I have visited this place quite a few times recently with my 2 Grandchildren. Its ideal for them to play safely as its compact enough for me to see them. While there we all choose drinks/snacks from the wide selection they have to offer. The staff are also very friendly and overall it ticks all the boxes to make the whole soft play outing a fab place to go. We look forward to revisiting asap.

I cannot recommend this place enough and I only wish I had found this place earlier. When I had my second child(2 under 2) I found it pretty daunting even attempting leaving the house on my own. As soon as I walked in I was amazed at what a little gem this place was. Somewhere both my children can run and explore and I can watch whilst having a hot drink and tea cake from my table. Everything is spotless, food is very tasty and more importantly the owner and her staff are extremely friendly and polite. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants to find a soft play thats just the right size for under 5s. Very good value for money and is a firm favourite for all of us- Husband included!

Little pickles soft play is a perfect venue for me and my daughters. (4 years and 18months) Although it isn’t very big, its a perfect size for them both to run around and I can see them wherever they are even if I’m sat having a coffee. Always a friendly welcome and a good selection of drinks and snacks. Reasonable prices with sibling discount, and the bonus of a loyalty card. My girls love it here.

We went to this place I and two of my friends first. place is small and filled with young children while the place does not accapt more than 10 children and the temperature was high and there is no air conditioners and second. My doughter she came to me asked for biscuits i gave her biscuits and while she was eating the lady there she came to me and she said is not allowed to eat Outside the coffee shop, we had to buy from there and did not have the biscuite that my daughter ate. Thirdly, this is the most important thing. My daughter came and asked for water. I gave her water. While she drank water, the woman came to tell me. Water is not allowed to drink How can I not give water to a little girl ? And she was play and sweat and the place is hot but what I noticed is that we are not from this country, so they dealt harshly and always watching us and this racism summit and i think if we stay there more she will come and say to us is not allowed your kids play here after all we took our kids and go out from this annoying place

Came here today with my son and my mother in law. On arrival we paid £3.50 for my son to get in, us adults were free, this in itself is fantastic as lots of other soft plays charge for adults too!! My 18 month old was straight off to play, whilst we sat and had a drink. The layout is fantastic as you can see the entire softplay from your chair and there is nothing blocking it off so I felt comfortable having a drink whilst my son explored. We ordered lunch, £3.50 for a panini and some crisps, £1 for my sons jam sandwich with some cucumber sticks! Really great pricing and the food was delicious, it is a very basic menu but not a problem as we only wanted a light lunch. All snacks were very decently priced! Only dropped a star due to the fact the floor was a bit grubby so my son was trying to eat old food off it, but this is expected in a children's play area! Can't wait to return again, even better, it's walking distance!

Ellenah has just turned 4 & is now confident using all of the play equipment. The food is reasonably priced & is tasty! I love that I can see my niece wherever she is as the soft play area is quite small. It has enough in it to keep kids busy though. On my recent visit, 3 adults went plus 2 x 5 year olds, 1 x 4 year old & 2 x 18 month olds. Everybody had a fantastic time!

We go here regularly with my 3 year old daughter and 2 year old son and are always looked after. The staff are attentive and the soft play area is always clean. It's only a small centre which is great for younger kids as you can always see them. This venue only allows under 5s even during the school holidays which is perfect as most soft plays are simply not safe for young kids due to older children running around like maniacs. We held my sons 2nd birthday here and they catered for lunch and Peppa Pig made an appearance. It was a very reasonable package.

My little girl recently turned 2, I did not want to have one of the exclusive parties here as I couldn't justify spending the money when there would only be 5 children attending, although I still wanted a sort of party atmosphere. I had heard that the owners here would not allow any food from outside to be consumed on the premises which worried me a little as I wanted my little girl to enjoy having happy birthday sung to her with cake so I called Little Pickles to see what could be done. I found the owner very helpful when I explained. She kindly set aside 2 tables for me; when I purchased the food for the children, she arranged it as a party platter on a plate and put crisps in bowls for me; and when it came to the cake - although we were not allowed to consume the cake there - she allowed candles on the cake for my little girl to blow out and then she kindly cut the cake and placed it into party bags which I had also purchased from her at a very reasonable rate of just £1 each. My little girl and her friends had a fabulous time. Thank you very much little Pickles for helping my daughter to enjoy her birthday and have her cake!!

