin, la peor experiencia de mi vida y les garantizo que he viajado mucho. Espero que esta critica les perjudique hasta el cierre de dicho local que es lo que se merecen.

Not authentic Italian at all. I should've worked it out when I saw neon signs saying "Steak and Chips". The menu was OTT and way too extensive (not in a good way). Wait staff were nice and friendly, but the food was crap. It was like a parody of an Italian restaurant. You work it out once you get in there that there's no locals...just bleary eyed tourists...I ordered the San Daniele pizza and the base was *ok* but they had dumped pretty much a whole can of uncooked chopped tomatoes on the top. My dad got the ravioli and I swear they looked like they came out of a tin. Don't get sucked in by the inviting tavern style exterior!

Disgusting. Staff doesn't speak English. Sauce tastes like Prego out of the jar. Parm cheese was from a plastic grocery store container. Nothing authentic or real. Staff was rude and huge language barrier. Save your money. What a waste.

Food was poor and we sent back the house salad which consisted of wilted lettuce and soggy tomatoes. The service was below average and to add insult to injury we were charged 15%service on top of the bill. We should have walked when we saw the owners trousers, which hadn't seen a wash for a very long time! Why it has survived in Kensington is anyone's guess! Don't go there! It says on the menu vegetables and potatoes are included in all main meals or pasta for an extra £2.95. You misread that to mean only pasta costs extra, so you pay for veg. A total swizzle.

Not hard ... Italian restaurant ... we should have got our first clue from the Spanish "hello" rather than an Italian "hello". Four cheese pizza? Nope ... two cheeses and it was so thick it was hard to get a knife through it. The English 12.5 per cent "optional" service charge is not "optional" here - it's the first time we would have refused it ... Garlic prawns - they don't actually say that they're unshelled and you have to work hard and then ask for some bread. Awful, awful, awful ... They rely on one-time mug tourists - certainly not repeat visitors.

This was the worst food I have ever tasted and at £150 for dinner for three people - deplorable for what was put up to us. The wine was cheap, tart and not something I would use to strip paint. The fillet steak was not worthy of the name. All 3 steaks were cooked to the same finish despite a request for medium, medium well and medium rare. The "sauce" was a pool of gravy spoiled the cut of meat and the chips and salad all were at an additional cost. The salad when it arrived was drowning in olive oil and totally beyond redemption. The brandy sauce with the scotch fillet steak had not ever seen a hint of brandy!! Do not eat at this restaurant. I totally resent having to pay the £20 service charge for no service whatsoever and nothing but Mis-management, poor attitude and incompetence of the serving staff. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Everything was going so well until we sat down. It started with the waitress getting our order wrong and only bringing one starter out. We had ordered wine which we did not receive until i had asked for it once our main course had come. The starter was a shrimps cocktail. You cold tell the shrimp had just been defrosted as they were still warm on top of the iceberg lettuce. The starter was lazy and basic for the money i paid. The whole thing was drowned in a seafood sauce so we could not taste anything else but this. Then on to the main. I ordered Carbonara which had absolutely no taste at all. When i asked for a pepper grinder did not receive one and when i had barely touched the food when the waitress asked what was wrong she seemed to take it as a personal insult. After reading some of the reviews i am surprised that she had not heard this before. So then after the poorest service i had ever received at a resturant she had the audacity to add a 12.5% service charge. I WILL NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN!!!!!

I ate here late at night because I spent much of the afternoon flying in from Malta and was very tired. I wish that I checked tripadvisor first but I wanted to eat something and go to bed and this was near my hotel. We had 2 beers, 2 waters, and we split a bowl of pasta. It was over 35 pounds! The two small bottles of water were 5.5 pounds! London is expensive but this place is a rip off.

Ordered two mixed grills two Belgian beers and one slice of cheese cake. The grills just under £15 each on the menu, "not a bad price we thought" the food was ok really but when we paid the bill of £63 it left a lump in my throat. just daylight robbery. I would avoid this place unless you like throwing money away.Earlier that evening i saw a woman pay £2.50 for a cup of tea, then charged another £2.50 for another teabag to make her tea stronger, I thought i had seen it all then i went in lorenzos.

I'm 100% sure this is the Italian restaurant across from our hotel that we visited not once but twice for dinner, because their pizza was just THAT GOOD.I'm actually shocked at the multiple 1 star reviews.My husband and I are from Long Island, NY and we know what good pizza tastes like. I'm not sure about this other dishes at this restaurant but the margarita pizza is out of this world. We spoke with the owner and he is from Italy, so you are getting authentic Italian pizza!

