Lovely canal cruise from Little Venice to Camden Market

Amazing. The wine pairing was a farandole of really nice wines from all over the world. We had a really really nice time there. They times the dishes perfectly with the sail. Highly recommend. One of my favourite London dining experiences. Amazing food, unpretentious atmosphere from lovely staff, and Well worth the money if you love seafood!

This was an amazing experience. originally I was not convince with the menu however I was put back to my place. Everything was beautifully cooked and presented. We loved it and we would not hesitate to repeat or recommend to anyone. Great Experience.

Very, very nice experience on a 3 hr lunch cruise up to Camden along the Grand Union Canal. Very friendly & professional staff made us feel at ease and were extremely helpful. There was plenty of delicious food courses which the three of us thought well-presented and executed with excellent quality ingredients. The hake dish was our favourite. Gluten intolerance was handled efficiently. We indulged in the extras ; a half dozen Gallagher’s Speciale oysters and the 10g of Exmoor caviar. Both utterly delicious. Cocktails were on point, one good IPA and reasonable but well-curated wine list. Going through tunnels and the views were fun and people-watching was as much fun for those looking into our little fish tank as it was for us gawking at them. Great experience and we’ll deffo return with visiting friends!!

I have been on the barge twice now, once when we hired it privately for my birthday and once again for the regular dinner cruise on Saturday night. Can’t fault the food, amazing and delicious and the atmosphere and staff and crew are great. Portions are small, but with so many courses, perfectly filling. Highly recommend!

Really cool experience of dining while going along the canal. Especially during summer Food was good, the hake being the standout dish. Service was very good.

It was nice, but expensive for what you received, the service was slow, despite them not being bust. For me, there was no wow! Factor!

If I could leave more than 5 stars I absolutely would!! We rented out the Prince Regent’s for our small wedding and could not have dreamt of a better venue to host our guests. The food was delicious and very fresh, many delightful small courses which left us all very full at the end and the team were very accommodating for everyone’s food requirements. The service was absolutely outstanding! We were made to feel so welcomed and like the boat was ours. We’ve always loved the canal and it was such a wonderful experience to share with our loved ones that will leave us all life-long memories to cherish. Again, I cannot recommend this place enough if you’re looking to host a special event. We cannot wait to come back again and again for our anniversaries!

An absolutely incredible experience! The food was amazing and not rushed at all, just perfect, whilst Lucy and Dante kept everything running extremely smoothly, were fantastic hosts and great fun. We loved it and will definitely be back when we're in London again.

What a treasured find. We were enjoying a walk at little Venice in London hoping we could find a wonderful place to enjoy dinner. We came across there's eclectic floating restaurant. They had me with "salt baked sea bass." The owner is amazing as well has her staff. The food offerings beat our expectations. We enjoyed some fabulous drinks as well. Highly recommend this floating restaurant. But wait, there's more, they have two floating restaurants. One travels up and back the canal while the other is stationary. Stop reading and go try it out for yourself. Cheers

Okish seafood in general nothing like wow. Price kinda expected like 50 pounds for one lobster. The taste we were expecting better was than this. Would think you go to an average Portuguese restaurant this is what you get, definitely not a highly rated seafood restaurant in london. You go to the wright brothers and get much better taste. The cooking and ingredients does not live up to the high reviews and prices. More like you are paying a premium for a semi- river view which unfortunately when we dined in it was a whole “rubbish collector” truck boat blocking the view.

I really unique dining experience in London. I thought the food was good but could be improved. Portions were very small for the price (one scallop per person for example) and some dishes were a miss. I think better to have bigger, heartier portions—for example it would have been nice to have a menu with seafood classics such as clam chowder, seafood linguini, lobster rolls etc. Current menu felt like it tried too hard for presentation rather than food satisfaction. Some dishes were too salty as well. However, we still had a lot of fun and enjoyed ourselves, and would go back. Just note that the tip isn’t included in the £75 set menu fee that you pay when booking, which I thought was odd.

This was our 2nd private event onboard the Prince Regent and certainly wont be our last. As soon as Niamh started her safety briefing, we knew we were in for a great night. Throughout the evening she was absolutely superb as were all of the team onboard. The food was even better than the time before and we did not think it could get better that that then. Incredible food!! Chef - you are amazing! A lot of household names within the travel industry were in attendance - people who travel the world, have eaten is glorious places globally and the feedback has been outstanding. Thank you for making our event perfect in every way. Please pass on our thanks to all involved and to Lucy too for such a great handover to Niamh. What a team you have!!

