Not getting any better. I’ve found other stockists for Freedom bread now so there’s no reason to return. This shop is run like a little hobby, not a business. Joyless staff with no real customer skills and absolutely no interest in improving customer experience. Left a phone order for bread but was told a day later that they ‘tend not to listen to the machine to be honest’. That says it all really.

Was looking forward to a nice organic experience at the cafe/shop but was deeply disappointed by the lack of energy in the shop. Very dowdy surroundings with big dirty metal tables and a manky floor. Food was ok but the coffee was like drinking mud. Staff looked bored and despondent, not surprised as it must be embarrassing charging the extortionate prices. Don't think we will be back.

En primer lugar, estoy asombrado con las críticas de Locavore. Mi primera visita fue el sábado pasado. Absolutamente me encantó.

During virus situation decided long walk and knew they had Freedom bread.... Decided to come and get few bits to relieve stress. Weird weird staff.... Got few bits and stood to pay and ask take away coffee. Store quiet and eventually beconed to 2nd till.... I asked for take away coffee and response no we aren't doing. Very unfriendly place although some nice brands and excellent bread. Don't think I will return as this place doesn't deserve support!!!

Have visited the cafe and shop on several occasions. It is a stones throw from my home and I could very well be a customer every few days. I will alas never be returning. On my last two visits I was pretty much told I wasn't the right sort of person to be a customer."What are you doing here?". "Why have you come in here?" When was the last time anyone asked you that in a business? It's not like it is busy, it could do with the customers. You have to take my word for me being a fine upstanding chap. There is no reason for them to talk to me that way, and I am far from alone. They don't want the locals coming into their enlightened. organic, woke space. The food in the cafe and the shop are fine but quite expensive. Not much unique and often available elsewhere for much less. There are a couple of things about this enterprise you may not know. It has massive local authority subsidy. Discounts, waived fees and rental. The milk equipment etc.. and there because of funds from the local authority. The best part of half a million pounds. Money from the pockets of the very people that would prefer not to come in. Without the money taken out of the local economy Locavore wold not exist. To demonstrate their pomposity, not long after Locavore opened they decided their gracious wisdom to leave boxes of near rotting fruit and vegetables outside at night. For the local scum to help themselves. Such condescension. Environmental health put a stop to that. Danger to life I believe.

I visited the supermarket/cage for the first time with my baby boy. I wanted to grab a coffee before my husband finished work. My honest first impression was it was filthy inside with boxes open all over the floors so couldn't move pram easily around the shop, even though enough aisle space if tidy! I joined the queue to be served and waited for 10 minutes before anyone even made eye contact with me. I finally got served after having to leave the first queue and weave to a second till that was now finally manned, not one customer moved out my way, hipster style clientele that were friendly with the staff so just stood chatting while I was being ignored. I knew the cafe was vegan so asked for a coffee with milk on the side, waiting to hear what milk they had, the server just gave me a judgemental look then said to have a seat. I realised then that he had the look of spotting a 'newbie/not one of us'. I now know they offer almond and oat milk and I wanted almond all along...why not just ask me? No idea what I got served. The coffee was undrinkable. They have 3 long tables in the cafe area. Once served I was asked where I will sit. One table was taken by a family and the second by a young couple on their laptops so I said I'd sit on the table to the right (I.e. table 3). The male server, again made a face to himself as he was getting my change, and said I will just say where the pram is. At this point I felt completely embarrassed. Your cafe area is tiny, I said table 3, why did you even ask if you can say it's where the pram is!? It was also very quiet and I was the only person not yet served! As I get my son, the floor staff walked past a few times, just staring at my son in his pram, no smiles ...likely just judging what I was feeding him as that is the sole vibe of the place. I will never be back and will never recommend. Horrible unfriendly cafe. I will never be back.

Good coffee, good organic produce, outstanding bread. The most listless, slow, inefficient staff. Takes forever to get a coffee. There’s just no energy or joy in this place - if this is what healthy eating does then I’m not sure it’s something to adopt!

Locavore is a reference, just not in the south side, for organic, locally produced veggies and fruit. But they also are a great place for a wee meal, good coffee or one of the delicious cakes.

After hearing a lot about Locavore, I was really excited to visit for lunch today with my friend and her two kids. It really is an amazing place. Part restaurant, part grocery.. it really is like an Aladdin’s cave for amazing fresh produce that smells like fresh produce should, grains, cleaning products, cereals, teas... I could go on. I had the roast vegetable open sandwich with the house hummus on rye bread. Was so tasty, and the hummus was to die for. A great place with a fantastic atmosphere.. really laid back and v welcoming to kids who adored the sourdough bread. Will definitely be coming back on a regular basis to either eat or buy. And so reasonably priced! Go!

Due to am emergency I was unable to be with my Mum on her 80th birthday. I thought sending a cake for her small party would mean I was taking part in some way. I didn't notice until after I had ordered that the cake needs to defrost for 6 hours. I immediately emailed and ask to switch to a next day delivery. I was relieved when this was confirmed. However the day before and no cake. My Mum will now have a cake that will arrive on the day of her party so cannot be eaten.

Wanted to try for service wash as local. They only seem to open at random times, and come to find out they actually use King's Park laundry! Ended up contacting them to find out they status Bypass this lot, and use KP directly!

I’m a local lass and love going here. Guaranteed a good standard of food and even with a queue sometimes out the door the team are respectful and provide a friendly service to all customers equally. I hove watched them deal with customers who have delusional expectations and a huge sense of entitlement with tact and understanding. Definitely couldn’t do your job as well as the pret team on byres. My dog is always made to feel welcome too.

The worst wings I’ve ever had in my life. Nachos were so stale they weren’t even worth eating. Was ill the next day.