I've lived in Italy for 25 years, I've been a cook... living in London, I often visit Italian-owned restaurants to feel at home. Having said this: I would sooner eat of my toilet lid than go back here. The food is cold, horrid, startlingly bad ...comparable to feces, ... for a fixed £7.75 meal (two of us) we were charged £48 ... enforced 15% tip, £2 cover charge pp... but there is more. The staff argued in front of us because we'd given "too many chips"... not realizing we spoke Italian .. service is shameful, waiters swear.. and in comes the owner.. dirty as a swamp rat, smelly, wearing bags on his feet. I kid you not... If they want to turn it into a real business, they should turn it into a comedy experience, but the joke is on us. It should be closed and forgotten.

The only way I can imagine this place survives is from naive tourists & visitors like myself who stumbled upon it & were drawn by the bright lights & promise of fresh fish. It really is the place the time forgot - approx. 50 years ago I would estimate. The minestrone soup was a mixture of fresh vegetables but utterly tasteless. Worse was to come. The flatfish when it came was in one part- towards the tail - totally dried out & inedible. The rest was like a piece of rubber. I have never eaten any fish like it. Disgusting. The table cloths & napkins are all paper. Not a crime in itself but an indicator of the need to control expenses. The glass beakers & cruet set were the same as we had for school dinners -coincidentally 50 years ago! I wish I could find something positive to say. The roof does not leak as far as I can tell?

Siamo entrati una sera invogliati da un menu Antipasto+ Primo a 8£. Ci hanno subito accolti un ambiente buio e sciatto e una cameriera che sembrava essere stata messa li per caso. Ho mangiato la cotoletta alla milanese più terribile della mia vita, cotta in olio usato e cucinata senza la minima cura. Si sentiva lo staff litigare dalla cucina. La balaustra di accesso al piano rialzato era tenuta insieme dallo scotch. Personale e gestore demotivati e privi di passione per il loro lavoro (questa è l’impressione). Ottima location per una puntata di “Cucine da Incubo.” Ciliegina sulla torta: un conto salatissimo per aver preso fuori dal menu 1 bottiglietta d’acqua, 2 bicchieri di vino piccoli e due caffè pessimi. Posti così sono un insulto alla cucina Italiana e all’arte della ristorazione.

Unwelcome. Waitress was miserable. Dreadful pizza - came with peas & carrots on. Asked for olives & they were forgotten. Charged £5.50 for 2 very small bottles of water that they probably got from cash & carry at 20p each. Only 2 other people in there. We found out why the hard way.

The Chef clearly has no idea what he is doing, the food is either completely overcooked or raw.The individual sauces are all the same, although described differently on the menu.The king prawn tails are tiny shrimps straight out of a tin, and cold.Steak! Im rarely the one to complain but this place was terrible form start to finish. So firstly the staff seemed to have no experience I was in a group of 9 and when the drinks came the man through us the cans of drinks to us from one end of the table and we had to hand them out ourselves, the meals came out super sloppy mine had pasta sauce ALL over the plate, some of the others had the lasagne and spaghetti which was floating in an oil broth, when the women came to clear the plates that the majority had not been touched she asked how it was and most said it was terrible and she said we told her it was nice, which was a lie! We paying separately and the man was guarding the door letting us out as each of us paid like we where prisoners! They where lucky we even paid! I was the last one to pay and as she was adding it up her and the man where yelling at each other in another language and she didn't admit it but she forgot to add the service charge and left me with the remaining! What a joke.

Uno dei tanti ristoranti che si dicono italiani, a Londra, non peggiore nè migliore di altri.il menù è sovrapponibile ai soliti menu', apprezzabile il pollo. Un pò rustici i camerieri anche se il gestore è abbastanza disponibile. Il prezzo allineato ai ristoranti economici londinesi. Non da evitare nè da raccomandare.

This was the worst place that we ate at in five days in London. Although this is an Italian restaurant, they advertised "authentic" fish and chips, so my husband decided to try that. What a disaster! It was actually "dough" and chips. The service was average at best (trying to be nice here). The only good comment I can make is that the vegetables that came with my chicken dish were really good. We would never eat here again and would not recommend anyone else eat here either.

