Carluccio's - Fulham Road in Kensington and Chelsea

Tengo que ir al Chelsea & Westminster con bastante frecuencia y hace 10 días me sorprendió descubrir que nuestro favorito para una bebida después del hospital había cambiado repentinamente de ser una de las cadenas de Carluccio a ser una de la cadena de Cote. El personal era bastante inepto y no tan útil, así que supongo que no volveremos allí otra vez. ¡Una pena! !

A high standard of excellence.Great service and great choice of pasta and fish and meat dishes. Consistently good.

Stopped in here after a quick hospital visit over the road for a bite of lunch. Had a lovely pasta dish and chicken milanese. Food was lovely, drinks were good and service was very friendly. Cake selection for desert is excellent!

Situated right opposite Chelsea and Westminster hospital, we brought our young child in for a final meal before extensive hospital treatment. The lasagne he ordered was burnt and dry and the portion small. My pasta was cold. The waiters paid is no attention and offered no Parmesan or acknowledgement of my pointing out the poor service and good quality. We asked for the bill having now only - dish not returned and 2 of us sitting hungry. They bought the bill for the full amount ordered. The rude manager shrugged that she didn't know that dishes had been returned-- wasn't she supposed to be MANAGING? Despicable experience. We went across the road to pizza express for a great lasagne, much enjoyed by a sick child.

Por dónde empezar. Nadie para darnos la bienvenida, tenemos que esperar 5 minuto en un restaurante vacío. Finalmente alguien nos muestran una mesa desde lejos. Esperamos 5 minutos para que alguien nos dio gran y sentarse en una mesa.No se ofrece un menú que tuvimos que pedir uno. Unas pocas mesas junto a nosotros aunque no ocupaban el personal no podía ser molestado a clara.Que en la tierra está a cargo de este lugar?No hay gestión.Mi compañera de comedor tenía una tarta y tuvimos que comer con una cena típica de la zona. Pedimos un folk desierto, pero parece que no tienen.Pedimos endulzante para el café pero nunca proporciona.Sin doble en su Carluccio grave si él podía ver el mal servicio y la total falta de interés al servicio al cliente.Sin duda podemos ver esta cadena cayendo por el lado de la cintura.Que pena por ti! El personal y los directores.Nunca volveremos

We went there for a family time and we all ordered different dishes. Unfortunately for me I ordered the worst one, some spinach raviolis. The bland and what I suspected to be frozen raviolis were swimming in an ocean of tasteless butter. I don’t even know how the people working there dare “cook” or serve this food. The kid’s pastas were absolutely tasteless as well. They should shut down the chain because it really has nothing to do with Italian cuisine or to cuisine at all.

Yo estaba profundamente decepcionado con el servicio algo ofensivos soporté en esta rama hace un par de meses. Mi experiencia anterior en este restaurante (y la de toda mi familia) había sido muy positiva, y me lo frecuentado por más de 10 años. Así que me molesta más en esta ocasión cuando, al final de almuerzo en mi propia, pedí la cuenta. 10 todo el mundo minutos me ignoró. Luego una camarera vino y dijo: "Lo siento, necesitamos que la mesa para una reserva. A comida é boa, por ser uma rede de restaurantes tem um cardápio bem comercial que agrada a todos. O atendimento é bom, quase toda a equipe é formada por italianos.

Almuerzo rápido en esta rama con mi novia hoy. Como hacía mucho calor fuera me tomó la recomendación de directores y tenía una ensalada vegetariana. Fue absolutamente genial, sin duda probarlo de nuevo. El camarero era muy atento y amable. En general, una gran experiencia, sin duda vale la pena una visita.

He estado Carluccio Kings Road muchas veces y debo decir que el tiempo de espera es cada vez peor! Esta vez fuimos temprano, ya que queríamos conseguir el juego en vez de Chelsea leyendas. Sin embargo debemos esperar al menos 30 minutos por nuestra comida. Mi cangrejo y langostinos era muy muy apetecible. Pasta enganchado y absolutamente seco y sin sabor. oportunidad para enviar de vuelta como dno llegábamos tarde para el juego. Después de muchas comidas buenas aquí no regresaremos. No hay personal femenino trabajando ahora todos los hombres. Nuestro camarero que disculparse, pero que no era el punto.

On my visits to Carluccios I've always had an enjoyable time, and usually go for one of their deals, or something from main menu!

I waited for my food for 40mins. The spaghetti were cold, overcooked and the shrimp was expired. The waiters were lazy and have the worst attitude. The entire place makes you feel unwelcome. Don’t go there. Go to Rossopomodore just few feets away.

