I think I've found my new local. Food was delicious and big portioned. The staff were very friendly. The fireplace added a homely feel.

The food was absolutely amazing, massive portions and amazing value. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. We had 2 mains and 2 sides for less than £30! We will definitely be going back

Lovely little country pub just up the road from the railway pub nelson s Wales....low beams inside but it was unique love pubs like this also lovely view of the mountains definitely come back food was also good

We used to visit this pub years ago at at the time it was regarded as the place to go for a meal. Having recently visited on two separate occasions it's unchanged it's still an excellent pub.

Spent an afternoon here and the staff were super friendly and welcoming. Nice pint and got a real country pub feel to it. Located close to a nice historic country church (entry via side door to explore) and close to some stunning hill walks with views over the stunning local countryside.

Generous food portions and excellent value for money . .. only dropped a star for no dark fruits on tap.. (sorry). Fast service and a bonus, an area which is dog friendly. Highly recommend.

Absolutely gorgeous meal this afternoon. A group of 4 of us were squeezed in without a booking and the service was second to none. We were kept informed by staff throughout our visit, that there may be a short wait due to those who had arrived ahead of us. When we'd ordered, the food was served quickly and was piping hot and the lamb chops cooked perfectly! The chips are chunky and crispy and mouthwatering and portion sizes are very generous. I would definitely recommend a visit.

We were the 1st people there. We had a lovely meal, 2 of us had the Lamb dinner, 1 had the scampi & 1 had the curry. We all enjoyed our food and there was plenty of it. Desserts were lovely too, trifle, apple pie & ice-cream, ice-cream with chocolate sauce & the ginger sponge, which was delicious but too much of it!!

Fantastic value T-bone steak, friendly staff, we are regulars for years. Highly recommended to all.

Another gorgeous meal at the Llanfabon Inn and still reasonably priced considering how everything's gone up lately. The Staff are all so accommodating and friendly. They cannot do enough for you. We love visiting and look forward to our next visit. 😁

Good food good value friendly staff

Prices of beer has gone up to £4.00, a pretty high hike Such a lovely quaint place, fantastic food and excellent customer service. Our walk started at Cilfynydd Senataf up the hill and turn left following the path along side the house with a sheep painted on the pine end, we continued upwards and turned right to the very top with views over to carntown mountain, Old Smokey in Ynysybwl and then to Pen Y Fan, Corn Ddu and then over to the Gap in quakers yard., we could also see Suger Loaf mountain in the distance and Brecon. On the way up towards Llanfabon, we saw the White Hall Golf Club and Lechwin Hall, then onto Llanfabon Inn for lunch and then walked back down at sunset and came out at the side of Cilfynydd Rugby Club. The views are spectacular all around.

Amazing food, best Sunday dinner I have had for a while and such goos value for money 2 courses for £13.95 the beef was so well cooked and tasty and fell away when cut into it, and the black forest Gateux was the best x staff are fantastic and a lovely atmosphere xxx thankyou xx

Not many options but what they did have to offer - the portions were huge! The meet was a little cold and there wasn't really much bbq sauce on the hunters chicken. But the food was cheap. You get what you pay for.

Used this place for a long time to have a treat now and then whent up last night and very disappointed in the waitress we ask where to sit and she dint say any thing just waved her arms and we then sat down she did explained they had a group in so they be while to see to us always had fish and chips here as really nice so we asked waitress she said forgot to order them walk off with out a sorry or any manners

A nice pub/ restaurant on the outskirts of Nelson village ,plenty of parking spaces,good Beer,reasonable Food, been there numerous times,mainly to Drink, not open on Mondays!

My first visit today , had the Sunday lunch , I usually avoid going out on "special days" i.e father's day so was expecting a long wait - boy, was I surprised. Not only were they fast, the food was delicious! Cooked to perfection and the staff were friendly and happy to accommodate. The price is fantastic and the food has that home cooked taste/feel - and of course ... no dishes ! The deserts were equally delicious , I liked the 2 course menu for a set price. Ill definitely be back! Thanks ☺

Up in a beautiful spot surrounded by fields full of sheep, hidden away we found this amazing bar and restaurant, which has amazing food and a welcome that is is typical of the valleys, warm and relaxed. We had 4 meals all of which were plentiful and tasted devine. Prices are pretty good too. Can't wait to visit this place again in the summet when we can sit outside and enjoy the view and beer. The only thing to remember is they dont have the ability to take card payments, so remember your cash.

Been here several times with family. Always lovely tasty food. Desserts are amazing

Plenty of parking available and beautiful views around the pub. Staff were very friendly and attentive and provided table service as part of their Covid policy. The ladies toilets were kept clean but one of the taps seemed faulty. For payments they accept cash or bank transfer. My phone signal wasn’t very good so accessing my banking app would’ve been a bit difficult. To improve and for customer convenience it would be great to also accept card payments.

The food here is just fantastic . Presentation is lovely, portions are plentiful and hospitality very comfortable

Went for my grandson's 18th. Fourteen of us for food which was excellent, really hot and we all had our food within a few minutes of each other.

First class customer service and three course Christmas dinner, I would recommend the Llanfabon Inn.

Great atmosphere lovely real pub

Nine adults two young children a family gathering. Lovely inn in a picturesque surroundings.the staff were brilliant and the food was of a high standard.great value for money would recommend a visit.will definitely return in the near future.

This place just keeps getting better. Just went with the family for Sunday Lunch and as always left completely stuffed. Without a doubt the best Sunday Lunch in South Wales. The beef just melts in your mouth. The staff are polite and professional at all times and I'm going to end this review with my 3 favourite words, Toffee Lumpy Bumpy.

Excellent food and great atmosphere. The staff are brilliant and will do everything they can to make sure everything is as expected. We went up with a large ish group of 13 and all food was out in a timely manner and as mentioned was excellent. Prices are very reasonable as well.

Excellent venue. Food amazing. Staff couldn't do enough for us so polite and helpful. Easier to take cash as the Internet is not good. Although the staff let me leave and send the money later when I got access. Definately will be going again soon.

A real gem My girlfriend and I were staying in the area for a short holiday. We were having some difficulty in finding a good place to have dinner. Then we discovered the Llanfabon Inn. The food and drink are of excellent quality and reasonably priced. The staff friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is exactly what a good country pub should be. We were so impressed that we did not bother to try and find a different place for dinner.

Recommend try you won't be disappointed. The service was grate food was even better and the desert on offer speak for it's also you have a fantastic view. Only down side is cash only as there is no reception for a card machine so take cash 😉

Went to lanfabon Inn tonight meal was o. K although garnish and side slaw was past its sell by date informed waitress who would check the jar although less than a tea spoon on each plate, very small portions, a hefty bill at £51.50 our freinds was £43.55, come 9:50pm Restaurant dining room became full of staff members the landlord, bar woman and waitress could we leave now, as staff want to go home but took the bill first would not recommend this place, prior to pandemic lovely place brilliant atmosphere, but tonight the whole esof as changed, no sooner as we was out the door locking up behind us so that will be the last £100 we spend with you thanks for not a nice night!!! And maybe next time have someone ready to greet the customers, instead of sitting around

This is our favourite place, bit of a drive but worth it, the food is fabulous, way better than other places around area, bar drinks reasonable, 5/5.only drawback is that they only take cash, no card payments, but still great place.

Awful warmed up cheap food, visited on a Friday evening for a treat. Only good point was waitress very polite. Went before fire break no track and trace and no card machine in 2020. Much better food in other local pubs
