Group of five working in the area, enjoyed a fantastic meal. Staff were friendly and attentive, food excellent quality and reasonably priced. Well worth a visit.

What a fabulous Chinese take away. Quality ingredients, good portions, free parking after 5.30 pm. It is one of the best Chinese takeaways ever had. Thank you Jumbo

We absolutely love going to this Chinese, so glad that it reopened under new management and the food is as good as always the staff are lovely and friendly and the place is always clean and tidy. (Maybe a little bit dated, but we quite like it) there is a good range of food on offer and we’ve never had a bad dish. We only have sit in the restaurant so we are not able to say whether the takeaway is as good.

Not sure who’s been writing these reviews as this is most definitely THE WORST Chinese I have ever ate. I have never been scared to eat food until today. First of all I was nearly ripped off for an extra £4 by the delivery driver until I called the restaraunt and questioned it, secondly I’m not sure where they store their cans of pop but I certainly won’t be drinking them as they are absolutely filthy. The chicken was chewy and undercooked and the prawns tasted foul to the point I spat it out and would not eat it if I was paid too I can almost guarantee they would have made me ill. The egg fried rice is bright yellow and sticky very strange stuff the barbecue sauce was more like sweet and sour sauce tasted like I was drinking vinegar and the curry sauce tastes like it’s straight out of a packet. On a plus the chips and prawn crackers were nice but other than that I wouldn’t feed the rest to my dog as I’m quite sure I’d have a huge vet bill coming my way after consuming this stuff.

Great to see this restaurant reopened. Better than ever. It was by far the best Chinese food my wife & I have ever tasted. Front of house staff were ex Red Chamber & the service was first class.

Used to like going here, it has a note on the door, saying its closed for redecoration. Funny no sign of anything, sounds more like immigration have probably raided the place, been ringing the place various times from October to December 2022, but no one picks up, even though it was engaged one time. Shame really.

Good is normally really good from here , have been using for years , however nowadays , they just don’t even answer the phone , run 7 times so far tonight , can’t get it even answered , did the same last time , ended up ordering elsewhere . They are not even on just eat anymore. Food good but no point if you can’t order it , easier to order food on a food app .

Most authentic Chinese food in Redditch. I shopped around and nothing comes close! Because of that I’m a long sun loyalist. Best dishes for me: yuk song, spare ribs, all their chow mein varieties, all sweet sour dishes, chicken balls, I can go on and on lol

1.5hrs late, cold food complete joke called them four times and had the same answer each time. “ it has just left”. Must have sent it on the back of a snail. Straight in the bin. Refund requested.

##update## We ordered a takeawy tonight. Such a shame they have been taken over. Kitchen is all different and many things nolonger able to be cooked wheat free. Prices increased and quality has gone down. Ordered duck and pancakes paid for it and it wasnt in delivery. Tried to ring back for 15 mins solid either engaged or noone answered yet only one table in when food was collected 5 mins previously. Doubt we will be back We had a takeaway from here on saturday evening. The lady answering the phone as always was lovely and happy to check all food ordered was suitable as myself and my son cannot eat wheat. When we collected the food it was delicious, the best weve had in a very long time, even from the predecessors the red chamber, for takeaway. We will definately have it again and would recommend it. Fantastic takeaway. Thank you

Had the best Chinese food I've ever had and I've had a lot. Can't say what the take out is like but sitting in I think the food was totally delicious. The place was empty but the food was second to none.

Ordered a curry from Uber eats It was delivered a bit later than scheduled but was delicious. Also, they should try answering their phone! They might get additional business from call-in orders...

Shocking service it took 40 mins to get through to someone though the food was supposed to be delivered in 40 mins go else where guys 💯

Disgusting, spent nearly £40 and no food delivered. Phoned them and some young girl said oh well nothing we can do. Rip off merchants. Changing my money back through my bank. Do not by from them.

How hard it is to put the correct order in a bag!! Ordered food through uber eats, instead of roast duck got boiled chicken… Onion rings was undercooked and mushy!! Worst place ever!!!! 🤢

I love the food here but the delivery is a joke, 2 hours and still not arrived, when complaining staff unsympathetic and just not bothered! Useless

Visited here on the eve of 21st feb, was not the best experience we were the only couple in, which in itself is not a problem as it was only 6pm the place itself is very large and was extremely cold, we were seated and waited quite a while for someone to come over to see to us a very nice girl came over she took our drinks order, but said some one else would come to take our food order, so we waited again and waited and waited eventually someone came to take our food order, we then waited and waited for our starter to come we had ordered a mixed starter platter for 2 when they came over with that only the crispy won tons were brought? We asked where the rest was she said that was coming? She then fetched over a lettuce and something else which we asked what it was she said it was our starter? We told her that was not our order, so she took it away then fetched it back again we told her again that was not ours and could she fetch a menu so we could show her what we ordered, she bought one, we pointed out our choice then she proceeded to turn over a few pages to show us the set menu she was serving us?? Which at no point had we ever mentioned, she went away and went to find her waitresses pad to see what she had wrote down which turned out to be the totally wrong thing!! So then we had to wait all over again, now on a busy evening where she is taking loads of orders whilst annoying I would have been able to forgive this mistake but in a restaurant where we were the only diners I find this to be unacceptable,so then we had to wait some more! When we finally got our food and it was what we had ordered the food itself was extremely tasty and we really enjoyed it all in all we here over 2hrs and still the only 2 diners here,

Terrible experience. Food was delivered over an hour late, with two dishes missing and another dish that we never ordered. Girl who answers the phone can't communicate, might as well talk to a brick wall. Thankfully ordered through JustEat so should get a refund.

Waited over 2 hours for food to be told its still in the kitchen, extremely poor communication, extremely poor service standard over the phone. Will not use again

Food is good but delivery service is shocking. Waited 2 hours for delivery when they said it would take 1 hour. When the food arrived they had forgotten some of it. I called them back and didn't get any sort of apology they just said they would have to speak to the kitchen staff. When I tried to explain that it wasn't good enough the lady just said "ok bye". Collection is better. As I said the food is good and at least you don't have to rely on their delivery service.

Beautiful food, good prices. My order was delivered quicker than expected and piping hot. The woman on the phone was helpful, sweet and answered any question I had. I'm very happy to try this place after recommendation from a friend. Thank you!

Went to Long Sun two days ago for a family birthday and we had a lovely evening. The food was hot, very tasty and plentiful, and staff were very attentive, friendly and helpful. The quality of the food has definitely improved under the current management and represents excellent value for money. We will be going back again very soon.

Long Sun has really improved since we visited a year or so ago. The owners went above and beyond. The food was incredible. Service was prompt and staff we very warm.

Since being taken over by someone new the food has gotten so much better. We went tonight for a meal and the standard of food was amazing. Super friendly service but a little bit quite, possibly due to not being able to mix households still. But hopefully business will pick up as its definitely one of the better places around redditch for chinese food