He oído acerca de Carluccio's por algún tiempo y siempre cosas decentes. Así que finalmente apareció en una cena temprana para averiguar qué era toda la queja. El personal era bueno, y lo suficientemente atento. El Chianti por copa era decente. La bruschetta para empezar era bastante buena, ya que las diferentes tomates tiene un buen sabor fresco. Además de la cantidad real de alimentos parecía bastante pequeña en comparación con otros lugares era pequeña, en mi opinión, y sirve la comida en un plato grande no tan no ayuda a una percepción. Ah, y el calor de la placa el buen cálidas estancias, mi plato estaba justo en el lado caliente de la tibia. En general, la experiencia no me prisa en volver.

We went with the family today. When we arrived the place was almost empty however we had to grab the attention of the waiter to help us find a table. There was an strange/unpleasant smell of fish but the waiter said it was coming from outside. We moved to another table and nobody came to help us dispite the fact that itbwas quite and we had said to many waiters that we were ready to order. A nice lady finally came and took the order. Then it took ages for the food to arrive. My husband was served both appetiser and main course at the same time and the kids didn't get anything. We asked for an explanation and the food arrived as my husband finish with his food. My little boy complain of the brocoli in his plate and as I thought he was just being picky, I tried it and itbtasted like the bad smell of fish we perceived at the beginning. What a disappointing experience! The food of the kids was taken off from the bill but still we left with a sad face. We really used to like this place but will not come again.

We had lunch here today and had to wait an age for our one dish lunch. The table next to us also commented on the delay which was about half an hour for a salad and small plate of spaghetti! I also noticed that another diner did not eat the soup of the day! The staff were okeasant enough but there was ckearly a oroblem in the kitchen. There might have been staffing oroblems caused by the cold and snowy conditions but no apology was ever offered. Would not go back to this branch - very disappointing!

Nos lo pasamos muy bien. La comida era estupenda y el servicio de camarera llamada sue era 10 / 10. Muy atento y encantador. Hizo la experiencia aún mejor!

Estuve en el restaurante el otro día con mis dos hijos y tenía una increíble comida con un servicio fantástico. Creo que mi camarera era llamado Sue? . . . Ella fue muy atenta y constante sonrisa mientras nos servía. Sin duda volveremos pronto.

What a great experience I was watching a series on Netflix on my tablet and I’m not very good with techbology a manager approached me and told me how much he loved the series I was watching he even sat down with me and helped me to explain how does it work , We had a laugh when my friend came in after a visit of the hospital pretending he was my husband !! The food have been excellent I had a Milanese with some side spinach the waiter have been polite and friendly!! Go and give it a try ! Totally worth it

I'm 30 weeks pregnant and after having a check up at the Chelsea hospital we popped over the road to Carluccio's for a mea. I ordered the beef lasagne. Looked pipping hot but turned out to be be rock hard in the middle (FROZEN). I sent it back. The same lasagne came back still FROZEN. I sent it back again making it clear to the waiter I couldn't eat it that way and especially because I was clearly very pregnant. The Lasagne came back YET AGAIN FROZEN. We gave up. My other half didn't want to cause a scene and just paid the bill and we left. The waiter was very unhelpful and I found the whole situation very stressful. BE WARNED ALL!

Dado que al menos la mitad de la clientela en este particular Carluccio's son pacientes en diferentes estados de angustia y con diferentes problemas físicos en y desde el Hospital de Chelsea y Westminster maravilloso situado exactamente en el lado opuesto, el personal es increíblemente paciente y servicial. El menú y las bebidas son las mismas en cada sucursal de Carluccio's, pero sin duda más barato que en otros pubs locales. Pero lo que hace que esta rama de Carluccio's diferentes son el personal fenomenal, que son tanto servicial y paciente, manteniendo un sentido del humor. Un buen lugar.

Fuimos un grupo de 6 por delante de un partido de fútbol que hemos hecho en varias ocasiones. En el pasado hemos a menudo tenía un problema similar, pero esta vez sentí que tenía que escribir una crítica, porque no hay excusas de que t él fue atendido o que el restaurante estaba lleno, que se ha implantado en el pasado. Cuatro de nosotros llegamos justo después de 1. 30:00 tener pedidos de nuestra entrada y platos principales a través de 2 amigos que llegamos allí a media hora antes. Las entradas llegaron a 5 minutos y era caliente y delicioso. Luego tuvimos que esperar una hora para los platos principales, así como tener que pedir nuestras bebidas en tres ocasiones. Todo el personal fue muy amable y nos ofreció una bebida gratis cuando terminamos nuestra comida, que era amable, pero estábamos tan tarde que tuvimos que dejar sobre la mesa. Una pena, ya que en ocasiones la comida y el servicio han sido buenos y estoy generalmente un ventilador de Carluccios.

