Lovely pub but the food let it down. We went as a foursome and three of us had the half roast chicken, never again. No taste and dry, best thing about what was on the plate was the salad.

Fell into this pub by accident and what a little gem. Really characterful with exciting beer selection, had the Wainwrights best pint I’ve had in a long time!

Went to this pub with a group of friends for lunch, very disappointed. We had booked for a group of us and pre-ordered our food. Although we did not all arrive together, we were there within a few minutes of our booked time. The service was extremely slow and some of our meals were not as we ordered. For example, the Tuna Melt Ciabatta did not have any cheese in, so was just Tuna and possibly Mayo. One of us ordered a Fish Finger Sandwich and the Fish Fingers tasted just like Supermarket Fish Fingers. When ordering in advance, we asked for the bread to be Brown and they said this wasn't possible as they didn't stock Brown Bread! What a shame, I don't understand why when there is a Co-op opposite the pub and the meal was pre-ordered. One of us had ordered a Chicken Sandwich with a side portion of Chips, which were forgotten and only bought out after being reminded! To add to this, the service was less than good. Everything felt like it was in imposition. So sad and most definitely will not be recommending or returning.

Popped in on the way home never been before so thought we'd try it and we were not disappointed with the food. We had the fish & chips which were lovely and fresh nice and piping hot. Staff friendly. It's worth a look in

Met friends here as it's mid-way between our respective homes. Nice friendly welcome from the staff, a lovely pint and good choice of other drinks. Such a shame that the food was really poor. I had the Chicken Tikka masala: the few pieces of chicken were rubbery and the sauce watery, and lacked depth of flavour and seasoning. While the pappadam was crisp and went well with the mango chutney, the chapati was stale and dried out. My wife ordered the 8oz rump - medium. It was so over-cooked it had reduced to the size of a burger with a covering of bark. The salad leaves were beginning to rot and the chips and onion rings tasted of oil that should have been disgarded weeks ago. Our desserts were better, despite the luke-warm custard. Such a shame as this pub has huge potential, and the car park should be full.

We came here for dinner and I ordered the halloumi burger, and I have never been served halloumi so incredibly burnt it was rock hard burnt black on the most part. The bun lacked any salad or sauce what so ever just pieces of burnt cheese. My other half ordered a burger what was smaller than the bun it also lacked any kind of salad or sauce, the salad was old and it fresh as it was showing signs of browning, the only okay thing was the chips. It’s over priced for the quality of the food well over priced. I wouldn’t ever come here to eat again.

Ordered via the McDonalds app for delivery. When the delivery finally arrived, items were missing. Tried to use the app to raise an issue and it was near impossible to get anywhere. Tried to call direct to resolve and nobody answered. I know McDonalds isn't exactly fine dining, but surely some customer service should be expected.

Honestly the delivery man was the best part and im sure staff are lovely. Forgot my redbull, offered one next time which was kind but wont be ordering there again. Ordered a burger and chips, genuinely cant explain more to you how horribly dry and rubbery the burger was, chips were cold and stodgy. Not just that, ordered a donut and was met with what tasted like a hard sponge soaked in sugar. Have never had a takeaway as expensive but horrible as that, seems like they make the food at the start of the week and use that🤢

As one of only two tables in any empty restaurant it was shocking to see the mess covering the whole floor. The bond were overloaded and no attempt to clean table tops had been made for well over an hour (obvious from build up). Service was ridiculous, I stood waiting (being ignored) for 10 mins before a day off member told me I could only order using the self serve. I had not brought my glasses and informed him of this to which he offered to read me the menu. This is obviously a very kind gesture and a member of staff going above and beyond BUT why are staff not allowed to serve? Secondly, why don't they clearly signpost that? What made it more frustrating was he then said you can print the receipt and he will put it through the till?! I could have banged my head on a wall. Will not be returning. In contrast the cafe next door with double the seating and equal staff with a much wider menu was squeaky clean.
