Lituanica Beckton Restaurant in Newham

Such a shame. We used to come here with my husband a lot of times. Food was always good we never complained, but few weeks ago when we came I’ve had house lemonade who was off. They apologised and took out all of them from the fridge and put away. Ok I was thinking things happens so I just forgot about it. Then I came here again and from that day I promise then I never gonna come back here. We ordered lunch set where you can choose soup. We choose pea soup but we’ve got bean soup (bean soup wasn’t on the menu). My husband ordered fish cakes - was freezing cold. I ordered potato cake with meat (cold as well) —- and then I found cottage cheese inside -this was ridiculous!!!!! Shame on the lady’s who’s working in the front as well. Guess we need to find another place to eat.

My wife (thanks God Lithuanian speaking ) asked for Kugelis . She asked. Not to put any spirgus as I don’t eat pork . She insisted , to make sure that there was none . When arrived home, and we opened the tube , was full of spirgus. Going to the bin ! Just because uninterested and unprofessional staff, that they don’t bother, and they have a horrible attitude . For what I read , this is not the first time that I read about the poor staff . I will report to local EHO , as this could have been an allergic issue, and staff are not prepared . Pathetic .

We used to like this place, but things changed into bad: 1. Staff is rude and basic and unable to comunicate with costumers (Raw Russian style). 2. One day the portions are normal and quality is great, other day are half and very poor quality. 3. I guess that in order to reduce the waste you just need a restaurant on top of your shop to help with that 🤔. Hope you learn from this reviews and do the changes as I will like to visit you again. 🤞👌

Horrible experience, piece of sharp and hard plastic was found in a food, previously also a piece of soft plastic similar to a plastic bag was found in food as well.

My sister and I love this place - it's a halfway meeting point for lunch with our Dad and the flavours all bring back childhood memories for him, I'm sure! It's not fancy but we love the food and the staff are certainly friendly to us. I'm not a Lithuanian culinary expert but we all love the Borscht and their fresh teas. Grab yourself a seat in one of the "booths" if you can!

We Come for a Dinner with our family, food was horrible. The soup (Barsciai) we had was really unpleasant texture, not the way is supposed to be cooked. Watery, awful, just beetroot and mushroom nothing else. The Pork dish I had was overcooked and dry.

Very good food in Lituanica restaurant,however very bad service - do not speak English, if run out of food did not offer any other options and on questions asked did not responded kindly and laughed at us. We felt discriminated. However very good visite in shop, there all the cashier were very kind and supportive.

Honestly, do not expect to have an amazing restaurant experience. This is a casual place for people to have lunch and maybe dinner. Its a simple, cafeteria type of place. Food wise, most of the stuff is good if you come during lunch time. Home made drinks that they serve depends in the day. One day its amazing other complete garbage. If you are looking for place to eat at lunch and want some Traditional Lithuanian food, this is the best place you can get. Food - 7/10 Staff - 6/10 Atmosphere 8/10

We tried nearly everything on the menu and it really tastes like HOME. I would highly recommend to get varskes apkepas (its like warm cake that is made from cottage cheese) and the cottage cheese doughnuts. Staff could be little bit more friendly as most of them look like they ate a lemon!! The value for money is outstanding. Plenty of place for dining - large tables and clean toilets.

Coming here for years with my wife. Food is outstanding, tasteful and generous. Having seen staff for years.. now look completely miserable and disgruntled. We were served by a poorly wannabe Kardhasian .. with an attitude and horrible manners. Lituanica.. one advice .. don’t take for granted your customer .. and train your staff to welcome and smile.. thanks

Our family loves Liuanica’s Restaurant, and we go there as often as we can! It’s family and child friendly, cosy and the food is always fresh! Its a great place to have traditional Lithuanian food, and the nicest cafe of its kind in London, so far!