The boat is a fun way to see London from a different perspective. Great food: there is a set tasting menu, so I tried things I wouldn't normally have chosen, and enjoyed it all. Staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. Shout out to Niamh for being so attentive to everyone's needs.

One of the best and most unique London experiences I’ve had! The food was so fresh and delicious, service was excellent, and the cruise was so scenic and relaxing. Was recommended by a friend and my family and I will be recommending to others too :)

What a wonderful way to have lunch, a cruise along the little venice canal, sipping wine and enjoying a very well prepared 5 course meal. The staff are lovely I really recommend this to anyone who wants to enjoy the small pleasures in life.

Couldn’t recommend enough! We came for our anniversary and it didn’t disappoint! The staff, the atmosphere and of course the food were just perfect!

Nice experience overall. The whole trip both ways takes about 3 hours. The boat itself is pretty comfortable and can fit around 30 people. The interior is nice as well. The views along the way are okay but there are only a few spots which are super nice. Overall the canal area may be slightly dodgy. The food was good in terms of the taste but the portions were very small. I constantly felt hungry. They also had bread and butter as a separate item on the menu which was very weird given that neither bread nor butter were any special. The staff was friendly but some aspects of the service felt weird. For example, I ordered a glass of wine and they brought me half a glass and told me they ran out of this wine and would only charge me half of the price. First of all, they did not ask me whether so want half a glass and just informed me of their decision. Secondly, they weirdly and randomly charged a bit more than half of the price. This is the place I can recommend if you are not short on the budget or maybe as a gift to try something new but the price/quality is a bit on the lower side in my opinion

Best fish and chips in whole London.

Cannot recommend this place enough. The ambiance, the service, the food, the selection all wonderful. So unique and different yet had some feel good favourites. I do recommend the cod and mussels! Devine! And such a perfect wine list! The staff are knowledgeable and do know how to pair well and easily on had for recommendations for wine! Devine! Gorgeous! Wonderful! Don't walk, run for lunch! Wonderful experience ! Amazing team, we had a wonderful time! There is a nice variety of menus and add ons. Just try to understand what the total cost will be, and where the initial deposit stands. Both times I joined with 2 different friends, we got a bit puzzled, I think this happened because if you pick the wine tasting at the booking time, it's not eventually included.

I ate fish and chips. It's very delicious, I want you to try it at least once. The store staff are also very kind.

A fun way to pass two hours with a tasty lunch and views from the Regents Canal. Took my 84 year old Mum and she loved it!

Superb place. Best food I’ve had in a long time. Went there with a friend of the owner as our wedding present and the service was incredible. Great wine selection.

Tasting menu was excellent accompanied by wine flight. Great personal service provided by attentive and knowledgeable staff supported by an efficiently run kitchen operating from very small galley. An excellent lunchtime cruise experience which I thoroughly recommend.

We had a great night here. You’re sitting by the water in a rigorously renovated boat, so the atmosphere is great. The staff were very attentive and nice. Our dishes were all amazing, especially the oysters. We also had an espresso martini and a whiskey. All round a great dinner experience. It does not come cheap however. Still highly recommended!

It was an absolute joy to hire Prince Regent/London Shell Co for our wedding. From the planning to the execution on the day, the team took care of the day with the utmost care and it has been a fabulous venue to host an intimate gathering. Thank you so much to Lucy and the team!

We sat outside on the terrace. Service a bit over-enthusiastic, clearing plates before we'd all finished, etc. Oysters were lovely. My crab gazpacho was delicious. Disappointing fish main dominated by the fennel. We were celebrating, so pushed the boat out ( excuse the pun!), but rather overpriced I thought.

Great food and awesome experience

A small local eatery serving fresh fish and seafood from a modest menu that changes daily. It is also a fish mongers, so the menu us based on what is fresh that day. Excellent and clever wine list and great staff. It has become a regular spot for us and I suspect will remain so. Dinner booking recommended, but lunch walk in seems OK.

Superb fish, well thought out dishes very well cooked. I had three dishes and the three times I had to stop myself from licking the plate. Fabulous mackerel.

