Loop & Scoop in Glasgow City

El helado era muy agradable, pero creo que deberían tener algunos sabores refrescantes más afrutados en lugar de todos los de chocolate y galletas. Los churros también eran muy agradables, bastante caros. Recomiendo pedir 9 churros si los estás compartiendo en lugar de los 6 , ya que solo son 50 p más. También probé algunas bebidas, el chocolate caliente destacó en el buen sentido. En general creo que es un lugar muy encantador y delicioso, pero algunas cosas pueden ser bastante caro.

¡Muy pobre, pase! No hay suficiente personal, completamente desorganizado, sucio, tomó para SIEMPRE! Ni siquiera una gran cola, le daría a este lugar un giro corporal masivo

El peor servicio que he recibido. Traté de plantear este problema por correo electrónico para darle al propietario la oportunidad de responder, pero no recibí respuesta, así que dejo esto aquí para aquellos que tienen niños con alergias para que puedan estar al tanto. Visité con mi familia - mi hija, mi hermana y mi sobrino que tiene varias alergias graves. Vinimos no mucho después de abrir a las 2 pm y nos sirvieron después de una corta cola. Mi sobrino pidió un helado vegano y el servidor dijo que lo recogería en una habitación separada para evitar la contaminación debido a sus alergias, lo cual fue muy apreciado. También pedimos cafés y mi hija pidió un helado. El helado de mi hija fue servido inmediatamente y nos sentamos en una mesa arriba esperando el resto de nuestra orden que el miembro del personal nos había dicho que nos traería. Después de 20 minutos de espera, mi hija había terminado su helado hace mucho tiempo y todavía no había señales de nuestros cafés o el helado de mi sobrino. Fui abajo para consultar con el servidor sobre nuestro pedido. Estaba ocupado en el mostrador todavía sirviendo a otras personas, pero me dijo que lo traería pronto. Volví arriba y esperamos por más de 10 minutos más, pero todavía no apareció ninguna orden. Mi sobrino estaba muy angustiado en este punto, ya que su primo había terminado completamente su helado y él no tenía nada.  Volví a bajar y expliqué que ahora habíamos estado esperando más de 30 minutos.  El servidor dijo de nuevo que estaría conmigo en breve, pero inmediatamente se volvió y comenzó a servir a otra persona en la cola. Le pregunté por qué seguía sirviendo a la gente que acababa de llegar cuando yo había estado esperando más de 30 minutos para mi pedido que ya había pagado. Se disculpó y dijo que pronto estaría conmigo. Volví arriba, pero en este punto mi hermana y mi sobrino estaban en peligro de perder su tren a casa. Reunimos nuestras pertenencias y volvimos abajo. El servidor todavía estaba tratando con nuevos clientes, pero después de un minuto finalmente fue a recoger helado de mis sobrinos. Ofreció un reembolso por nuestros cafés, pero ni siquiera tuvimos tiempo de procesar esto, ya que tuvimos que correr para el tren, llevando el helado con nosotros. No volveremos a Loop and Scoop ya que la forma en que nos trataron fue tan injusta. Mi sobrino ya tiene que perderse tanto por sus alergias. Hacer que un niño pequeño esperara tanto tiempo mientras se priorizaba cliente tras cliente por encima de él porque tiene algunas necesidades adicionales fue muy triste de presenciar, y se sintió discriminatorio.

Hemos visitado Loop & Scoop en familia en algunas ocasiones, especialmente durante el verano. Sin embargo, durante el fin de semana de septiembre y la semana de octubre hemos visitado dos veces. El hielo y los churros son increíbles, sin embargo el Gt. La sucursal de Western Rd, es bastante repugnante. Si estás sentado y bajando escaleras, el olor que viene de los baños es horrible. En nuestra primera visita mi marido se negó a usar el inodoro debido a lo asquerosos que eran y en la 2a visita de hoy describió el inodoro peor que en un estadio de fútbol. Así que el helado genial, churros geniales, pero la tienda en la gran carretera occidental, simplemente no está limpio!

La comida era buena como siempre, pero la mesa estaba sucia, chocolate seco en la mesa y otras manchas que parecían haber estado allí durante algún tiempo. El personal parecía desorganizado e infeliz, los números de orden no se gritaban y un miembro del personal infeliz simplemente gritaba artículos y luego hacía ruido cuando nadie respondía.

This place has really went down hill. Our table was dirty, we had to clean it with hand sanitiser and a napkin. Waitress was miserable. Guy in the kitchen looked filthy. Door entering the kitchen was filthy. And to top it off there was kids running about mental like it was a soft play, even my own children commented on the other children. Awful experience.

Cannot believe how much this place has gone down hill. Took my kids for one of their birthdays. £40 later - severely understaffed but that’s not the issue ITS FILTHY cobwebs so thick on the ceiling of booths on top floor and the toilets were so so bad I couldn’t even take my kids in. Looks like it’s not been cleaned in months. Made me think if the toilets are THAT bad what’s the kitchen like……. Only one guy in the kitchen too.

It was last day of school so busy. Not unexpected (Well Advertised) but you think they would have more than one person serving. Took 45 minutes to get served. Apparently people don't know how to say Thank You these days - Or Smile!

Great place to go for dessert - the best ice cream/gelato we have tried. Churros are fantastic. Sometimes a bit too cold to sit in / sometimes tables are a bit unclean and messy.