Solid Italian food. Nothing overwhelming but more than serviceable for take away. Nice mushroom risotto, lasagna, and chicken milanese. Broccolini...

Called in here as was at a and e over the road!!!! All I can say is absolutely amazing food and the staff are about the best I’ve come across in London couldn’t do enough for us !!!! And the vegan food was excellent x we will be back

What I like about Carluccio's is that you can have a 3 course meal or just a quick snack -I was just passing by last night on my way to football and we realised that we just had time for a quick bowl of pasta. The ravioli was very nice indeed & set me up for the evening. Service was very good also - in and out in 15 minutes.

I do like Carluccios but i always find the food really oily and the portions quite small so only 3 out of 5. other than that i cant conolain, waiters were nice and the price reasonable

Your branch located on the Fulham Road opposite the Royal Kensington and Chelsea Hospital should be carefully examined because I suspect they are involved in a fraud against customers which may be extensive because it seems the staff in general are working in harmony to support the fraud.

Como gracias a todo el personal en la calle fulham para una noche estupenda viernes. Todo el mundo era muy servicial e hizo una gran noche para nuestro grupo y especialmente mi madre, realmente disfrutar de la amabilidad de todo el mundo, y la comida era realmente fresco y sabroso

Having to spend whole day at hospital opposite restaurant, my companion obtained a toasted sandwich and coffee take away that were both fresh, tasty and excellent. Went across to restaurant for lunch ordering familiar dishes on fixed menu and found both improved in quality of ingredients and presentation. Not many diners due to summer holidays I guess but really pleased that the restaurant management had made effort to improve both food and service plus new dinner plates. Surprised to read negative reviews since I consider this establishment has made efforts to meet previous critical remarks.

Just wanted to say a special thank you to Eny and Liliana. My1yr old niece, my brother and myself really appreciated their friendliness and great customer service at such 10.30pm on a Friday night!! We were at the hospital A&E and came to get a tea and something to eat for my grandmother.

I normally like this chain and visit them in central london and Heathrow. This branch however I shall not visit again. The premises are dirty and the flooring and surrounds tatty. The service is non existent and the quality of the food poor.

Seems hit and miss with the service it would appear! Maybe we were just unlucky as we had to wait for one hour and the staff was disinterested at best! The one showing us to our table was in the middle of his own dinner! Once the food arrives it was great quality but the staff!!!! Oh dear!

Carluccio is good choice for a good quality relaxed meal. But this Carluccio on Fulham road is extra special as service there is very good. Liliana dealt with an issue extremely professionally and made the experience very enjoyable. Customer service is so important and I must say I was impressed of the high levels for a "chain" restaurant. Well done Liliana!

Wife was giving birth but without much luck im sorry to say. known this plave for a long time. they used to make extremely good little round pizzas to take away. discontinued.before the ordeal we had lunch there.i had ficaccia and pumkin soup, which were ok.my wife had some sea food pasta, against my advice.it was bad, worsen by the fact that she were offered parmisan on it. anathema. you should never put cheese on sea food. i mean come on. every corner shop knows it doesnt match.yes, brits have no idea of what food is and that is why so many horrible italian places survive and thrive in london but carluccio, italian like myself, should know better and mostly train his staff properly.obviously i had bigger fish to fry that horrible day but hey...good thing is it wasnt expensive. for chelsea that is.

Nice place. Staff excellent. Opposite a hospital which is not great. Food good. Prices ok. Wines ok. Overall worth a visit.

We just popped in for coffee and decided to share a slice of carrot cake.It was delicious. Two cappuccinos for £5 and carrot cake for £3.75.Excellent value, and lovely relaxing restaurant.

Staff don't know the menu ... I asked for the pollo milanaise , the waitress responded with 'chicken?' !!!!!There were three of us, one ordered a salad, one the carbonara and I had the pollo ... sorry ... chicken Milanese. When food was delivered we asked for extra dressing for our salads and Parmesan for the pasta dish. Dressing arrived 10 minutes later and the Parmesan didn't arrive at all. The place was not full at all. Staff need training ... understand the menu and when someone asks for something, get it !!! There and then, don't get distracted and forget. Expect better from carluccios ....Antonio ... you need to get a grip and sort this out as your nearest competitor, Jamie's Italian, shows how to do service.

