Little Malaya Restaurant & Takeaway in Aberdeen City

Ordered BBQ ribs, seaweed and special fried rice. The bbq sauce had the strangest flavour. Smelled like burnt paper and tasted no better. The seaweed was very sweet and my special fried rice came covered in the bbq sauce, so didn’t enjoy. A shame as the meat and rice was cooked well.

Chips soggy and bottom of tray was a puddle of grease couldn’t eat them! Curry sauce like water and tasted awful🤮.. don’t recommend atall!

The food was gorgeous as always. Little Malaya is a firm favourite of ours and the food is always delicious and plenty of it . Keep up the good work.

Nasi Goreng was excellent. I wasn't very impressed with the Munchy Box. The delivery time was fair as you receive the ETA beforehand. Thanks all.

Curry sauce was disgusting and smelt and tasted like an ashtray

The curry sauce was absolutely disgusting i have never seen or tasted curry sauce like it. The ribs had hardly any meat on them but tasted nice.

My chips were over cooked or reheated , the chicken satay had no taste of peanut or satay sauce whatsoever , it also had a very thin sauce not like it should ,my chicken rendang was very oily , the noodles were over cooked and tasteless , overall a v

Place was empty for a Friday night which shouldve been a red flag. Person who took the order was same person who "cooked" my food. My order was ready really quick and obviously just a reheat job. Food itself was obviously therefore pretty poor. Wont be back.

Very disappointed as ordered food at 16,52 pm but never arrived until 18,38 nearly 2 hours and also food cold

Hm curry sauce tastes burnt and the salt and pepper chips were a little over seasoned. Will order again some day to try the Nasi lemak hopefully that will be better

Absolutely fantastic. Great delivery time, friendly delivery driver and delicious food. What more could you want? Highly recommended by me and I would recommend Little Malaya to all. A definite thumbs up from me A+++++++ 👍👍

Good was lovely as always. Could have been warmer, particularly the sauces but it wasn’t too bad and I ate it so quickly it didn’t matter too much. I just zapped the sauce in the microwave

Having lived in Southeast Asia for years I had hopes for this place "Tom Yum" was sweet and with pineapple. Not the classic Thai dish advertised. Front of house bloke needs lessons in customer service if he wants return custom. Muttering in Bahasa when you've failed to explain anything about the dine in vs takeaway lunch menus is just pathetic. At least it was cheap.

Supposed to be 8.40-9.00 then put back until 9.15. First time ordering from this restaurant and will be the only time Food was well below standard to what we have had from others chicken fried rice was white no taste at all chips bad quality with lots of black, noodles were cold and chicken in black bean was average

We’ve had takeaway from Little Malaya a few times now. They are our current favourite! The chicken captain’s curry is to die for. The coconut rice was a perfect accompaniment and the seaweed was delicious. Just the right balance of salty and sweet! Can’t recommend highly enough! Delicious!

Below average… kung po is nowhere near the real one. Beef was very chewy with lack of taste. Not going to order again from here

Food was early which was good as they weren’t busy driver said. Crispy beef was ok but fried rice was all mushy and couldn’t be eaten. Chicken satay was singed and had that ashy burnt taste and stank. Soon as you opened container you could smell it and again fried rice was mush. All binned. Would have taken it all back but what’s the point. Will never return

Placed order for delivery almost an hour ago. Still not arrived, bet if I had entered my card details instead of cash on delivery with a tip included by the way, it would have been here by now. Estimated delivery time 7:10pm still waiting and do not even think of calling as rings once then cuts out. Pathetic 😠 😡

Set meal was meant to come with sweet &sour and curry sauces. What turned up was neither of these and both oily and inedible!! Was then told as they don’t charge for the sauces nothing to be refunded to replaced….shocking!!

Tries to order a home delivery on their website then Just Eat both unsuccessfully. Called to be told their website down, they don't take card payments over phone, they are very busy and to us the "app" and goodbye ! Frustrating, won't bother again. Successfully ordered over phone from a trusted restaurant, terrible customer service & interaction Little Malaya, you just lost a client

Brilliant service and food was delicious

Fantastic food , Hor fun and Kueh teoh are great options and bring back memories of Malaysia. The lobak are really good too. Hard to find good Malaysian food in this part of the world.

Delivery arrived a good 30 mins after it left shop so was cold. Munchy box was half the size of what was expected nowhere near enough for 2 people to share. Rip off for the price!! Very disappointed.

