Brilliant deli - reminded me of the Italian delis in London's Soho from my childhood. Great spaghetti and Guanciale which we just happened to need for a recipe. And in Dunstable of all places

Customer service skills nil owner is so rude and he pounces on you soon as you walk in and bugs u all the time when shopping and he tries to sell out of date food when point it out it goes straight back on shelving is that illegal?

Mum and l had an amazing lunch today in Lombardo’s! We had veggy panini and chicken panini. The both of them were lovely. Very fresh and tasty! Definitely we will come back to try more things! Very friendly and kind staff. Little gem in Dunstable❤️

We often go to Lombardo's for a cuppa and cake as a family treat after work. So I went with our travel mugs and picked up 3 various coffees and a delicious piece of Carrot Cake. Great friendly service which is usual there and 3 happy punters at home!

Due to work I have had the pleasure of being able to visit this great Italian for the past 4 years. Sadly job now ended in Dunstable so no longer can I have the best coffee in the area and the superb cake selection. Last visit I had a very large canoli which was delicious. Will miss my visits

I love this place, it's been part of our town for longer than I can remember. The staff are brilliant so helpful, the deli area is amazing, so many tasty treats. And if you want to pop in for a coffee and a bit of cake your in for a treat.

Ive reviewed here on a few occasions and always been good. Well this visit had the best cheesecake since I went to Sarges in New York. It was so tasty and light with just a hint of lemon. Washed down with a good cappuccino, what more do you need.

The food is amazing here - all homemade and great quality. Absolutely love the bakery and cakes section, particularly the casta de nata (custard tarts!) and sweet filled cannelloni - both a must try. Coffee is also delicious and there are some seats in there to sit with a drink/cake. You can order lunch here but I tend to stop for fresh baking ingredients and snacks. There's a huge range of fresh fruit, veg and also a large range of pasta with unusual shapes/types that you wont find anywhere else. If you are in town on a weekday/Saturday be sure to pop in and check it out as we are lucky to have such a good delicatessen.

Visited with my partner and enjoyed the ambience and choice of authentic Italian ingredients in the range of food stuff available for sale. We spontaneously ordered a plate of mixed seafood and cold meats with cheese with our coffee and were a little surprised at how expensive they were (£8.95 per plate) but the food was delicious. One big tip is to ask upfront what you will be charged for off menu selections to ensure its within your budget. Food was tasty and service was top notch so looking forward to our next visit as the fresh fruit and vegetables we bought in the grocer were top notch too!

the people of Dunstable are very lucky to have this fine establishment---really good coffee and paninis and filled focaccia a brilliant cake and pastry selection--a huge selection of pasta and quality fruit and vegetables served by cheerful and knowledgable staff--perfect

This is the place I always visit when in Dunstable on work. Went with a colleague for cake and coffee. Drinks always good and we had a very nice apple strudel and a very tasty chocolate gateaux.

If you love Italy Lombardo's gives you that hospitality that you escape from Dunstable to Italy itself. The cafe food is excellent and the shop side is fantastic. Try there big bags of coffee beans.

What an alladins cave for food lovers! Amazing fresh cakes, delicious meats and fish. Great wine. Alex and Guss know exactly where every bit of food or drink in there shop comes from, what it tastes like, what to have with it. Great coffee too! If you like food, you’ll love this place!

Lovely welcome by the owner and his colleagues made us feel very welcome - gentle humour, gracious and efficient service, lovely coffee and food. All the tables were buzzing with contented customers. It makes real graft to create an atmosphere like this. Hats off to this superb little restaurant x H

Visiting Dunstable for two days and found this gem. Lovely coffee, friendly staff and great cakes and sandwiches. So good I went back the following day, if I lived in Dunstable would go every day!

Just love this place all of the food is wonderful. Their fresh focaccia and ciabatta great all they’re fruit and veg and cold meats wonderful.

I have eaten lunch, had coffee and cakes, had coffee and a smorgas board of savouries with bread, plus shopped for pasta, bread, veg, fruit and cheeses here.