I visited this soft play area for the first time this week and can say I will never go back. I will also advise others to not bother going unless they are happy to feel completely uncomfortable!! I went with a few friends for a catch up and to let our babies explore the play area. Firstly I was shocked when I arrived and was told it would be £2.50 to enter with my 10 month old daughter who could not even walk. They said a cup of tea was included in the price but as I don't drink tea I asked if I could swap the tea for a hot chocolate which they were happy to do for an additional £1 charge.... shocking!! So I paid the £3.50 and went into the play area where I was disappointed to find that there was not much, if anything, for my daughter to play with. Secondly and what finished it off was the disgusting service we encountered when it was time to feed our little ones. One mother only had to give her son a bottle, another was feeding her son elsewhere, I had brought home cooked baby food with me for my daughter and another mother had a packed lunch for her 1 year old son. Our table was soon approached by the owner to tell the mother with the packed lunch that no food could be brought into the place, it had to be purchased from them and there were notices stating this. It was our first time there (we have been to other soft play areas where we have taken food in for our babies and it has been fine) so we were unaware of their policy and did not go into the place reading every notice they had as our attention were on our little ones. The mother apologised and explained she was unaware and we were all going to buy lunch for ourselves from them. After the owner went on a bit more he finally went away but within a couple of minutes he came back and said so rudely "I have already told you once" and went on again about the no food policy etc. We were stunned at this point as we understood he was trying to run a business, however, the mother had already put aside the packed lunch and was not going to use the rest of it but left a small bit of sandwich that her son was already eating with him. I sat there thinking "Are you really expecting this mother to take the food out of her sons mouth and hands?" I couldn't believe how the owner was carrying on, so to try and resolve the issue I asked how much do they charge for a child sandwich which I was told £1. We offered to pay the pound so we didn't have to be cruel and remove the food from her son but he wouldn't except this and it just become very uncomfortable. The owner eventually left us alone but the atmosphere was horrible after that, we felt so out of place being watched over by the owner and his employee. I was feeding my daughter some strawberries and blueberries feeling so awkward as I was not sure I could even give them to her. I don't know how someone running a children play area can have no remorse for expecting a mother to remove food from her child when they are currently eating it. Once we finished feeding our children and the food settled we left not purchasing a single thing.

Didn't want to give any stars but you can't rate a place as zero. Visited Little Pickles today and will definitely not be going back. Took some lunch for my 1 year old and was in the middle of giving him a sandwich when the owner marched over and said I wasn't allowed to give any food to my baby as it had to be brought all from them. I apologised and said I didn't realise, I was going to buy lunch for myself anyway and put his lunch box aside. My baby carried on eating the small bit of sandwich id given him as I wasn't going to take the food away when the manager came over again and said in a not very nice tone that he'd already told me once not to give the food to him so I have to stop. I offered to give him the money towards a sandwich they sell and said all of us in the group were going to be buying food but he was having none of it. He made me feel very uncomfortable and very annoyed. I no longer wanted to stay or buy food from him. Our whole group of 5 adults and 6 babies all left without purchasing anything from them so they lost out on a lot of money from us just because I wasn't allowed to give a one year old some bread and fruit. Disgusting customer service and for a place which relies on parents and children they don't seem to care about either at all. Don't go there, much nicer soft play places around.today and will definitely not be going back. Horrible poky small soft play area. Owners are very disinterested and only seem money orientated. They close on a whim and have no clue as to customer service. The food is absolutely awful - my daughter attended a party and the food was minging a few sandwiches made with "economy bread" and with uninteresting fillings. Some very poor accompaniments to this. Having catered for numerous functions and children's parties myself I know there is more you can do on a budget. Do yourself a favour and go to Lollipops or even Littledown have a better play area indoors - cleaner and more to do!

MORE AT TripAdvisor

Being very local, I have visited this soft play numerous times - about twice a month on average. I have disliked it more and more with each visit. It has always looked rather shabby, but I've been willing to overlook that as it is a small family run business so I understand that it is unlikely that time or money allows for much redecoration. The selling point is that the play area is set up so that you can always see your child from the seating area. This is undoubtedly a good thing, however the soft play area is so very small that I find it difficult to comprehend the entry price of £3.50, in comparison to other soft play centre's in the area which charge the same, if not significantly less at quiet times, for a much larger play space. There is a wind tunnel game on the top floor of the play area for children to blow balls down, however this tends to be on constantly, making a noise akin to a jumbo jet about to take off ALL THE TIME. Parents have to shout over the noise, children have to shout over the noise, everyone ends up slightly on edge and my children always leave the soft play as if they've drunk a litre of caffeine, due to being so wired by the franticness (if that's a word!) of the ambience.

This is my favourite soft play centre for under 5's as you can see exactly where the kids are all the time and my son is able to negotiate it himself without me having to squeeze myself in after him!! Everyone said how much they enjoyed the party and one and a half hours was plenty of time as all the kids were shattered after this! Would definitely recommend this to anyone with a child under 5.

Went in for dinner on a Friday night. Unfortunately my meal was barely edible but even though I hadn’t eaten all day I still only managed half of it. My partners slow cooked beef was good but my steak pie was overcooked to the point that the moisture had been sucked out of the meat and pastry resulting in tough, stringy beef and a dry, hard crust. The potatoes and gravy were tasty but the accompanying swede, carrots and broccoli were woefully overcooked and literally disintegrated to the point I had to scoop them onto the fork. Highly disappointing meal.

Wish I'd read these reviews before going with my son for a long overdue catch up. Shocking service. Absolutely shocking. Lovely smiling waitresses giving the impression nothing was too much trouble. It clearly was far too much trouble. It's as if immediately you request something the delete button activates in the waiting staff. We ordered the following: tap water, egg mayonnaise sandwich, chicken sandwich and fries. Shouldn't be beyond most cafes to get sorted. After 20 mins no water which meant I had to go up ask for it again - not withstanding it as it was a very very warm day (despite being October!) and we were outside. After 30 minutes no lunch, asked where it was. Finally rocked up - and to my horror they toasted my bread for my egg mayo sandwich. Why? I wasn't asked if I wanted it toasted. OH - and no choice of brown or white bread. Chips were nice. Sandwich OK. My son liked his sandwich. Only one loo which wasn't particularly pleasant. Really don't bother. There are plenty of other options nearby. Wish we'd gone with the Caribbean option we looked at first.