We had hoped to dine at an Indian or Thai place in this block. The Indian restaurant no longer existed and the Thai one was closed, so we settled for Lorenzo's. It didn't look too bad from the outside. We entered what appeared to be the main door and no one greeted us. We heard someone talking in another room and waited for several minutes. Finally a man in an headband and soiled white T-shirt came in. We thought he also had wandered in off the street and my husband feared he was going to hit us up for money. But it was the proprietor, who seated us in the next room.A few minutes later the waitress sauntered in and brought us drinks. I ordered giant prawns, while my husband ordered chicken rigatoni. We continued to wait. There was a rather large group of young women, obviously also tourists, on the upper level eating. They apparently had concluded their main course (the board offering the three course dinner outside offered a dessert of the day) and one asked about dessert. The waitress told them they could have bananas for dessert, offering no other options, and passed around a basket of bananas.Our food arrived. I had a small bowl of shrimp in some sort of sauce. If those were giant prawns, a dachshund is a circus elephant. My husband detected few traces of chicken among his pasta. Some time after bringing the main course, she appeared again with three small baguettes, all rather tough.We felt the cost was quite high for what we got, and the service certainly didn't make up for it. We finally went into the other room (which contained the bar) because we wanted to get our tickets, pay, and get out. The waitress apparently was training a new waitress and was telling her to set the table that had been occupied by the large group. The new girl didn't even know which site of the plate to put the silverware. Since my portion of shrimp was rather paltry, I did taste my husband's pasta. It wasn't horrible, but was no better than something you could get by opening a can.London has more than 18,000 restaurants. You have many other choices, including an abundant selection of Italian ones. Pick one of those.(By the way, the next night we ate at the nearby Thai restaurant and really enjoyed it. I'll write a review).

Consiglio vivamente a tutte le persone che si trovano a passare di fronte a questo ristorante di non andarci per nessun motivo. Innanzitutto non è un vero ristorante italiano come si può notare facilmente dai numerosi errori ortografici presenti nel menù. Il rispetto delle norme igieniche non esiste in questa bettola, le tovaglie non vengono cambiate da chissà quanto, i piatti su cui viene servito il cibo sono sporchi così come il personale che serve. Io e il mio ragazzo abbiamo ordinato una pasta al ragù e del tè freddo e ci siamo trovati a mangiare degli spaghetti completamente sommersi da una brodaglia di ragù immangiabile e di scarsissima qualità, la pasta era scotta e il tè ci è stato portato caldo in una tazza come se dovessimo fare colazione. Nel momento in cui abbiamo fatto presente alla titolare che noi avevamo ordinato ice tea lei ci ha buttato dentro dei cubetti di ghiaccio ed ecco pronto il tè freddo. Abbiamo lasciato lì tutto è al momento di pagare il conto ci è stato fatto a mano con carta e penna. Andare in questo postaccio è stata la peggiore scelta della vacanza.

Do not go to this restaurant. All the food was appalling the staff were very unhelpful and generally not interested it is incredibly expensive and the just seem to make the bill up at the end. I am not the type to moan and winge on tripadvisor but seriously do not go here.

Don't let the appealing exterior and quaint interior of this sausage factory fool you. While walking past we decided to eat at Lorenzos as we were starving and it looked like a nice traditional Italian Restaurant. There was only one poor waitress running the whole place, who had obviously never been trained properly. Once the food arrived, it immediately became obvious that the business model of the 'Great Lorenzo' is to make as much profit from tourists as possible by serving food of the standard of a frozen meal for exorbitant prices. The only reason this place is still open is because it's surrounded by large hotels with unsuspecting travelers ready to be fleeced. The service charge was a twist of the knife!If only I could give it a zero.

This is possibly the worst Italian food I've ever had in my entire life. Ordered Seafood Risotto and it tasted like rice mixed with sardine tomato sauce and it looked nothing like a risotto. The male waiter was EXTREMELY UNFRIENDLY AND UNWELCOMING. On top of that, we had to pay 15% service charge! Give it a miss, don't come to this place! The only good thing about this place is the sweet waitress.

My friends and I had dinner here last night. Once inside we saw a man walking, which we believed to be a tramp, but it turned out to be the owner: oily hair, an extremely dirty shirt and trousers, and above all, very very unfriendly. We should have known better by then, but ordered pizzas anyway, which were... well, words fall short. Everything around us was old and dirty. In the end we just asked for the bill, leaving the pizzas (which seemed to be no surprise to the waitress, or she was simply not interested) and went to a nearby supermarket to get some proper dinner...