If you are looking for a proper Italian restaurant it's probably not the best choice. But if you like international Italian food this is a safe choice and you won't be disappointed. Not my taste.

I came here in the morning for breakfast. It wasn't very busy, which was good for me as I was looked after quickly. Service was good, staff were polite and quick to respond. I ordered coffee (which was very impressive) and poached eggs with smoked salmon. The Hollandaise and the salmon were very tasty, but my eggs were rather overdone, resulting in soft boiled eggs instead of nice runny poached eggs. I was also disappointed with the spinach. The waitress asked if i wanted mushrooms or spinach on the side, I assumed that it was part of the breakfast. But in fact I was charged £3.50 for it. I wouldn't have minded if the spinach was enjoyable, however it was hard, clumped together and difficult to chew/swallow. I had to ask for more sauce to wash it down.These are minor points and perhaps my personal preference. Overall, I enjoyed the breakfast, particularly the coffee! Next time I will raw spinach and my eggs cooked less. But I will return and would recommend.Thank you

I went there for brunch with 3 other friends on a Sunday. We had to wait a while to be given menus. At first we were only given one menu for the whole table. We then asked for breakfast menus, and instead received 3 additional lunch menus (again after a while). When we requested a breakfast menu once again, the server responded sarcastically 'Do you also need children's menus too ?!'. We all ordered the same thing (Carluccio's Breakfast) but only 3 of us received the food at first. We could not start as we did not have silver wear. No one showed up until almost 15 minutes later with the 4th plate so we can ask for silver wear. At that point our food was already cold. They forgot part of our order, so we had to ask 3 times for butter. We also asked for still water but we never got it. The breakfast had large parts of egg shells in it so it was difficult to eat. The last straw was we waited with our credit cards out for 20 minutes after our bill was given to us. Our waiter was behind the bar washing glasses. The place was not even busy at that point. He never came by and we ended up finding enough cash between us to leave. This was the worst service experience we ever had in a restaurant in the UK, or anywhere else for that matter, and we will never go back again. AVOID!!

mi hanno servito una pasta con un bell'aspetto ma completamente insapore. il mio ragazzo ha preso la pasta al ragù che sapeva solamente di aglio. la cameriera sembrava seccata di essere li, è un posto che mi ha rovinato l'umore. speravo di poter fare un bel pranzo e invece sono andata a buttare i soldi. sconsigliatissimo

Friendly staff and very conveniently located across the hospital. Nothing special to eat but fair meals and coffee. Italian dishes and general salad pastas etcetera. Especially for a quick coffee or meal it is fine.

Was expecting the same experience we had at Southampton Carluccios but unfortunately Fulham seemed a little tired and needs a bit of attention to detail.Had to ask twice for drinksCocktails were not as stated on menu (i.e. no trimmings of strawberries etc which is all part of the drink) and very dilute.Meals were pleasant enough but no special zing.Southampton waiters seemed energised and happy and the food looked and tasted like it had just be cooked fresh. Fulham seemed a little like it was re heated? Am sure it wasn't but just not the experience we booked for.A mistake on the bill was supposed to be taken off, it wasn't, and we didn't want to ask again.Will return to Southampton but unfortunately not Fulham.

We went with my partner for a lunch during a week as we've been around in Chelsea, and it confirms that Carluccio is, undoubtedly, the best Italian chain food concept in the UK. We both went for lunch menus, cheap and cheerful: focaccia + pasta pomodoro & pumpkin soup + chicken breast. Dishes are light, simple and fresh, with clear lack of pretentiousness of other "pizza, pasta, grill" chain concepts. It feels like Italian, and it tastes like Italian. And, it is good. Service is both relaxed and attentive, with a bit of personal touch by Simone which counts much more than any skills polished to perfection. It looks like it is run well by some smart professionals, certainly equally business focused and food lovers, as their deli is fully stocked up with some delicious regional food from different parts of Italia. Well done, again, Carluccio. I will pop in when I am around next time!

We got a take away delivered and can honestly say that these guys make the very best pizza in the whole of London and do it with a rare cheerfulness! Excellent, would fully recommend them.

This restaurant is very close to my sister's house where we were staying, and on previous visits we always found the staff to be friendly & efficient - and the prices on the "prix fixe" menu were always reasonable, and the quality & quantity were very good.But not this time.Despite us being almost the only customers in the restaurant, it took a waitperson about 10 minutes to acknowledge our presence! And the service became slower as the evening progressed!Gone is the reasonably priced "prix fixe" menu - instead all the food is now much more expensive - and the quality has disappeared as well.Avoid this place like the plague!