You know how you can’t say you discovered somewhere, because other people knew about it before you? That’s how we felt about Lombardo’s. We knew we had found somewhere, something, special. But we couldn’t claim it as a “discovery” because Dunstable already knew they had a gem of a place. We were simply the latest people to experience what makes this wee deli / cafe so good.

Nearly every time I go in to Lombardos it is busy, it's busy for customers ordering a cake, sandwich, groceries, home made lasagne, and it always feels welcoming and friendly. Tables are limited but worth a wait to soak up the atmosphere, smell the delights of the Deli and coffee! They are also licensed now for you to enjoy a glass of wine. Gus, Alex and staff are great!

I love to visit here when I am back in the Dunstable area. Great service, delicious food and coffee, in a warm and friendly environment. Reasonably priced groceries available, and a fab range of fresh fruit and veg (with no plastic packaging!)

I love this place, the Italian food for sale is reasonably priced and authentic, the fruit and veg (which is bought from the fruit and veg markets in London in the early hours) is in my opinion better quality and no more expensive than the supermarkets, in fact I think it's cheaper. I love coming here for lunch or picking up a homemade lasagne for tea. When the weather is nice you can sit outside and drink coffee and watch the word go by.

Been coming here now for 18 months when in Dunstable. Nice staff, good food and reasonable prices. I had a most delightful orange fudge cake with a ver good latte for only 3 pounds. Shop being renovated and I hope they become even more popular.

Good prices, fresh fruit and vegetables from a small personal store. Who needs massive supermarkets??? A smile might help, but you can't fault the food.

This is a fabulous Italian delicatessen/grocery shop, with a few tables at the back, where you can enjoy lunch or coffee and cake. There’s also a fully licensed bar. We went in March for lunch with friends and enjoyed home made lasagne and melanzane alla parmigiana. We then went back as a couple a few weeks later and the friendly owner recognised us and welcomed us back. This time my husband had a chicken wrap and I had a delicious tiramisu. The food is very good, the service is friendly and many of the customers are Italian, which is always a good sign in an Italian restaurant/café. We will definitely go back to Lombardo’s next time we are in Dunstable.

Lombardo’s is fantastic one of the little gems left in Dunstable.The owners are always so friendly and welcoming and shopped is full of Italian delights including fresh local produce on one visit we sat down for a sandwich and salad as i do not eat bread they kindly made me a salad which was delicious and a great price they also serves lasagne and wide range of light bites also the coffee is the best in town for a good price you get a regular or large coffee with choices such as a Latte,Cappuccino,Mocha also tasting wonderful this restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

this review is well overdue, I have worked in Dunstable for 14 years and usually buy a lunch from this family owned and run Deli cafe, the choice is very Italian and always good quality and a great choice of fresh made Sandwiches and rolls, lots of Italian produce on sale that you will have to go along way to find else where. sometimes the service can be a little sharp, but thats the Italian heritage, a great unique shop

I moved in uk 4 years ago and my wife( she is English) told me about this place in Dunstable just few minutes walk from us!!! So I'm Italian and all the time I'm going in this place is like I'm back at home really friendly place really nice shame I must give 5 stars because they need more than 5 stars really good thank you!!!

Lombardo's have been in Dunstable as long as I can remember, and that's a long time! The shop is always well presented, clean and tidy, and has plenty of items you simply can't get anywhere else in town.They are proud of the produce they offer, as they personally select it whilst we are all sleeping in the small hours!They have won numerous awards, and deservedly so! Keep up the good work!

Very friendly staff make this Italian delicatessen a joy to visit. The shop is always kept smart and well stocked with all manner of pastas,sauces, vegetables and ready to eat items. Added to the fact that you can sit down and enjoy a coffee and cake in the shop, it's just like being in Italy.

Called in for a sandwich while working in Dunstable. Was greeted by really nice members of staff and decided upon a hot ciabatta. It was loaded with different types of salami,cheese and really nice grilled mediterranian veg. The shop was constantly busy and seemed to have a great choice on pasta and breads.Will call again if I have chance before returning to Wigan.

A great place to source genuine tastes and flavours of Italy. The deli is superb and they will let you taste before you buy which is really helpful if. like me, you are not totally familiar with all things Italian.

we discovered this gem a while ago, it's a beautiful Italian delicatessen, cafe and grocery store. they serve the most wonderful coffee and fabulous cakes and have a wonderful selection of pasta and other delicious groceries. We go in at least once a week for coffee and a cake and love it very much!