First night in London on our wedding anniversary, this resturant was conviently located to our lovely hotel. First of we were the only people there and got sat at a tiny little table! my husbands side plate was beyond dirty, the walls were covered in food and clearly never been washed. The food itself was horrid and most defiantly is the worst Italian I've ever had, my husband had to send his steak back due to being severely under cooked when asked for well done to begin with- no apology either. So very very over priced and the compulsory 15% service charge which wasn't mentioned until paying made it 10 times worse. Lovely restaurants in this area, so avoid this one at all cost!!

I just had dinner here tonight. As soon as I walked in the door, I sat down at a table. There was nobody else in the whole restaurant but still the waitress asked me why I was sitting at a 4 person table. My pizza was microwaved and my glass of house red wine cost £9.20, the most expensive glass Ive had in a restaurant in quite a while. DO NOT go to this place by all accounts. Perhaps I was lucky to "meet" Lorenzo, but when I asked him where the toilets were he didnt answer but just pointed. AVOID AT ALL ACOSTS. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY IN THIS DUMP

Often pop in for the lunchtime menu which is reasonably priced. Always order a seafood pasta and have had no cause to complain. Beer and vino pricey though!!!

Tired after a long journey, we were pleased to find a restaurant so close to our nice hotel. Looking at the other reviews, we were not alone in thinking this convenient; unfortunately we had not read the reviews beforehand. Big mistake! Hugely overpriced and the 15% service charge rubs salt in the wound. That's what they must have used the salt for, because there wasn't any on the table! We were two adults and a child, and were charged £62 for two small, soggy pizzas, a veal escallope (£2.75 extra for overcooked potatoes and washed out veg), two small bottles of beer, a diet coke (served in the tin), and a glass of wine (£9.95).Really wished we had just walked on by!

We stopped by case and we had a fast meal, the food is no bad but is definitely over priced, maybe for the posh area.

The first night in London we stopped into this restaurant because it was convenient to our hotel. My carbonara was tasty but my daughters dish was not what she had ordered. We enjoyed our wine and figured that due to jet lag there was an error. Wrong.....The next evening we took family because the husband liked carbonara. This time my daughter ordered an asparagus pasta dish. When it came out it had 0 asparagus and was covered with sliced cucumber. What? My daughter asked for some asparagus on the side ... After a few minutes the waiter came back and said there wasn't any. Why didn't he tell her to begin with. We were all disappointed with our meal this time. The cashier was a very pleasant young woman but the rest of the people we dealt with didn't impress. Don't bother to stop here. Read the reviews!

Taken there by a relative of some good Australian friends because it was on his "Fine Diners" card and was close to their hotel I would endorse all the other negative reviews. Never again will I eat at a place without checking on Trip Advisor. Two of us had pizzas that were small and burnt. The spaghetti marinara looked tired and stodgy, most of it was left, lasagna was completely unappetizing. Wine was expensive and the Chablis was not cold enough, or good enough. The snails were not on the menu and the only saviours were the calamari, though the mayonnaise was poor, the large jug of tap water and a pleasant and attractive waitress. Service possibly saved the meal from complete disaster, probably because there were only two other tables eating at a prime time on a Thursday evening.

We were greeted by a very nice girl in a very emptyrestaurant so we ask if we could sit side by side at a table set for 4persons, thenappearing from nowhere this older haggered woman just dragged one of thetables to accomodate us, this woman then started to shout at her staff in frontOf us the customers!! (never seen anything like this ever) We first ordered a bottle of wine to relax before ordering, then ( this is no lie) from upstairs came atleast a full coach load of Oriental peopledeparting from the restaurant , not one them closed the entrance door behind them, and it was 9degrees outside and about 6degrees inside, i ask the nice waitress what was that all about!! she said this was quite normal, and that they had another 100 tables booked for downstairs and another 60 for the restaurant we were in, we had ordered ourMeals by now, I had the Ministrone soupand my wife the prawn, my soup was ok,my wife's cocktail not so good, for mainI ordered a pasta with chilli and my wifeVeal , my wife in fact received the roast ofthe day but accepted this as it seemed aProblem to change it, my pasta was warm,but what made it cold was the next herdsof Oriental's coming for their set meals?And I cannot tell you how many times I got up and shut the front door becauseof the bad manners of these people and not understanding the English Word "SHUT THE DOOR" Anyway, my Pasta wasnow freezing cold and my wife's meat (whatever) was tough as an old boot.I told the nice waitress I would not pay for the Pasta and ask for the bill, she did not charge for the Pasta, I could have not paidfor the meat dish or the 15% service charge, but after seeing and fearing theman ( believed to be Lorenzo) putting anHorses head in my bed I decided to pay.I told the nice waitress that we would not be back, I dont think she cared, this restaurant obviously makes a lot if moneyfrom the coach parties and don't care lessabout the normal customers.Take note good people, don't waste your money.