Order from here regularly & the food is normally 2nd to none but after spending £45 i am so disappointed, chicken was dry & crumbly, beef dry & chewy, sauces had a layer of grease on top after mixing it through it had a burnt taste to it, the only semi edible items were the rice & the chips but im beginning to think its a safer idea to chuck it all so close to Christmas. Hoping this is a one off but dont think i'll be back sadly. Another strange thing was the delivery time of under 30mins.

Would not recommend. Had sit in dinner booked in advance and with less than 24 hours notice, venue messaged and cancelled to advise delivery/takeaways took priority over sit in reservations and they did not have capacity to do both. Will not take risk in booking again.

Order sweet and sour chicken and mentioned that no Onion and Peppers. Order came not only onion and peppers plus carrots, cucumber and other vegetables as well

Nothing like photos on menu, chips were like warm , chicken was nearly burnt, curry was like water. Was expecting a bigger portion of rice as well for £13:50. Just not worth it. Also the guy on front of house needs to learn some customer care, miserable man / maybe owner.😡😡😡

Ordered a takeaway, Sweeta and sour chicken balls, fried rice and portion of chips.. Chips were disgusting , reheated and inedible, fried rice tasted of cooking oil and the chicken balls were dry the sweet and sour sauce was very thick. Not an enjoyable meal at all .I definitely don't recommend this takeaway..sadly..

Had an awful experience here. Food cold. Taste was without sounding harsh.... SHOCKING. curry sauce had almost a mint taste to it. Chicken dry. After that it got thrown in the bin. £30 wasted for tiny portions and cold tasteless food. Thanks. Won't be back

Great food and a great delivery. It was my perfect delivery, driver called before arriving, I went down, he turned up, had the food ready, I collected, politely spoke for a short time, I was back in my room with my food within minutes. The food itself was really nice, still hot. If I were here longer I'd order again. There seems to be a lot of unhealthy foods around this area so I feel like these were the best option. I'm glad I went for these guys. I'd eaten my starter and the main was still a good temperature. Great service.

It is just disgraceful the way the owner treats customers. He is arrogant and extremely rude, very very poor manners. Safe tip, Avoid unless you want to pay for mistreatment, food is not what it used to be either.

I am so disappointed in this restaurant. We’ve been ordering from them for quite a while. It started off so yummy but it’s just been getting worse and worse each time. Unfortunately I won’t be going back there again. tonight was just the end of it. Not good.

Used to order from here quite a bit but unfortunately they've gone a bit downhill. They used to do THE BEST seaweed but now it's way too sweet. The last couple of times we've ordered the food has been a bit underwhelming, though the plum duck and noodles we had was good even if the starter and seaweed wasn't great. Delivery is usually super quick

It’s not the first time I’ve ordered from here and as always the food was amazing and well packaged. The delivery time was a lot earlier than stated so everyone was happy and the customer service is spot on!

Food was of poor standard. The starters were all freezing & the crispy chilli beef was soggy, ended up in the bin.

Went to place an order for my 87 year old grandmother, were told they would not deliver to her address due to a previous issue, wouldn’t disclose what the issue was, the only issue we have had was the last time we ordered for her that they were over 2 hours late a few years ago they received there payment. Shocking attitude on the phone laughing saying we were showing ourselves up. myself and my mum order from here all the time, said it doesn’t matter how many times we ordered from them. Disgusted with their attitude and will not be ordering again.

Honey Chilli Chicken great as always. The chicken satay was disappointing - there was a grisly bit of chicken in there. Delivery was fine but with the delivery charge on top of the food prices - it felt just a bit pricey

Food was packaged well, delivered quick and food piping hot. Food was fantastic. The Wat Tan Hor is absolutely delicious and the best I've ever had in Aberdeen. It is a traditional Malaysian Chinese dish and I absolutely love it from Little Malaya. The Hokkien Noodles was very good as well and so was the Curry Capitan dish. First time ordering from here and I will definitely will order again tp try the other Malaysian Chinese dishes. Food was very fresh and very delicious full of flavour! Well done to the chefs and the team, keep it up!

Smoked Chicken. Delicious. Salt and Pepper Chicken Balls. Not what I was expecting, these are deep fried in batter, and almost the size of a Costco Nugget. Delicious though. Nasi Goreng. Nothing like the Nasi Goreng the Army Cooks used to serve occasionally. Not to my taste but that's on me. Second time I've eaten here in a week. Next time I'm up this way, I'll eat here again.

Delicious. Satay Chicken is one of my all time favourite dishes, and I really enjoyed it from here. Nyonya Chicken, very nice, worth trying if yo've not had it before Curry Noodles with chicken. First time I've had this, I'll have it again.

beef chow main, 4 small bits of beef rest noodles and it was bland and cold. Special fried rice, cold and we never seen this type before , it was rice rice rice. Shocking service