We happened upon Carluccio's while wandering along Fulham Road looking for lunch. What first attracted us was the menu which had enough options for 4 jet lagged visitors, including one who needed a gluten free diet. A specific gluten free menu was presented and it had many choices. Yummy pasta dishes satisfied the rest of us. My pasta dish with fried spinach balls was terrific and enough for two meals!On a different evening, we opted for take out from this same establishment. The great thing was that everything on the menu could be ordered for take out. Additionally, the restaurant has a deli counter and really good baked goods. An amazing sight and quite delicious are their gigantic meringues.

Disappointed with the recent changes. No daily specials, new staff are all over the place and tables and floor not clean. Long wait for service and wrong drinks brought twice. When we mentioned politely that the service had been a bit slow, we were told 'well you only had coffee' rather rudely by the guy at the till, which actually wasn't true. Menu much more limited now. Real shame as it used to be a reliable place for a decent lunch.

A very nice airy restaurant with room between tables. We had really good cappuccinos and lattes and absolutely delicious raspberry muffins. A good selection of sauces, pastas and food available to purchase. And incredible meringues!

Was there last week been seated but eat 10 m to have menu than order wait 20 m for starter than main course another 30 minutes manager he was rubbish to deal complain them to head office no response . It's sad it use to be nice restaurant not any more

We went to have Saturday lunch with our toddler. Service was friendly and we have a baby chair offered, but she was comfortable enough in the couch. We had enough space for the pushchair without folding it. Our toddler got an envelope containing some crayons and a little colouring booklet.The kids menu is very good, we ordered lasagne and crudités for her. She ate our chicken milanese and we finished eating her food. I order the mushroom soup, good if you are on a diet (no cream, just mushroom soup)Food took around 25mins to arrive which is fair in this busy restaurant so not bother. A little noisy (kids) but still good for a relaxed lunch. Perfect if you are visiting the Chelsea and Kensington Hospital just in front! (Parking at the hospital)

I've been many times in this Carluccio's and as an italian,i really can say that their food is absolutely amazing!!! I've tried Risotto with mushrooms, ravioli with lemon, focaccia, CarbonarA, lasagne (maybe they could just reduce a little bit the amount of pepper in it), chicken saltimbocca and many desserts. Everything is absolutely amazing. And the staff is always kind, even with very difficult customers. According to me, they're the best.

As an Italian I can confess myself totally satisfied by the quality of the food I found there. I had Penne alla Luganica , which was a real strong Italian taste. All the main courses are worthy, about the sides,they were a little too small. The garlic bread with olive oil was fantastic , and they offered us a free Gelato at the End. A little bit of time to wait for the dishes but it was full lunch-time and the place was so crouded even if it's big... It definetely deserves a try !

We were at this place during a week day at around 3.30 pm. We ordered a pasta dish which was half cooked, probably not boiled properly. So we called their manager and she sent it back to the kitchen to be properly heated so that it was edible.When returned, it was still the same. I've got a feeling the chef must have left or could not be bothered. The manager did not charge us for this item, however, that is not the point. We expected to receive decent food as advertised by the place and their reputation(is there any)Sorry, will not be visiting again.

We popped in for an early dinner on a Thursday. The food was tasty, and so was the bottled beer, though the latter was a bit too pricey. What most irked though was that, despite it being very quiet, the service was slow and the starter was actually brought to the table at the same time as the main course! The meal was good, but I wouldn't want to go when they are busy.

Was taken to Carluccio's Fulham for a pre-match dinner before a Chelsea game. A very good quality dinner but higher prices than similar Italian restaurants in LondonInteresting discovery: an "Italian" dish I had never tasted before. Large Penne "giardiniera" (an original Antonio recipe), which means with a dozen different vegetables, no tomato sauce, plus chili peppers and Parmesan cheese. The Montepulciano d'Abruzzo was good but as I said expensive.

I went with neighbours to Chelsea and Westminster hospital as the man needed a check up he is 91 and needs help. They asked me if it is O K with me to go and have lunch at Carluccio's across the road and I agreed. Although lunch time and they were busy someone came immediately and gave us a good table which was wheelchair accessible, my friend sat on a chair and I parked the folded wheelchair. Our drinks order was taken almost immediately and 5 minutes later our food order, my friends had the 2 course set a very good deal they had a generous portion of Mushroom soup with some bread and as mains she had the Nicoise Salad and he the Ravioli, I had my favourite Penne a la Luganica .which is delicious and just the right portion for me.Someone came a couple of times to ask if everything is to our satisfaction and I find it very handy visiting the hospital. They also do breakfasts and a lot of take away food as well as Italian Grocery to take away..

