Have been going to this chip shop for over 30 years and the standard has really dropped in the last few years. The portion sizes are appalling and the chips often look reheated - maybe ones they haven’t sold at lunch? When Louis isn’t there the place is run by a bunch of kids. You expect some youngsters to lack confidence but it’s like they’ve been drained of any personality.. Feel like there is a bullying culture in there which needs stamping out - one girl looks terrified in case she gets something wrong. Really sad as had been best chip shop in Redditch - now like visiting a school canteen being run by the pupils. Sort it out - although will be trying elsewhere.

As a celiac the inn plaice has always been ideal for getting GF fish & chips however my past 2 experiences have made me really sick. Not sure if there’s been accidental cross contamination or if my body just can’t handle that type of food anymore. Either or I won’t be visiting again because there is a clear trend of me being sick & me visiting the inn palaice. Though owner & staff all seem lovely thought

Chips are okay but seems slightly overdone and taste like the oil should have already been changed. Always have to wait a while, even when only a couple of people in there.

Food was cold and fish tasted like it was yesterday’s fish couldn’t eat it. This is the worst iv had from here normally good food been using it for yeasts but today very disappointing

it actually arrived 2 mins early but this not an option on the early bit also delivered with care

Second time for me. The first time the chips were horrible I put it down to being late in the evening. I went again today the chips again were awful, over cooked, darker brown, even the odd batter bit was very dark and tasted a little burnt and nothing like the photos on their website. I really am disappointed 😒

driver was polite but was later then expected, food was cold when arrived and you could tell it wasn't as fresh as could be.

The delivery arrived but they had forgotten one item, but after calling them up they delivered the missing item along with a Replacement meal within 5 minutes. Mistakes happen sometimes, but the service to get this resolved was brilliant and very fast! Great customer service.

Chips were not fresh really hard and chewy as was the batter on the roe. Haven’t ordered for a while from here as had the same problem before but tried it again and still the same. Won’t be ordering again.

Chicken meat was nice, just the donner meat was over cooked and dry as anything.

£11 for a regular fish and chips. Tiny portion, chips were brown and fish was all batter. Not very hot either. Really disappointed as we usually go here and are pleased- not sure what’s happened.

Quick service had fish and chips the fish was very long and thin(think it was half of a long piece) mostly batter and the chips were lots of little bits not what you expect for the price

Absolutely vile experience, ordered large cod and chips, haddock and chips,large battered sausage, curry sauce and onion rings. Both the haddock and cod were over battered and cold, chips on both were cold, over cooked and greasy same with the onion rings, cold greasy and looked as if they had been assaulted by a hammer before being served, and too top it all off was mega expensive at 47.50 for the above order. This isn't the first time we have had a bad experience with this fish and chips shop but will definitely be the last Will not be visiting here again and would recommend to anyone to avoid

Chips lukewarm, verging on cold. Stuck to the paper so had to chisel them off leaving potato all over the place. Ordered a regular but after having to chisel, had a small portion left. Curry sauce tasted of nothing and as thin as water. Bread roll squashed. Dire quality for the price this place charging. Never again.

Great food, great Boss & staff.

The trouble is they play around with oil it tasted like a mixture of veg and lard - yuk the curry sauce horrible. The consistency sometimes burnt and dry kebab meat and over cooked chips . Left a greasy taste in my mouth although the chips weren’t greasy.Never having again . Sorry

Something about the decor tells me ignorance is bliss when it comes to cleanliness, however that doesn't mean the food was bad because it wasn't. The shop needs a spruce up

Really expensive and awful food. Mixed kebab meat n chips £8.50p and chicken was disgusting and slimy and I found a hair in it and the after taste was vile like hairspray. 🤮🤮🤮

Food was on time however, it was all pretty much cold and considering how much we pay the portion size is poor.

Very expensive £27.30 for two mini cod & small chips, plus one large cod, standard chips & small mushy peas. It was a 25 minute wait after I'd paid & was not worth the money or the wait. The batter was very thick & soggy, mushy peas very dry, chips were ok, as was the fish which is why I gave 2 ⭐ instead of 1. The lads working there were all pleasant & busy but that seemed to be with "just eat" orders. Will not be returning & wouldn't recommend. Wish I'd gone to McDonalds or KFC at least you know what you're getting.

Chicken meat and chips……Disgusting! Chicken meat not sliced or cut properly and just in massive chunks and badly burnt to the point of being inedible and was given to the dog! Chips were ok but only a few of them. Driver was very late with no apology and food was barely warm. Most expensive dog food ever bought but will never order from them again.

Worst large mixed kebab I've ever had from here. 3 strands of Doner meat 8 pieces of chicken meat and a small chips. Wont be ordering from here again.

Very small portion of chips I ordered a regular portion. There was not enough to share between 2 people.

Half our order was missing. Instead of a no.cook Saturday. I had to give my kids mine and my husband meal and cook for us. Not the first time this has happened from.here. Its has put us of from ordering from here again

Delivery was about 10 mins after time (acceptable, but lose a star). Fish & chips were good.

Overall really nice! Food was hot and tasty. Only thing is the curry sauce isn’t as good as others I’ve had in Redditch.

Ordered two kebabs. One was old meat very dry and half dried/burnt the other was fresh kebab meat. Very disappointing I feel the old stuff should of been thrown away. Order arrived 10 minutes after but was still warm.

It’s simple quality over quantity

Fish & chips was average and chips looked hours old and fish was okay but nothing special. Unable to eat the curry sauce because of high salt content in the sauce and that's all I could taste. This is the first time using this business so it's a shame that it didn't meet expectations. Delivery driver was early very polite and food was hot enough. Might try different dish next time before going elsewhere.

Something was amiss with the oil and it was very greasy. Dry on the inside and a grease soaked on the outside. Onion rings should ideally be ring shaped not a mass of uncooked onion and grease. Chips were ok but as above a little undercooked and swimming in liquid. Not impressed sadly.

The most appalling chips I have ever set eyes on. Total waste of money. Not the first time either, this place never ceases to disappoint.

Chips were a little under done but tasted lovely despite this. Gluten free cod had a perfect batter and was well cooked. Owner was extremely friendly and there was no problem with ordering via telephone, We collected our order within 30 mins and packaging was clearly labeled with gluten free. Will make a return visit when next in the area.

Fish was dripping in grease other than that everything else we ordered was fine.

Whilst we did have a slight issue with our order, I cannot fault them as it was rectified quickly and they were very friendly whilst doing it. It’s hard to find gluten free takeaway options so great to know they are there. Will definitely order again. Thank you!

The pie and chips I ordered were the worst I have ever had , will not be using this place again £34 for pie chips and sausage and kebab and chips ! Joke !!!!
