cold tough chips and hardly any sauce

Food was lukewarm and inedible, the chips looked and tasted like they had been warmed up from the night before. This used to be one of the best chippy’s in our area , we won’t be ordering from them again.

chips not nice and some not cooked with hard bits of potato, mushy peas were cold n clumped in a lump. not the best fish either basically the worst chippy I've ever been to and won't go there again! awful

I live in Bournemouth. I used to life 100 yards from the inn plaice. I was surprised it was still there. The owner is very welcoming. The service is absolutely excellent. Even after twenty years of being away, it is still the best in Redditch.

Once again missing item. this time the fish!! £16 is expensive so to have it missing from order is outrageous

We wanted original chips & ordered Kebab meat and chips, meat was really nice, but the chips were old and cold, really dissatisfying especially from a chip shop

I love the food from here. I have been there in person too and it's a lovely friendly team. I love the food. The chips are amazing, not greasy like some can be. Portions are plenty. I do not have a negative thing to say.

You need to send drivers who can actually deliver to the door. I had to walk to the main carpark of the flats. Might as wrll walked to the fish shop. The cost of delivery is expensive I didnt have my order delivered.

Never had any problems with the food here. As usual, it was tasty and fresh.

Barely warm and looked like the food had been sat for quite a while. Not the best quality the curry sauce was the only warm thing out of the order. Disappointing really.

Ordered regular chips and small curry cost £6 extortion chips were soggy and freezing cold and curry sauce had no flavour literally water that was microwaved. Absolutely shocking never again 🤢

I ordered a mix meat and chip large loads of food as you can imagine came warm ish not hot just tested awful left over half there was a slight sour spice which I hate not what I ordered really.

fish and chips were lovely. The haddock was huge and very meaty and the batter was crispy and light. The chips were really nice too. Everything was hot. Very happy with it. I always seem to crave the haddock from The Inn Plaice

Ordered gluten free fish and chips from their menu. BEWARE……I was unwell within hours of eating

Have been going to this chip shop for over 30 years and the standard has really dropped in the last few years. The portion sizes are appalling and the chips often look reheated - maybe ones they haven’t sold at lunch? When Louis isn’t there the place is run by a bunch of kids. You expect some youngsters to lack confidence but it’s like they’ve been drained of any personality.. Feel like there is a bullying culture in there which needs stamping out - one girl looks terrified in case she gets something wrong. Really sad as had been best chip shop in Redditch - now like visiting a school canteen being run by the pupils. Sort it out - although will be trying elsewhere.

As a celiac the inn plaice has always been ideal for getting GF fish & chips however my past 2 experiences have made me really sick. Not sure if there’s been accidental cross contamination or if my body just can’t handle that type of food anymore. Either or I won’t be visiting again because there is a clear trend of me being sick & me visiting the inn palaice. Though owner & staff all seem lovely thought

Chips are okay but seems slightly overdone and taste like the oil should have already been changed. Always have to wait a while, even when only a couple of people in there.

Second time for me. The first time the chips were horrible I put it down to being late in the evening. I went again today the chips again were awful, over cooked, darker brown, even the odd batter bit was very dark and tasted a little burnt and nothing like the photos on their website. I really am disappointed 😒

The delivery arrived but they had forgotten one item, but after calling them up they delivered the missing item along with a Replacement meal within 5 minutes. Mistakes happen sometimes, but the service to get this resolved was brilliant and very fast! Great customer service.

Chips were not fresh really hard and chewy as was the batter on the roe. Haven’t ordered for a while from here as had the same problem before but tried it again and still the same. Won’t be ordering again.

Chicken meat was nice, just the donner meat was over cooked and dry as anything.

Quick service had fish and chips the fish was very long and thin(think it was half of a long piece) mostly batter and the chips were lots of little bits not what you expect for the price

Absolutely vile experience, ordered large cod and chips, haddock and chips,large battered sausage, curry sauce and onion rings. Both the haddock and cod were over battered and cold, chips on both were cold, over cooked and greasy same with the onion rings, cold greasy and looked as if they had been assaulted by a hammer before being served, and too top it all off was mega expensive at 47.50 for the above order. This isn't the first time we have had a bad experience with this fish and chips shop but will definitely be the last Will not be visiting here again and would recommend to anyone to avoid

Chips lukewarm, verging on cold. Stuck to the paper so had to chisel them off leaving potato all over the place. Ordered a regular but after having to chisel, had a small portion left. Curry sauce tasted of nothing and as thin as water. Bread roll squashed. Dire quality for the price this place charging. Never again.

The trouble is they play around with oil it tasted like a mixture of veg and lard - yuk the curry sauce horrible. The consistency sometimes burnt and dry kebab meat and over cooked chips . Left a greasy taste in my mouth although the chips weren’t greasy.Never having again . Sorry

Something about the decor tells me ignorance is bliss when it comes to cleanliness, however that doesn't mean the food was bad because it wasn't. The shop needs a spruce up

Really expensive and awful food. Mixed kebab meat n chips £8.50p and chicken was disgusting and slimy and I found a hair in it and the after taste was vile like hairspray. 🤮🤮🤮

Food was on time however, it was all pretty much cold and considering how much we pay the portion size is poor.

Very expensive £27.30 for two mini cod & small chips, plus one large cod, standard chips & small mushy peas. It was a 25 minute wait after I'd paid & was not worth the money or the wait. The batter was very thick & soggy, mushy peas very dry, chips were ok, as was the fish which is why I gave 2 ⭐ instead of 1. The lads working there were all pleasant & busy but that seemed to be with "just eat" orders. Will not be returning & wouldn't recommend. Wish I'd gone to McDonalds or KFC at least you know what you're getting.

Chicken meat and chips……Disgusting! Chicken meat not sliced or cut properly and just in massive chunks and badly burnt to the point of being inedible and was given to the dog! Chips were ok but only a few of them. Driver was very late with no apology and food was barely warm. Most expensive dog food ever bought but will never order from them again.

Worst large mixed kebab I've ever had from here. 3 strands of Doner meat 8 pieces of chicken meat and a small chips. Wont be ordering from here again.

delays assigning a driver i understand but time spent at the pickup point seemede excessive - result meal delivery was approx 1 hour

Overall really nice! Food was hot and tasty. Only thing is the curry sauce isn’t as good as others I’ve had in Redditch.
