Easy to order online or in the shop, friendly service, good food and and free prawn crackers again. Definitely recommend!

Had a delicious chow mien from here last week. I went into the shop, it was clean with an open kitchen which I love to see. Best chow mien I’ve had for a long time. We also ordered duck fried rice which was equally as delicious. Can’t fault this Chinese take away.

Old lord of the noodles was great, favourite chinese in Penicuik but recently taken over and honestly won't be ordering again after tonight. Woman who answered the phone was so rude and sharp, took forever to actually take the order and had to repeat over 5 times and they still didn't deliver the juice we ordered and gave us an extra curry sauce which I've obviously been charged for and prices through the roof as over £40 for two people with the exact same order being £29 last month and the food was cold. 100% avoid it

Disgusted, food is watered down so much its no flavour, won't be ordering again.

The chicken is so fresh and very good quality, same goes for every dish I've had. In a nutshell you don't feel like your eating food that's more than 24hrs old.

Gave one star as would not let me in otherwise house special chow mein was awfull had no taste the beef tomato had a taste I can't describe and the ribs were uneatable its the first and last time we will visit must be the worst Chinese in penicuik and I have lived there for over 36 years

Camping at Slatebarns campsite ( absolutely lovely site), ordered a Chinese delivery from Lord of the noodles, absolutely disgusting. Black sludge was supposed to be BBQ sauce, chicken was not chicken that I've ever tasted before and pork was awful too. It arrived an hour and 50 mins after it was dispatched. Cold and glupy. And the attitude of the two staff we spoke to asking where our food was, was disgusting. I'd rather of had a pot noodle. Don't waste your time or money, it's ineadable.

BEST CHINESE IN SCOTLAND. They have amazing bbq ribs that taste different to normal ones but are absolutely fab. I love their chicken chow mein as well as their beef chow mein . I would 100% recommend.

Delivery wasn’t the quickest but was definitely worth it. I would usually pick up and tried delivery today and it took quite a while to arrive but I still recommend this as the food is really good.

Absolutely shocking place. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Horrible staff, horrible place and HORRIBLE FOOD. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Staff refuse to take responsibility, even after returning with food and of course blame everyone else. Disgusting all round

Vedry poor service, Waited for 1hr 30 mins, called them to be told it would be here in 10mins. 15 minutes later nothing. Called them again to be told the drivers car had broken down. We went down to pick up the order. These things can happen but after 1 hour 45 minutes and no one informed us. Well thats the last time we will use them.

Today I felt like ordering some Chinese and I had the worst experience. I ordered a munchies box for 1(mini spring roll, spare ribs, chicken balls, chicken wings, chicken, chips, drink and a sauce). I instantly lost my appetite when I opened the box. Horrific presentation! All of it was supposed to be salt and chilli but ended up to be extremely salty and no chillies. Werid smell and awful taste! What a waste of money was this. Just eat rates it 4.5 and I wonder on what parameters?

We get a delivery from here at least once and sometimes twice a week. We order the same thing every week. We always get the free chicken wings and prawn crackers with our order. They rang first to tell me I wasn’t getting chicken wings because my order was only £29.60 and it had to be over £30. With delivery the total was £31.90! They then rang back to tell me they had no hand for our chicken and ham fried rice and chicken and ham chow mein so we got chicken chow mein and chicken fried rice given to us instead. Order arrived and there was no prawn crackers. Very rude woman on the phone saying they never give free prawn crackers with the free chicken. They do. We have had both every order. Will be sticking with the golden bell from now on. It’s a shame they’re closed. Lost at least £60 a week from this house!! Stay away.

Food was amazing and delivery was super fast. Unexpected spring rolls included and very much appreciated! Will definitely be back again.

Ordered in just eat early afternoon . Got email back at 4.30 to say order received. Then got text at 17.49 to say order on its way net arrived til 18.16 and cold . Don’t think I will be back £19 for cold meal

Really good food, just a bit heavy with the soy sauce on the chicken fried rice. If you don't like it tell them. They're very helpfull

Great wee takeaway. Our new favourite. Customer service great, they welcome feedback and will reply to comments. They're also happy to make alterations to suit which is amazing. Beef chow mein (thin noodles) is one of the best and tastes very fresh. Beef satay yummy but quite a lot of onions, we didn't mind though. Crispy beef with oyster sauce is delicious, not too sweet and lots of flavour. Salt and pepper chips lovely and spicy with a few chillies and spring onions. Curry sauce is very classic but that's what we like! Always great, speedy delivery with a smile. Good work L.O.T.N's!!! :-)

Collected a takeaway of chicken chow mien and crispy shredded beef from here. The crispy shredded beef was terrible - it was dry, solid batter, with barely a whisper of beef inside. It was inedible and we put in back in the box (doing our best to separate the rice into the separate box) then returned to Lord of the Noodles. We told staff that the chow mien was good, but that the shredded beef was inedible and that we would like a refund. We’ve had the dish from the same place in the past (and from other places) and this tasted nothing like it should. I was informed that they would not be able to resell the beef dish as it was partly jumbled with rice, so it would end up just going in the bin. Therefore they could not provide a refund! Otherwise was it just going to get re-heated for some other poor punter?! I was really disappointed by the attitude of the staff. We’d been customers there several times, but all they we were willing to do was offer a discount on our next visit. This is the first time we’ve ever felt the quality was so poor that we have actually returned a takeaway. They said they could not provide a refund just because we didn’t like the taste. It wasn’t a question of taste, it was a question of terrible quality. Disappointing. Will not return.

Found bone in my chicken satay which I choked on which is absolutely horrendous. Do not recommended. Stay well away from this place

Food was horrible my DOG wouldn't even touch it , shredded chicken was like eating cardboard !!!

Not impressed with the food from this chinese takeaway. Sweet n sour chicken dish ... sauce is watery and tasteless, chicken tasted funky. Bqq spare ribs dish ... again sauce didnt taste anything like bbq sauce and ribs full of fat and griscle ! Do the chefs actually taste this stuff before they serve it to the public ?... My guess is there microwaves going ten to the dozen in that kitchen ! DISGRACE ! However there is some positives .. chips were EXCELENT.. and banana fritters tasty also.

Sauce is by far the worst I've ever tasted! BBQ has no flavour, sweet n sour tasted like it had a tonne of vinegar through it (yuk) and if you select a different "flavour" of wings what the menu doesn't state is that they're DROWNED in sauce! The rice is lovely, that's about it.