They opened a fishmonger on Swains Lane and the prices are OUTRAGEOUS. 2 small salmon fillets £16; 800g of clams (1/3 of which wouldn't close pre cooking and had to be chucked) £26. Moxons in Camden Passage - EXACTLY the same clams £19 a kilo and all were good ! I can only assume they think the folk of Primrose Hill are stupid.

Such a lovely sail! Fantastic food, beautifully presented and each course considered, interesting and delicious. Great wine, as carefully selected/advised by the staff. Relaxed atmosphere but also felt perfect for a special occasion. Highly recommend and looking forward to coming back.

We were greeted by the chef who was pretty miserable and rude. We waited 15 minutes for the menu - as they had to be printed. After receiving the new menu, some of the items were out of stock, despite being the only ones in the restaurant. We were over charged for additional items we didn't order. In addition, we were misinformed about a promotion. Food was tasty but service was really poor. No gesture by the manager and a full service charge added.

Love the food. Cruising through the London canals adds to the experience. Staff are amazing. Every time I have eaten with them has been fantastic. Recommend booking on one of their monthly jazz nights if you can.

Stunning location sea food, shell fish & wine!

Every dish is delicious. The service is attentive and friendly. The selection of wine reasonable. Overall a great place for couples and small groups of friends.

Top London seafood meal! Everything was perfect, from the (obviously) seafoody location of a tastefully converted barge, to the friendly & attentive service (kids felt very welcome) and perfectly executed modern British style seafood. The star was actually the kids' off-menu hake fish & chips; the fish was tender & sweet, batter perfectly flakey. Crab, beetroot, taramasalata all notably delicious. We were on the Duchess, kids kept on asking for the barge that sails which we will likely be back for!

Michelin star, incoming? Scrumptious meal here - everything was divine. Special shoutout to the miso oysters (yum), vermicelli noodles w/ cod and mussels (a flavour explosion) and the chocolate dessert (I mean, just look at that glazed orange and crumble on top..)

I searched and searched for a good venue to book for my friends 30th. I came across this venue and the event more than superseded my expectations. If you want to book a group event there is not better choice. The food was 5 star and the service was even better. Aoife, vita, Eliza made the experience unique, special and one to remember. I couldn’t recommend more highly for any event

Dinner was delicious but the desert said dark chocolate. Nothing dark about it and if your gonna except cash then i find it unprofessional that we have to make sure we have the exact amount because you can't be bothered to keep change in the till. Am saying this because we wanted to tip

One of my favourite places but last visit was a little disappointing. Fish and chips off the menu and plaice main was not up to much. Starter and wine excellent and service was good, both waitresses very helpful and enthusiastic.

Lovely location, outdoor seating, and quality produce, but the real stars of the show are the oysters - absolutely phenomenal.

Perfect place to celebrate a special occasion, in a unique setting. Trully excellent fish and very friendly staff. Next time we’ll give the return boat a try!

We had the most memorable anniversary meal aboard the Shell and Co The service was totally impeccable from an enthusiastic and knowledgable young team. The Hampshire sparkling wine matched our food and and mood perfectly, The Lindesfarne Oysters were incredible, the lobster and crab starter delicious and the Ray for our main was perfectly cooked. We were treated with a wonderful mixture of vip and family. Highly recommend and will visit again

For some reason, I got recommended to come here for fish and chips which they didn’t have it in the menu. Tried other dishes instead, they were pretty good and got nice presentation. The only thing I didn’t like in the fish platter was the smoked mackerel pate. The meal doesn’t look a lot but quite filling at the end.

One of the most stunning food experiences I have ever had…. a slow meander up Regents Canal enjoying exquisite food, drink and exceptional hosts. I can’t encourage you enough to partake in this culinary delight. Thank you so so much!!

Went on the Prince Regent for my boyfriends birthday and we cannot fault it at all! The food was lovely and the staff were amazing and so friendly! The boat ride was amazing and we saw some lovely places. The whole boat sang happy birthday to my boyfriend which was lovely and he also had a candle in his dessert! Would highly recommend coming on this boat!

Quirky, eccentric, elegant, homely, friendly and delicious experience! Capacity is very small (given its on the boat) so make sure to book well in advance, it is worth all the wait and excitement!

