I had a take away from here and although the food was good I found it to be expensive for what I had. There can be no complaint about the food except to say that it was nothing extraordinary. Looked good and tasted good. My gripe would be the higher than expected price. I had Sweet and Sour Chicken (Hong Kong Style), Special Fried Rice and Prawn Toast. Cost was £23.40. Just seems a lot to me for a take out meal and one as common as that. I know prices are continuously rising, so maybe I shouldn't be so surprised? Also, maybe I should check the prices before I order? However... Would I recommend? The food was good and plentiful but for the price I wouldn't return.

We have only had takeaways from here, food is always superb. For us the portions are a little too big but can't complain about that now can we.

The duck was awful. Like hard crumbs. It must’ve been reheated from the day before. Not one soft bit of meat. All just crispy, hard dry crumbs! Never seen anything like it tbh!

After living in Malaysia for 10 years, it’s always hard to find somewhere with good Malaysian food. This place is exceptional and authentic. We ordered the beef rendang, nasi lemak and kuey teow noodles - they were very very good - highly recommend!!!

Was looking at the fish in the tank in the restaurant while outside with two friends at around midnight. A lady in a white Mercedes A-class drove past and said "get away from my building" presumably the landlord or owner of the restaurant, despite us not even touching the building. We were not considering going to the restaurant previously to be honest but now we're definitely not with the insecurity this individual who is involved in it has shown.

I had half aromatic duck and some ribs. Both dishes were far too dry and just not very nice. Standard is quite low in this place and feels careless and sloppy. If anbyone opened a rival Asian food restaurant in the area they would be raking in the money. These guys have no competition so can afford to be so sloppy.

Service was class. We were well taken care of by a couple of lovely gentlemen. The salt and pepper appetizer was a crowd favorite for us. The mains were slightly too saucey and were very sweet. Would happily come again to try something different.

Choo Chee Grilled Sea Bass was delicious, but there should be more than one fish! Prawns overcooked in the mee goreng. Wonderful soft shell crab and vegetable green curry. Polite delivery person.

Our go to takeaway. The menu is wide and covers Chinese. Mtaylasia specials and Thai. They have a great app and will always accommodate allergies. Great local firm.

Girlfriend liked the rendang curry, I loved my Thai green curry. Pretty fast, friendly, not bad price. Definitely recommend.

Lovely asian food with variety of asian cuisines from malaysian to thai and newly introduced indo chinese dishes, my all time favourite in starters is salt and pepper chicken, chicken lollipop, stir fries and popular dishes in main include slow cooked malaysian rendang curry, nasi lemark, keow theo rice noodles. Good thing is they can make custom dishes as per your need and taste.

Delicious food, I have been here many times with various friends and family. They all loved it. I like the most here is salt and paper chicken, chicken lollipop and fried flat noodles.

Use to regularly order from this place. NOT any more. Quality of food has dropped dramatically, the communication is terrible, orders are mixed up, they don't take note of allergies. Avoid!

I had a takeaway on Friday night (15.09.2023) bought through Deliveroo. I found a piece of black plastic and clear plastic in my food. Please be careful when ordering from here. Deliveroo were very good and refunded the meal, I am yet to hear from the restaurant.

Great food, reasonable prices and lovely staff (Mick even offers to hold our baby while we eat). I would recommend trying Bento Box, Mie Goreng and Crispy duck!

A busy restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. The service was great, nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing. A wide selection of dishes on the menu cooked to perfection and the portion size was large. Overall a great experience, we will definitely be back!

Used this take away twice while visiting my boyfriend. First time they got our order completely wrong (despite me pointing to it on the menu) so we had to wait an extra 15 minutes while they corrected their error. Second time round following perusing the menu online we decided on a set menu for £18.00. I was left shocked when we aren't to be told its £18.00 each! My local takeaway in Greenwich offers a very similar Set 1 for £24.00 all in. I don't know how they can justify their prices given the quality int anything special and on both occasions the restaurant was empty.

Good service, however few issues with the food itself. Was surprised at the heat levels of the food, especially being Malaysian. Not even a chilli sauce option, as when we requested some, there was nothing available. Not even some sambal on the side. Things were marked as spicy on the menu, but was actually sweet. This was especially true for the Ikaan Bakar. Overall food was average. The egg fried rice felt as though it was made with broken rice, I understand that it's an odd thing to complain about, but when paying for rice in a restaurant, I would expect good whole grains of rice.

Wish I could give this place 0 stars. Revolting food - service was poor - order all wrong when restaurant was empty. BTW no chef can cook three cuisines in one kitchen. Suspect the food is all delivered frozen and microwaved- hence it being so poor.

We were really looking forward to having lovely Malaysian dishes to celebrate my Birthday but sadly it was very disappointing. The beef rendang a traditional Malay dish was particularly disappointing as it is meant to be soft and tender but instead it was beef strip with not great flavour. Mamak Lamb curry had a distinct taste of curry powder!!! Starters were ok but main courses were a big disappointment. Sadly it does not achieve what it says on the tin!