We made two mistakes with this place, the first was walking through the door, the second was in ordering food before we left. Terrible food, average service and made to feel uneasy throughout. Even charged extra for a piece of lemon to accompany some mushy old frozen prawns!

It was raining and we were hungry, we had walked past this several times during our stay in and should have done so on this occasion. In we went, the place was empty which should have told us something. We didn't want Italian that night and as the sign outside said steak and chips we agreed that it would be nice. My wife ordered the steak with vegetables, I ordered a mixed grill with chips and a fried egg. The meals arrived, mine was served with shoe string fries not chips, and there was no fried egg. OK, as I said we were hungry, lets just eat. It would have nice if we could have eaten it, this was the toughest meat we have ever had anywhere and we have been to quite a few places in the world. Everything had been salted to the max and was inedible, what they charged for the privilege bordered on criminal. My advice is avoid like the plague

Glad we decided to move on after we noticed the 15% service charge. After reading the other reviews it looks like we had a lucky escape.

This is the worst restaurant in 40 years of eating out. Situated in front of the park international hotel we thought it would be convenient and ok. Out comes ragged restaurant manager but we forgave that ...character etc ,?Menu for £12.95 for 2 courses looked ok so we chose prawns in Italian White wine sauce with garlic herbs etc... Tinned toms and few shrivelled prawns ! Yuk. Main was delivered at same time...horrible plate of pasta tubes with same tomato sauce, supposed to be pasta fungi. Wine is the real rip though. Cheapest bottle £22.00 for crap chianti, no house wine or carafes but you only find out after food ordered. 12.50 per cent sneakily put on the bill too. Only good thing was the sweet waitress....that place will shut down soon I think /. Hope. Fabulous few days in London and this was the only rotten thing and boy was it awful . AVOID

I don't tend to have overly high standards when it comes to eating out. If I get a decent meal, I'm happy. It doesn't have to be exceptional. Service doesn't have to be great. But this place was particularly awful. My girlfriend had the spaghetti which tasted like it was made with baked beans marinara and was disgusting. I had a BBQ chicken with Rosemary which was ok'ish but was not very flavorful, the mixed veg I asked for, also cost extra. The two waiting staff were fighting with one another in full view of the patrons. Service was slow from when we sat down, to when they took our order. It was also relatively expensive. ASK Italian is right down the street, it's a better product and service. Gratuity was also included in the bill...

We visited this restaurant on Saturday with family.We opted for the set menu and ordered some additional garlic bread.Two of us had the prawn starter. It was basically a bowl of very small prawns covered in what tasted and looked like tinned tomatoes. The main course, some sort of pasta supposedly with fish and meat was bland and looked like some sort of minced, unrecognisable meat had been mixed in. The main seafood risotto was far too salty and the chef had not taken the time to remove the unopened muscle shells. We finished off with the tiramasu that looked more like a tray bake and appeared to have rich tea biscuits on the bottom. The bill came and we were shocked to be charged £94 for such poor quality food. The garlic break was £6.50!!!! We were automatically charged 12.5% service charge and now wished we had not paid this.The waitress who served us was very pleasant but we had to ask for condiments and cutlery several times. All in all, we had a great night with our family but left feeling very much "ripped off".

Unless you are desperate go to the Sainsburys Supermarket next door ! The service was shocking, I thought only Milano waiters had this kind of indifference to customer. Mind you the customers might as well not exist!

