Loka in Kensington and Chelsea

Después de un viaje al Teatro salimos a buscar un lugar para almorzar. Decidimos probar este restaurante ya que se veía interesante y a nuestras nietas les encantó el nombre. El personal era muy agradable y acogedor. Tuvimos pasta, las chicas disfrutaron mucho, las quesadillas también estaban muy sabrosas, una ensalada y yo comí la lubina que estaba deliciosa (si tienes prisa no pidas este plato ya que tardó un poco en llegar, pero realmente vale la pena la espera) Todo estaba fresco y hecho a pedido.

Loka está bien situado, y razonablemente bien decorado, pero eso es todo lo que tiene a su favor. Visitamos para el brunch; huevos en tostadas, aguacate en tostadas, una coca y dos tés. La tostada se quemó, los tés tibios y solo la mitad de la pequeña tetera se llenó, y £ 4. 50 por una coca plana, que venía de una lata. Era muy caro para la comida pobre, el servicio era muy lento a pesar de que nadie más estaba en el restaurante, y los baños estaban sucios y no abastecidos.

Fuimos a este sitio tras visitar Hyde Park, ya que se encontraba relativamente cerca. El local tiene una decoración muy bonita. La comida estaba muy buena y a buen precio comparado con la mayoría de restaurantes de Londres. Destacaría la 'White chiken pasta'. También tiene opciones vegetarianas como los 'Veggie tacos'. El personal fue muy amable, en especial Camila, la chica que nos atendió. Además, ella hablaba español, lo que facilitó mucho la comunicación. Al terminar de comer nos invitaron a unos dulces de pistacho que estaban riquísimos! 100% recomendado!!

No teníamos una reserva y encontramos este lugar por coincidencia. Muy buena comida, cocina honesta y un gran servicio, dentro de un ambiente agradable y relajado.

Era un lugar agradable y el personal es muy amable. Sin embargo, muchos de los platos no son mediterráneos. Hay hot dogs, fish and chips, etc. en el menú para la cena. La comida en general sabía bien.

Wanted a quick dinner pre theatre and came across Loka… delighted we did. Gorgeous decor, such friendly staff, incredibly tasty food… lamb cutlets and tabbouleh in particular were incredible! Thanks so much for a lovely meal

Awful, food was straight out of packets nothing freshly prepared, chips burgers straight out of the freezer. Awful

Lovely food and friendly staff. we had our meal and sat and chatted for a long timr no pressure. we tppk two friends and the enjoyed the food.

I had a three course Groupon deal and almost asked to cancel my booking from the bad reviews. I am so glad I didn’t. Food was amazing and the service, yes slow but was fine. Just don’t be in a rush. Really enjoyed our experience.

We got curious about this place due to the beautiful interior, unfortunatley we got a bit dissapointed by the food and drinks. The burrata sallad was OK, but nothing special. The ceasar sallad the same. The tzatsiki tasted a bit sour and the staff was not that welcomming and did not have the best customer service attitude. We ordered a glass of white wine and it was quite little for 7,50£. Good for instagram pics though :)

Had lunch here, and was impressed with the friendly atmosphere. Farash who served us was extremely accomodating, and brought a kids meal for my 6 year old. The fresh mock tails are lovely and there are decent menu choices. The decor is beautiful with lovely flower arrangements. Will definitely come back, but next time maybe do breakfast.

Visited this place and very impressed with the decor of colourful flowers nicely decorated around a chair. Interior of restaurant was spacious and clean looking. Service on first impression was not good as the girl server was talking too fast and went into detail as to the type of meals,we can have,premium type. We only wanted to know what type of meals we will be having on a pre paid voucher.Unable to comprehend what she was saying and had to clarify with another member of staff. We shared 1 starter of vine leaves which was tasty,followed by stewed okra with rice and lamb skewers. All food were well presented and very tasty. White wine and the cherry mocktail were both great. If the service could be improved,it would be very pleasant. Another complaint is not to bring out the mains too quickly,as we did not even finish our starters. Bill was presented with the total amount plus extras ,including 12. 5 % service charge not minus the deal we already pre paid.