These guys were running a load of vans at Taylor Swift at Murrayfield. Ordered some chicken bites from the Dirty Bird one at 6:30, having queued for half an hour. At 7:15 there were still ten people in front of me waiting on their orders. I had to ditch it or I'd miss the show. At no point did they say it was going to take an hour to make some chicken nuggets. They just kept taking orders from people and the crowd just kept getting bigger and angrier. Staff work in slow motion and seemed to be making one order at a time. Went back about half eight to get my order and they did make it but it still took fifteen minutes even though there was only one person in front of me at that point. Three staff doing nothing. In short: greedy, disorganised and amateurish. Will avoid all of their many businesses in future. Food was as you'd expect at a stadium show, just greasy and salty. All the more baffling that they can't do it quicker

Always amazes me how slow the service is in this place. All they make is churros so why is it so slow? Went on a Monday night and ordered two churros with dipping sauces and it took almost 30 mins to arrive. When the churros finally did arrive they were pale in colour and not properly cooked. Also could find napkins anywhere… like it’s churros with hot sticky sauce… why no napkins!?

this dessert is lovely in all ways to the workers to the churros and ice cream but i’ll start with the scooper, she was very patient and made me feel very included by specifically pointing out what was vegan, gluten free and other dietary restrictions. i have been before many times and it’s a nice walk from where i live to loop and scoop on a sunny day, will been going again sooner rather than later.

Got recommended this by a former local, if queue but it moved swiftly. We got a table outside and waited. All of our loops and scoops were excellent with good choice of ice cream unique flavours. Nkt the biggest quantities but the loop made up for that

Express review. I've heard great things about this place, even though it's not in the city center. I believe they're opening a new branch there soon. It's definitely worth visiting, and the surrounding area has some nice cafes and restaurants to explore. We tried just the ice cream option without the loop, but we saw many people getting the loop. We've visited this place several times, and it's always been busy but has plenty of seating. Ice cream was smooth, not too sweet, and hit the spot.

Popped in for a quick coffee on a sunday afternoon while in west end. Young boy serving was very polite but a huge back up queue of people waiting for ice cream. Waited 20 minutes for two coffees which arrived luke warm. Very short staffed.

Popped in for an ice cream late evening with my young family and was appalled by the rudeness of the female staff member. I do not go out for ice cream to feel intimidated by staff shouting at delivery drivers, rolling her eyes at customers and huffing at customers coming through the door. I will commend the man working along side that unprofessional women who remained calm, approachable and gave the standard of service expected. I will not be back if that is the attitude of staff. I dont normally write bad reviews- but something needs done about her attitude.

Great ice cream as always but was let down by unusually poor service. Staff were chatting and ignored us for several minutes, despite there being many customers waiting to be served.

Lauren and the adorable young man were incredible. Got a biscoff loop and scoop and a milkshake. They were delicious. The staff were so thoughtful and kind, they deserve the world. Will definitely be back x

We were served by a boy in loop and scoop who had the most awful attitude. Unsure of his name but he had a barbed wire tattoo round his right arm, some neck tattoos, average height, strong Glaswegian accent. Extremely dismissive, leaning against the pole next to the till like he didn’t care (I get nobody wants to be in their work at 9pm at night but you could be doing a far worse job). He came across as a bully - a customer asked for a spoon and he ordered a colleague to fetch it for him even though the spoons were right next to him? Weird behaviour. Glad I don’t work with him and I hope his colleagues stand up to him and put him in his place! Food was 10/10 like always though still a fan x

The ice creams were fantastic. Creamy, light, not overly sweet (as some ice creams in the US are), and fresh-tasting ice creams! I only give a 4 because the outdoor seating is not well maintained. We ordered Cherry ice cream, Vanilla brownie, and Strawberry flavors.

Good ice cream but my goodness - the staff are horribly slow. The man serving was genuinely cutting up signs to put in the ice cream while a queue was forming - surely customers should be served first?!

The place was very smelly and table tops were sticky. It was as if someone puked and did not clean up. We ordered churros and ice cream. The churros were excellent as usual, the ice cream was average. At some point a friend (Asian) if mine went to ask if we could have some tap water, to which the staff said they do not provide water and we have to buy. Then we saw another customer (Caucasian) went up to ask for water and they have her straight away. Similarly we asked to try one of the ice cream flavour, but were ignored whereas other customers were not treated this way. Very disappointed in the staff who received us that day. Our previous experience had been much better so I believe most staff are friendly and welcoming.

I’d heard of this place from a friend and decided I had to visit on Thursday amazing selection available so I opted for a bubble gum flavour absolute delicious definitely worth a visit

Had the loop and scoop, EPIC. The gelato ice cream is delicious, the banana was sooo nice. And when you mix hot freshly cooked churros it’s a winner. Deffo recommend, was stuffed afterwards.

Since this place was fairly close to where we dined last night we decided to go here for our 2nd dessert of the evening. My wife dropped me off so I could grab a takeout. Parking isn’t great. The shop stands out a mile away with its bright colours. On entry it reminded of an American over-the-top shop. I didn’t mind it to be fair. Staff were pleasant enough. They have a wide variety of options. I went for for 2 loop scoops. For my wife I chose the biscoff with vanilla brownie and salted caramel pretzel ice cream. I got the chocolate and nuts with milky bar and coconut ice cream. It came to £17 which I thought was expensive. However, the were tasty, despite already feeling full. The churros were crisp but with a softish centre. The biscoff had the better flavour but both were great. The ice creams were also good but I’ve certainly had better. I didn’t get much of the milkybar flavour but the coconut was nice. The brownie was nice with chunks of brownie throughout and the pretzel was not bad. Perhaps if we gave this place a go when we were hungry then it might be 5 stars but I don’t feel that it was worth the price and had had better ice creams before.

I had never heard of Loop & Scoop. I do however love ice cream. Let’s just say this place exceeded all expectations. The service was great. The place was cozy and comfortable. The presentation of their desert was everything and the ice cream with churros tasted that much better. I got the Scottish tablet I’ve cream in a bowl and let me tell you, definitely did not disappoint! 🍨😋