We are a family of 4 on holiday from america. We were looking for a light nosh. It said pizzeria. Sounds great. Waitress didn't speak or pretended to not understand English. She let us know the pizzas were personal sized. Fine. We will take 2 and share. She let us know, no. No sharing allowed you must order 4 dinners. So we ordered 3 personal pizzas and a gnocchi. More food than we were hungry for. Should have left when she told us this...wait. it gets worse. Food comes. Wrong pizza orders. The gnocchi was terribly rubbery and the sauce was heavy on top of the heavy potatoness. Yuck.pizzas were nothing special, about 6 inches in diameter.When we are full we had 3/4 of a pizza left. Cool! Lunch tomorrow, right? Save a buck in London?Wrong!The waitress (who pretends not to speak english) points to a hand written sign that indicates no take aways, even food you cannot finish. She grabs the left over pizza plate and whisks it away. Very arrogantly.The bill? 60 lbs (no alcohol included) for the Americans, that is about $90. Yeah..could have fed the 4 of us a steak dinner in Texas for the price. InSANE! If you work hard for your money, DO NOT go here!

We had a very nice meal at this restaurant, the chicken dinner was delicious, it came with a starter for only £7.95, absolute bargain. Good service, friendly and courteous waiters, we met the great Lorenzo and he was a very friendly gentleman. We would recommend this restaurant to our family and friends.

I have never eaten in a restaurant as bad as this. It doesn't deserve the one star I am giving here (no possibility of 0 stars). I am Italian but I am not that picky about italian food. However, this restaurant has been the worst culinary nightmare for me and my family who was visiting London.The pizza: this is not pizza. Small, cheap dough, cheap cheese, acid tomato. It arrived already cut in slices (no Italian would do that, but ok) with parts of crust missing. It looked like leftovers put together for me.Gnocchi: this is not gnocchi. Spicy sauce, acid, cheap ham floating in a greasy oil. Terrible.Penne: acid tomato sauce, greasy, pasta overcookek. Terrible.Fritto misto: parts of random fishes deep fried. There was even a half fish (the head!) emptied. So it was just made with those parts you usually discharge. Vomit.Risotto: the best part of the dinner, and I am ironic here. We ask for a vegetarian risotto (if possible, because it was not on the list). At first the waiter says it will take much more of the other dishes. So we ask for an omelette instead. After 2 minutes he comes back saying that the chef can make the veg risotto. We say that omelette is fine but he says no, the risotto will arrive. When all the dishes arrived, the waiter informed us that the risotto will take much more because we asked for something not on the list. After 1 minute the risotto is on the table. Ok... Now the best part: the risotto was so greasy and full of random vegetable pieces that it looked awful. After two spoons of risotto, we find pieces of meat hidden under the first layer of rice and vegetable. We call the waiter and he takes it away saying the chef will make a new risotto. We say no thanks, and we asked for an omelette instead. After 5 minutes the omelette is on the table. The worst omelette ever. It is impossible to make a bad omelette. This "chef" was able to make an impossibly disgusting omelette. Half cooked, strange taste, with a weird ketchup sauce on it. Result: nausea all night long and impossible to finish.The waiter had to take the dishes away half eaten.The price we paid was incredibly high.We all felt sick all night long, especially the ones who ate the fish and the omelette.Culinary nightmare. Avoid it like the plague.

Da unser Hotel in der Nähe von Lorenzos lag, beschlossen wir dort zu essen. Die Preise sind akzeptabel, aber das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt letztendlich einfach nicht. Wir bestellten einen Salat, Roastbeef und eine Lasagne. Alles war auf den Teller einfach hingeklatscht und hätte von jeder Hausfrau min. 100x besser gemacht werden können! Das Personal war sehr aufdringlich, fragte aber nie, ob das Essen schmeckt. Zum Schluss wurde uns auch noch ein Service-Aufschlag berechnet, von dem wir nicht informiert waren! So etwas haben wir noch nie erlebt! Auf gar keinen Fall weiterempfehlbar!

Not recommended to anyone. Service is pretty bad no one asked if our food was good or if we needed anything. The food wasn't great. My mum ordered risotto and it tasted yuk. Did not look like risotto at all. It resembled more of rice and tomato sauce with muscles. Looked more like a very dry minestrone. We requested to have very well done steak and when it was served to us it was rare and blood on the plate. The vegetables looked like they were heated up from leftovers and didn't look like restaurant type vegetables. They also add 15% surcharge on top of the bill which is frustrating. Overall this was a disappointing Experience and waste of money

We should really have known better, the signs were there from the outset... (literally - saying don't ask to take away your leftover food!).After waiting an eternity, they came with the wrong food to our table. After much squabbling amongst the staff, a different waiter turned up to present us with - yes, the exact same wrong food! We gave them another 15 minutes, not once did they speak or acknowledge us so we walked out and had a far more enjoyable experience at the local burger king!