Lombardo's is truly a local gem. You can get a lovely coffee and their cakes are to die for! Carrot or Ginger is a favourite of mine. Staff always friendly and will do their best to help you.Good range of food and veg to buy and they also do a wide range of Italian products. One of the oldest Italian family run deli /coffee/eaters in Bedfordshire I've lost Count how many times I've been in there. Fabulous breads pasta cold meats and much much more.

Lombardo's is an original fine Italian delicatessen selling fresh fruits and vegetables, fine Italian deli meats and cheese, deliciously scrumptious cakes and a great selection of Italian groceries and fresh bread. Within the shop is a small selection of tables and chairs where you can sit and you can request a freshly prepared sandwich from the deli selection, a hot or cold drink and top that up with a choice from the cakes on offer. There is a nice buzz about the place.The owners are Italian and are perfect hosts.Highly recommended.

Although we do not live in Dunstable we are so impressed with this deli/café that we will most certainly return. The fruit and veg look so inviting outside and inside there are more delights. We had an excellent cup of coffee and a delicious little pastry - all at a very reasonable price. It's great to be able to find authentic Italian produce in such an amiable atmosphere. You will find cheeses, cooked meats, snacks, bread, and much more. There is also a small range of Italian wines and Italian liqueurs such as Strega.

We frequently travel 12 miles to visit Lombardo's. Choice, quality and cleanliness are unsurpassed as is the friendliness of the staff both in the shop area and coffee/snack area.

This great little family run deli is perfect, they have a huge selection of fruit & veg at less than supermarket prices.The owners are really helpful too, they will try to source produce for you too if you ask.

I often go in here for a roll and a coffee at lunch. Staff are always happy to help if they do not have the roll I want they will always make me one fresh. Always some good deals on veg

the place restores some pride back in to my home town, the staff are always bending over backwards to serve you, the prices are easily supermarket comparable but much better quality and the lasagne is THE DADDY!

Long established, high quality Italian 'deli', with wide range of essential dry goods and fresh produce. Warm, friendly 'family' welcome, where nothing is too much trouble. Still (in my opinion) the best place to get tomatoes, lemons and fruit in season. If you like pasta, want to make pasta, or want to buy pasta, then this is definitely the shop for you !

This was not we expected to find in Dunstable. The fact that it a genuine deli is really good - so many these days are cafes that sell some chorizo, a limited range of cheese and a few olives!The café in really excellent serving great coffee and a good choice of savoury and sweet items. The service was also very good.After finishing our brunch we spent a small fortune made more pleasurable by the helpful advice, tasters where we were uncertain. Will definitely be back!

Lombardi's is a little gem in Dunstable. It is a family owned and run Italian delicatessen, grocer and coffee shop that sells the freshest selected fruit and vegetables and Italian groceries at competitive prices.In the coffee shop you can order any combination of sandwiches, baguettes and rolls with cheese and meats from the fresh deli counter. My wife simply adores the cakes and patisseries.All this served with good humour and old fashioned style.

Gus and his family have been supplying Dunstable's Italian community and us indigenous foodies with the essentials of Italian cuisine for years. Real European garlic, sweet and juicy not like the dry white Chinese stuff they sell in the supermarket. Wine, beer, sliced meats,whole salami, pasta, cheese, vegetables, biscuits and cakes, you name it Lombardo's has it. Might not be the prettiest but probably the tastiest.

Dunstable has a little pearl in the family run little store Lombardos. It looks like a little shop with veggies outside but inside are different counters and tables at the back. The ever helpful and friendly staff are happy to make up any Paninis with fillings they have in the deli counter. Mozzarella, Salami , Parma Ham , Pesto Etc. They also have Lasagnes and others pastas that they can serve. They sell some ready made sandwiches which are also good to take and run with. It's excellent because it does what is should. It is exactly how a little Italian Coffee shop should be. The prices are very reasonable too. I shall make an effort to pass by there enroute once a week for a bite and coffee. The coffee is good too.
