We visit this bar every time we come to Northshields and really enjoy our time in the bar. Staff are really friendly and the prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended

No hot food available but a selection of cold snacks which are great! Great choice of draft beers, ciders and ales and also spirits. Staff are brilliant 👏and friendly, great bar👍

Awesome pub with upstairs and a great bar downstairs The beer garden looks amazing with bottle beer bar.

The owners are lovely people very welcoming group would definitely recommend going there for a few drinks or the football!

Lush chilled bar ,nice staff ,super drinks selection & they have a basement bar attached that shows all the football inside & out the premises ,there’s a big beer garden at the rear not a lot of people know about .

Most Fridays I go there, never disappointed lovley staff never an issue full marks all though the toilets are tiny.

Can't thank the manager and his staff enough for a fantastic afternoon on Friday, we had a surprise reunion for a dear friend's birthday who has had a stroke and hadn't seen many of his ex colleagues for 12 months, the Two Pennies was a lovely cosy venue, the staff are all really lovely and helpful and the buffet they put on for us was fantastic albeit far too much, very good value for money, and the music was great, I wud 100% recommend this venue for a party, thank you so much, Karen

Lovely pub, with great choice of beers. Barmaid Claire is friendly and efficient. Toilets are spotlessly clean, with particularly nice hand wash soap! Well recommended

Great little bar with plenty of outdoor seats. As a ginger skinned person I really appreciate the covered seating and there's a really good range of drinks available.

Attended an engagement party . Staff really lovely and it has a nice atmosphere my only negative is that there was nowhere near enough seating , we had to stand all night .

A good independent pub in North Shields. Comprising of two rooms. Friendly and efficient staff. Good drinks. If you want to watch sport, their sister basement bar, will show it.

Great place to sit back with a pint and watch the world go by. Excellent selection of drinks and fantastic entertainment.

This is a great bar with great beers on tap and in the fridge. Really good attentive staff and a nice atmosphere. There is also a really nice sun trap of a beer patio out the front. The bar also hosts a number of events including a weekly quiz and a “boozy choir”.

Great little bar sometimes has entertainment on in the bar also has a theater for shows also

Canny little pub, been popping in and out since it has opened. Good in the warmer months to sit outside in the beer garden. Staff friendly, decent selection of beers. Not tried the food but that looks canny

First time here. It's about 10 mine walk from home. I have to disagree with a previous reviewer about food being basic. Yes it ain't a la carte. But it is excellent quality food. I had special. Hot beef sandwich and chips. Was fab. Lashings of gravy. Condiments a plenty. And ye don't get this very often, but real chips. Not frozen c**p. I really enjoyed the meal. Nice pint of Blue Moon Citrus Wheat Beer. Lovely, welcoming staff too. All I would need for 5*+ is a couple of decent real ales. Apart from that highly recommended.

A good relatively new pub on the old square, nice friendly staff and really proppa chips, what more could you ask for. Sitting area at the front which gets the sun all day.