We went in to this place (I wouldn't even call it a restaurant) because it was a very rainy evening and it was just across the road from our hotel. We ordered escargots as a starter and some bread on the side. The bread was served and we were told, that they had run out of escargot. So we asked for the bread to be taken away and in stead we ordered garlic bread. The garlic bread turned out to be the same bread that we had sendt back, now cut in half and sprinkled with a little garlic olie. Our main courses were lasagne and spaghetti carbonara - the lasagne was barely okay and mostly pasta and tomato sauce with very little meat. The carbonara was very lousy - too much cream, only a tiny bit of ham and now parsley.The quality of the food taken in to consideration, it was far to expensive and they charged 15% for "service".All in all: DON'T GO THERE.

I have visited this restaurant few weeks ago. I read the reviews but wanted to see with my own eye. Could not believe that a place in Kensington can be so bad. Well first filthy... fly poo on the horrible ,,paintings,, That looks more like a graveyard of Henry the vIII. A beer 6.35 (awwch) the food was the most disgusting thing i ever saw in my life. My salad looked like was from somebody else Didn't even attempt to try after i saw a teeth mark on my very poor cucamberg. yes you read well .. was a bite on my dying vegetable. Asked for the bill and the ,, old man Lorenzo came and ask what is wrong i just show him the plate... When we got the bill laughable but he added 10% service charge.. Told the waitress are you joking you must only be joking. Paid for the beer and left really thinking on calling the Health Environment Authorities ..in Kensington. In 7 years in London And in my entire life never walk out of a restaurant. DISGUSTING, SHOULD BE CLOSE DOWN FOR REALLY STRONG HEALTH ISSUES

We stayed at the Crowne Plaza on Cromwell Road, and were happy to see an Italian Restaurant on our road. We arrived early, to a half empty restaurant to be told to wait outside. We waited...... We were then told that if we wanted to come in there would be a 20 minute wait on food by a rude older lady that wouldn't even look at us - she yelled this across the restaurant. By this time, other potential patrons had given up and walked in. We waited. Then, we weren't shown to a table OR given a friendly smile, so we left, almost laughing at the lack of service we had just encountered. I don't know how they stay in business. We walked down the road to a lovely meal, friendly attentive staff and were still laughing about Lorenzo's the next day.

My partner, myself and teenage son ate here after a long day out before returning to our hotel. The waitress who took our order was very friendly and polite, that was the only good thing about this restaurant. As we waited for our meal, a member of staff, an elderly gentleman came into the restaurant and started busying himself with tables, but he had a gauze bandage wrapped around his head! This should have been an omen, the food was disgusting, mine inedible. I think the word 'disgusting' sums up this restaurant. In fairness we were not charged for my meal, and I did feel sorry for our waitress, but Lorenzos is best avoided like the plague.

we ordered spaghetti with bolognese sauce, which were inedible, too savory, obviously they want to keep the meat fresh and that have spiced it up with an incredible quantity of red pepper and paprika, the food is burned in the mouth. We ordered wine, which they didn t have, then we ordered another wine, which they also did t have, then, instead of one glass of wine we became on a table a bottle of the most acidic, barrel foul-smelling wine. The bottles are not opened before us, which means that they are open wine poured into a bottle. As we left food on the plate they asked us why we does not eat, and as a response to ouers appeal we becam the answer, that the bolonjese spaghetti must be spiced. We paid a much higher price like in the restaurants with edible food, with 15% charged and left the restaurant hungry and disappointed. Their attitude towards customers is no shame, food is disastrous and terrible, terrible and unfriendly service, prices salted, restaurant dirty ....We do not recommend to anyone, this is not an Italian restaurant,...

I went into this restaurant due to its signs outside. The food was cold and I decided to leave and agreed to pay for the glass of bad wine I had half drank. To my shock I was charged £7.50 plus 15% service charge for the worst wine I ever have tasted.avoid this place. This is the first review I ever completed as I felt it was necessary. I travel every week and am very familiar with the level of service and quality of food expected for each price bracket.

The female greeter was not happy that we did not want to sit in the table by the window and was even unhappier when we did not want to pay 15% service. We had come to the end of an average meal and asked for the bill. The female greeter told us in an unfriendly way that the credit card machine was not working and there was a cash machine up the road. We said we thought we should have been warned before we ordered our meal. Having obtained cash from the machine we decided to pay the bill plus £10, not the 15% added to the bill. Said lady went off to have a word with the boss after telling us we had to pay the 15%. We left £10 plus the cost of the meal. I now completely understand why this restaurant was nearly empty.