My husband and I were visiting Little Venice for the first time. We've lived in East London all our lives!! The Grand Duchess drew us in and we had to sample their food. It lived up to all our expectations. Food delicious and we enjoyed our 3 courses immensely. I felt nice and relaxed in there. Staff very welcoming. KT

We had eaten before on the static boat based in Paddington and had such a great experience that my partner booked for us to return for my birthday treat. The whole team were fantastic, really friendly and personable. Match this with some of the best food we’d tasted in London and you’ve got a 5* review! If I could give more stars I would because we also took a trip on the boat this time that took us all the way to Camden Lock And back. Will recommend to everyone we know. Whether in London for a stay or living there, do not miss!

We were about to pass by this wonderful restaurant on our way to another in the Angel. So glad we stopped to check the menu. What we read convinced us to stop and book a table. We were not disappointed, the food and service was superb. I had the grilled sardines to start and then followed with the seafood platter. Both wonderful. Pudding were just as good too. The menu is not massive, but that is a plus point as what is on there is cooked to perfection with generous portions too. Up there in our restaurant favourites and top seafood one. Give it a go!

Excellent kitchen We really liked five stars

Lovely patio dining on the stationary boat (Grand Duchess) with inventive and incredible seafood -- among the best seafood restaurants we've eaten at even when compared with well-known ones along the California Coast (our home state). The oysters are incredible, especially the ones that were seasoned (I've never had a pickle slice in my oysters but it was a perfect pairing with the brininess of the oysters). The tomato / raw fish appetizer was delicious. I also had a trout with labnah, a pairing I'd never seen before but which was amazing-tasting. The kids-sized fish and chips were very fresh and super-crunchy (and most importantly a big hit with the kids). The staff were friendly and efficient and were very kind to accommodate two travel-weary parents and 2 very young kids on their patio on a busy Saturday night.

Best Gin and tonic I ever had. Had a fish platter which was delicious but I have to go back for the catch of the day. Service was absolutely lovely. Overall, a wonderful afternoon.

Good service and good food. On a sunny day, those few tables outside are really worth it. The missing fifth star is due to what I believe might be one of the most expensive (and I don’t mean sophisticated) wine lists I have ever come across anywhere in the world.

So Paddington Station. Union Canal. Impromptu Lunch. On a Boat. ON. A. BOAT. I am a fan of seafood and shellfish and this place was a great find on a random walk along the canal. Arrived too late for the lunch menu but they were serving starters which was in actuality what was needed. Decided to sit on the boat because that is just cool and was seated with no fuss. The drinks were ok, nothing crazy. Ordered a gin and tonic and I thought my tonic was flat but you know, not a massive issue. Ordered a combination of dressed and naked Oysters and had two types of tabasco to add if required. The Fish Platter which was ordered was great. A four-way of fish, bread and vegetables. The best part of the platter. The pickled vegetables! They were incredible. I would have a plate of those solo. This was a quick bite to eat but a memorable one. I very much need to return to try the fish offerings of the main menu because from what I saw they all looked amazing. Was I satisfied? Yes. Will I return? Yes. Should you go? Yes.

Friendly staff and decent food but incredibly long wait times.

Consistently one of my favourite fish restaurants in London. Delicious, straight forward dishes, always very well executed. The wine list is very well curated and the service is personal and charming. We ate on the static boat this time, which is comfortable and spacious. Dined on the cruising boat other times before and it is such a fun experience, though seating is very limited so make sure you book well in advance.

Extremely rude toxic men working here, actually made a woman cry. Avoid.

Brilliant selection of tasty fish dishes reasonably priced

We absolutely loved this. Steph/Steff(?) and their team were on point from start to finish and made the experience so special for us. We were lucky enough to have the bar seats which meant we could watch the world go by whilst tucking into the expertly crafted food produced by the head and sous chef. Thank you so much for our meal and for the laughs. We visited on Saturday 14th May. From the headteacher and the guy that has worked in hospitality for ages 😉🙂 we will visit Vauxhall soon!

Had a great time aboard the Grand Duchess! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was lovely - the kitchen is on the boat so you can see how everything is made to order. We tried the soda bread to start and I had the sole with a mushroom butter sauce, which was perfectly cooked and tasted incredible. Will definitely be back!
