We stumbled into Loaf a while back in the rain after visiting the Royal Victoria Hospital opposite. What a smashing wee place. The food, the staff and the atmosphere are all brilliant. You have a mixture of local residents, Health Service workers and people visiting the hospital. The staff are superb, very welcoming, friendly and they can't do enough for you. The prices are also very reasonable for the standard of fresh and tasty food on offer, hot and cold. I would recommend Loaf to anyone who lives near there, who works in the Royal or is attending the hospital.

We had lunch here today and it was mouth watering!! Regardless of the fact it only opened yesterday it was delicious! Me and my family enjoyed a delicious sausage roll fresh out of the oven and the most excellent chicken and pesto sandwich I have ever had not to mention the huge portions and lovely chicken salad it came with and as a cherry on top the prices were so good I would definitely recommend to anyone!!

Called into Loaf today and had a peppermint tea and a sausage roll. It was a beautiful warm welcoming atmosphere. The staff were very polite and pleasantand professional. The coffee looked amazing so did the wraps salad and the most tempting was the tray bakes. Great selection of all sorts of food.. Definitely will be back.! Prices are very good as the portions from what I observed were very generous. Keep the good work up guys from the kitchen staff to floor staff waiters waitresses counter and all involved. 10 stars if possible.

2 poached eggs 2 rounds of toast £4.95 can of coke £2 7 quid for both 😳 any1 else think thats ridiculous. I got 2 sausage 2 bacon 2 toast and a fried egg 2 days previous with a drink for £5 suppose its my own fault for trying to be healthier than a fry but that will be the last time I get anything from here. Social enterprise usually means not for profit big profits made here

We came here for lunch and it was so nice, not only the food, but the social impact of the business. I’d highly recommend a visit. I ate so much it hurt! I couldn’t leave the bread alone, and I took some bake for takeaway.

Specially opened for our group for lunch, the hosts were tremendous, the food hot and plentiful and tray bakes to die for. A very welcoming cafe with a great choice of food and drink. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for looking after us so well and lifting our spirits on a cold wet and windswept day.

This cafe is across from the Grosvenor Rd entrance to the Royal Hospital and makes a welcome pitstop before or after hospital appointments. In our case my husband and I had attended the Children's hospital with our small child. My husband ordered the sausage roll which he reported was delicious, but unfortunately I am a bit more awkward in that I need to avoid both dairy and soy because of allergy. I sometimes dread eating out because on occasion you are made to feel like an inconvenience when staff have to cater for allergies. Not the case here at all. The staff could not have been more helpful and understanding in trying to figure out what I could eat. Because the bread was off limits (soy flour is everywhere unfortunately) they made up a wrap especially for me and I was also able to have the soup which was dairy and soy free. I was starving and the food was tasty and filling, and, even more importantly, I felt looked after. Having a child with medical issues, or indeed having any kind of caring responsibilities, can be exhausting and you can quite easily forget to look after yourself. Given its location beside the hospital, I'm sure I'm not the only visitor who felt really grateful to be looked after with kindness and consideration. The whole atmosphere of this cafe is one of kindness and consideration. Plus, they are a social enterprise and do beautiful work in the community. Go visit.

I've been in the new place a few times since the reopening in the new location, and I can say the food was excellent every time both personally and with a couple of business lunches we had. The service was excellent, the staff never far away to grab their attention when needed and it seems to be a better atmosphere than previous visits (some staff seem missing). The staff are great craic and the owner is really nice which makes the experience even better. Keep doing what you're doing guy's, we'll be back more often now. Thank you