We went to this lovely little place in Kensington today, party of three. Ordered Pancakes, French toast and the Lebanese breakfast. My friend sadly got the wrong breakfast brought in, however it looked nice and he decided to keep it anyway. The coffee was okay, nothing overly special, but my pancakes were lovely, light and with the right amount of Nutella with the addition of fresh fruit. The staff was lovely in there, would go back again.

Very nice atmosphere to relax and have a nice cocktail. The service is really good and friendly. Farash is a great man running the business ,we will always come back , great menu for all day long !!

We dined recently twice at Loka. We hosted, following a BBC Prom, a dinner with 13 people. Loka performed flawlessly. Service was impeccable and the staff kind, given the size of the party. This is a casual and convivial restaurant with better-than-average food and attentive staff. Were I to host another large casual dinner in London, Loka is at the top of the list.

If you’re in the area and looking for a restaurant with half-decent cleanliness, service, and food, this is not the place to go. The service was terrible, we were only after a quick bite before going to the theatre. My dad and I ordered the chicken main, and my mum ordered two starters, we also ordered a side of fries. We asked for everything to be brought up at the same time so we could all eat together. The starters arrived promptly, however the chicken took another ten minutes, and the fries turned up after we had finished our mains. If the restaurant was busy this might have been a bit more excusable. However, we were the only table in the whole restaurant at the time we were eating. I can’t understand why this was such a big ask. The food was also mediocre on the whole, the halloumi starter was nice, but then again any sentient person could stick some cheese on a grill. The chicken was awful, we were expecting a chicken sis or similar, but it was a handful of small, flavourless and dry pieces. This restaurant couldn’t even get the basics right - no toilet paper or hand towels in either of the gents toilets.

As we live locally, we decided to visit this recently opened restaurant to try for breakfast. On arrival the restaurant was empty with the door open which made it very cold inside and there was no heating on. Although the restaurant is new it didn’t have a clean smell inside and the tiled floor clearly needed a good hoover and wash. The velvet chairs could have also done with a roll off. Bearing in mind these first impressions we didn’t have high hopes for the breakfast, but we went ahead and ordered regardless. I ordered plain scrambled eggs with no chives or garnish with two toasts, my partner ordered the full English breakfast which according to the menu comes with turkey sausages as this is a halal restaurant. When the food arrived, I had to send it back immediately as my scrambled eggs were covered in onion and the chef also put two big pieces of smoked salmon which I didn’t order. My partner’s full English was disgusting, and he couldn’t eat any of it. His full breakfast was clearly cooked in the same pan with the turkey sausages which had a very strong Middle Eastern spicey flavour and it contaminated the eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes and made it inedible. Normally sausages are cooked separately from the rest of the breakfast as they may not be to everyone’s taste and at least the rest of the breakfast is not ruined…! My scrambled eggs when it arrived second time looked very anaemic and not quality. Overall, this restaurant is clearly trying to woo customers by its beautiful new décor and not by the quality of the food and service that it is offering. It very much feels like a more up to date version of the Fait Maison concept (around the corner,) and it clearly has a specific market in mind which they are hoping to target. If you want genuinely good quality English breakfast, I would advise everyone to look elsewhere.

We (five ladies) found this little gem of a place when looking for a light lunch. Beautiful decor, relaxing ambience, delightful Mediterranean style menu, cakes to die for, friendly and helpful staff. Loved it so much we came back for breakfast next day.

Thoroughly recommend this restaurant - had lunch on Sat 23rd April with friends and then returned for breakfast on 24th April. Food was wonderful - well priced - friendly service. Beautiful decor

Loka has an amazing appearance as well as tantalising food. The staff were very friendly and we would would definitely recommend the falafel wrap which had one of the best falafels we had ever tasted in the UK. To top it off they made us...

Great Brunch , Lebanese Style. Full English was surprisingly exotic and very delicious...e.g. the toast was smeared with an a delightful olive oil and topped with an interesting 'bacon' the sausage was a merguez remincient of morroco the mushrooms the tomatoe........find out for yourself. Enjoy

This place makes you feel really chilled with the background music and lovely blue walls with tree design. The food is good on top of this and there's service with a smile!
