LJ - Love Jericho Cocktail Bar in Oxford

Been here twice before just for 1 or 2 cocktails with my girlfriend. Tonight we were there as a larger group to celebrate a little early my girlfriends 30th. As always, a brilliant atmosphere, really a great space to have people as its spacious but still intimate, and the service has been fantastic with the 2 gents behind the bar being so friendly and accommodating. Sadly we're moving away soon, but we will be visiting Oxford again, and this will be a great spot to catchup with friends. Thanks for tonight's service guys! The happy hour rocks and the cocktails were great!

The politest most welcoming cocktail bar anywhere, ever. And they make the best cocktails. For exceptional service and world class beverages, these guys never fail to deliver!!!

Probably Oxford's best cocktail bar if you're just talking about the drinks being mixed - they always do a better job here. Happy hour makes it affordable as well. My preferred choice of place for cocktails, though it's worth booking a table as it gets busy at peak times.

Friendly service and a great vibe, I would recommend it for a larger group as the staff are very accommodating. We went for my friend’s birthday and they went above and beyond to make it special for her.

Very unpleasant place. If you're in your late 20s/early 30s, looking for a drama free night and somewhere to casually hang out with friends then this is not the place to be. The majority of staff are rude, unfriendly and arrogant. Will be following up with a formal complaint.

First time I have visited LJ. I had a really nice time. The barmaid/owner was great. Fast service. I liked the drinks. A nice selection of cocktails. The conservatory roof on the lower level is nice to sit under and enjoy good lighting

What an amazing place, why can you only give it 5 stars, it needs more. The owner is a fantastic Lady that loves her job and is very good at it. The atmosphere is such a great place with great music. One of the hidden Gems in Oxford that needs to be enjoyed so come visit.

My friends and I found this little nugget on our travels. Melissa was welcoming and friendly. Made amazing cocktails whilst we were sat in a wamr and pleasnt atmosphere. If you go anywhere make sure you check this place out. Brilliant night !

This place is absolutely fantastic, if you love cocktails and rum look no further! Their happy hour is from 5.00-9.00pm (grab amazing cocktails from £6, inclusive of most their menu). A place that knows how to make amazing authentic mojitos! We grabbed the lychee mojito, passion fruit mojito and the Jericho zombie, among others. Definitely recommend, the best cocktail bar in the area with great taste in music!

Really disappointed tonight to be denied entry for wearing gold trousers. I thought cocktail bars were supposed to be fun but facing the public rejection from the joint was not and it knocked my confidence and mood for the rest of the evening. It’s a real shame because I had been to the cocktail bar before and loved it and tonight I had put in a lot of effort to look my best to take my gf out for a drink there. So to then be turned away at the door for my fashion choice was quite hurtful, especially as I had been there before and people were wearing all sorts. 🤷‍♂️For context, I had just been to Angels for a cocktail and they didn’t have a problem at all so they can’t have been that outlandish! 😅

The best cocktail bar I have been to - owned & operated by fun Spanish & Portuguese girls who make the top lychee mojito and Caipirinha better than in Brazil.

Only one word for the experience: amazing! Cocktail prepared properly by professional bartenders. You can feel their passion as they are making the cocktails one after the other. The atmosphere was very good, the staff were great and all seemed well managed. Cocktails are hugely overpriced and badly executed; here at Love Jericho was certainly not the case. Well done Team, I will be back when I next go to Oxford!

This is the kind of place you visit before a night out, but you just end up staying there the whole night! The owner is so kind, knowledgeable, and passionate about her job, and it's clear that she and the other bartenders care about maintaining a fun and safe environment -- vibes are immaculate, music is impeccable (old- and new-school r&b, reggaeton, rap, etc.), and drinks are all delicious and fresh.... a must-visit!

Stunning! The most I've ever enjoyed a cocktail bar. Between 5 and 9:30 or thereabouts cocktails are half price @£5-5.50ish. The young and lovely Spanish and Portuguese women who run it are kind and passionate about making the perfect cocktail. I had an excellent mojito but the caparainha was perfection. We drank on the small but perfect veranda. 11/10. Rush to Oxford!

I had a really fun night for my partners birthday this month. Was served by Malissa and Rauni who where very good at coustomer service and very friendly. Malissa was accommodating of my hidden disability. They made the most amazing cocktails for us. The venue was very tidy and the cocktails where second to none. Very fun and friendly and I was totally impressed with the drinks and the selection. Thank you for a good evening.

Zero stars from me. This used to be a great place to hang our after a nice formal dinner. However, the quality has gone down and the staff have become surprisingly rude. We went there for a drink after dinner this Wednesday and left without having a drink because of their behaviour. Sense of service = 0.

Lovely place nice friendly staff.

I pass it every day and now I'm here.. Dusty after a day working. Under that dust is a guy who appreciates good tunes, vibes and service. I wanted a beer but chose a cocktail.. Delicious, well presented and with a big smile.

Shame the service let the place down. Started with being hung up on the phone when asking about booking a table, as the website refers you to do. When arrived given the worst table in the venue when all others were vacant. The menu advertised they can make virgin cocktails that aren't in the menu, when asked they said they couldn't do this and sold me one from the menu. When the drinks came, they were good! But awkwardly told to pay a minute later which seemed very odd. Wouldn't recommend, you can find better places to go in Oxford. Will not be going back

Horrible , aggressive owner/ bar staff . Really bad customer service. As a person who works in that field, I felt absolutely violent. Would not go there ever again even though they make good cocktails.

Great (and affordable during happy hour) cocktails, lively environment and feel good music with very helpful and friendly staff. Would definitely go again if not just for the Tiramisu Martinis!

BY FAR!!!! the best cocktail bar in Oxford...and as a local, I've been to them all a number of times. Apart from the fab cocktails and good vibe there is the personal touch. The owner/Manager not only recognises you after long absences of visiting but she also remembers what your cocktail is! Crazily quick too at preparing cocktails.

I really like this LJs. The staff are great and it is a nice bar. It has a bar area as you walk in and then seating down a small number of stairs. The outside area to the front is nice to sit at with drink. It is a relatively small bar and can get quite busy but not for to long. It is a nice area just outside of town with a good selection of other places to visit within a minute or so.

Happy hour until 11pm on a Friday is a god send, means a good cocktail for £5.50! Fruity, sweet cocktails, the Strawberry Surprise was a decent starter drink.