Saturday mornings at 9.35 there is a rush as 12 step meeting members descend on the restaurant. This has been a tradition for ten years at least. It is amazing how the staff cope with this influx of happy, joyous and free people who are not a Glum Lot!Carluccios sell two italian coffees - strong Milano and the other one which isn't as strong. They also serve freshly squeezed orange juice and the delicious breakfast.I can recommend Carluccios to thoise who haven't been as it's very good value at this branch. They have an excellent range of italian foodie presents to take away as well.

Although the staff are very friendly there is always a long wait. My scrambled eggs, toast and mushrooms were cold. Very disappointing. There were also some children who were screaming , even shrieking and just running around, unsupervised. A great pity because the waiters were faultless.

We dropped in mid week unplanned. Service was a little slow. Had foccatia bread to start which was great and two mains to follow. A salad and a bowl of pasta. Which were both ok, nothing overly special but well cooked.

Come scritto da un altro recensore è un buon ristorante italiano per inglesi. Ho preso la lasagna alla bolognese forse l'unico piatto italiano del menù...vi risulta infatti che in Italia si mangino le linguine col pollo???? Comunque, ambiente tranquillo e carino.

I come here usually before a hospital appointment. The waitress is always happy, provides a warm greeting and always remembers what I like to order. The restaurant is always very clean, bright, and good seating, lay out. Best Carluccio's I have visited.

I go here a couple of times a week. Very friendly staff who ensure that people who work in the local hospital adjacent get an official discount. The smooth (milano blend ) coffee is good but not excellent. The croissant is fresh and tasty. There is always space for one more despite it being busy. A good place to spot celebs if you are into this kind of thing.

I have ordered ravioli with spinach and ricotta ..as they arrived I had to send them back as there was so' much water in the plate it looked unpleasant Then the ricotta was impossible to taste or see ..inside the ravioli.So' price I usually get beer once at M&SFor half price Never again

small food portions and high prices. Service quite slow! Wifi has not worked for weeks!!! Their deli area is its best...

This is my local Carluccios and I go there about once a fortnight because it has a good range of gluten free options. The staff are always friendly and efficient. The gluten free pasta and bread on offer is very good. The Magnifica option at breakfast is great as you effectively get a free coffee. There have been occasional variations in quality (e.g. not including herbs in the eggs and mushrooms as they usually do) but over all the standard is fairly high and this is a good branch.

I came in here after a long day in the hospital in dire need of food and water. Sabri looked after me with a carbonara and a nice large glass of wine and it was very welcome. Carluccio's might not be everyone's cup of tea but its a decent little venue with good food and friendly service. If you are looking for knock-your-socks off Italian food then go to a so-called top Italian in London and pay through the nose for it. If you want a decent meal that's is served quickly and reasonable priced then Carluccio's is your place.Thanks Sabri, you were there in my hour of need.

This chain has a large Gluten Free selection. All sorts of Italian dishes normally denied to me, are suddenly possible. Bruschetta on GF toast, followed by spicy Spag Bol served with GF pasta and a glass of Montepulciano. Wonderful.

I have italian origins and I can tell that the food is far away from being Italian, the service is good anyway

This was the first time I had a Carluccio's take out and it was average. The time from the restaurant to eating was quite short but the food didn't travel particularly well. The bruschetta seemed to just be thrown into the take out dish and both pastas we had were okay. Not bad but nothing to write home about. We've eaten in Carluccio's many times before and would recommend eating in over a take out.

The food here was dreadful: ie. cold, tough & generally tasteless. The polo Milanese was like dessicated cardboard and the salad had almost no dressing except for a very thin single slice of lemon. When I told the waitress about the meal, she brought yet another sliver of lemon of equally thin lemon! These people have assuredly lost their way! They used to be so inventive; but now they have become irredeemably complacent.; there was an almost lack of innovation and interest; this ennui for much of the meal was shared by my guests. The motivation, which used to be the case, has now, well and truly, disappeared. Innovation has been supplanted by boredom

Visited here twice, once for takeaway which was great and once eating in - not so great.The service was average, nothing special.I ordered a risotto which was so salty I couldn't eat it, I managed about a quarter (because I was starving) and then had to leave it.Very disappointing, Carluccios is always hit and miss depending on the day and the branch, it needs to be more consistent if it wants people to return.