The fried is essentially regular plain rice with a few veggies drizzled in. My friend and I were very disappointed when we received this order.

The food at Longhouse is always great and I look forward to visiting again.

Amazing food. There was an issue with my order - the fault was down to the Just Eat app, not the restaurant - but they were very accommodating and easy to deal with. Would highly recommend!

Went here on a Thursday for a sisters night out. Got to say, was definitely not disappointed with this little gem! The staff were really lovely and couldn't do enough for you. Very polite and attentive. Very relaxed atmosphere with nice decor. Food was amazing; we had salt and pepper chicken and squid (highly recommend) with noodles, rice, two chicken dishes and duck with pancakes etc. A little more pircey than the typical Asian cuisine but definitely worth it considering the quality. Was not greasy whatsoever, just very tasteful and unique. They also let you take home anything that you don't finish, which is an added bonus. Will 100% come back for another meal and I look forward to it! Thank you so much for a great evening!

We ordered takeaway two weeks ago and both my wife and I got food poisoning for two days. I rang in and asked them to investigate and come back to us, all they offered is free food next time. No return call after the first one. Im sorry but thats not good enough.

Went to collect a takeaway which was excellent. Great price for fantastic and different food. However, the restaurant menu was extensive and varied. It appeared very busy but in a relaxed atmosphere. I'm definitely going back to eat there .

It has been recently redecorated, and now has a smart restaurant vibe. The food is consistently good and the waiting staff are always very friendly.

One of the best Thai's to eat at in that area, salt and pepper spicy ribs, serious tings ... Or starter platter for two. Vermicelli / massaman curry on point. Great services super friendly. Go on! Treat yourself ☺️

Only ever had one bad meal from here before , which was the Mongolian lamb , so I never ordered it again . Have had chicken chow mein and Singapore fried rice many many times .. but never like this ... 🤢🤢. Wet, smelt of curry powder, and was wet like scrambled eggs !! Put me off the whole thing !

To be honest, turning up for a *very* early lunch in the current semi- locked down state my expectations were very low. I was pleasantly surprised by quality of the food and it seemed well setup for social distancing etc. With the help out to eat out scheme it felt like a total bargain. Will go again!

This is the first time I've ever ordered from here, and I'm 100% sure I never will again. The chicken was a little pink, and the rice had a long dark hair in it. The price for the this is atrocious and it was disgusting!

Well, absolute rip off. I ordered a takaway and payed over the phone. When I got the food, I checked the reciept as it came to £23 but was charged £25 on my card. Only to then notice that I had been charged the Eat In prices over the takeout prices. My full amount should have been £18, Not randomly round up too £23 and then again to £25. I phoned them and was told they "done me a favour" in delivering my food and they charge a minimum of £25 for delivery. But in the same breath told me they dont deliver and had to order a cab to deliver my food. When I ordered the food they did not tell me any of this and it doesnt state anywhere on their Menu or website that this is the case. If it was the case I would have collected it myself! They have refused my refund. Very rude and obnoxious over the phone, as soon as I mentioned trading standards they were quick to hang up. Very dissatisfied and disappointed and will not be returning. My order was crispy chilli beef, garlic and chilli prawns and mushroom chow main with a pot of satay sauce. Not even a bag of free prawn crackers!!!

I really enjoyed my visit to this restaurant, the food was great I liked the authentic Malaysian decor, the staff were polite, I didn't book a table but didn't have to wait long and there was a nice bar area to relax with a drink

Flavourful food but not authentic Malaysian - has hoped it’ll taste like home but fair enough, it did say Malaysian fusion and clearly tailored to local taste. It was very busy with reservations and takeaways. We had the kuey teow (I had expected it to be char kuey teow but my bad for not reading it properly) - it’s nice and flavourful. Had also the massaman lamb curry - strong coconut milk flavour but doesn’t really hit the curry spot. Overall decent and okay for Asian-ish flavours

Disappointing. Came here for my birthday as I wanted a Malaysian Beef Rendang. Sadly it was nothing like a proper beef rendang but just a Chinese beef curry. Also had the wasabi king prawns which tasted of prawns in a pale green salad cream sauce. Weird. If you want authentic Malaysian food then dont come here. The food was properly cooked and the service was good but this is a Chinese restaurant not Malaysian.

Have a read of the reviews, interesting reading. One or two quite negative comments, nearly all from people with quasi oriental names. Odd. If you want truly authentic cuisine from any country, you must go to that country. I like fish and chips, Britain's. National dish and I try it in every place I can. It varies from the superb to the inedible. In my opinion the long house does a perfectly acceptable version of Malaysian cuisine Bearing in mind it is located in River head. On my visit , having booked, we were promptly greeted and shown to our table. The place was busy , most tables were occupied and clients were waiting for take aways. Our drinks were ordered and served in good time and our food order taken shortly afterwards. The starters were plentiful and delicious. The main course arrived in good time and was equally good except for the roast duck which was a little dry . For some reason there were no desserts except for pre prepared ice cream.. Only instant coffee was available. This is a statement of fact and not a criticism. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, our overall experience was a happy evening with good food and service .
