Great craic. Staff are super friendly. Always feel welcome!

Don't use you phone in this pub or a thick skin head who enjoys "coca cola" too much will try and start on you. When you show him that you haven't videoed him at all he will get upset because he thinks he's the main character of the universe. Other people in the pub will then get angry at you and accuse you of filming them. You will repeatedly show them your phone to prove that they are wrong. They will then get ever more angry because they love "coca cola". This place should be shut down. Edit: As the venue was so kind as to reply to my review, I thought I'd better clarify a few things: I'd been in the pub and using my phone for a good 45 minutes before the incident occurred. Everything was fine until the customer in question arrived. If the staff had any concerns about the way I was looking at my phone, they did not raise them with me. If the staff had been bothered about the way I was using my phone, they could have just looked over my shoulder and seen I was reading the Guardian or texting my Mum. The customer who took exception to me looking at my phone did not ask me politely what I was doing. Instead, he aggressively accused me of videoing him. Wanting to avoid any problems, I approached him in a friendly manner and explained his mistake. CCTV would confirm this. I showed him the media on my phone. He was not entitled to see this, but as I was trying to calm him down it was the right thing to do. The customer remained aggressive and paranoid and accused me of filming him and deleting the video. I continued to reason with him until it became clear that he was too aggressive and paranoid to be reasoned with. At this point, I impolitely pointed out that I had no desire or reason to film him. This was when the staff, who had vacated the bar to do some other job, returned and overheard what I'd said. In hindsight, I realise that it's likely the customer in question had timed his paranoid aggression for when the staff were away from the bar for just this reason. After a member of staff tried to settle things down, I realised the customer who had accosted me was far too paranoid and aggressive to listen to reason. I returned to my table where I intended to continue quietly drinking my pint and looking at my phone. The customer who had aggressively accosted me continued to act in an aggressive and paranoid manner. This behaviour continued to such a degree that, ultimately, it was likely he was committing a public order offence. The atmosphere in the bar was incredibly tense. I was looking at my phone and drinking my pint. The paranoid and aggressive customer was being paranoid and aggressive. In some ways I felt sorry for the staff as they clearly expected this kind of behaviour from the individual in question and were obviously intimidated by him. The staff were correct to say the incident should have ended when I showed the paranoid and aggressive customer my phone. It did not. It did not because the paranoid and aggressive customer was determined to cause problems. Strong advice to the licensee(s) Being able to spot when a customer is paranoid and aggressive and understanding why they might be behaving in this way is not "stereotyping". It is a basic element of a substance awareness policy. You may wish to provide in-depth staff training on this matter. If the aggressive and paranoid customer who was clearly looking for trouble was indeed a regular, ignoring his behaviour puts you at great legal peril. Should he assault a customer or a member of staff it's highly likely you would be sued for damages. The fact he was a known health and safety risk that you failed to deal with would likely invalidate your insurance and leave you personally liable for substantial damages. In both the above scenarios the premises licence would be at risk. I've been drinking in North Shields pubs for almost 25 years. I drank in some of the most notorious local establishments back when the town was still considered "a no-go area". This is the worst aggro I have ever encountered in any North Shields pub.

Fabulous cocktails made from scratch and not the usual 'mixes' that a lot of bars are fond of using. Lots to choose from and lovely staff to serve them. Very reasonable price, and a cracking buy one get one half price makes it even more pleasing.

Came to Longsands Après bar for a pint with a friend, very chilled atmosphere. Lots of cool decor to look at around the cafe and there is also a guitar you can play if you wish to do so (not my thing). The staff here are brilliant and Danny pours a great pint. Had a pint of Brewdog Planet Pale which they now have on tap. There is also a wall of their own clothing line products which look great and are a good price. Overall great experience and I will definitely come back again.

What a great little place to visit right in the heart of North Shields. Staff (on this occasion Danny) so friendly and efficient. Will definitely be back Danny for a gin cocktail and the quiz!

A great little cafe/apparel shop. A chilled ski lodge vibe in which to enjoy a coffee or something stronger. They also make some amazing brownies, and blondies!

I can't even begin to say how great this place is. Bar tenders are next-level welcoming, good prices, great drinks Selection, and a really lovely venue make this one of my favourite places to drink in a long time. 11/10

Popped in Christmas eve for a last minute present for the husband. Two lovely ladies helped my young son and I choose a t shirt. They were so smiley and full of joy, it was a pleasure to shop here. Thanks!

A company ive bought from for years, when i found out they were opening in north shields i was over the moon, picked an order up from there and from the minute i walked in i felt at ease, the staff were welcoming and very attentive, the shop felt warm cosy and smelt amazing, to combine alchol cake and longsands clothing is a dream, il be back time again

First visit today and will be back. Lovely cosy place with a good atmosphere. Friendly and very helpful staff.
