Back again and this time trying their smarties cone - it was a great cone and the marathon ice cream was sweet and nutty - exactly what I wanted.

Thoroughly enjoyed one of the new croissant waffle stacks at Llanfaes Dairy this weekend. They are insanely good. The waffle is warm, soft, crunchy, and chewy all at once - giving everything I need. And their ice cream is my all-time favourite - it’s creamy, the flavours are spot on and it isn’t already soft/melty when you get it which is my bugbear with other local ice creams. I went for coffee and cream, and hot cross bun as my combo yesterday, topped with nuts and Nutella sauce, and I had to try the new toasted marshmallow topping which I’ve been eyeing up on their socials for a while. It was the perfect addition and surprisingly didn’t make it all too sweet. Can’t wait to chow down another one of these one day soon. I can see it being a summer diet staple

Loved the bueno ice cream 🍨 & cream egg ice cream 🍧. I bought the banoffee pie ice cream in a tub to come home with. Will definitely come back. Fantastic add on to cardiff bay. Still in shock after the way I was spoken about by a member of staff to a colleague yesterday evening in hearing distance of my husband and other customers. We arrived just after 6:15pm, my husband went to the counter to order and I said to my husband I will go and get a seat as our daughter is 5 and needs to sit down to eat her ice cream and can’t be expected to take and eat her ice cream outside in the dark and in these colder temperatures. My daughter followed and chose one of the two tables in the shop to sit at. We had to walk past all 3 members of staff to get to and sit at the table. I could see a mop and bucket next to the counter but no wet floor and nothing blocking or indicating the area was closed off to customers. Whilst ordering my husband heard the male member of staff with short dark hair working at the time tell his female colleague “She’s just moved the chair out of the way” in a bitchy manor. My husband questioned him and said “What did you just say?” To which the member of staff replied “Nothing” so my husband questioned him again and said “Did you just say that she moved the chair out of the way? They’re with me and she didn’t move any chair, is the area closed? and called me and our daughter out of the area, which we left straight away, even though I was slightly confused as to why they were suggesting the area was closed as the shop was still open and full of customers who were using all the tall window bench seats with seats still down and my husband checked online before going that the shop was open until 8pm. There was a small section of tall chairs which had been lifted up ontop of the window counter, but again absolutely no indication that the only two tables in the shop were closed off to customers. Then the female colleague and a younger male colleague both came and had a look and said that they were just checking that the floor was dry as they didn’t want us to slip and that as the floor was dry it was fine for us to sit there. So myself and my daughter sat back down at the same table. It wasn’t until my husband sat down with his and our daughters ice creams that he then tells me what he overheard. I was in shock, disgusted that I’d been talked about like that and checked with my husband that he had told them that I hadn’t moved any chair out of the way as I hadn’t! My husband received no apology at the time he pulled the male up on what he’d just said about me and I also never received any apology. There was no yellow ‘wet floor’ sign up for safety or to suggest the floor near the tables might be wet, no chair blocking the area off and absolutely no wet floor. I’m an intelligent person, if I saw a wet clean floor, I would know not to step on it and would also immediately stop my daughter from going on it as she would’ve slipped and hurt herself. I used to work in a café and if we’d had to mop the floor for reasons of a spill for example we had to put a yellow ‘wet floor’ sign up and also dried the floor as much as we could with blue roll so there was no chance of customers slipping. The floor wasn’t wet, however as the mop and bucket was next to the counter I feel that they’d decided to clean and mop part of the floor early long before closing time. Previously working in a café like I said, we weren’t able to mop the floors until the last customers had left after closing time for cleanliness and customers safety. For customers to be accused of things incorrectly and openly rudely spoken about in-front of other customers is disgusting. I wish I’d felt comfortable enough at the time to speak to them about it after my husband told me what he’d overheard, however I’m a polite person and wouldn’t have wanted anyone to feel uncomfortable, especially the other customers in there. I hope the individual who made the unnecessary and rude accusation sees this or at least gets pulled up on it by the owners as is it no way to treat customers whether they are regular like ourselves or not. I understand that it was a Saturday evening and staff probably wanted to close and get out of the shop as soon as they could, however online it states the parlour is open until 8pm, if this isn’t the case please update your opening hours. I looked for opening hours on leaving and couldn’t see any information up anywhere to say when the shop opens and closes. Customers are the most important people as they come in and spend their money to keep your business going, please remind your staff of that.

We were staying in Cardiff Bay for a week and learnt of this little gem from a chap in the Wales Millennium Centre. The range available of ice cream flavours and milk shakes is amazing. They also serve coffee. Very friendly staff who will let you have a little taste of the ice creams before you choose. If you like ice cream then this place is a must!

I was incredibly disappointed by The Potted Pig. The prices are extortionate given the tiny portion sizes and lack of taste and seasoning in the food. I couldn't believe it was the same place I came

Your afternoon tea was bought for us as a gift. We booked a table one month ago for 3pm on the 6th February 2020. Having made a special journey into Cardiff, we arrived at 2.45pm only to be told that