I had a 24 hour headache after drinking Prosecco here. What is wrong with it? Is it very poor quality? The reason I drink Prosecco is because it is one of the few white sparkling wines I can drink without getting a headache, so this is really unusual. Very disappointing.

Great place to pop out to whilst visiting Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. Friendly staff, nice pasta, relaxed feel.

Once our antipasti finally arrived (30 minutes), it started with the bread. The foccacia was sweet and doughy, like a flavourless supermarket cake. It came with a selection of cured meats, the salami not too bad, the parma ham tasteless, the mortadella very indifferent and cut too thick, the cooked ham stale. The foccacia was taken away and replaced with "ciabatta". The last time I had bread that bad was in a pre-Gorbachev restaurant in Moscow. Stale dense and unpleasant. So, ciabbatta rolls were suggested. I have moderately strong hands but I really struggled to tear these apart. Also rejected. Another 20 minute wait then... a mushroom risotto that was horribly coagulated and starchy because.....as the waitress told us....it had been precooked then heated up again (so why did it take so long?). Perhaps it was delayed whilst my chicken saltimbocca spent too long under a heat lamp - dry, over cooked and in a glutinous sauce that was due to cornflower and overcooking. The whits Sicilian wine wasn't too bad. The worst meal we have had for a very long time indeed

Had an early breakfast meeting at Carluccio which was quite restuarant and their breakfast was good. Staff very friendly and good service.Had scrabble egg, mushroom on toast, taste delicious and a cup of coffee.

Visiting Chelsea & Westminster hospital, had a couple of hours to pass and found this restaurant to try. Which I am glad we did.Myself, wife & son were eating.It was a cold day so we started with a couple of coffees & a hot chocolate.I opted for the two course set lunch for £10.99 (later upgrading to 3 courses for £2 more).I had the mushroom soup with pancetta, what a generous portion and really tasty.Followed by spaghetti carbonara, again good amount of panchetta therein.As my wife and son opted for a dessert I had the Italian gelato, two scoops (vanilla & chocolate.My wife had the lobster spaghetti £14.95, which also had crayfish & other shellfish in a delicious tomato sauce with plenty of haves tomatoes on it.My son opted for lasagne £9.95 (I think), which he thoroughly enjoyed. He did however admit though it wasn't as good as his mama makes, her secret ingredient of some mustard powder just lifts the white sauce to another level. Typical Italian reaction, but we are English (ROFL).Dessert was vanilla & rum pannacotta for my wife and lemon tart for my son.Both were delicious they said.Add a bottle of still water. Finished off with two more coffees & a hot chocolate to take away.Total bill was £70, whilst not cheap it is not expensive for the area we were in, the food was delicious, the service attentive without being overly so. We weren't rushed and staff was available as we needed them.Overall a pleasant meal to fill the time we had to kill before the hospital appointment and it saves us cooking tonight when we get home late after the rush hour traffic out of London.

Having visited the hospital across the road, we visited for a late lunch. Food choice was good. The staff who initially served us were very attentive but, as it seems we visited across a shift change, the service slowed significantly, dragging out the desserts, coffee, bill and payment.

I have been eating in that restaurant on Sunday night Sharing as a starter the well presented Christmas antipasto we enjoy the atmosphere truly cosy and we have been serve on time an amazing prawn fettuccine and my colleague been enthusiastic speaking about the special Christmas rissoto! A perfect alternative of a casual Sunday roast!

Went to get my daughter a biscuit or muffin but was put off by a large number of small black flies that were flying about and landing on the pastries. Turned on my heal and went to the french bakery across the road (no flies). I mentioned otto the person on the counter before I left - NO INTEREST WHAT SO EVER.

Its my 1st time to London Fulham Road and i do not think i would be back based on service.it appear one young girl was running around serving whole restaurants while manager was just standing behind the counter. Food was good as always but glasgow and aberdeen ones are better for service

Il locale è abbastanza grande ma anche intimo, alla vista sembrava molto chic. Purtroppo non appena ci siamo sedute abbiamo notato che il tavolo era ancora sporco, con le briciole rimaste dai clienti prima di noi. Ciò istante Abbiamo ordinato, per me gnocchi alla sorrentian, la mia amica risotto alla zucca e due bicchiere di vino. La scelta del menù è piuttosto vasta, tanti primi e secondi, ma non pizza. Le portate sono arrivate subito, gli gnocchi non erano eccelsi, normali gnocchi al pomodoro con mozzarella gettata sopra, ma la cosa peggiore sono stati i pezzi di cipolla: mangiare non è stato affatto facile dovendo stare attenta a scansarli! Il risotto invece era un po scotto, non male il sapore. Come dolce invece abbiano assaggiato la panna cotta, molto diversa dalla nostra, infatti aveva un retrogusto di arancia. Il tutto per 43£! Il prezzo È nella media londinese, ma per quello Che abbiamo mangiato assolutamente troppo. Non ci tornerò.