We dived in here as it was enroute from our hotel to the Royal Albert Hall and we were running late. Attracted by the specials on the boards outside we quickly realised that we'd been dupped, but had no time to find another eatery. On enquiring about the specials we were recommended the seabss (the most expensive thing on the menu!), but no sign of the steak & chips that had attracted us in. We ordered pasta and pizza which were served quickly and were tasty & filling. The service was OK, the drinks widly over-priced (£8 for a very average 250ml white wine and £6 for a 330 ml Peroni) and the decor a bit faded. Service was automatically added to our bill which came to far more than expected given that we were only in there for about 45 minutes. On reflection we might have done better going to Burger King up the road!

Turned up here on speck so hadn't had chance to read any reviews and my party and I had a hankering for some pasta. As we were taken to our table, on reflection we should have carried on walking right back out. The warning signs of it being pretty empty, several tables without customers but stacked with dirty plates, the decor was also in desperate need of restoring. The four of us ordered our food only to be approached ten minutes later that two of the orders were unavailable.The bread arrived which was quite stale and this was followed by our starters. I opted for AntiPasta which consisted of some salami, a bit of salad and some chunks of tuna that tasted as though it had just been poured out of a tin. My main course of pasta had sauce that tasted as though it was from a jar purchased from a low end supermarket.The service throughout was poor with lots of waiting around and when we asked for a 'proper' receipt for our expenses the waiter began to become aggressive and started to swear. At this point we left with the waiter following us outside and continuing his expletives.Vile place I wish we had never visited

Place is a rip off and the food is horrible.My wife ordered the chicken with asparagus and it came with zucchini. We sent it back as they said they were out of asparagus. So she ordered the chicken with ham and It returned with no ham. so my wife sent it back no dinner for her. I ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce and must say if was average at best. Then we went to pay there were things added we never had.

The only people eating here are witless tourists! Unfortunately I ate here. The pizzas were the worst I have ever had. I hope that the chef is not Italian! It would be too shameful! It was a horrible thick doughy concoction, with sparse toppings and a very unappealing appearance. It was nothing, NOTHING like any pizza I have had in Italy, or for that matter elsewhere in the world. Words cannot convey my disgust. The waiter was unkempt and not particularly well presented or polite. The restaurant itself is cluttered, tired, dusty and somewhat in need of a deep clean. I looked at what other diners were having.......I have to say, the average punter seems to have very low standards. The pasta dishes appeared to be unappealing lumps. The Asian couple sitting nearby were having 2 very large salads of Iceberg lettuce and rough cut tomatoes. I just hope they did not pay too much. If you like Italian food and you like yourself.....find a decent place. There is plenty in London to choose from!

I dropped in for an early evening meal as it looked like it would be OK for something to eat at under £20.After being shown a seat I had a chance to look around, and felt as if I should leave and I wished I had followed my instinct.The place is dirty, and after three bites from the (small) pizza I left it and made my views known as I paid for it, along with a service charged added. The food was truly awful, and even though I was hungry I left it as I really could not bring myself to face it. I ended up going to Burger King in the end to satisfy my hunger rather than spend that much again in another restaurant!They were not really interested either when I made my views known, apart from getting paid, which was dealt with swiftly.I think the place must survive off tourists being attracted by the deceptice prices advertised on the board outside. If you want bread, its extra, any side order with your main, its extra etc. Also drinks, expect to spend nearly £6 for a small bottle of beer or £2.55 for a can of coke which will bump up the bill.The food is as bad as I had been given anywhere, its dirty and the attitude not up to a great deal either.Avoid at all costs.

The menu looks reasonably priced until you realise that anything more adventurous than pizza or pasta would cost you the best part of 20 quid, a glass of wine is 8 (250ml is a standard large glass), a beer is 6 (bottle not pint), and they will automatically stick 15% service charge on your bill even though the "service" was as bad as the do food.Anyway we ate garlic bread (terrible), mussels (simply average), followed by 2 different pizzas that were the size of my hand and both tasted the same.Stay away

Lorenzo's looks good from the outside. The specials on the board look good value, but once inside these items don't appear on the menu. We should have left then, but were hungry and cold. The meal was OK but the bill was a surprise, as even the bread was charged for.The waitress was snooty and gave us the impression that we were wasting her time. There was only one other couple there so she couldn't have been overworked. We won't go there again.