Having ordered specifically off the vegan menu the last thing you expect is a side serving of meat in your greens, but that's exactly what just happened. The place wasn't even busy so they can't blame being rushed off their feet. The so-called vegan menu is rubbish anyway: the only main dish you can have is spaghetti with tomatoes (and when it arrives it just looks, and tastes, like student grub - big plate of spaghetti with a load of watery tinned tomatoes chucked on.). The bread is nothing special, nor are the olives, and the service is dilatory in the extreme. To top things off, a cappuccino was delivered instead of the requested soya latte. Don't bother. Oh, and the toilets were in quite a state too.

I'd only ever been to Carluccio's for coffee, but because of a hospital visit went there for lunch in Fulham Road. I'm not a veggie but decided on the Penne, which was invented by the man himself when a friend who is called round for lunch one day. It was delicious and I have since recommended it to other friends who agree that it really is something special. The restaurant itself is spacious with plenty of room between the tables and the staff is excellent. Everything I saw coming out from the kitchen looked very fresh and very good. I will certainly return.

Having been once before I found the place amazing. However it seems that the other evening it has taken a turn for the worse. Food would take an hour and everyone coming out expressed how terrible the service was. Having herd this we decided to leave and for future reference we will not be returning

Visited on a mid week late morning. We were acknowledged with a smile as we entered and invited to choose a table of our liking .The restaurant was fairly busy with the staff moving around in a swift and profesional manner. We were able to order from both Breakfast and Lunch menus which was good. I choose eggs and mushrooms on toast and my companion mushroom omelette with drinks. Both dishes were tasty and not too greasy. The order was taken quickly and with a smile.Overall this is a busy, clean, welcoming place. I like the concept of a restaurant/deli shop together.Prices are not cheap but to be expected for both fashionable Chelsea and such a well established Italian chain.

Muito bom para almoçar... Preço bom para Londres e comida gostosa. O 'set menu' do dia vale a pena: entrada + principal por 12 libras!

Really enjoyable delicious meal in a relaxed clean friendly environment. My son has multiple food allergies staff once advised were very proactive in accommodating his needs. All staff friendly happy and professional especially the manger Lorenzo. Will visit again when in the area.

Una vera e propria oasi italiana... Ottimo salumi, finocchiona, ventricina, salame di felino, speck ed altri ancora..buona selezione di formaggi.. Anche i vini meritano un plauso.. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo per essere a Londra!!!

The lasagna at Carluccio's is my favourite and every so often I'll treat myself away from my own kitchen. I don't mind this place and would visit more often, I just find the service here a bit lost and obnoxious at times.

Carluccios does the best smooth cappuchinos. Not too bitter, with good non burnt Coffee. The food is always tasty and fresh BUT never enough in my opinion. Examples are the eggs with one alive of bread or the pasta that goes in 5 mouthfuls. I will return but never on a hungry day. The staff are also very obliging and the baked goods to go are superb.

I know its just Carluccio's but you would still expect good food! The food was ok nothing special but no self respecting Italian mama would have served it. For what you get it is not worth the price. Service is slow but the waitress was pleasant. I won't be going back again for lunch but I might try it for breakfast, I mean how wrong can that go?

While visiting a friend in the hospital across the road, we fancied a bite to eat and settled for the place we knew. The food was good as always but the service was rushed. The restaurant wasn't busy when we arrived as it was just after lunch time, we couldn't understand why the waiter was in a constant rush, hardly waiting for us to finish our sentences before darting off which of course meant he sometimes missed some of what we were asking for. It felt awkward so we ate our food and left.

You know what to expect from Carluccio's so I don't need to go into detail. The location is right opposite the Chelsea and Westminster hospital, so is very convenient if you ever have to visit that hospital. You do get ambulances screaming past with their sirens going. The staff are very good here and although the street is busy outside they create a calm and friendly atmosphere inside. I can recommend the bruschetta starter and the spinach ravioli main. Helpings are very generous so it's quite hard to find room for dessert.The only thing I don't like about Carluccio's is the small tables with the bench seat along the wall. If there are several couples you end up sitting ucomfortably close to strangers.In this restaurant there's a very nice big table seating 6-8 which is great for a larger group.
